Killer Mike Reveals Why He & His Wife Were Secretly Married For Years

Killer Mike recently recalled admitting to his wife Shana’s family that the two were secretly married for years. While appearing on the Off Menu podcast with hosts Ed Gamble and James Acaster, Mike explained how the marriage came to be and why they chose to keep it private.

“Within the first two weeks (of dating) I asked her to marry me and she was like, ‘Get the f*ck out of here. You’re a rapper.’ So, after about four or five years, we got really high in Vegas, and really drunk, and I pled my love to her, and we got married in a f*cking drive-through marriage thing with our cab driver as our witness, and then we didn’t tell anybody we were married for nine years,” Mike told Ed and James. “We’ve been married seventeen years now. So, for nine years no one knew, and then we finally had to tell her family – because her family is from Hilton Head Island (in South Carolina) and they’re very traditional… a tight-knit Black family, similar to mine.”

Afterward, he explained he needed Shana’s family’s blessing to build a property and the truth had to come out. “We were talking about building on some land here, we’d like to put a house here, and they were like, ‘Nah, you’re just f*ckingon our niece. What are you gonna do to take it seriously?’” he further recalled. “I was like, ‘Well, we’re already married.’” Luckily for them, the family wasn’t too upset. “No one really likes going to weddings,” Mike joked before adding: “The food is usually sh*tty.” Check out Mike’s full comments below.

Remember when Kai Cenat blasted “Cha Cha Cha” by GloRilla and Fivio Foreign on live stream? Apparently that was all a ruse! The Memphis rapper recently cleared the air surrounding that viral moment a few months ago in a new interview with Shannon Sharpe. It was conducted on the former NFL star’s hit podcast Club Shay Shay. The chat was a good get for the sports analyst, as GloRilla has a lot of exciting things happening in her career at the moment. But diving back into the Kai Cenat blocking situation, she explained the true intent behind it, according to AllHipHop.

When GloRilla spoke about it being all for show, she was not letting anyone’s imaginations run wild while giving her response. She really seems to be telling the honest truth. “That was a whole joke. That wasn’t serious,” she said. “People don’t understand I play too much, and I don’t understand that people don’t know me and don’t know I play too much.”

“I don’t feel like I owe it to people to show how much me and bro love each other,” he explained. “We went through something. We don’t have to show you smiles on faces … so stop doing that. We aint on no sucker sh*t with each other. We both came in this sh*t together and we both knew that, we understood that, and we lost our brother. I still go through sh*t; I know bro go through sh*t, N****s love each other though at the end of the day. We men, we real brothers, and we cool with it, so be cool with it. Offset previously referenced being on good terms with Quavo during an interview on The Breakfast Club in October. “That’s my brother at the end of the day,” he said at the time. “We good though, bro, we just linked up in Paris.” Following the death of Takeoff, Offset and Quavo reunited for an emotional performance at the BET Awards. “That was healing for the world and us,” he said after the show. With that said, it still weighs on him because Travis Kelce eventually had to find a new home.

The reason for Travis moving into a new home back in October was recently revealed by his sibling who is considering retirement. Instead of hosting, Jason was a guest on Shaquille O’Neal’s show The Big Podcast. According to TMZ, the Philadelphia Eagles center did share how beneficial this has been for himself and his family, and of course, Travis. Sherman, a former NFL cornerback, is a part of the new panel on FS1’s Undisputed and recently began hosting a podcast. The latter is the platform that these two got to talking about the For All The Dogs creator. According to HipHopDX, Sherman first praised Wayne for his keen eye for talent. The living legend said he gets him the boss. “I get that from my upbringing, from being around Birdman.”

Cam’ron and Mase took the time to show love to Jermaine Dupri during the iconic rapper and music executive’s appearance on It Is What It Is. Cam’ron began by recalling his contributions to his debut album, 1998’s Confessions of Fire. Mase, on the other hand, thanked him for helping him secure his first million dollars.

“[H]e’s on my first album with two different cuts, actually did a hook for me,” Cam’ron said. “When I was young, I was real arrogant because my man Mase just sold four million records, and I’m thinking I’m supposed to sell four million records. And I don’t think I ever gave J.D. his flowers for even doing what he did for me. It meant a lot to me that you did that for me, because you invited me to your house and you didn’t have to do that. So I just want to tell you thank you in front of everybody, because I probably never even did it privately, let alone publicly.”

Katt Williams recently reflected on his 2014 arrest with Suge Knight during an interview with Willie D for his podcast, earlier this week. Williams faced robbery charges at the time for allegedly stealing the camera of an independent photographer in Beverly Hills. Williams says that wasn’t the whole story.

“I’ll tell you the story, and then, you tell me if that changes how you frame this,” he said. “So, we have a meeting with a hologram company which is going to into a licensing deal on some holograms. This is in Beverly Hills. So now, there’s Rodeo [Drive]. And behind that, there’s an alleyway where you park your vehicles. Suge has brought his son with him, who is 5 years old at the time. And before we go into this meeting, Suge’s son runs behind the dumpster and urinates. And a lady films his penis out peeing behind the dumpster.”
