Keyshia Cole announced her eighth studio album while paying tribute to her late mother, Frankie Lons, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles as a part of The Love Hard Tour on Saturday night. It will be her first album in nearly seven years and the first since her mother’s passing. She broke into tears while bringing up Lons on stage.
“I’m wanna say I appreciate you. If you ever bought an album,” she said. “Album eight right now on the way. I wanna give a shout out to my mom Frankie. If you watched the reality show, if you watched her: I just wanna say thank you. You helped change my life. Thank you.” She then broke into a performance of “I’ve Changed.”
In 2022, users on social media called out Cole for documenting her tumultuous relationship with Lons in a project for Lifetime. In response to those calling the move disrespectful, she replied: “Degrading my mother. ? I wanted the best for my mom. You prefer my story not be my story? At times I have too. But my truth is my truth. I just live mine loud. (while some suffer in silence. But This will come wit all that I do, So speak YOUR TRUTH, but yours ain’t mine. [heart emoji]. And I’m addition to that I have recorded a record that will be in the movie dedicated to my mother. (You all may or may not like it) but….. This movie was healing in some ways for me, so very appreciative of having this happen.” The film, This Is My Story, ended up debuting last year.

Kodak Black had an elated reaction to hearing Glorilla’s verse on the remix to BossMan DLow’s song, “Fineese.” Listening to the song on social media, Kodak remarked: “B*tch say she could make her throat stretch! B*tch show me! How far?”
In her verse, Glorilla raps: “You hangin’ with the n****s that bucked you for your pistol, you a brewster / I can make my throat stretch (Ayy), I can make a mess (Woo) / Instead ran up a couple hundred thousand, went thirty days no sex / You know how lame it is to confront me about a n***a through a text? / You know how fast I’ll turn your favorite n***a into your favorite ex, ho?”
Kodak has expressed his affection for Glorilla on several occasions over the years. When his track, “Super Gremlin,” lost at the BET Hip Hop Awards, he complained on Twitter that Glorilla hadn’t won instead of Latto. “The Woman Empowerment Sh*t Kool,” Kodak wrote at the time. “Don’t Take Nun From Nobody But You Still Gotta Work For It! Don’t Jus Simply Give It To Somebody Kuz They A Woman !!!!! If That’s The Case Y’all Shoulda Gave Song Of The Year To Glorilla Not That Hating Ass Mutt. [‘Big Energy’] Ain’t Move Nobody! Forget About Me At This Point ! AT LEAST ‘F*ck N***a Free’ Was A Anthem ! Tf You Think SONG OF THE YEAR Mean?” He also once popped into the comments section of one of Glorilla’s live streams and remarked: “You prolly aint my girl today but that’s why I love tomorrow.”
50 Cent compared his long-time rival, Diddy, to Jeffery Epstein following the bevy of allegations against the disgraced Bad Boy mogul. 50 brought up Boosie Badazz’s recent comments on seeing a lack of support for Diddy, and in turn, alleged that Diddy has blackmail on his friends.
“Boosie said where the f### is his friends,” he wrote in the caption. “They not saying nothing because they didn’t know he was recording everything. LOL Wait till I get the tapes.” The post features an edited photo blending Diddy and Epstein’s faces together. The American financier was infamously arrested on a litany of sex trafficking changes and died in his jail cell.
As for Boosie’s comments, he wanted to know where all the people he would see at Diddy’s parties are at amid the situation. “I don’t hear none of them n***as that was toasting at Diddy’s with that champagne every year, having speeches with mane, nobody speak up for this mane or nothing,” Boosie said. “When you on top of the world, it’s a celebration. When you on the bottom, it’s a denial-ation. All of them muthaf***as all with their suits on, and their cups up. Ain’t nobody saying nothing. Boy this world, boy.”
50 Cent Calls Out Diddy With Jeffery Epstein Comparison
Check out 50’s latest attempt at trolling Diddy on social media above. He isn’t the first person to compare Diddy to Epstein either. Candace Owens previously made a similar remark. Despite the recent raids on his properties, Diddy has not been arrested and maintains his innocence. Be on the lookout for further updates on 50 Cent and Diddy on HotNewHipHop.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, Doja Cat would like you to say nothing at all. That was the theme of the singer’s message on an Instagram live video following criticism of a photo of her natural hair, which she posted as the cover art for her new single “Masc.”
Doja posted the picture of her tight blonde curls on Instagram on Friday with a clip of “Masc” and a debut date of April 5, 2024.
However, some commenters decided to be unreasonably negative, comparing her hair to popcorn, wool, and carpet, among other x-rated things, prompting the “Paint the Town Red” singer to disable comments before taking to Instagram Live to address the mean-spirited posters.
“I’m seeing a consistent pattern of people in the comments section of people saying ‘Is my hair pubic hair? Is it carpet or is it sheep’s wool?’ People comparing my hair to sheep and pubes and carpet and popcorn and sh** like that….you gotta move forward…let’s grow, let’s stop. I can’t tell you what to do, I’m not your f*cking parents, you know what I mean? I don’t want to say too much.”
Doja spent about ten seconds in silence just shaking her head before ending the video.
“Masc” is one of several singles that Doja has teased in anticipation of her upcoming release of ‘Scarlet’ Deluxe Edition. Doja is also currently set to headline at Coachella, followed by a tour in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Orlando Brown says Meek Mill and Diddy are “gay rappers.” He discussed the recent house raids on Diddy’s properties as well as the rumors stemming from Lil Rod’s lawsuit against the Bad Boy mogul during an interview with No Jumper.
“Why would they not have sex when they’re gay rappers?” Brown began, when asked about Diddy and Meek. “We all know he’s gay. Rick Ross knows he’s gay.” When asked whether he thinks Ross would knowingly sign a gay rapper, Brown reiterated: “Rick Ross knows he’s gay is what I said. He paid me $2,000 to say that right? You only paid me $2,000.” From there, Adam22 denied paying Brown to claim Meek Mill is gay. Elsewhere in the interview, Brown voiced his support for Diddy. “Everybody knows I got respect for Diddy,” Brown told the host. “I love Diddy. Everybody tried to come at Diddy. Why I’m gonna make it harder for my man? Yo, I love my man [Diddy].”
The rumors about Meek began when Lil Rod claimed Diddy bragged about sleeping with a rapper from Philadelphia who previously dated Nicki Minaj. Fans incessantly trolled him about the rumors on social media in the following days. Meek Mill asked fans to stop questioning his sexuality on Twitter shortly afterward. “Stop asking me if I’m straight I’m just gonna play it raw how the world is … I’m blessed I’m okay but I ain’t hearing nothing good looking!” he wrote at the time. As for the house raids, Homeland Security agents descended upon Diddy’s properties, last week, although no arrests were made.
Aside from today’s Easter holiday, many people all over the world have also been celebrating the release of BeyoncéCowboy Carter. The singer’s eighth album is also the second installation in a trilogy of albums she promised before the release of Renaissance. Cowboy Carter is a sprawling 27-track effort that captures Beyoncé in a full country swing, swapping 808s and uptempo dance production for the twang of a strumming banjo and a good ol’ time at the rodeo.
So far, Cowboy Carter has been met with positive reviews as it even went on to break a Spotify streaming record in the first 24 hours since its release. Throughout the album’s 27 songs, Beyoncé recruited help from names all over the industry. Some are frequent collaborators (The-Dream & Jay-Z) and others are new to working with Beyoncé (Shaboozey, Tanner Adell & Brittney Spencer). With all that being said, we dove into the album credits to see who helped Beyoncé make each of the songs on Cowboy Carter a reality. You can scroll down to check out the full list.

Ramy Youssef called for a free Palestine and the release of hostages during a politically charged monologue for his episode of Saturday Night Live, this weekend. In doing so, he recalled a conversation he had with his friend, Ahmed, who asked him to pray for his family in Gaza.
“I’m like, ‘Dude, I got you,’” Youssef said. “So that night, I go to pray, and my prayers are complicated. I’ve got a lot to fit in. I’m like, ‘God, please, please help Ahmed’s family. Please stop the suffering. Stop the violence. Please free the people of Palestine, please. And please free the hostages, all the hostages, please. And while you’re at it, you know, free Mr. Bojangles. He’s a beautiful dog. I’m praying for that dog.” He also discussed the upcoming election and admitted he “doesn’t like either option.” In turn, he hopes the next president will be a woman. “I really think our next president should be a woman,” Youssef said. “You know what I mean? Like, that would be amazing. I think our next president should be a trans woman.”
Youssef previously voiced his support for a permanent ceasefire while speaking with Variety at the Oscars red carpet, earlier this year. “We’re calling for an immediate, permanent ceasefire in Gaza. We’re calling for peace and justice – lasting justice – for the people of Palestine,” he said at the time. “And I think it’s a universal message of just: Let’s stop killing kids. Let’s not be part of more war.” Check out Youssef’s full SNL monologue below.

Police are searching for Kansas City Chiefs breakout wide receiver Rashee Rice for his suspected involvement in a major car crash in Dallas, Texas. Authorities believe a vehicle Rice has in his name was involved in the incident, although it’s unclear whether he was in the car. At 6:20 PM, local time on Saturday, a Corvette and a Lamborghini lost control while speeding on the highway causing a collision with four other vehicles.
“The drivers lost control and the Lamborghini traveled onto the shoulder and hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles,” a spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department said in a statement to PEOPLE. “The occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette all ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or providing their information.” Two drivers sustained minor injuries that were treated on the scene, while two others were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Dallas Morning News reports that the drivers of both the Lamborghini and Corvette fled the scene without assisting anyone. Later in the day, Sunday, dashcam footage of the incident surfaced on social media. Check that out on Twitter below.
