Future And Lil Durk Flex All Over The FaZe Kaysan-Produced ‘Made A Way’

FaZe Clan has built a reputation as a haven for some of the coolest personalities in e-sports, with ties to basketball through LeBron’s son FaZe Bronny and plenty of hype in the ever-growing gaming community. FaZe has always made it clear that their scope stretches well beyond just e-sports or video games, though, with a focus on becoming one of the biggest lifestyle brands in the space.

And that’s not the only space the brand is intent on conquering, as they made clear this week with the announcement of their first musician and gamer, FaZe Kaysan. Check out his introduction video below:

Not content to simply roll out this artist with a walkthrough detailing how cool his every day life is, the company also shared a new song that was co-produced by Kaysan and Wondagurl. And while plenty of hip-hop artists thrive off the collaboration ecosystem, Kaysan is coming out of the gate strong with a pair of rappers on his debut single that plenty of fledgling artists would be thrilled to have co-signs from — Future and Lil Durk. On the production side, Wondagurl was also thrilled to be involved and praised Kaysan’s enthusiasm.

“It was a lot of fun connecting with Kaysan on this project,” WondaGurl said of the track. “He has a great vibe and is super enthusiastic, two things that are really important to me when I’m working with new artists. Kaysan has a vision for himself and is driven to succeed and make his mark.”

21 Savage Explains Why Some People In Atlanta Might Believe Future Is A Bigger Rapper Than Drake

Over the past few years, 21 Savage has grown from an underground act to a star. But he has some perspective. The rapper sat down on DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast and explained that, while he has the utmost respect for Drake, people in his hometown may not consider him to be the town’s biggest rapper. That title, he says, could be given to someone like Future.

“If I wasn’t a rapper, I don’t feel like I still would listen to Drake, forreal,” Savage said during the podcast. “It’s just, I’m a rapper so I understand the work he put in and how hard he goes. Like, when you ain’t no rapper, all those statistics don’t mean sh*t. A regular street n**** don’t give a f*ck how many times you went No.1, how many white people listen to your sh*t, because the farthest they think is the club.”

He added, “In Atlanta, there’s a lot of n****s who you really can’t tell them that Future ain’t bigger than Drake. I used to think that… Drake ain’t really no big mixtape artist out there.”

In short, what Savage seems to be saying is big sales doesn’t always mean you have a big cultural impact.

Gunna And Future’s ‘Too Easy’ Is A Hard-Hitting Flex About Their Riches

Gunna is getting closer and closer to releasing his latest album, Drip Season 4. He began the rollout for the project last month by sharing “9 Times Outta 10” with producer Taurus. The Atlanta rapper continues the promotional run for his next project by releasing “Too Easy” with Future. The track is a hard-hitting flex from the rappers about the riches and success they’ve attained in their respective careers. “Too Easy” arrives as a sign of what’s to come on Drip Season 4 and it remains to be seen when that project will arrive.

The song marks the rappers’ first collaboration since they teamed up for “Street Sweeper” last year. It also arrives after Gunna was honored in his hometown of Atlanta for his charitable efforts in the city. South Fulton Mayor William “Bill” Edwards announced September 16 as Gunna Day in Atlanta and had nothing but nice words for the rapper during a ceremony for the honor.

“Gunna is committed to giving back to the community that raised him, buffered him, sheltered him, and supported him by creating Gunna’s Drip Closet and Goodr Grocery Store, which is set to provide students of McNair Middle School with access to free meals, clothing, and toiletries for years to come,” Edwards said in a speech.

Gunna is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Chloe Bailey Is Not Dating Future And She’s Not In The Illuminati

Chloe Bailey was recently hit with not one but two bizarre rumors. Mere days after she released “Have Mercy” and impressed at the 2021 MTV VMAs, someone claimed that the singer had recently began dating rapper Future. She denied this during an Instagram Live. “I don’t know where that rumor came from,” she said. “He’s a wonderful fella, love his music, I’ve never spoken to him a day in my life.”

But there was more. The second rumor claimed that Bailey is a member of the Illuminati, a rumored modern-day secret society that some believe is filled with Black celebrities from different corners of the entertainment world, all of whom sold their souls to be involved in it. Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Rihanna are just some of the names that have been tied to these rumors. And Chloe went out of her way to make it clear she is not a part of this (probably) fictitious group.

“One moment you all say that I talk about God too much and the next you say I’m selling my soul. Which is it, my loves?” she said during the livestream. “I love God so much and I love music, and I just have a lot of passion. That’s it.” She added, “I didn’t sell my soul, no,”

Drake Surprised Fans At Future’s Wireless Festival Set To Perform ‘Way 2 Sexy’

Fans in attendance at Future’s headlining set at Wireless Festival in the UK were treated to a surprise performance of the Atlanta rapper’s buzzy Drake collaborations “Life Is Good” and “Way 2 Sexy” when Drake himself popped out to assist his musical mate. It was Drake’s first performance before a festival crowd since before the coronavirus pandemic began, as well as his first time performing “Way 2 Sexy,” the silly but inescapable new single which also features Young Thug, since dropping Certified Lover Boy a week ago.

The moment was naturally captured from dozens of angles by fans with camera phones in hand, giving those not in attendance a chance to see Drake’s interactions with the crowd. “We missed you so much,” Drake declared. “While we’ve been apart for whatever it’s been — two years — we wrote a lot of songs that we played in our crib or in our studio that we never got to do in front of y’all.” Drake and Future then launched into one of those songs, the aforementioned “Way 2 Sexy” as the screen behind them read, “Hey Wireless, the boy is home.”

They also played their 2020 hit “Life Is Good,” which was a dominating song itself that year, before Drake spun off a quick medley of his own hits, including the Lil Durk-featuring “Laugh Now, Cry Later.” Check out some of the videos and photos below.
