B.G. Was Officially Released From Prison According To His Aunt

Some major breaking news comes from theJasmineBrand surrounding the situation with Hot Boys member, B.G. According to theJasmineBrand’s sources close to B.G., he is going to be released from prison earlier than anticipated. That person is the artist’s aunt, who confirmed this in a social media post. This is terrific news for him and his family as it was originally predicted he would not be a free man until at least April 7, 2024. The Cash Money 1993 signee was charged with accounts of witness tampering as well as illegal gun possession back in 2009.

According to reports and from theJasmineBrand, this all went down at a traffic stop in New Orleans. Authorities uncovered three guns, two of which were reported stolen, inside the vehicle B.G. was operating. Before that though, he was already booked on an illegal carrying of weapons charge. But, B.G. allegedly pressured one of his associates into falsely claiming ownership of the firearms. Then, two years later on December 7, 2011, he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice. Finally, in July 2012 B.G. was handed down 14 years in federal prison on top of three years of federal supervision after his release.

Best gift ever is freedom.” However, this is not the only form of support he has received while being locked up. Birdman, Boosie Badazz, Gucci Mane, and more have always kept him in the back of their minds.

Hot Boys Rapper B.G. Was Released From Prison After 11 Years Behind Bars On Gun Charges

In 2012, Hot Boys rapper B.G. was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering. In the last few days, there have been reports that the hip-hop artist has been released. It was confirmed by HipHopDX and now videos are circulating of him out and about.

One viral clip is an Instagram Live from Birdman, who falsely claimed last year that B.G. would be out “in a few weeks” in an old Instagram Live. However, now there’s visual evidence.

Last month, however, Boosie Badazz shared that B.G. would be getting out soon. “I’m talking to him every day now,” Boosie said, according to HipHopDX. “I got the email now. I got the email set up on my phone so I can email him. “[He doesn’t have] an actual release date, but he should be home in like three, four months. They already went to the [halfway] house and checked the house where he’s coming to.”

He continued, “He got a few b*tches he want. He got a few celebrity crushes he want me to slide in their DM and tell ’em. I’m like, ‘Bruh, you gon’ have me in all kinda shi*!’ ‘I want her, tell that bitch she for me.’ Bruh, this n**** here.”

Birdman Updates Fans On B.G. Prison Release: He’ll “Be Home In A Minute”

Birdman just provided an update on when Hot Boys member B.G. will see his prison release. Moreover, this is the latest in a long string of legal struggles behind bars for the rapper. Not only have his requests faced denials multiple times, but pressure from other rappers and pop culture figures doesn’t seem to make a dent. Still, at least there are people like the Cash Money boss in his corner to keep fans posted on his status. Most recently, the Atlanta kingpin took to Instafgram to share a picture of B.G. and an update.

“Be home in a minute,” Birdman wrote in his caption, corresponding to a simple picture of the rapper. “Heart of tha streets @new_bghollyhood #CCRG #Cashmoneymillionaire @cashmoneyofficial.” For those unaware, B.G. currently serves a 14-year prison sentence set for its end in April of 2024. Of course, this also isn’t the first time that Birdman in particular hinted at his freedom. Last year, a video went around on social media showing Bird paying a visit to him at the Federal Correctional Institution in Herlong, California.

Birdman Gives Update On B.G.’s Prison Release

Unfortunately, all of the rapper’s petitions for early release were denied by court and law enforcement authorities. While Birdman and other colleagues continued to claim and hint at his prompt exit, it seems nothing could shift the court. At the tail end of September last year, a U.S. District Judge rejected a motion to commute his sentence. Curiously, said request didn’t come from B.G., but rather another federal prisoner. However, further investigation and deliberation revealed that the letter was just meant to advocate for B.G. after his dissatisfaction with how his attorney handled a previous motion for compassionate release.

Still, many in the hip-hop community, especially those close to Cash Money, haven’t forgotten about B.G. For example, Gucci Mane said late last year that he’s giving $1 million to the incarcerated rapper once he gets out of jail. Even though these court struggles and failed requests are disheartening, hopefully he receives a warm welcome upon his release. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest updates on B.G. and Birdman.

B.G.’s Petition for Early Release From Prison Denied

video 285030

B.G. has once again been denied an early release from prison. VladTV notes U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan of New Orleans denied the handwritten letter for a compassionate release. B.G.’s letter was supported by Birdman and more. In his letter, B.G. attempted to suggest COVID-19 as a reason for his release.

“Dorsey complains of an outbreak of COVID-19 cases at his facility,” Judge Morgan wrote. “But BOP’s website currently lists zero positive cases among inmates out of a total inmate population of 960 and one positive case among staff.”

B.G., born Christopher Dorsey, first wrote for his release in February due to violence in USP Beaumont, He would state he was surrounded by “murder and mayhem.”

In his letter, B.G. noted he is one year away from being able to be eligible for home confinement, and his plan is to move to Las Vegas and continue his career as an entertainer.

In his letter, Birdman wrote that B.G. is “like a son to me.”

“He is not only a generational artist, but he’s got a platform and the chance to share his experience to better today’s young men who need to hear what he’s got to say,” Birdman wrote. “When he is released, I know he will give back and use what he’s gone through to help as many people as possible.”

B.G. is currently serving time for gun possession and witness tampering. He is at FCI Victorville Medium in California and is expected to be released in April 2024.
