Megan Thee Stallion “Toxic” Preview Earns Various Reactions Online

Megan Thee Stallion isn’t letting the hype from “HISS” fade away without taking full advantage of all the attention she’s been getting. Rather, the Houston hottie is using the sweeping success of her first single of 2024 to tease more new heat she’s been cooking up in the studio. After the former track went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Meg’s third song to ever do so, she went on Instagram Live to celebrate the big news with her fans. Not only did she put on a show by twerking up a storm, but she also previewed “Toxic,” which could potentially be the next single from her upcoming album.

In her usual fashion, Thee Stallion drops plenty of salacious bars, such as “If you take a trip to Dior, baby, I could be your little wh*re.” During her stream, the Southern starlet was obviously impressed with her work, but so far, the response online has been underwhelming compared to what “HISS” delivered. Nevertheless, Meg’s loyal fans have had her back consistently over the past few days full of emotional intensity.

This the most success she’s going to get 😂😂.” Elsewhere, another negative review says, “I have nothing against Meg so don’t even try coming at me… But hear me out, this sounds like nothing new.”

Ne-Yo Says He’s Too “Toxic” For Taylor Swift

Ne-Yo discussed the idea of dating Taylor Swift during a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe for his Club Shay Shay podcast. In doing so, he remarked that the iconic singer wouldn’t be interested in him due to his “toxic” behavior.

“You and Taylor Swift would make a cute couple,” Sharpe remarked during the show. “Taylor don’t want me I’m toxic,” Ne-Yo replied. “She don’t want me. I’ll mess all that up for you, Taylor. All love.”

Fans in the comments section of Sharpe’s post weren’t flattered by Ne-Yo’s response. “Mane 45 years talking about I’m toxic. Grow up and get a new hat,” one fan wrote. Another commented, “Translation she has way to much money and she doesn’t need me so I can’t manipulate and control her with the very thing she has.”

Ne-Yo and his ex-wife Crystal Renay finalized their divorce in February. Afterward, he told TMZ that he was open to the idea of dating fans of his music. “Somebody on my level kind of understands that plight of what I go through just as a celebrity,” he said at the time. “But at the same time, we’re weirdos. Us celebrities, we’re weirdos. So I like normal people. I’m okay with going for just regular people.”

Ne-Yo On Taylor Swift

As for Taylor Swift, she is currently dating the Matt Healy of The 1975 fame. While neither has spoken at length about the relationship in public, Swift alluded to the relationship being in a great place during a recent stop on her Eras tour. “It’s insane. I kind of just feel like telling you, that I don’t know, that just…I’ve never been this happy in my life in all aspects of my life ever before,” she told the audience. “And I just want to thank you for being a part of that. It’s not just the tour, like, I don’t know, my life finally feels like it makes sense.”

Rubi Rose’s Type Is “Guys [Who] Act Like They Don’t Like [Her]”

The man most recently linked to Rubi Rose romantically is French Montana following a dinner date earlier this year. Since then, however, we haven’t heard much from the rumoured couple. Instead, the OnlyFans creator has been sharing some of her thoughts about relationships on Twitter – one of which got her dissed by Blueface. “I feel like the man is supposed to pursue the woman… ion text/call guys first ever,” she wrote earlier this month. In response, the California native told his followers, “The Bible says men should never chase women.”

While not everyone agreed with Rubi’s hot take on Twitter, even fewer understand her comments in a video that’s making rounds on various blogs. “Do you have a type?” she was asked while chowing down on a meal with a friend. “I like guys that don’t like me,” the 25-year-old said after a momentary pause. “And when they start liking me, I don’t like them. It’s really sad, it’s weird,” she reflected. “Unless I really really like them, but I like when guys don’t act interested. You know what I’m saying?”

Rubi Rose Likes Her Men Uninterested

In @theneighborhoodtalk’s comment section, one user offered a particularly insightful explanation as to why Rubi perhaps feels this way. “That’s only because she has become accustomed to guys falling head over heels for her so it’s uninteresting,” they speculated of the Kentucky native. “But a guy who seems uninterested becomes a chase, Fun & fair play to win them over. So I see where she’s coming from but that shiii will only last so long when he do some shiii to show you he really don’t gaf bout you! 😖😓.”

The black-haired beauty has been known to engage in toxic situations romantically in the past, but now that her feelings are out in the open, hopefully, she’ll be able to work through and heal from them. Toosii Taps Future For “Favorite Song (Toxic Version)” Remix

There’s plenty of new music to get into this Friday (May 19), including singles from Post Malone, Juice WRLD, and H.E.R., as well as a long-awaited R&B EP from Summer Walker. A few of our favourites have hopped on remixes with rising artists as well, such as Snoop Dogg’s work with Scar Lip on “This Is Cali,” and Future’s appearance on Toosii’s “Favorite Song.” In his usual fashion, the Atlanta native chiefly put a toxic twist on the popular track.

“These bitches too smart to compete with you / I’ma leave her right now if she mention you,” Hendrix begins his verse. “Only f*ckin’ on her just to get to you / Only f*ckin’ on her ’cause we’re missin’ you,” he later assures his lover. For his part, Toosii sadly sings on the chorus, “I’m on the stage right now, singin’ your favorite song / Look in the crowd, and you’re nowhere to be found as they sing along.”

The original version of “Favorite Song” first landed back in February, and has since gone on to become a fan favourite within Toosii’s discography. It was produced by ADELSO and Tatiana Manaois (via a sample previously taken from 2022’s “You Might As Well”) and marks a continuation of the 23-year-old’s undeniably hot R&B streak with other singles like “Magic Potion,” Heartaches,” and “Love Is…”

Prior to releasing his latest hit, the New Yorker teased it on TikTok, at which time listeners immediately fell in love and demanded its release. They’ve since shown plenty of support, racking up over 66 million streams on DSPs. Nick Cannon’s Exes Are To Thank For His “Toxic Origin Story,” Father Of 12 Says

Not only does Nick Cannon have a dozen children in his life to take care of, but the California native also has six baby mamas to consider when making major life decisions. Mariah Carey, Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole, and Alyssa Scott are the women he co-parents with. Understandably, his relationship with some appears to be stronger than others. He and De La Rosa work together at The Daily Cannon, but Nick and Carey are known to have their spats. Elsewhere, Cole was recently left to deal with watching the actor forget their daughter’s name during an interview.

He’s obviously not perfect. Still, the 42-year-old tries his best to show up for his kids. He even rented out Six Flags to celebrate his eldest set of twins’ birthdays. He shares much of his life and has always been candid about how being a father of 12 impacts his busy schedule. Cannon has also regularly been outspoken about his love life, as we saw on Twitter this past Thursday (May 4). In the early morning hours, he used the platform to get a few things off his chest. Mostly he spoke about past romances that have shaped him into the man we see before us today.

Nick Cannon Thanks His Former Lovers on Twitter

“Shoutout to all my toxic people that ever broke up with somebody because they thought somebody was about to break up with their somebody,” he wrote. It remains unclear if Cannon was being sarcastic and laughing at the complicated nature of modern dating, or dishing about a situation he’s been experiencing in his own life. “To all my exes, thanks for the toxic origin story,” Cannon added in another tweet an hour later. “Gladly turning into the villain all y’all want me to be!”

As AllHipHop notes, Nick Cannon has been linked to some beautiful famous faces aside from his baby mamas. The list includes the likes of Kim Kardashian, Christina Milan, and Selita Ebanks, just to name a few. Do you have any exes who have notably contributed to your origin story? Tink Brings “Toxic” Love To Our “R&B Season” Spotify Playlist

We know that most music lovers will be ending their weekend by tuning into the 65th annual Grammy Awards. On Saturday (February 4), the venue’s seating plan was teased on social media. Countless celebrities have also been partying throughout Hollywood as they gear up for the big night. You may not be attending, but you’ll definitely need some music to help you get ready to watch at home – that’s where our R&B Season playlist comes in handy.

The standout from the latest round of selections is Ella Mai’s Heart On My Sleeve (Deluxe) album. It previously debuted across streamers on Thursday (February 2), complete with new titles “2 O’Clock” and “Our Song.” Both tracks earned a spot on our Spotify selection of favourites, not to mention the impact they’ve had on fans so far.

The R&B starlet’s original sophomore release came in May 2022. Collaborators she connected with include Latto, Roddy Ricch, and Lucky Daye. She additionally recruited a strong roster of producers, such as Mustard and Boi-1da.

Next on our list comes a new single from Tink, called “Toxic.” As the title infers, the emotional track tells the story of a past love gone wrong, seemingly leaving our vocalist with some serious feelings of regret. It marks her first release since last year’s Pillow Talk project and sees her talent obviously shining through.

“Tryna play on my energy, all these hoes envy me / Can’t show you what you meant to me, f*ck shit don’t get to me,” her voice rings out over the R&B track. “I’m a real bitch, not industry, still waiting on a bitch to finish me / I was f*cking on the enemy, I should’ve known.”

Finally, we have a remix from PinkPantheress for your consideration. On “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2,” she nabbed Bronx-based drill artist Ice Spice to join her. In the accompanying visual, the girls explore New York City together along with their baddie friends.

Stream our latest R&B Season update exclusively on Spotify below. Afterward, tell us which of this weekend’s new releases is your favourite in the comments. Additionally, you can find more music recommendations on our Fire Emoji playlist here.

Tink Returns with New Single and Video “Toxic”

Tink Returns with New Single and Video "Toxic"

Tink, an R&B musician and poet, releases her new track “Toxic” on Winter’s Diary / WD Records / EMPIRE. The song is about being stuck in a bad relationship cycle and was executive produced by Hitmaka, Empire’s multi-platinum producer and VP of A&R.

“Toxic is the song that puts me in that mode every day,” says Tink. “I love to see the girls pop their shit & this is me setting the tone for the year. I’m just approaching everything harder, speaking on real things. That’s how I connect through the music.”

Tink highlights the musical Chicago in the video, replicating the “Cell Block Tango” scene with her team. Tink then comes to an intense face-to-face with her man.

“The video was inspired by the patterns we all see in different relationships…those toxic cycles,” explains Tink.

You can see the video below.

Tink Gets “Toxic” On New Single

Chicago rapper and singer Tink is back with a new song, the gorgeous and heart-ached “Toxic.” Moreover, the track is an exploration of a past relationship that she now regrets, conveying a lot of resentment and betrayed hindsight. Also, this is her first release since Pillow Talk dropped in August of 2022. Furthermore, the album featured 2 Chainz, G Herbo, Muni Long, and many more. Still, this solo outing displays Tink’s versatile talents, cutting lyricism, and measured sonic presentation. While you might know her for either her R&B or hip-hop escapades, you can’t deny her skill in either lane.

However, despite the track’s title, this is actually a very smooth and gorgeously produced cut. Sure, it only lasts two minutes and change, but its short sweetness means she punched in a lot of passion quickly. From the opening string melody, complemented with bright and soothing glockenspiel, the track continues its mellow trajectory. Moreover, the 27-year-old’s vocals soar prominently as the track’s main draw. Even if the instrumental backdrop is undoubtedly wondrous, it’s not enough to lessen the angst in Tink’s vocals. Still, it’s a compelling and dynamic mix of emotionally contrasting lyricism and instrumental prowess.

However, maybe you prefer a more even mix of the Chicago MC’s rapping and singing. For example, maybe you find this beat a little too slow. In that case, we’d recommend standout tracks from Pillow Talk like “Oooh Triflin” with Fabulous. Regardless, what did you think of Tink’s latest heart-ached but perseveringly beautiful new song, “Toxic”? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments and check out the music video and notable lines down below. Also, if you haven’t heard the track yet, you can find the ballad on your preferred streaming service. As always, stay locked into HNHH for the best new releases each week in R&B and beyond.
