When XXXTENTACION was killed, not only did he leave behind millions of fans to mourn, but the young star also said an untimely goodbye to his son. Gekyume Onfroy is now five years old, and though we don’t see much of him in the public eye, updates do surface every now and then to show us how X’s son is learning and growing without his father physically by his side. Sadly, the latest one is going viral thanks to a tactless reaction from one of the “Jocelyn Flores” artist’s killers.

The initial footage of young Onfroy is heartwarming, showing him leading another man through his house to show off photos of XXXTENTACION. “That’s my dad!” he excitedly says while showing off a framed image of the Florida native performing. “Do you wanna see another picture of my dad?” X’s song happily asks, leading the way toward another happy memory. “Have you showed me these before?” a voice behind the camera asks, suggesting Onfroy has a lot of pride in his father, even though they didn’t get to spend much time together.

YMT Boatwright Appears to Laugh at XXXTENTACION’s Son’s Pain

When YMT Boatwright, one of the men responsible for taking X’s life, got hold of the video, he couldn’t resist reposting it on Instagram. Rather than feeling remorseful for his actions, it seems like the “😂😂” emojis he wrote alongside the video suggest he feels very proud to have left the young boy without a father.

XXXTENTACION’s 2018 death feels like it happened only yesterday. Even all this time later, new information regarding the tragedy continues to come out, such as this month’s autopsy report reveal. Even though it’s been years since XXXTENTACION passed away his influence is still being felt in hip hop. Additionally, members of his family continue to pop up in notable places. That was the case when his son made his modeling debut in the new line of clothing from X’s Revenge brand. Just a few weeks later he made headlines for an adorable attempt of the viral One Swear Word challenge where he refused to say anything bad.

Now in a new picture X’s brother is still brushing shoulders with some of the biggest names in hip hop. He crossed paths with former Migos rapper Offset. Once fans processed the pair running into each other they couldn’t help but make note of how surprisingly similar they look. “Why does X’s little brother look more like Offset than Offset?” one of the most liked replies to the picture reads. “He look like he could be offset son lol” another comment agrees. Kid Cudi’s new album INSANO has plenty of notable collaborations across its creative tracklist, but fans were particularly excited for one. However, when they tuned into the track “X & CUD,” they found that the XXXTENTACION “feature” was just a sample of his 2017 song “Orlando,” which is off his album 17. Some fans expressed strong disappointment in this, appreciating the gesture but feeling cheated and exploited with how the collaboration was announced. On the other hand, some listeners referred to the late Florida rapper’s producer John Cunningham, who indicated via Twitter on Monday (January 8) that this would a sample of a previously released track and not a brand-new feature.

Furthermore, a lot of fans think people overreacted, bu understandably so, given the vague nature of these announcements. After all, XXXTENTACION’s work has been exploited far too much already for morbid profit, which is why many fans are so hesitant to celebrate new music to the fullest. XXXTENTACION Murder Accomplice Who Pled Guilty Might Be Free Soon

Robert Allen, one of the men complicit in the murder of XXXTENTACION, might become a free man very soon. Moreover, recent developments in court seem to be leading up to his prompt release given a few different factors in his specific case. Most of these revolve around the fact that Allen testified against his other codefendants, three men who received more harsh jail time. For this testimony, the court sentenced him to seven years in prison, but eventually brought it down a peg. The judge in this case reduced his time to 64 months, a little over five years, but that’s not all that worked in Allen’s favor.

Furthermore, one of these was that, as Robert Allen waited and waited for the trial to actually get underway following their arrest around June 2018, he was actually building credit for his eventual prison sentence. Judge Michael Usan basically accredited him 1,911 days of service, which is almost his full sentence, in October of this year. This means that one of the people who helped murder XXXTENTACION might be free come December, as there’s very little time left for Allen to serve. The others who faced trial alongside and then against him were Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome.

News Coverage Of XXXTENTACION Murderers’ Conviction: Watch

Back in August of 2022, Robert Allen pled guilty to second-degree murder charges in the XXXTENTACION case. Then, he testified against his colleagues, identifying Boatwright and Newsome as the two men with masks on in surveillance footage of the murder and Boatwright in particular as the shooter. Allen claimed Williams was the getaway driver and that they split the $50K found in X’s Louis Vuitton bag that they stole. Allen received $5K, whereas the other perpetrators- who years later received life sentences on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges– got $15K.

By comparison, Robert Allen not only got a then-reduced seven-year sentence and credit for time served, but also faces 20 years of probation. Judge Usan expressed belief in his genuine remorse for the murder, which seems to have gone a long way. He also ordered the removal of his address from documents regarding his probation, so it’s clear he’s looking out for his safety a bit here. YNW Melly Jury Selection Begins This Week, XXXTENTACION Prosecutor Added To Trial

Most of the rappers we keep up with in their 20s are living young, wild, and free, performing at music festivals, attending lavish parties, and shopping at designer stores. YNW Melly, on the other hand, has spent the entirety of his 20s behind bars. Unfortunately even after a mistrial was declared in his double murder trial this past summer. Jury selection for his next fight for freedom is due to begin in Broward County on Wednesday (October 18). There’s been a notable change on the prosecution’s side of things that could seriously shake the retrial up.

As The Fader reports, Assistant State Attorney Kristine Bradley is being replaced by a familiar face who played a big part in the XXXTENTACION’s murder trial. Prosecutor Alixandra Buckelew will be up against Melly in the courtroom later this year. Broward Circuit Court Judge John Murphy made the call to recuse Bradley last week. The latter decision came after the “Murder on My Mind” hitmaker’s defense team filed a motion requesting the county’s entire State Attorney’s Office be removed from the case.

YNW Melly’s First Prosecutor Replaced by Alixandra Buckelew

Last week, Assistant State Attorney Michelle Boutros testified that Detective Mark Moretti (lead investigator on the Melly case) insisted a local deputy “lie about being present when the search warrant” on the accused killer’s mother’s phone went down. According to the prosecution, these comments weren’t serious, but still, the defense had valid reasons to raise their concerns. Buckelew made an attempt to delay the trial’s start date. However, thanks to speedy trial rights, Melly will be back in court in the coming days.

As we previously reported, YNW Bortlen’s jury description maps being discovered by authorities means that the next batch of people selected to decide his and YNW Melly’s fate could potentially remain anonymous. Trippie Redd is balling for his birthday. The rapper is celebrating the age of 24 and got a new chain for the occasion. Keeping it as lit as possible, Trippie had the chain delivered to his yacht by a jet ski.

According to TMZ HipHop, the chain was created by celebrity jeweler Alex Moss. The brainstorming between Moss and Redd led to a layered spiked heart, which is really three separate chains in one. The pendant is 14k white gold and VVS diamonds and also has amethyst.

Trippie Redd is celebrating a diamond record. His feature on XXXTENTACION’s “Fuck Love” has officially certified Diamond as of June 18. In celebration of the moment, Trippie Redd penned a message on Twitter.

“Fuck love certified diamond rip @xxxtentacion love u baby boy I will never ever forget u or this day we had a great experience together and no one will ever be able to take that away from us long live the greatest of all time and I’m here for u holding this sh!t down as we speak ! Fuck the world bad vibes 5 life members only real memberrrrrr”

He added, “LONG LIVE JAH HAPPY IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT RN I COULD CRY!”

On the fifth anniversary of his death, the XXXTENTACION estate releases a new single by the rapper. The new release is called “I’m Not Human.”

The single features vocals from Lil Uzi Vert and production credits from collaborator John Cunningham, who penned details about the single.

“When I was living with Jah in Florida in 2018 we would spend most days in his room, me playing guitar and him singing,” Cunningham wrote. “The day he first sang ‘I’m not human’ as I was playing that guitar part we both looked at each other and cracked a smile, knowing it was special. We listened back to the voice memo he recorded and talked about finishing it.”
