The 6-track project marks the second EP in Mass Appeal’s Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack. Fivio Foreign is in the news for more than just his new single today. The New York drill king just released his new banger, “Hot Sauce.” Recently, the rapper missed a performance at Rolling Loud due to health issues. It isn’t clear what those issues were. In a statement about his absence, the rapper said, “Apologize to @RollingLoud & everybody who came out to see me I ain’t make it,” he said. “My first time missing a show and I feel so crazy about it but my body dealing w some real issues.. Juss keep me in yah prayers.”
Fivio’s absence at Rolling Loud came just one month after he admitted that he was struggling with his mental health. “Scratch dat.. I’m not healed I’m depressed..,” he tweeted. However, after missing the Rolling Loud performance, he immediately teased new music in a response to a tweet from Meek Mill. Things looked uncertain for a while there. Now, it looks like Fivio is back in top form with his new single. He’s also showing that he really cares about the people he works with.

A few days ago, a South African videographer tweeted at the rapper. He alleges that he filmed a video for Fivio while he was there for Rocking The Daisy but was never paid. “They booked me to cover his weekend here,” the user said. “I did that, they loved the videos.” Along with the tweet, the user posted some clips of the videos he took of Fivio that weekend. He probably wasn’t expecting such a quick and kind response.
Fivio was quick to hit him back. In a reply, he apologized for the videographer not getting paid. “I deff waznt aware yu never got paid.. was alot of things not being handled rite bacc in these days,” the rapper said. “Not even sure if I used these vids but imma make sure yu get paid NP.. I Apologize.” He told the videographer to message him so he could send the payment. Fivio may be hard in his music, but recently he’s shown himself to be a very empathetic and caring person. Big Drip has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling a million equivalent single units. BigFish/Colombia Records released and distributed the song. AXL Beats produced the single.

“Head Shot” is one of the lead singles of Lil Tjay’s sophomore album, Born 2 Win, released in 2021. Fivio features on the record alongside Chicago native Polo G. The single has been certified platinum by the RIAA. It debuted at No. 21 on the US Billboard R&B and Hip-Hop Chart and No. 42 on the US Chart. Bordeaux and Non Native produced the single with contributions from 101 Slide, Dmac, and Tahj Money.

The lead single is the highest-charting song from the rapper’s B.I.B.L.E. album. It features Kanye West, who delivers a stellar verse, and Alicia Keys delivers a memorable repetitive hook. Ye returns the favor on “City of Gods” after Fivio was featured on his song “Off the Grid.” The song is another New York anthem that floats over Fivio Foreign’s signature drill beat.

The record sees King Von and Fivio Foreign trade bars on grimy drill themes like sex, gun violence, and life in the inner cities.

Lil Tjay, now a frequent Fivio Foreign collaborator, delivers a catchy hook and an above-average hook on his song “Not in the Mood.” However, Fivio steals the show with the delivery of his verse. The song also features Kay Flock. BS Beats and AyoAA handled the production of the song. “Not in the Modd” peaked at No. 22 on the R&B and Hip-Hop chart and No. 62 on the US Chart. It has amassed 31 million views on YouTube.

Beat Goes Hard, Fivio Goes Harder
Fivio Foreign dropped his new single and music video today. The song is a hard drill banger, complete with distorted 808s and speedy hi-hat triplets. The production really goes off. The song has everything you could want. It even samples a crow cawing, which sounds far cooler in the song than in writing. “F*ck all this fame sh*t, we with all of the gang sh*t / And we still moving dangerous,” Fivio raps. Seems like this song is his reminder that he shouldn’t be messed with.
The video goes just as hard as the song. It features Fivio on multiple different sets. On one, he brandishes a flamethrower. On another, he stands surrounded by meticulously placed body bags as the camera floats above him. It’s definitely a welcome addition as it makes the lyrics of the song pop even more. The king of New York drill is back with another heater. After canceling an appearance at Rolling Loud festival last month, Fivio Foreign has made a triumphant return. Tonight (April 14), Fivio has dropped his new single, “Hot Sauce,” which he has been teasing for the past couple of weeks.
In a signature Fivio move, the rapper blazes up a scorching drill beat over the course of “Hot Sauce,” and makes it known that he is not the one to play with.
“I’m with all of the gang sh*t / and we still moving dangerous / When that 40 go bow / It’s speaking my language / that 40 my favorite / They wanted that hot sauce / He know if he catch a body that money get dropped off,” he raps on one of the song’s verses, making it known that he is always on guard.
In the song’s accompanying visual, Fivio is seen wielding a flame thrower. He is surrounded by his affiliates, as many of them are seen donning masks. In several scenes, Fivio dances while surrounded by what appear to be body bags.
Interspersed throughout the video are 35mm images of Fivio and his crew.
