Has Prince Of The Supreme Team Been Released From Federal Prison?

Screenshot 2024 09 11 at 3.39.47 PM

Rumors have been circulating since Showtime’s release of The Supreme Team series last year, which was narrated by Nas, that Gerald “Prince” Miller, one of the leaders of 80s Queens drug ring known as the Supreme Team(not to be confused with the pioneer rap group The World Famous Supreme Team), would be released sometime in the near future. Now, according to several reliable sources, that day has come.

According to Instagrm page @meccapolis, the lieutenant and nephew to notorious drug kingpin Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff is scheduled to be released today(September 11) from USP Big Sandy in Kentucky. TheSource.com has also obtained a text message between Miller’s wife and brother confirming his release this week.

For those who don’t know, Prince was one of the people name dropped in 50 Cent’s infamous 2002 hit “Ghetto Qur’an(Forgive Me)” in the first bars of the first verse where he rapped, “Yo, when you hear talk of the Southside, you hear talk of the Team/ See niggas feared Prince and respected ‘Preme/ For all you slow motherfuckers, I’ma break it down iller/ See Preme was the business man and Prince was the killer..”

It is also well known that the auto-bio story told by Fif in the silver screen classic Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ was based on the conflict between him and Prince’s uncle Supreme, who is a known associate of Irv Gotti and the Murder Inc. organization.

Miller has served 32 years in a federal prison for his role in the drug organization that was rumored to have netted up to $200,000 a day. Miller was originally sentenced to life without parole in 1992, but word on the street is that a new bill was passed into law in recent weeks that allows any federal inmate over 55 years of age that has been convicted of a non-violent crime is now eligible for parole.

Sharpe hasn’t shied away from discussing his love life over the years. Back in 2023, he told Chad Johnson why he’s never gotten married during an episode of his Club Shay Shay podcast. “I would have loved to have gotten married earlier in my career, but my career was the most important. So I was no good. I was a terrible father,” he admitted at the time, as noted by Page Six. “I probably was a terrible brother, terrible son, I definitely was a terrible boyfriend because football was the most important thing, I was consumed with that because I wanted to get my grandmother and my family out of the conditions that I grew up in.”

Jonathan Majors has taken some serious career losses lately, and to make up for it, it looks like he’s come up with a new business venture. According to TMZ, the former Marvel actor is attending his first-ever convention later this month. The con in question is the Famous Monsters Fest in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, which is scheduled for next week (September 15).

Reportedly, Majors will be also selling autographs at the convention for $140 each, or a whopping $160 for autographed headshots. Other stars like Lord Of The Rings’ Andy Serkis, Star Trek‘s George Takei, Halloween’s Tyler Mane, and more are also expected to attend.

The news arrives just a few months after Majors was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Marvel cut ties with him as a result. He was previously expected to reprise his role of Kang in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The film appears to have been scrapped for the time being in favor of Avengers: Doomsday, starring Robert Downey Jr. Reports of Majors’ new autograph endeavor also surface amid rumors that he’s struggling financially after his conviction.

A source also told The Jasmine Brand this month that his girlfriend Meagan Good has been providing for him, covering his child support, and more. “Meagan pays for everything,” they alleged. “They really wanted this dog, and she got stuck paying the $75,000 training bill. Like, that’s cr*zy! No one knows what Meagan sees in this guy. If things keep up this way, she may not be able to pay her mortgage.” What do you think of Jonathan Majors selling autographs for $140? LL Cool J And Eminem Pay Tribute And Re-Create Iconic Hip-Hop Moments In Their New ‘Murdergram Deux’ Video

LL Cool J just dropped his latest album, The FORCE, last week, and the headlining song has been his Eminem collaboration “Murdergram Deux” (which was also co-produced by Q-Tip, to further add to the hip-hop credibility). Now Em and LL have gone ahead and given the song a new video.

The clip notably serves as a tribute to some of the hip-hop that preceded present day: As Complexnotes, the visual features re-creations of LL’s cover for his 1987 album Bigger And Deffer, the art for Big Daddy Kane’s 1988 project Long Live The Kane, and Death Row Records’ 1996 cover of Vibe.

The song sees Em engaged in some of his classic wordplay. For LL’s first new album in over a decade, Eminem busted out lines like, “What? A supa-dupa switch / I can’t understand a single word you’re saying / I think you have syrup brain, ’bout to finish you like polyurethane / All that molly probably sure to drain your spinal fluid from your vertebrae / This the Murdergram and I brought my murder game / My sh*t fire, that is why you log on it like Duraflame.”

Drake Seemingly Weighs In On Kendrick Lamar Being Selected Over Lil Wayne For The Super Bowl Halftime Show

Drake doesn’t seem too pleased about Kendrick Lamar being selected to perform during the Super Bowl LIX halftime show. Wonder why!

The “First Person Shooter” rapper showed his support for Lil Wayne by sharing five photos of his mentor to an Instagram Story on Tuesday night, a likely reference to the controversy over the Louisiana native not being selected for the New Orleans-set game. (Nicki Minaj has a lot of thoughts.) Instead, the honor went to Lamar, who will likely perform Drake diss track “Not Like Us” for an audience of 125 million people and countless owls.

Earlier this year, Lil Wayne expressed his desire to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. “I will not lie to you, I have not got a call,” he said on YG’s 4HUNNID podcast. “But we all praying, we keeping our fingers crossed. I’m working hard. I’m going to make sure this next album and everything I do is killer, so I’m going make it very hard for them to… I want to just make it hard for them not to highlight the boy.”

Considering how well the New Orleans Saints played during a week 1 win against Carolina, maybe the Derek Carr-led team will make it to the Super Bowl and invite Lil Wayne to perform the National Anthem. Dream big!

Super Bowl LIX takes place on February 9, 2025.

Why Is PETA Protesting Pharrell?

Pharrell had a screening of his new biopic Piece By Piece at the Toronto International Film Festival yesterday (September 10), but the proceedings were interrupted by a PETA protestor. But, why?

Why Is PETA Protesting Pharrell?

Since early 2023, Pharrell has been the Men’s Creative Director for Louis Vuitton. After the screening incident, PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman issued a statement after the incident, saying, “We would be happy to stop disrupting Pharrell’s appearances but despite a lot of lip service, he’s yet to ditch fur and exotic skins. Pharrell can decide in a heartbeat, today, to use his power for good and stop being complicit in cruelty — it’s quite easy to be kind.”

The statement also notes the protestor “blasted” Pharrell “for his disgraceful use of wild-animal skins and fur.”

After the protester was removed from the screening, Pharrell said to the audience:

“Let me address that. You know, Rome wasn’t made in a day, and sometimes when you have plans to change things and situations, you have to get in a position of power and of influence, where you can change people’s minds progression. That’s not necessarily the way to do it, and sitting in my position, when I have conversations on behalf of organizations like that, unbeknownst to them, they come out here and do themselves a disservice. That’s OK: When that change comes, everybody in this room, will remember that I told you we’re actually working on that, and if she would have just asked me, I would have told her. But instead, she wanted to repeat herself.”
