Just about three months removed from the release of his sixth studio album Michael, Killer Mike has announced the impending release of a deluxe version of Michael alongside a new single, “Maynard Vignette.”
An ode to one of his heroes, former Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson, “Maynard Vignette” features fellow A-Town rappers JID and T.I., along with singer Jacquees, as Mike reflects on the impact of Jackson’s tenure — and his own.

Jacquees is now somehow involved in a drama-fueled online battle that includes Keke Palmer, Usher, Darius Jackson, and more. There is footage of an Usher concert in which the R&B singer is serenading Keke. This would be harmless, except for what she’s wearing. She had a skintight black leotard with sheer black lace covering the rest of her, exposing her backside. The father of Keke’s recently born child, Darius Jackson, took exception to the revealing outfit, claiming on Twitter, “It’s the outfit tho… you a mom.”
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife [and] mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others,” Jackson continues. “[And] he gets told how much of a hater he is.” Keke Palmer fans rushed to her defense, with one commenter randomly throwing Jacquees into the mix. “It’s Usher like cmon now,” the Tweet reads. “I could see if it was Jacquees.”
Not fazed one bit, Jacquees responded to the comment with, “Leave me out of it.” While the handle @b0mbchell_ was giving a backhanded compliment to the Georgia R&B crooner, Jacquees was having none of this smoke. He was not about to get in trouble on the internet for absolutely nothing. From all of this backlash, Darius Jackson continues to double down on his claims, still not pleased about Keke Palmer’s outfit. News of his arrest first circulated online, after his mugshot went completely viral on Twitter. Allegedly, the “Bed” singer was arrested after police claimed he bit a female employee at a Local Tap bar near the Mall of Georgia. They say Jacquees tried to flee the scene in a Ferrari.
Police arrived on the scene, in which the victim and witnesses informed them that the real name Rodriquez Broadnax was being “loud and boisterous,” while intoxicated and fighting with security. He was arrested at 1:26 am on Friday morning and released on a $3700 bond hours later.
The charges were simple battery and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers.
Several reports have confirmed that Jacquees was arrested over the weekend in Georgia on several charges related to a domestic dispute.
Jacquees, whose real name is Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, was charged with simple battery and a misdemeanor charge of willful obstruction of police officers. He was arrested and taken to the Gwinnett County Jail this past Friday(June 23).
Jacquees’ mugshot showed swelling on the millennial singer’s face, but the cause of the swelling has not been confirmed.
His bond was set at $3,700, but he was only required to pay a total of $40 to be released. After his release, Jacquees was able to make a scheduled appearance that he had in Phoenix, Arizona.
