Doja Cat, more than most people in her shoes, likes to get silly and have fun. Case in point: She recently guested on The Therapy Gecko Podcast, in which a man in a gecko costume (non-therapist comedian Lyle Drescher) fields calls from viewers/listeners (the show is recorded live on Twitch). Doja went full-boar, too, putting on her own gecko costume.
In one clip from the show, Drescher asks Doja if she likes Celsius, the caffeinated energy drink brand. She explained that she “just can’t drink it” and that the beverage nearly got her into a feud. She explained, “I was singing a song and doing a voice of somebody else with the… I filmed myself doing the song in a crazy voice, and it was my really bad impression of that person. And people took it super wrong. They thought that I was trying to cause drama and issues, when really I was just being a f*cking asshole. I was being dumb.”

Elsewhere during the chat, Doja also revealed that the title of an upcoming deluxe edition of Scarlet will be titled Scarlet 2: Claude Frollo, named after the character from The Hunchback Of Notre Dame.
In a 2023 interview, Drescher explained the origin of his offbeat show, saying, “I started streaming myself on Reddit as a gecko taking phone calls, and the streams would go on to the front page of Reddit. My expectation was that I would be living here and my mom’s basement doing this forever, but it has gone much better than I thought it would.”
Jim Nantz and Tony Romo are two of the best in the business when it comes to football broadcasting, which is why they were tasked with calling Super Bowl LVIII for CBS this weekend. So, all due respect to them and everybody else involved in the CBS broadcast, but Nickelodeon’s Super Bowl coverage was so clearly the most fun way to watch the big game.
Need proof? Take a look at the celebrities who were in attendance on the Nick broadcast. Offering some shots of CGI fish characters made to look like famous folks, Nick showed off aquatic music stars like Billie Eelish, Doja Catfish, and Herring Styles in the Bikini Bottom stands, along with other celebs like LePrawn James, Clamuel L. Jackson, and Fin Diesel.
Nick had a ton of fun beyond that, too. “Sweet Victory” finally made its first appearance at the big game. On top of that, SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star were on hand to provide in-game commentary, alongside Noah Eagle and Nate Burleson. At one point during the game, the camera cut to Leonardi DiCaprio in attendance, and Tom Kenny (voicing SpongeBob as he has since 1999) had a great quip: “Leonardo DiCaprio, 25. That was about his dating history,” a perfect reference to this classic SpongeBob scene.
Last month, the music industry was rocked by startling allegations as pop star Doja Cat’s mother, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, filed for a restraining order against her own son, Raman Dlamini. The accusations, which included claims of both mental and physical abuse directed towards Sawyer and her daughter Doja, shed light on the dark underbelly of familial relationships often hidden behind the glitz and glamour of fame.
The granting of a five-year restraining order, as reported by The Blast, marks a pivotal moment in this ongoing saga. Despite being served with notice, Dlamini chose not to appear in court, leaving the judge to hear Sawyer’s testimony before making the decision to issue the restraining order. This legal action, which is set to expire in January 2029, underscores the severity of the allegations and the court’s acknowledgment of the need for protection.
In her petition, Sawyer laid bare the harrowing experiences she endured at the hands of her son. She detailed instances of physical violence, recounting how Dlamini had “choked me and threatened to hit me several times.” But the abuse didn’t stop there; Sawyer also spoke of the emotional toll, describing how her son consistently berated her with hurtful and offensive comments. These tactics, she claimed, were used to manipulate her into providing financial support beyond reason, further exacerbating the strain on her well-being and ability to fulfill her responsibilities.
The impact of Dlamini’s behavior extended beyond Sawyer herself, affecting the family dynamic and the upbringing of Sawyer’s grandson. Sawyer lamented the compromised peace within her household, expressing concern over the negative influence of Dlamini’s erratic behavior on her grandson. She revealed that there were times when her grandson didn’t want Dlamini to visit, highlighting the toxic environment created by his presence.
One particularly disturbing incident, dated November 11, 2023, was recounted by Sawyer in her petition. She described how Dlamini verbally attacked her in front of her grandson, using derogatory language and demeaning insults. The emotional trauma inflicted by such outbursts undoubtedly left a lasting scar on Sawyer and those witnessing the altercation.
Doja Cat’s sartorial switch-ups have been the subject of much attention and discussion since her 2018 breakout thanks to her mischievous instincts and adventurous choices. The 2024 Grammys have been no exception; in fact, she ramped up the surprise factor by pulling up to the red carpet in a princess dress and her skin adorned with an astonished array of new tattoos — including one across her forehead, Post Malone-style (the two collaborated on Malone’s 2022 single “I Like You“). You can see a few photos below.
Doja Cat is one of the artists looking forward to a win tonight and she’ll have a few opportunities to take home a golden gramophone. She’s nominated for three awards: Best Rap Song for “Attention,” Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Attention,” and Pop Solo Performance for “Paint The Town Red.” She’s had 19 nominations total, including Best New Artist, Record Of The Year for “Say So,” “Kiss Me More,” and “Woman,” and Album Of The Year for Planet Her. She won one award at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Kiss Me More.”
Funnily enough, Doja debuted her first tattoos at last year’s Grammys, showing them off ahead of the show and showing them off on the red carpet just weeks after trolling fans with a fake tattoo. Is her new collection of ink just as fake? I guess we’ll see at her next public appearance.
Recording artist Doja Cat’s family drama continues to unfold as her brother, Raman Dlamini, has been served with legal paperwork related to a temporary restraining order filed by their mother, Deborah Sawyer. The legal action comes after Sawyer accused Raman of horrific acts of violence, causing her to seek protection for herself and her famous daughter.
According to documents obtained by Radar Online, Raman Dalithando Dlamini, 30, was formally served with the temporary restraining order by a deputy sheriff last week after multiple failed attempts to locate him. The paperwork is intended to keep him away from their mother, who alleges both physical and verbal abuse at the hands of her son.
Deborah Sawyer’s petition for the restraining order highlights the gravity of the situation, detailing instances of alleged physical and verbal abuse perpetrated by Raman. She sought protection not only for herself but also for her daughter, Doja Cat, a renowned recording artist in the music industry.
However, the judge overseeing the case only partially granted the temporary restraining order, citing “insufficient good cause shown” to extend protection to Doja Cat herself. The judge advised that if Doja wishes to seek protection from her brother, she should file for her own temporary restraining order.
The legal documents, filed on January 25 in the Los Angeles Superior Court, confirm that Raman was successfully served with the temporary restraining order related to his mother on January 23. A deputy sheriff located Doja’s older brother at his Studio City, CA, apartment early in the morning at 7:30 AM.

In 2022, the “Through The Wire” rapper found himself in a storm of controversy following a string of insensitive remarks made toward the Jewish community. The comments continued during West’s sit-down with former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson. The public backlash grew increasingly difficult to manage when West doubled down on his stance. However, in December 2023, West seemingly had time to reflect on his statement and decided to issue an apology. But it appears West has had a change of heart.
While hanging out with fellow musician Jpegmafia, West was photographed wearing a t-shirt of alleged neo-nazi heavy metal musician Kristian Varg Vikernes. As the pair posed for the flick, captioned: “Can’t talk right now. Doing hot girl sh*t,” users flooded Jpegmafia’s comment section to call out his rumored collaborator’s wardrobe choice.
West isn’t the only rapper to face a heap of blowback due to their clothing. Last year, fans called out Doja Cat for wearing merchandise of alleged ne0-Nazi Sam Hyde. Shortly after, Doja Cat released a public apology, though many believe the statement was insincere.
As of January 21, West has not addressed the matter.
It’s been quite a while since the world was first introduced to “Tia & Tamera.” The identical twins became international sensations on the ’90s sitcom Sister, Sister, but that wasn’t the end of their entertainment run. Over the last few decades, the women have built million-dollar brands, starred in films and television shows, had their own reality TV series, released music, launched haircare products, and much more. While Tia and Tamera Mowy’s names and faces are permanently etched into pop culture history, the pair are also regular fixtures in Hip Hop lyrics.
Tamera Mowry has just tapped into a few of these Rap references. While we’re sure there are far more out there in the music ether, Tamera found six “Tia & Tamera” lyrics and references that have been staples. Some, she was already aware of, but others were brand new to her ears. Moreover, Tamera ranked the tracks after previewing them in a video she shared with her Instagram followers. Take a look at the video below, along with the songs ranked in the order chosen by Tamera Mowry.
Drill giant Chief Keef released “Picking Big Sean Up” back in 2021, but contrary to the title, the Detroit rapper didn’t make an appearance on the track. However, the Sister, Sister twins’ names surfaced when Keef rapped: “Man, these b*tches irri’ / She want a Panamera / Pull the ‘cat and track hawk out, it’s Tia & Tamera.” Unfortunately, it wasn’t Tamera’s favorite in the bunch, and she ranked Chief Keef’s song last.
5. Su’Lan — “Tia-Tamera”
As soon as this song began to play, Tamera was excited. It was obvious to the TV star that Su’Lan’s “Tia-Tamera” was a bop, but it still didn’t crack the 5th spot on this list. Created by the rap duo whose moniker is a split between the names “Su” and “Lan,” “Tia-Tamera” landed on their project of the same name. The har-hitting track paid homage to Old School Hip Hop productions, introducing the young femcees to new audiences.
It feels like we haven’t heard from Polo G in a while, so this nod from Tamera was refreshing for fans. “Distraction” arrived in 2022 on the rapper’s hit album with the same title, and on the track, Polo gets introspective. Here, he discusses his placement in the industry, being respected as an artist, and life on the streets. He raps: “Twin Glocks, Tia, Tamera, yeah, these my new b*tches / Hit they block with two switches, it make my shottas shoot different.”
3. J. Cole — “Cole Summer”
The most raunchy “Tia & Tamera” lyrics on this arrive courtesy of J. Cole. The big boss of Dreamville delivered Truly Yours 2 in 2013, and inside was “Cole Summer.” The tracks on this EP couldn’t squeeze themselves into the Born Sinner tracklist, and they’ve been held as fan favorites. In the song, Cole spices things up when he says: “If I had one wish, I would f*ck Tia and Tamera / At the same time and put name tags on they t*tties / So I don’t get they names wrong, screamin’ ‘Game on’ / Like Wayne’s World, that just came on.”
“Whole Lotta Money” was already making major waves for BIA, but the industry imploded when Nicki Minaj added her Rap legend voice to the track. The song’s viral sensation on TikTok helped rocket the song up the charts, and the collaboration is one of the most memorable of 2021. Further, the Queen rapper delivered the “Tia & Tamera” bars when she spit: “I just bent the block, all these b*tches wanna be ya / Prolly cause my waist gone, money long, Nia / Well, I ain’t talking cars, long hair, don’t KIA / In a twin seater, you Tamera? What’s Tia?“
The most recognizable Tia & Tamera track on this list appropriately landed in the top slot. In 2018, two of the most eclectic women in Rap collided in a colorful collaboration—”Tia Tamera.” Doja Cat added the fierce Rico Nasty to a single included in the Deluxe version of Amala, her debut studio album. Over the years, Tia and Tamera Mowry have repeatedly referenced this track, so it isn’t surprising that it took No. 1. The chorus rings: “Hair grow long like Chia / Money go long like Nia / I am the big idea / My twins big like Tia / My twins big like Tia, Tamera (Uh, wait) / Tia, Tamera (Uh, wait).“
