Bobby Shmurda Goes Crazy At 50 Cent Concert

Bobby Shmurda and 50 Cent surprisingly have a close friendship than most people might realize. When Bobby was in prison for over six years for conspiracy to murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment, he credited 50 Cent as one that was actually looking to help bail him out. Hip Hop N’ More reported this back in 2017, during an interview with Bobby saying, “The only one who really contacted us was 50. Everyone else is just talk. They do it for the people. The only one that is real is 50.”

Furthermore, in an interview with us (HNHH) Shmurda revealed that he and 50 were in talks about landing him a role on one of his TV shows and it was all positive for Bobby. “Me and 50 were on a two-hour call like two weeks ago,” Bobby said. “Some talent agents I was talking to, they help 50 with Power and STARZ and all that other s**t. So you know he wants me to act, and they want me to act, so we just talking about a couple of shit right now.”

Bobby Shmurda Should Cool It With The Rap Criticisms, Charlamagne Tha God Says

Charlamagne Tha God has expressed his disagreement with Bobby Shmurda’s criticism of rap music. He says that Shmurda should not undermine the genre because he owes his fame and recognition to it. Charlamagne discussed the topic on The Breakfast Club‘s segment, “The Rumor Report,.” He went on to kindly acknowledge Shmurda’s energy and personality. However, he pointed out that the public hasn’t been receptive to his new music since his release from prison.

Charlamagne also emphasized that the culture may not be so keen on the new attitude. While he realizes that Bobby Shmurda has avoided being a snitch and is now creating positive music, the culture doesn’t seem to appreciate or acknowledge that about him. Furthermore, he believes that rap is the reason why people know Shmurda. He highlighted that, because of this, Shmurda’s criticisms of the genre may not resonate well with the audience.

The Origin Of Bobby Shmurda’s Opinion On Rap

The conversation about Bobby Shmurda’s disdain for rap music began when he appeared on The Danza Project podcast. There, he advised children to stay away from hip-hop because he sees it as dangerous. Shmurda expressed concern that kids might take the lifestyles portrayed in rap lyrics as reality. However, he says the rappers themselves may not have even experienced those circumstances. He believes rap music should uplift people and encourage positive change. Now, however, he believes it promotes negativity. As a result of this, Bobby Shmurda shared that he no longer enjoys rap music. Apparently, he only listens to it when he’s at the club.

Shmurda went on to say that he prefers reggae now. He is so disconnected from the rap scene that he wouldn’t even notice if another rapper dissed him in a song. This isn’t the first time Bobby Shmurda has discussed his decision to distance himself from rap music and make a change. In March, he took to Instagram to share his journey towards self-improvement after being involved in criminal activities. He made it clear that he is determined to pursue a productive and successful future. He says he wants to make the best use of his time.

Bobby Shmurda Drops Anti-Snitch Freestyle, Wants Young Thug Freed

Snitching has been a hot topic in Hip Hop since its inception, but Young Thug’s case has shone a new light on the subject. Thugger and seven of his co-defendants are currently on trial, and it’s slated to be lengthy. Currently, officials are still combing through potential jurors, and it’s a process speculated to take months. Initially, over two dozen people were arrested in connection to the YSL RICO case. Gunna was the first to strike a plea deal, and soon, seven others followed.

Gunna has laid low as he’s faced critics who say he’s snitched on Thug. However, the “Pushin P” rapper denied the allegations, explaining that he took an Alford Plea in his best interest and has no plans on cooperating with the authorities. Hip Hop has weighed in, with some doing so silently. Several artists have unfollowed Gunna and denounced snitching. Others, like Bobby Shmurda, haven’t referenced Gunna at all, but the New York rapper did share a freestyle where he called out the industry’s rats.

Today (February 10), Shmudra dropped off a freestyle on Instagram, and while he didn’t mention Thugger in his bars, he did include him in the caption. It seems that Thug tried reaching out, but Shmurda wasn’t available. “I missed my n*gga @thuggerthugger1 call yesterday 😖,” Shmurda wrote. “So @4shootersonly f*ck it we dropping this today !!!! Straight from the Supreme Court screaming🗣 #freeslime 4eva 🤢🦁💚.” The performance was on the steps of the Supreme Court, and the rapper was making his voice heard.

Man, f*ck all y’all Rap n*ggas / Most of y’all some rat n*ggas / All y’all chit chat n*ggas, oh yeah,” Shmurda spits. This isn’t the first time he shared a track targeting snitches. In early January, he did the same, and even then, people quickly believed he was speaking about the Atlanta icon. However, it must be noted that Shmurda hasn’t named Gunna, but he has continued to advocate for Young Thug’s release.

Shmurda was released from prison this time last year after serving six years. His willingness to do his time and not turn on his friends has been praised in Hip Hop. Bobby Shmurda Drops Diss Track Allegedly Aimed At Gunna Titled “Rat N****s”

There’s no secret that Brooklyn drill mainstay Bobby Shmurda is a “no snitching” advocate, but it appears that the “Hot N***a” took his ideals a step further after teasing a new track that seems to be aiming at YSL’s Gunna titled “Rat N****s.”

Some say that Shmurda is aiming at Gunna, who took a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, which still leaves Young Slime Life capo and Gunna’s partner in rhyme, Young Thug, still behind bars. In the lyrics, Shmurda rapped, “Took a plea deal … left your dog in that pen … why they playback in that courtroom, keeps playing back in his head.”

Shmurda’s loyalty to his crew can never be questioned, as he added two years to his sentence in 2016 to take five years off Rowdy Rebel’s sentence.

Gunna took an Alford Plea in his RICO conspiracy case, which his lawyer Steven Shadow says does not influence the result of any of the other YSL members’ cases.

Bobby Shmurda Drops Freestyle Dissing Snitches & Some Feel That He’s Targeting Gunna

Now that Young Thug is days away from facing a court in the YSL case, Bobby Shmurda shared some words about the snitches of the world.

Bobby Shmurda, known for taking a longer sentence for Rowdy Rebel, shared a new freestyle on his Instagram page this week where he made it clear that he’s undoubtedly against snitches. Titled “Rat N***as,” Shmurda goes in on those who compromised their loyalty to others for their own benefit.

“Heard [you] snitchin’ on all of your friends/ Took a plea deal, left the streets real/ but left your dawg in that pen, n***a,” he raps on the snippet. “That pain don’t ever end/ What they play back in that courtroom gonna playback in his head, n***a.”

Though his opening bars could really be about anyone, he began focusing largely on the hip-hop community. Specifically, the supposed “street” artists who fold under pressure.

“Snitch! Man, all y’all n***as bitch,” he continues. “Man, fuck all y’all rap n***as/ Most of y’all some rat n***as/ All y’all chit chat, n***a.”

It didn’t take long for social media to speculate that Bobby Shmurda was targeting Gunna, specifically. While Thug’s trial is expected to begin next week, Gunna copped an Alford plea in December. Prosecutors might call Gunna to the stand to testify against Thug, though his lawyer already stated that his client would involve his Fifth Amendment right.

So far, eight defendants took deals and pleaded guilty, like Gunna and Unfoonk. Now, only 14 of the original 28 people indicted will go to trial as another six are either without legal representation or haven’t been arrested.

Young Thug was charged with eight out of the 65 counts in the indictment, such as conspiracy to violate the RICO act and participation in a street criminal gang.

Bobby Shmurda Reacts To Being Mentioned In Uncle Murda’s “Rap Up 2022”

2022 came to a close rather quickly. We’re already four days into 2023 and are patiently awaiting some highly-anticipated music releases this year.

However, 2022 didn’t end without a bombshell from Uncle Murda. Sticking to tradition, the New York rapper dropped off his annual “Rap Up” song on New Year’s Eve.

Sprawling across the track’s 15-minute runtime, the 42-year-old doesn’t hold back when addressing the various events that transpired over the course of the past 12 months in both hip-hop and pop culture.

One of the many artists he mentions is Bobby Shmurda. Namely, he addresses the beef between the “Hot N*gga” rapper and NBA YoungBoy earlier last year.

“NBA Youngboy had Rich The Kid shook / Over a little picture with Lil Durk that he took / Hope he know Bobby Shmurda and Rich The Kid different / Bobby will really boom you, n*gga, watch who you mention,” he raps within the first verse.

The Past Beef

It all began in November when Rowdy Rebel decided to speak out against the tragic murder of King Von. Specifically, he shares his thoughts on Lul Tum, the alleged killer and affiliate of both Quando Rondo and YoungBoy. “When King Von died, that Lul Tim n*gga, he didn’t have to get out of the car and start squeezing right away. You already got yours drawn,” says the “Computers” rapper.

“His mind off the rip went to kill. How you went to kill? How much hate you have already to kill this man?” he questions afterwards.

The Baton Rouge native subsequently replied in an Instagram Story. “I see why n*ggas irrelevant today “Be trying to make all the sense thinking what they saying real but sounding stupid asf[.]” Just mind yo businesses And stop the violence,” he says, before signing off as “Quando[‘s] big brother.”

The “Hot N*gga” rapper later shared his own two cents, seemingly dissing YoungBoy and Rondo in the process.

“Stop telling me about your brother’s shooters and your brother’s this – what the f*ck do you do? Huh? When are you finally gonna do something?” he questions.

Shmurda’s Reaction

Regardless of the past beef, Shmurda has since shared his thoughts on being mentioned in Murda’s year-end song. Evidently, he finds it humorous and simultaneously insists he’s a changed man. In an Instagram Live video, he reacts to hearing Murda dropping his name in the track for the first time. “Murda, I’m a changed man. I’m a changed man. I’m different, man. I’m tryna change, Murda. I ain’t tryna boom nobody no more,’ he pleads during the video.
