Key Glock Has Fans Screaming “Let’s Go” After Adding Young Dolph To Remix

Even when myself didn’t see the s***, he seen it and put it in me.” That was Key Glock with Billboard just a few months after the tragic passing of his cousin and mentor, Young Dolph. It has been nearly three years since we lost a pioneer of Southern hip-hop, but his student has been doing more than a fine job propelling the sound forward.

One of the ways he has been able to do that is through his viral banger “Let’s Go.” A part of his Glockoma 2 (Deluxe) tape, it’s catchiness and dark tone made it an almost instant hit. Since its release last June, the song has raked in over 71 million streams on Spotify, has received a kick-a** music video, and a dance rework with Alok. A great track on its own, Glock wanted to bring another version out, with this Young Dolph remix being the most special of them all.

[WATCH] Key Glock Felony Arrest In Atlanta Caught On Livestream

Last week, BX drill rapper Key Glock was arrested on felony charges in Atlanta and the Glockoma rapper managed to capture the entire ordeal on live video.

On March 28, Key Glock, whose real name is Markeyvius Cathey, showed a live video of himself being arrested and placed in the back of a Atlanta Police squad car. The arresting officer informed Cathey that he would be only ticketed for marijuana possession, but that was only the beginning of his problems.

“Just ‘cause of the smell of weed,” the cop said. “There was a little bit of weed in the car in the little bag from wings. But that’s just a ticket. Just a little like 3.5 [grams].”

Guns were found in the vehicle, which led to an investigation, uncovering two open warrants for the Paper Route Empire rapper. Glock was was subsequently booked on two felony charges for the open warrants.

The traffic stop was originally initiated for a tinted window violation.

“Cathey was arrested on March 28th during a traffic stop at the location of 1960 Piedmont Rd NE regarding an out of jurisdiction arrest warrant and possession of marijuana,” a statement issued by the Atlanta Police read. “The report detailing the arrest is still in the process of completion at this time.”

Key Glock is one of the top-flight Memphis rap talents right now. One thing about him is that you are going to get consistency at the highest level. He might be a top-five trap rap artist right now, and certainly from his hometown. Every album of his is filled to the brim with bangers, especially his most recent effort. In 2023, Mr. Glock put out Glockoma 2, a sequel to his 2018 project. Surprisingly though, the deluxe version gave us its biggest hit. With “Let’s Go” being such a huge success, Key Glock has recruited Alok for a remix to turn house parties into ragers.

Alok is one of the most popular DJs in the world, with the Brazilian raking in over 30 million monthly listeners. He specializes in dance/EDM music and has been in the business since 2018. Glock has really been marketing “Let’s Go” very well, especially with its John Wick-inspired music video. With his connections and love for the track, it only made sense to bring a new version to fruition.

What is good about this “Let’s Go (Alok Remix)” is that it keeps a similarly dark tone like the original does. It is not overproduced, or drowning is wub bass either. But it does its job and pretty effectively in our opinion.

Quavo, Key Glock & Jim Jones Came To Impress At Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week has, as expected, been a pretty eventful opportunity for hip-hop greats to link up and dress to impress. Moreover, we’ve seen a lot of clips as of late as to how the rap-verse is spending this stylish time, including a video of two incredible artists, Solange and Yasiin Bey (FKA Mos Def), chopping it up. In addition, we also saw a couple of clips over the weekend of Quavo, Jim Jones, and Key Glock having fun during the occasion, and so many more that popped up as cameos. Most importantly, it’s always heartening to see these artists show love to each other, be it for their drip or anything else.

For example, Key Glock had himself an amazing time at Paris Fashion Week, turning up the crowd at what seems like an afterparty with his smash hit “Let’s Go.” Not only that, but plenty of other rappers also popped up around his section to greet him and talk for a bit. These include J Balvin, Gunna, and Yeat, which is just about the wildest combination one could imagine for a collab. Jokes aside, the Memphis MC will hopefully continue his 2023 acclaim into 2024, because his hard work and consistency definitely merits it.

He walked the runway with a lot of confidence in a big cream jacket and a striking burgundy ensemble underneath. Both Memphis natives just possess that secret sauce when it comes to crafting songs to get incredibly lit too. Both of these guys highly respect each other. In 2023, Tay Keith and Key Glock put out their respective albums. “Mr. Glock” came through with Glockoma 2 and its deluxe. Key Glock Mourns Death Of The Glock Firearm Company’s Founder & Engineer

As one of Memphis’ top MCs right now, Key Glock is slowly becoming one of the first names you rattle off when thinking about the best trap artists today. However, the depth behind that name has quite an interesting backstory, which just recently got a saddening but honorable new set of context. Moreover, he recently took to Twitter on Wednesday (December 27) to mourn the death of Gaston Glock, the engineer who founded the Glock firearm company and designed its products. “RIP UNK,” the Tennessee rapper expressed on the social media platform, a succinct but nonetheless tributing statement on an underrated influence in his career trajectory.

Furthermore, he’s used the “Glock” name for a lot of his promotion and branding, such as his most recent album Glockoma 2. But Key Glock had previously explained that his artist name stems from a nickname that he got while coming uo in Memphis. As such, there might be more direct reasoning as to why this name is what he formed a career off of, and whether he had a special affinity for Glocks. Still, the Paper Route Empire hitmaker has never gotten too specific about this name’s origins, so there’s plenty to unveil if he so chooses.

Elsewhere on social media, he also had to respond to some pretty bizarre and worrisome allegations about backstage conduct.
