On this day in 1996, Ghostface Killah’s released highly anticipated debut album Ironman was released on the Loud/RCA imprint. With exclusive in-house Wu production from True Master and the RZA coupled with Raekwon The Chef appearing on almost every song on the album, making this album one of the best concept albums completed by the nine-man conglomerate to date.
The 16-track album featured several hits that bolstered the Wu-Tang Clan’s status as the best rap collective in the game, including the haunting street saga “Motherless Child”, “All That I Got Is You” featuring Mary J. Blige and the late Popa Wu and “Winter Warz”, which appeared on the Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood soundtrack.
This album proceeded Ghost’s abstract lyrical content as witnessed on 2000’s Supreme Clientele LP, but its storytelling premise keeps listeners glued to the cadence and rhyme style of Mr. Coles equally as much as they are attracted to RZA’s production.
Ironman finally reached platinum status in 2004, which still proves to be Ghost’s most successful album of his career. The WTC would follow up with albums that attempt to mirror the conceptual preciseness of Ironman, however, none of the Clan’s solo projects can be compared in its totality to that of Tony Starks.
Tekashi 6ix9ine has once again been arrested. According to TMZ, he was arrested for violating the terms of his supervised release.
6ix9ine was taken into custody on Tuesday morning and will be prosecuted at the NYC federal courthouse for violating his probation conditions. There currently is no confirmation of the violation.
6ix9ine reached his plea deal in 2020 after battling charges of racketeering, firearms, narcotics trafficking, and more.
Earlier this month, the controversial and embattled rapper signed a new record deal with Kartel Music, reportedly for over $6 million.
According to TMZ, 6ix9ine will record a new album with Mexican regional artists and tour across the United States, Mexico, and Central and South America.
The rainbow-haired rapper will earn $1 million for a 10-song album and $250,000 for each show of a tour, resulting in nearly $6 million in earnings.
But there is some fine print. In accepting the deal, 6ix9ine agrees to sidestep legal issues and digital beef while also avoiding arrest.
But just last month, Tekashi 6ix9ine decided to use his drama to generate some views, and this time, it involves his former flame, singer Yailin La Mas Viral. The troubled and now wanted Brooklyn rapper dropped “Repuesta,” a diss track, along with a video yesterday (Sept. 4) aimed at an ex-girlfriend and fellow artist, Yailin La Mas Viral and the ‘Get The Strap” rapper goes in on his former lover.
Even though all of the lyrics are in Spanish (and can understood in depth by those who speak the language), the visual for Repuesta (which means response) gives viewers 6ix9ine’s perception of the rocky relationship between the two artists. Also, Tekashi, known for his flamboyant wear and hairstyles, toned it down this time, donning a black suit while casually spitting his verses instead of his signature screaming style.
The visual includes footage of the rapper and Yailin La Mas Viral when they were still together. The duo dated throughout 2023 before ending things in August. Footage also includes 6ix9ine interacting with Yailin La Mas Viral’s son, whom she shares with Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. The relationship publicly went sour when it was reported that 6ix9ine was arrested in the Dominican Republic on domestic violence charges back in January after Yailin’s mother made a report.
Diddy allegedly had female attendees to his alleged “freak off” parties weighed before they could enter, according to a party planner who alleges they worked with the Bad Boy mogul in 2004 and 2005. Speaking during an interview with the New York Post, the organizer, who preferred to remain anonymous, detailed the alleged process of vetting female guests.
“We would do a weigh-in, if necessary,” they said. “The girls had to be young and hot, so I always had a scale nearby in case I needed to make sure. The number was 140 pounds, but if a girl was really tall, there was a little bit of discretion involved.” As for other requirements, she added: “No flab, no cellulite. Not overly pierced or tattooed. No short hair. And the girls had to be young and hot.”
Other strict restrictions revolved around the girls’ dress code as well. The party planner added: “No pants. No jeans. No flat shoes. Every girl had to wear a party dress, preferably very short, just enough to cover her butt cheeks, but no longer than mid-thigh. Cleavage showing. And every single one of them had to be wearing stilettos. That one, there was no exception: high stilettos.” One aspect that allegedly wasn’t questioned was the girls’ ages. “It was don’t ask, don’t tell. At the time, I was really young myself and I honestly thought that we weren’t asking their age because of drinking laws,” the source said. “I never stayed around for the Freak Offs and had no idea that these girls were expected to have sex with people.”
Diddy has denied the allegations he’s faced time and time again. He’s currently residing behind bars in Brooklyn while awaiting trial for charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. He’s pleaded not guilty to those crimes as well. Be on the lookout for further updates on Diddy on HotNewHipHop.
Diddy’s allegations and arrest have been the trending topic for well over a month. The mogul was arrested over a month ago on RICO charges such as racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. Hundreds upon hundreds of alleged victims have come forward with harrowing claims of sexual assault and rape. But despite the severity of these accusations, the internet has been making sure to find ways to crack jokes. No matter what you may think about the Bad Boy Records founder, the wise cracks can really come across in bad taste. Take for example two college students who are going viral for shamelessly sporting Diddy blackface and baby oil Halloween costumes.
According to AllHipHop, the racist and insensitive get-ups appeared in a since-deleted TikTok video. The clip was uploaded to the platform from a woman who reportedly attends San Diego State University. “How the group chat dressed for Halloween,” the post was captioned, and it also included other kids’ costumes. As it stands, it is not confirmed if the boy (dressed in blackface) and the girl (dressed in the baby oil costume) go to SDSU. According to another report from NBC 7 of San Diego, CA, the institution released a statement addressing the situation.
The Diddy Halloween Costumes Have Tens Of Million Of Views On Twitter
“The use of blackface and any actions making light of sexual assault are deeply offensive and have no place in our community. The individuals photographed are not confirmed SDSU students. Our team is working to confirm information including the location and identities of those involved.” In addition to doing extra work to determine who the kids are, it’s also too soon if there are any conduct violations. As you might imagine, this had sparked some heated discourse on social media, particularly Twitter. People who are defending the kids for their costumes are mostly white, but there are certainly a lot of others outraged.
What are your thoughts on these Diddy Halloween costumes? How insensitive is this and do you think joking about serious topics needs to stop? Do you think these students (or at least the boy) will be expelled from their university? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Diddy’s sons, Christian, Quincy, and Justin, allegedly got into a heated exchange with Ray J outside of Tara Electra’s Unruly Agency Halloween bash in Los Angeles, over the weekend. According to TMZ, just as the two sides were ready to come to blows, Chris Brown allegedly stepped in to de-escalate the situation.
The outlet reports that Ray J was walking through the parking lot alongside Amber Rose and his manager, David Weintraub when the trio allegedly approached him. They allegedly voiced their frustration about Ray J’s public comments regarding their father in recent weeks, following his arrest in September on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. As tensions rose, Justin and Christian allegedly made it clear they wanted to fight over the situation. Brown allegedly saw the incident from his nearby car and rushed over the calm things down.
Diddy Brings Christian & Justin To Premiere Of Chris Brown’s “Welcome To My Life”
Christian, Quincy, and Justin have all been vocally supportive of their father throughout the allegations. Taking to Instagram, earlier this month, the family shared a statement defending Diddy. They wrote in the caption of a family photo: “The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media. We stand united, supporting you every step of the way, We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.” They turned off comments on the post.
Diddy is currently residing behind bars in Brooklyn while awaiting trial in his case. He’s already pleaded not guilty and denied all of the allegations he has faced. Be on the lookout for further updates on Diddy, Ray J, and Chris Brown on HotNewHipHop.
It may not be the best time for Diddy’s children to be involved in a fight. TMZ details an incident at a Halloween party where Diddy’s sons were about to fight Ray J.
The three Combs sons, Christian, Quincy, and Justin, were at Tara Electra’s Unruly Agency Halloween bash on Halloween, and it truly almost got unruly. The Combs clan saw Ray J outside the party, as he was with Amber Rose and his manager, David Weintraub. The trio surrounded Ray J, upset about comments he had made about Diddy.
As the altercation escalated, with Christian and Justin reportedly eager to fight, Chris Brown, who was nearby in his car, allegedly diffused the situation and ran over to break up the fight.
After Breezy, others stepped in to prevent the incident from escalating. TMZ sources reveal this is not the first altercation between Ray J and Diddy’s sons.
Ray J has been vocal about Diddy since a video emerged of the mogul abusing Cassie in a California hotel. Speaking with Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Ray J acknowledges that “everybody messes up,” but he and Diddy “can’t be cool after that.”
Expanding on the matter, Ray J said: “It’s unforgiveable, it’s too much. Never being able to be around us and our world ’cause we don’t condone that is definitely a fact.”
Furthermore, Ray J thinks Diddy needs a public “whipping,” suggesting, “100 lashes, 1,000 lashes. That would help.”

Kanye West and Adidas have officially agreed on an out-of-court settlement after years of legal conflict between the two sides. The brand originally cut ties with the controversial rapper after he made several antisemitic comments in 2022. They’ve been caught up in multiple lawsuits with one another in the time since. Ye has slammed the company on numerous occasions on social media.
CEO Bjorn Gulden confirmed the decision during a conference call on Tuesday. “There isn’t any more open issues, and there is no… money going either way, and we both move on,” Gulden told reporters, according to CNBC. “There were tensions on many issues, and… when you put the claims on the right side and you put the claims on the left side, both parties said we don’t need to fight anymore and withdrew all the claims.” Details of the agreement were kept private, but Gulden noted they didn’t exchange any payments.
West’s antics in 2022, which also included wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt, resulted in him losing out on far more brand deals than just Adidas. Gap, Balenciaga, and more fashion houses all cut ties with him, while several social media sites kicked him off their platforms. “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,” the company explained in a statement at the time. “Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
More recently, West has been performing overseas for his Vultures listening events with Ty Dolla Sign. He’s also gearing up for the release of a new solo album, Bully. Be on the lookout for further updates on Kanye West and Adidas on HotNewHipHop.
