Gunna, Future, And Young Thug Showcase The Best Of Atlanta With The Confident ‘Pushin P’
It’s been almost two years since Gunna dropped an album for the world to enjoy. That would be his 2020 release Wunna, which showed great growth in the Atlanta rapper’s career and became one of the more beloved rap projects of that year. So what’s next for Gunna? That would be the final installation in his trademark Drip Season mixtape series. The rapper released DS4EVER today and it comes with a healthy cast of guest acts, some of which fans expected and others they did not. An example of the former comes early on the album with “Pushin P” featuring Young Thug and Future.
The track is one Gunna used to promote DS4EVER and announce its release date. “Pushin P” is a braggadocios anthem that captures the three Atlanta-based rap stars in confident spirits thanks to their success in rap, their wealth, and their large collection of lavish items. Prior to the song’s release, Gunna somewhat explained the meaning behind “Pushin P.” “P don’t just mean Playa, P also mean paper too,” he said. “You could be pushing this P with paper too.”
In total, DS4EVER presents 20 tracks and additional features from 21 Savage, Drake, G Herbo, Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Yung Bleu, Chloe Bailey, Nechie, Chris Brown, and Roddy Ricch.
You can listen to “Pushing P” in the video above.

Gunna’s ‘Drip Season 4’ Tracklist includes Tracks With Chloe Bailey, Drake, And More
The rollout for Gunna’s new mixtape, Drip Season 4, appears to be going smoothly. Just days after he announced the tape’s imminent release date — this Friday, January 7 — he revealed the elaborate cover art. Now, he’s also revealed the tracklist, which not only includes the previously released single “Too Easy” featuring Future and the remix with Roddy Ricch but also contains the collaborative track with Chloe Bailey he teased while refuting the dating rumors that circulated after he and the pop star were spotted at a basketball game together.

In addition to the above-mentioned tracks, there will also be guest appearances from a number of longtime collaborators and friends such as 21 Savage, Drake, G Herbo, Lil Baby, and Young Thug, as well as new collaborators Kodak Black and Yung Bleu. Clocking in at 20 tracks, the tape follows the contemporary trend of longer releases to generate more impressive streaming numbers.
Drip Season 4 will be Gunna’s first solo release since 2020’s Wunna, although he was extensively featured on the YSL Records compilation Slime Language 2 alongside the rest of Young Thug’s label signees. Ahead of the project’s release, the Atlanta native called it the final Drip Season tape.
Drip Season 4 is due 1/7 via 300 and Atlantic. You can pre-save it here.
Young Thug Kicked Off The New Year By Helping A Man Jump-Start His Car
Young Thug has wasted no time doing good deeds in the new year. The Atlanta rapper was driving around when he noticed a man on a side street dealing with truck problems. Thug came to the rescue. “Just gave this man a jump-start,” Thug said in an Instagram video he posted afterward. “I don’t know why God made him pull me over, but he saw my truck and was like ‘yo, yo, yo’ flagged me down. I gave him a jump-start.”
It joins a string of kind acts that Thug has performed in recent months. Last year, he and fellow Atlanta rapper Gunna helped to pay bail for 30 inmates in their hometown’s Fulton County Jail. “We just woke up and went to the jail with the lawyer and DA’s and the prosecutors, the bonding companies, and just got as many people as we can out,” Thug said at the time. Gunna added, “You never know what somebody been through. There was people sitting out three or four years and couldn’t get out on a bond.”
Thug is also working on constructing Slime City, a 100-acre area of land that he was gifted for his birthday last year, which he hopes to fill with high-quality homes, a waterpark, a camping site, a bike trail, and more.

Young Thug Proclaims That He’s ‘Never Written A Lyric’ In His Career
Young Thug is by far one of hip-hop’s most unique artists and he’s been that way since his mainstream emergence nearly a decade ago. More recently, an example of this can be found through his chart-topping second album Punk, which at times pushed the wide boundaries of his own artistry. All in all, it served as another example of what makes the Atlanta rapper stand out, and during a recent interview with i-D, Thug made a declaration that further speaks to his uniqueness.
During the sit-down with i-D, Thug revealed that he doesn’t write down his lyrics when creating songs. “I’ve never written a lyric. Ever,” he said. “I really haven’t. I kind of just freestyle. I just go with it as it comes. I never really wrote anything down. I’m not patient enough to sit and write. It just takes a lot of my day.” However, just like most rules, Thug has an exception for this.
“Only time I’ve had the time to write lyrics down is when I’ve been incarcerated,” Thug said. “Even if I just have to go to jail for a day or something. I don’t like writing and that’s the only way I can write; if I just got time on my hands and there’s nothing in the world I could do.”

Young Thug, Lil Yachty, And More Will Trek Through Nature In The Upcoming HBO Show ‘Chillin Island’
There’s a lot of fun to be had when you get people out of their comfort zones for in-depth interviews — just check out Hot Ones, where Sean Evans’ invincible tongue allows him to get meme-worthy responses out of guests as they attempt to down the spiciest wings while answering even spicier questions (sorry, it’s such a good tagline). A new show coming out next week will attempt to do something similar. Chillin Island, which will air on HBO on December 17, will see rappers and other musicians leaving behind the hustle and bustle of their urban origins for the peace and quiet of nature.
Of course, the other key to getting good responses is making folks feel comfortable while they’re way out of their comfort zones, so to that end, Chillin Island is pairing these rappers with members of their own fraternity: New York rappers Despot, Lakutis, and former Das Racist member Dap (aka Dapwell). They’ll trek to deserts, swamps, and other havens to commune with nature and get in touch with human nature.
Their guests will include a truly fascinating array of artists including Coi Leray, Gunna, Killer Mike, Lil Tecca, Lil Yachty, Rosalía, Ski Mask the Slump God, Young Thug, and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koening.
You can watch Chillin Island on HBO on 12/17 at 10:30 pm and stream on HBO Max. Check out the trailer above.
