Beyonce Co-Signs Teyana Taylor And Victoria Monet’s BET Tribute

Usher was the main focus of the BET Awards. He was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and several of the musical performances throughout the ceremony were covers of his classic songs. Teyana Taylor and Victoria Monet teamed up for a cover of Usher’s “Bad Girl,” and promptly electrified the crowd. The performance was widely praised by fans online. But the biggest co-sign came from an unlikely source: Beyonce.

Queen Bey shared clips from the performance on her Instagram Story. It makes sense, once you consider the fact that Beyonce and Usher performed “Bad Girl” together on the Truth Tour in 2004. Taylor and Monet used the same exact choreography as their predecessor, turning in a stellar cover. However, neither artist could maintain their composure when they realized Beyonce reposted them. “Everything she saidddd,” Teyana Taylor wrote on her IG Story. “Bihhhhh I’m speechless. & DATS ON QUEEN BEYYYYYYYYYYYY, I’m GAGGGGINGGGGGGGI!!!!”

Victoria Monet was similarly blown away by the co-sign. She joined her collaborator Taylor in praising Beyonce for her shout-out. “OOOOH MYYYY GOD!!!!! na I AM SCREAMING!! WHATTTT,” she wrote in yet another IG Story. “CAN NOT GRASP AIR I AM UNWELL HOLY SH*T I did not expect to pass out today! GAGGEDD…completely. @beyonce WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!! THE ORIGINAL BAD GYAL I will forever honor you.” She even tagged Taylor add added: “WTFFFF PINCH ME.”

The performance by Taylor and Monet is even more impressive considering the time constraints they were under. In a separate post, Teyana Taylor revealed that she and Monet had less than 48 hours to get together and perfect the “Bad Girl” choreography. “We don’t regret one moment of it,” she asserted. “We had an assignment that needed to be OVERstood for one of the GOATS… We’d do it all over again and wouldn’t change a thing.” Taylor and Monet received praise from two GOATs that night. They have nothing to change.

Teyana Taylor & Iman Shumpert Finalize Divorce With Seven-Figure Settlement

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s divorce process took some bumps along the road, but according to a new report from the Jasmine Brand, they have now finalized their settlement. A Fulton County judge oversaw the process, which began in a private filing on Taylor’s behalf back in 2023 after seven years of marriage with two daughters. Moreover, in the judge’s ruling, they divided many of their assets and outlined child support terms. However, it’s also important to note that, at press time, neither has publicly commented on the latest developments in court.

Nevertheless, this new ruling from the judge includes a one-time, seven-figure payment from Iman Shumpert to Teyana Taylor. In addition, the singer will reportedly keep four marital properties with an approximate $10 million value as assets from their shared estate. On the other hand, the former NBA star will keep a Miami condo and his compounds in South Georgia and Decatur. As for child support, Shumpert will pay $8,000 a month and cover private school fees for their daughters, and it seems like both kept most of their personal assets like cars and jewelry, such as Taylor’s Bronco truck.

Another aspect of the settlement concerns Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s business ventures, such as the former’s Taylormade and Auntie’s companies and the latter’s undisclosed investments. While all this has probably been a pretty stressful and difficult affair, the two are still publicly amicable with each other. Sure, this has led to some online interactions being even more prone the watchful eye of the gossip train, such as thirsty IG comments. But we can’t really know what’s going on, and we don’t know if they will ever address it specifically in the future.

If they fail to meet this deadline, then the judge will remove the case from the docket, although they will still have a chance to start the process over if this is the case. Moreover, the former couple was in court on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week to discuss some unresolved issues which they have yet to put in writing. These include a final judgement, a parenting plan, and child support addendums and worksheets.

Furthermore, this legal development in court comes amid some interesting social media reactions between Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert. For example, Shumpert recently commented on Taylor’s post about her Met Gala fit, praising her looks while also suggesting that she doesn’t need him to tell her that to know it for herself. She donned her blonde hair with a ton of David Yurman accessories, which comprised chunky gold bracelets and big dangling earrings. Teyana Taylor is poised to go behind the camera in her directorial debut for Get Lite, an upcoming film at Paramount, and get this, Emmy Winner Storm Reid is starring. Reid, a rising star is producing the film through A Seed & Wings Productions her production company, and Kenya Barris is producing under his banner, Khalabo Ink Society.

Deadline exclusively reported and here’s the description:

The film follows a studious New York City teenager who has his world upended when he falls for a charismatic beatmaker (played by Reid) who recruits him to join her Litefeet dance crew, forcing him to choose between a safe academic path and his rekindled love of dance.

Get Lite, is written by Eric Gross and will be produced by OFFBRND’s Bill Karesh, along with Reid’s mother Robyn Simpson under A Seed & Wings Productions and Anni Weisband. Taylor is executive producing and Coco Gilbert is co-producing.

Taylor, has been more than exploring Hollywood as of late as she has been expanding her film/TV resume. This includes great reviews for her leading role in A Thousand and One, a critically acclaimed film.

Reid, who’s known for her role in Euphoria, has become one of the most in-demand young stars in Hollywood. As mentioned she’s an Emmy Winner for her guest role in HBO’s The Last of Us and was seen in Missing and The Nun 2.
