New Orleans’ Buku Festival Returns With A Special Fall 2021 Event, BUKU: Planet B
Since the last year and a half put a damper on live events due to the pandemic, every festival is planning their comeback in a different way. Some, like Coachella, have simply rescheduled for 2022, while other events like Bonnaroo are charging full speed ahead for fall of 2021. New Orleans’ boutique event Buku Festival is splitting the difference, offering a smaller one-off version of their festival this fall while they plan to comeback in full force next spring. The event will take place this October 22 and October 23 in New Orleans, and offers a pretty stacked lineup for what’s considered a scaled back version.
Headlined by artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Machine Gun Kelly, Playboi Carti and Pooh Shiesty, the event shows its range with further inclusions like Kaytranada, Alison Wonderland and Jamie xx, along with Remi Wolf, Arlo Parks, Yung Baby Tate and Flo Milli. Pre-sale for the event begins on Thursday, June 10 with general tickets on sale starting Monday, June 14.
The festival’s co-creator, Dante DiPasquale, said the new take on the event is inspired by watching fans hold steady through uncertain times. “For the past year, we’ve watched our fans step outside of their comfort zones and persevere through weird times,” said Dante DiPasquale, BUKU’s co-creator. “Planet B is the result of us being inspired by them to do the same, and all of us at Team BUKU are excited to finally party with them again.”

Trippie Redd And Playboi Carti Commit Therapeutic Vandalism In Their Explosive ‘Miss The Rage’ Video
The concept meeting for Trippie Redd’s new “Miss The Rage” video with Playboi Carti must have included the phrase “homemade rage room” somewhere because that’s exactly what they wound up creating. The video opens with the punk-influenced rappers pouring gasoline all over an old car at an abandoned lot and setting it on fire, then chucking other random bits of garbage at the resulting blaze as they perform their long-awaited, much-beloved collaboration.
The video, which arrives just about three weeks after the initial release, might be just the thing to increase anticipation for Trippie’s upcoming fifth album Trip At Knight, which is expected to release in July. He’s been previewing new music via Instagram non-stop since his last project, the deluxe version of Pegasus, produced in conjunction with Travis Barker, was released at the beginning of the year. In the meantime, Trippie was also announced as one of over 20 artists set to appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming film F9.
Meanwhile, Playboi Carti is a month removed from his “Sky” video and has been teasing a project of his own on Instagram, where he wrote “i waNt to DroP like RN.”

Mario Judah Fans Are Dismayed To Learn He Was Taken Off Trippie Redd’s ‘Miss The Rage’
Last night, Trippie Redd and Playboi debuted their dizzying trap-metal collaboration, “Miss The Rage” to general acclaim among their fans on Twitter, but the highly-anticipated song turned out to be missing something: Its original hook, which was sung by rock-rap upstart (and semi-professional Playboi Carti troll) Mario Judah. Upon learning that the “Die Very Rough” wailer was discluded from the original mix, fans armed themselves with memes and shot “Mario Judah” back onto Twitter’s trending charts.
the Mario Judah miss the rage hook was actually amazing kinda sad that didn’t make it

Fans couldn’t help comparing Mario Judah’s previewed version of the song to the one that officially featured Playboi Carti, with some calling the leak better and others defending the commercial release.
whoever created that lie that Mario Judah’s version of Miss the Rage is better than Trippie’s and Carti’s deserves a life sentence

Trippie’s new song arrives just over two months after his latest album, the Travis Barker-produced Neon Shark Vs. Pegasus. Trippie also recently appeared on Internet Money’s Juice WRLD-featuring single “Blast Off,” avoiding zombies in the song’s animated music video.
Carti, meanwhile, has been teasing the deluxe version of his 2020 album Whole Lotta Red — the one Mario Judah playfully tried to hijack from under Carti after repeated delays in its release — and dropped a video for “Sky” in April. Despite the delays, Whole Lotta Red became Carti’s first-ever No. 1 album.
