Juicy J Says Three 6 Mafia Broke Up Due To Excessive Drug Use

Hip Hop fans are preparing themselves for what is expected to be yet another monumental moment on Verzuz. After over a year of delays, cancellations, and false promises, we’ll finally see Three 6 Mafia and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony join together on stage. As usual, Verzuz is a place for celebrating our icons and taking a stroll down the memory lane of their catalogs, but fans are still weighing in about which group they believe will take the battle crown.

Ahead of Three 6 Mafia’s appearance, Juicy J caught up with Nas and Miss Info on their podcast The Bridge: 50 Years of Hip Hop where he spoke about the Memphis group’s rise and eventual tumble. According to the Oscar winner, drugs played a significant role in their retreat from the spotlight.

“From heroin to meth to cocaine, all kinds of pills,” J said of the group’s breakup. “A lot of drugs were consumed during the times we were together. When everybody was sober and sh*t, everybody’s on the same page But when cocaine’s involved, things change. But I’m not pointing a figure at nobody.”

He reportedly added that he couldn’t think of any other reason why Three 6 Mafia struggled through that period. “People wasn’t showing up in the studio,” he said. “Business was crazy, everything’s folding… it was the drugs.” Make sure to tune into Verzuz on Thursday, December 2 at 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 p.m. ET.

Chris Cuomo Suspended From CNN Indefinitely For Allegedly Helping Brother Andrew

Things have certainly shifted for Chris Cuomo this week and not for the better. The news anchor was once one of the more respected figures over at CNN, but today (November 30), the network has announced that he has been suspended indefinitely after information about his involvement in his brother Andrew Cuomo’s case surfaced.

The latter Cuomo is currently being investigated for alleged sexual misconduct in the workplace. According to reports, Chris used his position and resources to allegedly help his brother face off against his accusers.

The news may not seem like much to some, but the media journalism world is shocked at the accusations.

“The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense,” a CNN spokesperson said. “The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions.”

“When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother’s staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly,” the spokesperson continued. “But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second. However, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation.”

Andrew Cuomo accuser Charlotte Bennett has called out CNN for not immediately firing Chris, adding that it shows a lack of “both morals and a backbone.”

The cache of documents included text messages between Chris Cuomo and Melissa DeRosa, a then-top aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, that suggested he was instrumental in working to craft a defense against a flood of sexual misconduct allegations. The text messages also revealed that Chris Cuomo sought to use his connections in the press to help prepare the then-governor’s team as accusers started to make their stories public.

However, Chris Cuomo reportedly told investigators that he asked his colleagues about a story written by journalist Ronana Farrow and stated that his inquiries are not unlike others he has made about other news cycles.

Ye And Kim Kardashian Reunite At The Late Virgil Abloh’s Last Louis Vuitton Fashion Show

Earlier this year, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) after seven years of marriage. The split was a fairly peaceful one from both sides, but in recent weeks, Ye has made a push at reconciliation. In the midst of this, Kim has been seen on serval occasions with comedian Pete Davidson, which has sparked several dating rumors. In the meantime, Ye and Kim were reunited in public for the first time since Ye’s attempts to mend their relationship.

The pair were photographed together at the final Louis Vuitton show for Virgil Abloh, the famed designer and DJ who tragically passed away on Sunday following a two-year battle with cancer, which he chose to keep private. Ye and Kim also attended the show with their eldest daughter North West.

This comes after he dedicated his most recent Sunday Service to Abloh. A message that appeared at the end of the service read, “In loving memory of Virgil Abloh, the creative director of Donda.” Ye and Abloh worked together on several occasions, with the latter helping craft the cover art for Ye’s albums My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Yeezus, as well as Watch The Throne, his 2011 joint album with Jay-Z.

Rihanna’s BFF Melissa Denies Confirming Singer’s Pregnancy Rumors

Her fans have already deemed her to be a national treasure, but Barbados made things official. Yesterday (November 29), we reported on the news that Barbados had cut ties with the British and would no longer be under the Queen. They have a new president and during an official ceremony, Rihanna was bestowed the honor of becoming her home country’s 11th official National Hero.

The appearance gathered worldwide applause from Rihanna’s Navy, but as soon as news of her title was shared, rumors about her being with child ran rampant.

People took a look at Rihanna’s body language and made claims that the singer was pregnant with A$AP Rocky’s child. Neither artist has even hinted at becoming parents, but like many social media rumors, the gossip quickly spread. The Neighborhood Talk posted about the online chatter and soon, Rihanna’s longtime best friend Melissa Forde was captured “liking” their post.

After the outlet put Forde on blast and suggested that she may have confirmed the information with that “like,” she returned to set the record straight.

“[Crying laughing emojis] guys this is a high ass moment wtfff,” wrote Forde in the comments. “How y’all gon set me up like that? You know I’m not with the messy sh*t carry on guys nothing to see here.” Check it out below.

Nearly Half Of The Victims’ Families At Astroworld Have Rejected Travis Scott’s Offer To Pay For Funeral Expenses

In the days after this month’s Astroworld Festival tragedy, Travis Scott put out a statement in which he offered to pay for the funeral expenses for the ten people who died during the event. This came before lawsuits began to mount against Scott and Astroworld organizers, with one of the latest ones amounting to $750 million from over 125 Astroworld attendees. On Monday, it was reported that the family of nine-year-old Ezra Blount, the youngest victim in the tragedy, declined Scott’s offer to pay for funeral expenses. Turns out Blount’s family was not the only one to do so.

According to Rolling Stone, three additional families also denied Scott’s offer through their lawyers. Philip Corboy, who represents the families of 21-year-old friends Jacob Jurinek and Franco Patino; Tony Buzbee, the lawyer for the family of 21-year-old Axel Acosta; and Richard Mithoff, who represents the family of 14-year-old John Hilgert, each expressed distaste for Scott’s offer in separate statements.

Corboy said he held discussions with the Jurinek and Patino families about Scott’s offer and they “realized quickly that all he was trying to do was trying to lessen the public outcry on his case.” He added, “It took them each about three seconds to say ‘No, no no.’” Corboy continued, “If he’s trying to impress upon the families that he’s sincere and has concern for them and realize that funerals can be expensive, what Scott’s team did is not the way to do it.” He concluded, “You don’t get a piece of paper in the mail from a lawyer in Beverly Hills who says he represents Travis Scott. These families are raw right now; that lacks any personal touch.”

Mithoff also spoke on behalf of the Hilgerts. “It was not an offer they were going to seriously consider,” he said. “Of all the things this case is about, that’s the least of any concern. This family is set on making change and ensuring this never happens at a concert again. I find offering to pay for funerals frankly demeaning and really inappropriate to the magnitude of the tragedy that unfolded.”

Buzbee says he received a call from a local attorney but went against returning the call. “It’s bullsh*t,” he said. “If you gave a sh*t about these families, you wouldn’t have to put out a press release for everyone to see saying he’s willing to pay for a funeral.” He continued, “Let the families grieve and shut up, that’s it. When something like this happens, there’s not a whole lot someone like Travis Scott could do to assuage their pain. He says he feels sorry for them but he’s quick to say it wasn’t his fault. He’s no different than any defendant pointing fingers to someone else. They don’t want funeral expenses from him. Whatever we get from him we’re going to get through the court system.”

Chrisean Rock Posts Videos With Blueface Following Explosive Argument

Their fight may have been played out for the world’s stage of social media, but Chrisean Rock seems to want to reconcile with Blueface. The rapper and his protegé were introduced when she was featured as one of several women who moved into his home and participated in a boxing competition. The winner would have their chance at being Blueface’s artist, but instead, it has been suggested that these two mixed business with pleasure.

We previously reported on Blueface and Wack 100 attempting to have Chrisean kicked out of the home she has reportedly been staying in with Blueface. There was some sort of altercation and in videos shared online, Wack is seen telling the police that he wants her removed from the residence.

However, Chrisean refused to budge and while there were plenty of Livestream and viral clips that circulated online, the conclusion of it all is unknown. Chrisean gave her version of an indirect plea to kiss and makeup by sharing two posts that centered on her beau. The pair collaborated on a track and she revisited that heartbreaking song about a couple that loves one another but can’t stop fighting.

Blueface has remained quiet about this latest episode in his saga with Rock, unlike his reaction to her tattoos that she dedicated to the rapper. Check out her recent posts below.

50 Cent Digs In The Vault & Shares Music Video Snippet Of Young Dolph

His immediate online response to Young Dolph’s death caused 50 Cent to receive an onslaught of backlash, but he has returned with a track that he dragged out of the vault. Today, Dolph’s loved ones gathered together to mourn his loss and celebrate his life. Memphis police continue to investigate the callous murder of the rapper and father who was gunned down in front of a local bakery as he reportedly picked up items for his mother.

There have been several rumors of retaliation, shootings, and even the murder of a Memphis comedian, however, authorities have yet to give adequate, public updates about their investigation. While that may be frustrating to those that admired Dolph, police don’t want to give up too much information about what they know thus far.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent has returned to Instagram with a snippet of Young Dolph‘s verse on Gucci Mane’s “Stunting Ain’t Nuthin,” a track from 2017. Other features included Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi and the song was produced by Mike WiLL Made-It and Myles Harris. Fif dropped off Dolph’s portion of the music video that was directed by Eif Rivera. Even Rivera hopped in the comments surprised by the clip.

“Sheesh the vault . 5 years ago,” wrote the director. 50 Cent marked this one as a “World premiere,” so check it out below.

Juicy J Says Three 6 Mafia Using ‘The Wildest Drugs’ Caused Their Break-Up

Later this week, Three 6 Mafia will go up against Bone Thugs-N-Harmony for another battle of Verzuz. Before that happens, Juicy J, who is one of two remaining members in the group, along with DJ Paul, spoke with Nas and radio personality Minya “Miss Info” about the rise and fall of the group. On the Spotify podcast The Bridge: 50 Years of Hip Hop, Juicy J admitted that “drugs really broke Three 6 Mafia up.” When asked about was specific drugs caused the group’s end, Juicy J replied, “the wildest drugs.”

“From heroin to meth to cocaine, all kinds of pills,” he continued. “A lot of drugs were consumed during the times we were together. When everybody was sober and sh*t, everybody’s on the same page But when cocaine’s involved, things change. But I’m not pointing a figure at nobody.” Juicy J added that he “can’t think of nothing else” that would’ve caused the group to break up and said it was why “people wasn’t showing up in the studio… business was crazy, everything’s folding… it was the drugs.”

Juicy J recalled a story involving Lord Infamous, DJ Paul’s late brother, who was a part of the group until 2005. “I had to bust up in Lord Infamous room before and I was almost in tears,” he said. “I thought the n**** was dead at first. So I had to go get the keys, because he wouldn’t answer the phone. I was banging on his door. So I had to bust up in his room and had to pretty much beat him [with a pillow] to wake him up.”

YK Osiris Flexes Cash At Dior Store In Toronto Following Lil Baby Debt

Much has been said about YK Osiris and his bank account in recent months. The young star loves to flex his riches on social media and he never disappoints when flashing those luxury goods his celebrity life has afforded him. Yet, we reported on Lil Baby’s lighthearted confrontation days ago when he asked Osiris about paying up on a debt that has been outstanding since earlier this year.

It seems that the Quality Control rapper was looking to tie up a few loose ends before closing out 2021, and while YK Osiris laughed off the exchange, he became a target on social media.

Soon, the public began cracking jokes at the R&B singer’s expense and even Chad Ochocinco called him out. Osiris previously bragged about spending $325K on a pair of earrings and Ochocinco tweeted that he purchased a similar pair at Claire’s for $10. Meanwhile, Osiris has done his best at smiling through the trolling and he returned once again to show that his wallet stays stacked.

YK Osiris put his finances back at center stage this week when he showed that he was once again in Toronto, this time spending his hard-earned cash at Dior. He previously uploaded a photo of the money he owed Lil Baby, so it looks as if that has been settled, but there were rumors that there might be an outstanding debt with Boosie Badazz over a TikTok challenge bet.

Check out YK Osiris’s video below.
