Rolling Loud Unveils 2024 European Lineup And It’s Absolutely Stacked

Rolling Loud has become a festival institution despite being around for less than a decade. The event has put together consistently exciting lineups since it launched in 2015, and this year is only upping the ante. Rolling Loud is expanding to Europe, with the first ever European event set to take place in Ebreichsdorf, Austria. The production value and pedigree are to be expected, but the element that has most fans eager to buy tickets is the star-studded lineup. The fest is definitely opening with a bang.

The festival, which runs July 5-7, 2024, will be headlined by hip-hop superstars Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj and Playboi Carti. It doesn’t get bigger than these three, each of whom have had experience on a Rolling Loud stage previously. Scott, Minaj and Carti all performed at the California fest in 2023. Scott made his return to U.S. festivals on this Hollywood Park stage, following the tragic Astroworld incident, but only performed for a half hour due to technical difficulties. Playboi Carti, meanwhile, is a festival veteran. The “Magnolia” rapper has brought down the house repeatedly at Rolling Loud events in Miami, New York and Portugal.

The European Fest Will Be Headlined By Travis Scott

Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif, the co-founders of Rolling Loud, issued a statement following the European announcement. “We couldn’t be more excited to return to Europe,” they wrote. “We’ve been blown away by the passion of the fans at our European shows, and we know our first show in Austria is going to keep the energy going.”

The rest of the Rolling Loud Europe lineup is a veritable who’s who of hip-hop talent. Gunna, Ice Spice and Don Toliver are slated to perform, as well Ski Mask The Slump God and Offset. Other big names include Lil Tjay, Unknown, Flo Milli, BabyTron and Playboi Carti signee Destroy Lonely. Sexxy Red has become a massive pop star in the last year, which will make her appearance one of the most attended.

Red performed at the aforementioned Rolling Loud California, but she caught heat for her live singing online. The “SkeeYee” rapper will get another chance to prove herself as an elite performer before the Vienna audience. Tickets for Rolling Loud Europe will go up for sale April 12 at noon CET.

Travis Scott Urged Future & Metro Boomin To Play Drake Diss At Rolling Loud, Resurfaced Footage Reveals

Future and Metro Boomins’s eagerly anticipated collaborative album We Don’t Trust You arrived today, and clearly, the duo wasn’t looking to dodge any smoke. As listeners continue to speculate about who’s dissing who, Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Like That” is going especially viral. He goes after Drake and J. Cole on the track, leaving little to no room for interpretation.

“F*ck sneak dissin’, first person shooter, I hope they came with three switches,” he raps. “Motherf*ck the big three, n***a, it’s just big me.” For obvious reasons, fans are out in full force sharing their reactions to the diss on social media. Amid all of the discussion and debate, some users have dug up a clip from Future and Metro Boomin’s recent performance at Rolling Loud, which featured an appearance from Travis Scott.

Travis Scott Joins Future & Metro Boomin At Rolling Loud

In the clip, Travis Scott is seen onstage, encouraging the duo to play “Like That.” He seemed pretty insistent, leaving users suspecting that he might have his own issues with Drake. While it remains unclear exactly what’s causing so much tension among the former collaborators, fans note that nearly everyone seems to have it out for Drake these days. Some listeners even think Future dissed him on “We Don’t Trust You,” seemingly ruling out any future collabs.

“You a n***a number one fan, dog/ Sneak dissin’, I don’t understand, dog/ Pillowtalkin’, actin’ like a fed, dog/ I don’t need another fake friend, dog/ Can’t be ’bout a ho, ’cause we sharin’, dog/ In you feelings, n***a, why you playin’, dog?” he rhymes. Chief Keef Has Nothing But Praise For Sexyy Red

Sexyy Red was one of the biggest breakout stars in rap music in 2023. She dropped her debut album Hood Hottest Princess early in the year and then followed the album up with a deluxe edition a few months later. Included in the tracklist of the deluxe album was a collaboration with Chief Keef called “Ghetto Princess.” The song has racked up more than a million streams on Spotify and the pair recently got a chance to perform it live.

They were both included in the lineup for this year’s Rolling Loud Festival in Los Angeles. During Chief Keef’s Sunday set, Sexyy Red joined him on stage for a handful of songs. Billboard caught up with Keef backstage after the show to ask him about his relationship with Red. “She just … you could tell she really just come from where we come from. Sh*t. I just know she f*ck with me real heavy. I f*ck with her too. Saying she wants to come through and I said “hell f*cking yeah.” Check out the full backstage interview with Chief Keef below.

Don Toliver Reveals When “Hardstone Psycho” Will Drop While Teasing Unreleased Song During Rolling Loud

Don Toliver is still one of the more entertaining voices in hip-hop right now. His unique, nasally, high-pitched voice makes him standout out from most of the competition. Furthermore, he has the support of artists like Travis Scott, which means he has a great ear for beats and atmosphere. All of that has translated to some memorable tracks of the 2020 decade and some solid records. However, some could make the case that he has not truly capitalized on any four of his studio releases. But, those arguments might be put to rest after Don Toliver drops his next offering, Hardstone Psycho.

So far, the Houston, Texas multi-hyphenate has given fans excellent tracks to chew over. “Bandit” sees the more explosive side of Don Toliver. He sounds focused and hard as all hell over the rockin’ sample flip of Tame Impala’s “One More Hour.” Then, you have “Deep in the Water,” which is the low-key and vibey version of Don T. On this cut, he displays affection and support for his girlfriend and mother of their newborn baby, Kali Uchis. What is interesting is that this song also incorporates some elements of rock with the riffing at the end.

This is part of the reason why Hardstone Psycho could be a special record for Don, but also for hip-hop. A lot of people are tired of hearing the same formula. But, effectively working in another genre like rock, could pave the way for other artists to try it as well. All of this incredible potential is why we are so amped to hear Don reveal a rough release date for the album. During his Rolling Loud set, he told the audience that they can expect it sometime this summer. He segued that announcement into an incredible head-knocking preview with even more solo guitar work. Hopefully, we get both the song and album sooner than later.

What are your thoughts on Don Toliver announcing Hardstone Psycho‘s release date for the summer at Rolling Loud? Does that snippet sound like it will be the best song on the album, why or why not? Are you bumping “Deep in the Water” or “Bandit” more and why? Will this be Don’s greatest record yet? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Don Toliver and Hardstone Psycho. Kanye West At Rolling Loud: Transgender Woman Who Was Attacked In Mosh Pit Speaks Out

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign delivered a performance at Rolling Loud on Thursday last week. However, as we reported, the performance wasn’t fantastic. The two mostly just stood on the stage and walked around as music played over the top. Overall, it was fairly underwhelming, and fans were quick to point that out on social media. Unfortunately, it seems like things were more eventful in the crowd, but for all of the wrong reasons. By now, you have probably seen the footage of the transgender woman who was attacked while in a moshpit. It was upsetting to watch, as the woman was left bloodied and fearful for her life.

Recently, the woman who was attacked, Blu Linares, spoke to TMZ about what went down. As she explains, she was simply dancing to the music when a moshpit broke out. Subsequently, she got pushed into someone who then blamed her for what went down. This led to what she said were transphobic insults and some physical attacks. She was left with a gash in the middle of her forehead, and it was all a very scary scene. As she noted, the whole attack “felt transphobic.”

Kanye West Mosh Pit Turned Violent

This is not a good look for Kanye West and his fanbase. His new fans already have a bad reputation for holding white nationalist views, and typically, transphobia comes with the territory. So far, Ye nor Ty Dolla Sign have denounced what these fans did. In fact, if you were to go on social media, you would see most of the comments from fans in regards to this situation, are painting Linares to be the aggressor. It has been jarring to watch play out, and we just hope that Linares is doing okay and taking care of herself.

Let us know what you think of this situation, in the comments section down below, and please be respectful. Do you believe Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign should apologize? Or at the very least, urge their crowds and fans to be more respectful? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. Rolling Loud Los Angeles 2024: Five Best Sets Of The Weekend

Every year, some of the biggest stars in rap and R&B gather in one place. Over the weekend that place was Los Angeles for the 2024 Rolling Loud LA Festival. With four big-name headliners and dozens of beloved supporting acts, everybody got a taste of something they love during the festival. While everyone goes to music festivals for different artists and different reasons, these were some of the best sets of the weekend that brought both energy and theatricality to the festival stage.

Summer Walker

For a lot of artists, the spectacle is as much a part of the show as anything else. That was definitely the case right out of the gate for Summer’s Saturday Night performance at the GoPuff stage. With an impressive live band and array of backup dancers she made her presence known instantly upon arrival. But unlike some of the weekend’s other most theatrical performances, there was actually substance underneath the flash.

Throughout her set, Walker brushed through numerous fan favorites as well as some of her newest material. Throughout, Walker’s vocals were stunning, consistently soaring above the live instrumentation. Her performance was strong enough to reach the dramatic peaks of some of her most dramatic sonic moments and it made the set an absolute delight.

Future And Metro Boomin

Rolling Loud has a reputation for virality. That often comes from huge moments where the biggest names in hip-hop take an absolutely massive stage to show off their sheer force of star power. The only set of the entire weekend that lived up to that level of grandiosity was the Sunday night headlining slot of Future and Metro Boomin. The two superstars closed out the entire festival with a career-spanning performance that lived up to the promise of Rolling Loud.

Just a few weeks ago the pair confirmed that they have two new albums on the way very soon. Throughout the set, they continually promised that it was going to be some of the best music of the year. From what they performed live, many fans agreed, In particular, when the duo had fellow stars Travis Scott and Playboi Carti join them on stage it made for one of the best and most talked about moments of the entire weekend.

Flo Milli

Saturday night, Flo Milli hit the GoPuff stage in the wake of a major couple of weeks for her. She’s scored one of her biggest hits to date with the single “Never Lose Me,” which just got a new remix featuring SZA and Cardi B. She also just released her new album Fine Ho, Stay her first new project since 2022. All of that gave her plenty of reason to celebrate and flex, which is exactly what she did throughout her set.

She delivered one fan-favorite cut after another spanning her entire career during the 30-minute set. Much like her albums, it was an absolute banger fest. For one song after another Flo Milli routinely got the chance to spit confident bars and hard-hitting catchy refrains. With an audience clearly packed full of die-hard fans the intensity and attitude of the performance was unrivaled for the entire weekend.

YG And Tyga

It’s only fitting that two of California’s finest would deliver one of the best performances of Rolling Loud Los Angeles. YG first appeared on Thursday night alongside Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, and a myriad of other guests for the VULTURES listening party. But that was nothing compared to the energy he would bring to his own set on Friday. He’s celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut album My Krazy Life and kicked off the set with fiery performances of some of the album’s classics.

But the highlight of the show came once the pair went back to back in the second half. They did an impromptu live Verzuz on stage that reminded fans they both have hit after hit. That even included a surprise appearance from Saweetie alongside YG where they tantalized the crowd by flirting on stage. The celebration of two of the West Coast’s finest felt like one of those Rolling Loud moments that fans will talk about for years to come.

Ski Mask The Slump God

One of the most signature elements of Rolling Loud is the raucous crowds. Nearly every year videos of massive mosh pits breaking out with fans going absolutely wild hit the internet and go viral. It’s arguably the hallmark of the entire festival. Yet the only crowd of the weekend that really felt like it lived up to that high bar of intensity was Ski Mask The Slump God. He’s no Rolling Loud novice and you could tell as he seemingly knew exactly what songs to deliver to get the crowd hype.

During the second half of the set, he paid tribute to both XXXTENTACION and Juice Wrld and the crowd chanted along with nearly every word of every song. From the more intimate moments where cell phone lights swayed back and forth to the throttling intensity of songs like “Rip Roach,” Ski Mask’s set was the weekend’s lone moment that felt like it was destined to be the next viral Rolling Loud crowd hype video. Nobody all weekend was in command of the stage and the crowd more than Ski Mask The Slump God.
