XXXTENTACION Murder Accomplice Who Pled Guilty Might Be Free Soon

Robert Allen, one of the men complicit in the murder of XXXTENTACION, might become a free man very soon. Moreover, recent developments in court seem to be leading up to his prompt release given a few different factors in his specific case. Most of these revolve around the fact that Allen testified against his other codefendants, three men who received more harsh jail time. For this testimony, the court sentenced him to seven years in prison, but eventually brought it down a peg. The judge in this case reduced his time to 64 months, a little over five years, but that’s not all that worked in Allen’s favor.

Furthermore, one of these was that, as Robert Allen waited and waited for the trial to actually get underway following their arrest around June 2018, he was actually building credit for his eventual prison sentence. Judge Michael Usan basically accredited him 1,911 days of service, which is almost his full sentence, in October of this year. This means that one of the people who helped murder XXXTENTACION might be free come December, as there’s very little time left for Allen to serve. The others who faced trial alongside and then against him were Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome.

News Coverage Of XXXTENTACION Murderers’ Conviction: Watch

Back in August of 2022, Robert Allen pled guilty to second-degree murder charges in the XXXTENTACION case. Then, he testified against his colleagues, identifying Boatwright and Newsome as the two men with masks on in surveillance footage of the murder and Boatwright in particular as the shooter. Allen claimed Williams was the getaway driver and that they split the $50K found in X’s Louis Vuitton bag that they stole. Allen received $5K, whereas the other perpetrators- who years later received life sentences on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges– got $15K.

By comparison, Robert Allen not only got a then-reduced seven-year sentence and credit for time served, but also faces 20 years of probation. Judge Usan expressed belief in his genuine remorse for the murder, which seems to have gone a long way. He also ordered the removal of his address from documents regarding his probation, so it’s clear he’s looking out for his safety a bit here. YNW Melly Trial: Man Who Cooperated In XXXTENTACION Trial To Testify

YNW Melly’s trial will return to court in the near future as prosecutors hope to secure a conviction. The judge declared a mistrial after the jury was deadlocked. Still, the prosecutors have expressed confidence in the outcome during the retrial. Last week, reports emerged that YNW Melly and his co-defendant, YNW Bortlen, were hit with witness tampering charges. But that’s not all. Apparently, they’ve found a new witness to take the stand. Reports reveal that one individual who was recently convicted for his involvement in the XXXTENTACION murder will testify.

According to newly surfaced documents posted to Akademiks’ Instagram page, Robert Allen will be taking the witness stand during YNW Melly’s trial. Allen, who previously testified against his co-defendants in the XXXTENTACION trial, will reportedly testify again. Although it’s unclear what connection Allen has to the case, he’s currently locked up at the same facility as YNW Melly. The two are currently incarcerated at Broward County Jail. Allen was sentenced to 7 years in prison with credit for 5 years already served as he awaited trial.

We will see what ends up transpiring during the case. There have already been a few delays ahead of the retrial. Per NBC Miami, the judge pushed back the jury selection process by a week after Melly’s attorneys accused South Florida prosecutors of committing felony obstruction of justice. His defense team alleged that prosecutors failed to disclose that the lead detective previously admitted that he’d be willing to lie during the investigation and while gathering evidence.

Melly’s attorneys asked the judge to remove the Broward County Attorney’s Office and possibly dismiss the case. The request came after Broward Office’s Assistant State Attorney Michelle Boutros testified that she overheard Miramar Police Detective Mark Moretti ask a deputy to lie after executing a search warrant outside of his jurisdiction. It seems as though Melly’s attorneys are hoping for a better outcome during the retrial. We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates surrounding YNW Melly’s case. Robert Allen To Serve Two More Years For XXXTentacion’s Murder

Robert Allen, one of the defendants charged in relation to musician XXXTentacion’s 2018 murder, was sentenced to seven years in prison today. He’s already served five years, meaning he’ll only serve an additional two years. Allen was also sentenced to 20 years of probation after his release. In April, the other three defendants were sentenced by the same judge, each receiving two life sentences. Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome were all found guilty of first-degree murder and robbery with a deadly weapon the previous month. Claiming that the court had made several mistakes throughout the trial, Newsome also went on to seek a new trial in April. Allen pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed robbery in August of 2022. He also agreed to a deal to testify against his co-defendants, lightening his own sentence.

Broward Circuit Judge Michael A. Usan said in court, “No sentencing is easy, and this one is hard.” He also told Allen, “I genuinely believe you are sorry for what you have done and not sorry for yourself.” XXXTentacion’s family attended the trial. The late artist’s aunt, Deandra Ellis, spoke on behalf of their family at the hearing. She claimed that the family is happy with the outcome of the trial. “I say we are content as far as what the judge threw out for the sentencing,” she shared. “We still have a long road ahead of us. It’s still a day by day process for us. Everyday is just another day that he’s missing.”

Allen Is Sentenced To Seven Years

Prior to Allen’s sentencing, Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives and a Multi-Agency Gang Task Force member were also called to the stand by the prosecutor, Pascale Achille. They testified that Allen would be in danger based on his decision to testify against his co-defendants. Boatwright, Williams, and Allen were all affiliated with South Florida’s ZMF gang.

After Allen’s three co-defendants were sentenced, the mother of XXXTentacion’s child, Jenesis Sanchez, took to Instagram to share a message. “After 5 long years you may finally Rest In Peace,” she wrote. She continued, “Gekyume will never get to meet you earthside but it is my job as a mother to ensure I share those special memories with him.” Sanchez went on, saying, “Jah was robbed of his life and Geky was robbed of his father.” She also shares, “For this, I will never truly have complete peace but justice being served today helps the healing process.” Sanchez concludes with, “Thank you for the love and support. I am eternally grateful for all of the supporters, your positivity, and prayers have carried these last 5 years.”

XXXTentacion Case: Woman Who Rented Killer’s Car Says Defendant Apologized To Her

After nearly five years of waiting, three defendants are on trial for the murder of XXXTentacion. The rapper was killed in July 2018 while trying to leave a motorbike shop in Florida before four people accosted and robbed him. He was sitting in his vehicle when another car blocked his exit. The group jumped out and immediately attacked the rapper, and the botched robbery turned deadly.

One defendant, Robert Allen, has already agreed to a plea of second-degree murder. He turned state’s witness and has testified against his former friends. Additionally, a woman named Tony Robinson was also called to testify. She told the court she was responsible for renting the vehicle used in the murder.

“I received a call from Chucky,” Robinson stated, “saying that Big Rob (Allen) wanted to rent a car but because Chucky, Dedrick Williams, wasn’t going to be present, I asked him to have Big Rob call me directly.” Following XXXTentacion’s murder, three of the four men crashed the vehicle. Elsewhere during Robinson’s testimony, she said Williams apologized to her for getting her “caught up” in the case.

Another issue in this case has been the alleged involvement of several celebrities. Drake’s name has been mentioned repeatedly, as there have been rumors about him setting up XXXTentacion’s murder. It sounds far-fetched, and Robert Allen testified that he doesn’t know Drizzy at all. In fact, he said he didn’t even know anyone from Toronto and never spoke with Drake in his life. He was also asked about being connected to DJ Akademiks or Ski Mask The Slump God, but he denied knowing them as well.

Meanwhile, Drake came close to appearing in court after being deposed. However, his attorney jumped into high gear, and fortunately for the rapper, the motion was tossed out. According to reports, defense attorneys have struggled to combat Allen’s testimony about the crime. They’ve attempted to discredit him and even entered the Drake theory, but the case against the three remaining defendants is stacked high.

XXXTENTACION Case: State Witness Denies Connection To Drake, Akademiks Or Ski Mask The Slump God

The attorneys for XXXTENTACION’s murder suspects are working hard to plant seeds of doubt into the minds of the jury. It’s been nearly five years since the rapper was killed during a robbery that left the hip-hop community rattled. However, the trial began this month. The defense made numerous attempts to convey the possibility that Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Dedrick Williams did not commit the fatal robbery.

Part of the strategy is to pin the blame on other well-known rappers who’ve beefed with XXXTENTACION in the past. Drake, for instance, was brought up during the pre-trial when prosecutors and defense submitted their list of potential witnesses. Though there’s no evidence proving Drake’s involvement, the defense for Williams has brought up numerous internet conspiracy theories. However, the state’s witness confirmed that the Canadian rapper has nothing to do with the shooting, whether directly or indirectly.

Robert Allen Takes Stand In Trial Of XXXTENTACION Murder Suspects

Robert Allen, who copped a plea deal last year, testified and addressed rumors of Drake’s involvement. During his testimony, the prosecutors asked if he “even knows Drake,” to which he replied, “Not personally, no.” He also denied having any connection to Drake, knowing anyone from Toronto, or receiving payment to carry out a hit on XXXTENTACION. The prosecution then asked if he had a relationship with DJ Akademiks or Ski Mask The Slump God, which he also denied.

Unfortunately for Drake, he remains tied to the case after a judge allowed a motion to serve him a deposition subpoena. Following numerous attempts, the defense attorney for Williams finally got the green light to depose Drizzy. The rapper’s attorney responded in a motion filed over the weekend where he stated the papers weren’t properly served. Then, he appeared before the judge to quash the deposition subpoena. He said there were missing pages in the papers that provided insufficient evidence attaching Drake to the murder of XXXTENTACION. “… Mr. Graham has nothing to do with this case, Mr. Graham is not listed in any report,” he told the judge. However, the judge said they would have to work with the defense to work out a deposition time. We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates on the trial.

XXXTENTACION Murder Trial: Codefendant Mocked Robert Allen For Taking Plea

In the latest development of XXXTENTACION’s murder trial, a codefendant recently mocked former codefendant Robert Allen for taking a plea deal. Moreover, Allen is now a state’s witness, and he gave his testimony in court on Wednesday (February 8). During his remarks, he gave details as to what happened before the armed and eventually fatal robbery. However, a deputy in charge of transporting Allen recalled that codefendant Trayvon Newsome mocked Allen for his decision. While the deputy walked past the holding cell with Allen, Newsome shouted “There he is working with the police! You’re working with the white man now!”

Furthermore, Newsome stands charged along with Michael Boatwright and Dedrick Williams with first-degree murder and armed robbery. If convicted, the three will likely serve life in prison. During Robert Allen’s testimony, he said that Boatwright fired the gun that fatally struck X. Also, he denied that anyone hired him to commit the robbery, and that him, Boatwright, and Newsome were hesitant. However, according to Allen, Williams mocked the now codefendants into attacking XXXTENTACION, which the mocking of Allen’s plea deal echoed.

Also, jurors recently saw the full graphic video of the late rapper’s death. While videos of it surfaced online shortly after he passed, many demanded posters to delete them out of respect. Meanwhile, Allen also acknowledged a few other elements of his story. “I couldn’t see or hear what XXX was saying,” he claimed, as he did not want to exit the vehicle. Moreover, their Dodge SUV blocked X’s car as the robbery occurred. “I knew there was a good chance I would get caught. I did not want to get arrested.”

Another witness to the murder was the late Jahseh Onfroy’s uncle, Leonard Kerr. “We get in the car to drive out. At the exit, when we pull out, we stop,” Kerr recounted. “[XXXTENTACION] looked to the left. I looked to the right. By the time [XXXTENTACION] looked to the left, I see a car coming down the block and blocked the entrance. After the car pulled by the entrance, two persons jump out the side doors. One come on Jahseh side, one come on the side that I’m on. The taller one do like this, ‘You don’t come out of the f***ing car.’ The other one was at Jahseh’s side…He was saying, ‘Give me the chain. Where’s the chain?’” After composing himself, Kerr continued to say he ran and, upon returning to the murder scene, called X’s mother. Come back to HNHH for the latest updates on this story.
