Dwyane Wade Has Sexuality Questioned After Posing In Blue Collar Attire For GQ

Dwyane Wade is one of the most legendary shooting guards in the entire history of the NBA. Overall, he is a player who is beloved by Miami Heat fans. After all, he brought three NBA titles to that team, which is nothing to sneeze at. Although some people feel as though the Heat should have won more with LeBron, D-Wade is still a great ambassador for that franchise. When all is said and done, he will likely go down as the team’s most legendary player. Even if he wasn’t necessarily the best.

These days, Wade has been raising his family and having a good time with his wife, Gabrielle Union. However, some people have been exceptionally negative as it pertains to Wade. With Zaya Wade’s transition in mind, some have put the man’s parenting into question. Moreover, whenever he debuts a new fashion look, people try to question his sexuality. It must be extremely frustrating for Wade, but he doesn’t seem to let it get in the way of whatever he wants to do. Case in point: his latest GQ photoshoot.

Dwyane Wade For GQ

This shoot was for GQ‘s Denim’s New Age issue which is coming out next month. Overall, Wade can be seen wearing a pair of jeans, black cowboy boots, a white t-shirt, and a neutral hat. It is an inoffensive outfit that led to some pretty offensive comments. “He doing this while Gabby Union at home mowing the lawn,” one person wrote. “Ok lil nas wade,” said another. The implications of the comments were pretty obvious, and it is bizarre to see so many people take something so simple and make it negative. That said, it is good to see Wade ignoring the hate and doing his own thing.

Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below. Is the hate against Dwyane Wade overblown? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite athletes and their coming moves.

Cam’ron Confirms He & Mase Have Unheard Music In The Vault

It’s no secret that Cam’ron and Mase are an iconic duo. They became friends as kids, formed a hip-hop group together in the early 90s, and then slowly started to drift apart. Eventually, their relationship turned sour, and Cam’ron accused Mase of being a “fraud,” kicking off what would end up being a years-long feud.

Luckily, the two of them were ultimately able to sort out their differences. They even joined forces to start a sports podcast together last year, It Is What It Is. It’s gone on to become a massive success, hosting various high-profile guests like Ice Cube, Stephen A. Smith, and many more. They even scored a major deal with Underdog Fantasy in August, giving the personalities even more room to grow.

What’s Happening With Pitchfork And ‘GQ’?

pitchfork logo
Pitchfork/Derrick Rossignol

Pitchfork has been a consistent presence in the lives of many music fans, as the website launched in 1996 and has long been one of the most popular music journalism brands. (They also launched the annual Pitchfork Music Festival in 2006.) The publication has undergone some changes along the way, though, most notably being sold to Condé Nast (which also owns publications like Vogue, The New Yorker, GQ, Vanity Fair, Wired, and more) in 2015. Now, it looks like another new era at Pitchfork has just begun.

What’s happening with Pitchfork and GQ?

In a tweet on January 17, media reporter Max Tani shared a note sent by Condé Nast management to staff. The message indicates that Pitchfork will have some sort of merger with GQ. It also says that some Pitchfork employees are no longer with the company effective today (January 17), apparently including Puja Patel, who was the site’s editor in chief.

The message — signed by Anna Wintour, Condé Nast’s chief content officer and global editorial director of Vogue — reads:

“Dear all,

Today we are evolving our Pitchfork team structure by bringing the team into the GQ organization. This decision was made after a careful evaluation of Pitchfork’s performance and what we believe is the best path forward for the brand so that our coverage of music can continue to thrive within the company. Both Pitchfork and GQ have unique and valuable ways that they approach music journalism, and we are excited for the new possibilities together.

With these organizational changes, some of our Pitchfork colleagues will be leaving the company today. I want to thank Puja for her leadership of the title over the last five years. She has been a wonderful colleague and advocate for the brand, and I’m grateful for her and the team’s many contributions.

Members of the Pitchfork team will hear more about their reporting structure in meetings this week. There are no additional changes at this time as we focus on our internal team structure and operations. We will of course keep this team updated first when any new decisions are made about the transition.

Anna.”

As Variety reports, features editor Jill Mapes is among those no longer with Pitchfork, as Mapes revealed on X (formerly Twitter). Variety also notes, “A rep for Condé Nast did not have information on how many Pitchfork staffers are being let go.” Associate news director Evan Minsker also revealed he was laid off.

Meanwhile, Tani noted in response to a question about Pitchfork’s future, “Pitchfork is going to continue publishing, but future seems unclear medium/long term. I’m told this was a business side decision, advertising is stronger at other Conde brands like GQ. But don’t have much more info yet…”

Officially, there has been no announcement about specifically how Pitchfork will exist and operate going forward.

Pharrell Reflects On What He’s Learned As Louis Vuitton Creative Director

Pharrell recently discussed some of the lessons he’s learned since taking over as creative director at Louis Vuitton. Speaking with GQ, the legendary producer explained the importance of having a great team around you as an artist.

“One of the greatest things that I’ve learned is about really concentrating on how to do something great, and how important it is to have the resources to bring it to life,” Pharrell told the outlet. “Being surrounded by the greatest of the greats, team wise, it just makes all the difference in the world. I mean, you can have good ideas all the time. There’s so many people with great ideas, but when you don’t have the right team around you and the unlimited resources and support, it’s just extremely difficult. I’ve learned that.” Pharrell added: “I don’t know how I got anything done before this. Now I’m used to working with an orchestra of brilliant talent.”

Pharrell also discussed how he felt after his debut fashion show in Paris in June. “I didn’t have any expectations,” he admitted to the outlet. “I just was so caught up in the process, as I am now. I’m just very… I’m not overwhelmed in a negative way, but I am consumed by the creative process and executing and getting things right. That’s so important to me.”

Pharrell joined the fashion house back in February, filling the position left vacant by the death of Virgil Abloh in 2021. He described the offer as a surprise while discussing the gig with GQ for a previous interview in August. More recently, he showcased his second collection for the brand at a show in Hong Kong in November. Be on the lookout for further updates on Pharrell and his work at Louis Vuitton on HotNewHipHop.

Kim Kardashian to Play Lawyer Inspired by Laura Wasser in New TV Series

Kim Kardashian Says She Protects Her Children From Any Negative Conversations About Ye

Kim Kardashian will soon be the lead role in a new Ryan Murphy show. According to TMZ, Kardashian will portray a famous divorce attorney inspired by Laura Wasser for a new TV show.

Wasser represents celebrities in their divorce dealings and has represented Ariana Grande, Kris Jenner, Ryan Reynolds, and more.

Deadline details the story as “a high-end, glossy and sexy adult procedural” and will air on Hulu. The show was pitched to Kardashian and Kris Jenner before being sold to the streamer, which also houses The Kardashians reality show.

Recently, Kim Kardashian covered GQ’s 28th annual Men of the Year issue. In the vast cover story, she speaks on her divorce from Kanye West, specifically addressing how watching her parents’ divorce impacted how she approached her own.

Kim reveals she was nine when her parent’s divorce happened, citing a family meeting led to the divorce conversation. Now, she uses those experiences for herself.

“I did think about how my parents handled it with us,” Kardashian said. “I just remember them being open…Ultimately, what matters is that kids feel loved and heard. You want to be sensitive because they’re just kids, and it’s hard to go through no matter what age. You have to make sure that you only go to a level that they can understand. It’s okay to show a vulnerable side. You never go to a negative side.”

Kardashian also revealed she is “more religious than most people guess” and prays to her children before bed. The practice replicates what Robert Kardashian did to Kim and her siblings. “That’s how I manage life. I look at everything as lessons. Things happen exactly the way that they are supposed to and take you exactly where you need to be. Even if it doesn’t make sense at the time, it’s leading you to a path.”

Erykah Badu Stuns On The Cover Of “GQ Germany” Men Of The Year Edition

Earlier this week, GQ Germany unveiled its latest cover star, which is none other than Erykah Badu. The publication declared the Grammy winning performer the “Music Icon Of The Year” for their “Men Of The Year” issue, and she certainly brought all the intensity one would expect for her shoot. On the cover, Badu is seen striking a dramatic pose with her arms raised above her head, as her long braids obscure her otherwise bare chest.

She reflected on pioneering Neo-Soul in her interview with GQ Germany, describing how she paved the way for other artists with her debut album. “I helped introduce them,” she began. “I was the first in my genre. There was no genre until the name Neo-Soul was created for the album Baduizm because no one could categorize what I was doing. I drilled a hole in the dam, so to speak, and all the like-minded frequencies flowed through it. It’s a formula that others can use.”

Badu also opened up about what’s it’s been like for her being a woman in a male-dominated industry, claiming that she only began to recognize her gender once she delved into music. “I didn’t know I was a woman,” she explained. “I grew up in a community of people and went to art school to dance. In the art school, everyone is non-binary. We are simply human beings. We are creators.”

“I learned that I am a woman after I came into the music industry,” she continued. “There are a few unspoken rules regarding producers and production. If you do not know all the terms from the field of technology and production, you will not be taken into account when you present your ideas. This applies not only to women, but to everyone. I made my way through the door. Even without speaking their language. I was able to communicate with colors, sounds and hints. That’s my vision. That’s what I hear. I didn’t accept a no as an answer. I didn’t really have a hard time as a woman in the industry because I didn’t let myself be put in a drawer.” What do you think of Erykah Badu’s GQ Germany cover? How about her takes on pioneering Neo-Soul and being a woman in the music industry? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Andre 3000’s Experimental New Album Sells 24k In Its First Week

Last week, Andre 3000 surprised the rap world by dropping his debut solo album after nearly two decades without a new project. But as soon as the announcement dropped, he made it clear to fans that the album might not be what they were expecting. He promised that the album had “no bars” and delivered on that promise. New Blue Sun is a long ambient jazz album that predominately features Andre playing the flute.

Now, the official first-week sales numbers for the project are in. It pushed 24k units which was good enough for #34 on the Billboard 200. While the numbers aren’t eye-popping by hip-hop standards, they’re very impressive for such an experimental album. While the project has been met with plenty of praise from critics, fans have been much more skeptical. Many out there don’t feel all that relieved that Andre finally released an album, because they were only hoping for a new rap project. New Blue Sun was the fourth highest-debuting album this week behind country legend Dolly Parton, K-pop group ENHYPHEN, and the new collaborative album between 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne.

Andre 3000 Debuts At Number 34

In the wake of his album announcement, Andre 3000 made numerous other revelations in an interview with GQ. He revealed that he’s secretly been collaborating with other artists and contributing instrumentation to their album under a pseudonym. That caused fans to pour through their music libraries looking for tracks he might be included on.

Now that the sales numbers for the album are out, fans are reflecting on DJ Vlad’s take on the project. He claimed that the streaming and sales numbers speak for themselves and that Andre should focus on giving the people what they want. Many fans who liked the album disagreed with his take online. What do you think of the first week sales for Andre 3000’s new album? Were they more or less than what you were expecting? Let us know in the comment section below.

Travis Scott Interviews Himself At GQ Men Of The Year Awards

Travis Scott asked himself his own questions while walking the red carpet at the GQ Men of the Year Awards at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, last week. When one reporter approached him carrying flashcards, Scott took the cards and began asking himself the questions.

“‘You wanted to turn UTOPIA into a musical — is there a plan for a Broadway show yet?’ Fuck yeah, it is,” he said. “‘You said you wanted to study architecture at Harvard — which city’s architecture inspires you the most?’ Not gonna lie, Tokyo is kind of fire … Rome is fire …Pompeii is actually amazing … Chile is actually cr*zy […] Brazil is actually fucking beautiful.”

Scott previously revealed that he wanted to take Utopia to Broadway during a recent interview with GQ. He explained: “I wanted the album to be a play. I was trying to take Broadway — because the thing about Broadway theaters, they’re kind of small — I was trying to bring the idea of Broadway to bigger venues. Either plays in stadiums or plays in arenas, but still make it feel like a Broadway bill.” He added: “I love Jeremy O. Harris. He’s amazing. We were exploring all these different ideas. I met with him. I met with a couple of different people. We just talked about the idea of it happening. I was still trying to figure it out,” he said. Andre 3000 Thinks “Idlewild” Could Have Been A “Slip” For Outkast

Andre 3000 sat down with GQ earlier this week, opening up about Outkast’s discography ahead of his latest solo instrumental project, New Blue Sun. He spoke on he and Big Boi finding success early on in their careers, describing how they’ve had a unique experience because of how rapidly their success grew. While the duo’s known for their prolificacy, Andre 3000 notes that not everything an artist releases can be a banger, claiming that they may have missed the mark with their final studio album, Idlewild.

“It was a blessing to be successful that young,” Andre 3000 began. “I think our career is kind of interesting because since our very first album, we’ve gone platinum and just kept rising. Like, so next album was double, next three — it just kept rising.” He continued, speaking on their iconic fifth studio album Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. The 2003 LP just recently became the best-selling rap album of all time.

Andre 3000 Opens Up About Outkast’s Discography

“We haven’t taken a fall, y’know what I mean?” he explained. “And I think sometimes you build character or you build something by failure. Idlewild may have been our slip. You never know — the only thing you can do is be honest about what you’re doing at the time.” He went on to describe the “true chemistry” he had with Big Boi at Outkast’s peak, noting how the love they shared still remains.

According to him, Big Boi’s always been Outkast’s “biggest cheerleader” over the years, and would agree to a reunion without hesitation. “I do know I’m not the controller, Big Boi’s not the controller, of any of this. We couldn’t have planned where we are,” he added. “So we can’t plan an ending.” What do you think of Andre 3000 claiming that Idlewild could have been a “slip” for Outkast? Do you agree with him? Andre 3000 Reveals He And Big Boi Used To Pray To Become Good Rappers

Andre 3000 is back in the news in a major way this week. Overnight, he released his highly anticipated first solo album. The project is called New Blue Sun and was only announced earlier this week. With the announcement 3 Stacks was sure to temper fan expectations by letting them know that the album had “no bars.” The project is now officially out and features nearly 90 minutes of ambient and jazz inspired instrumental music.

In a recent interview with GQ, Andre discussed his new album, fan expectations, and his life after Outkast. He also discussed the fallout from the duo’s breakthrough as rap stars. “That’s life — you want what you want, ’til you don’t want it. Me and Big Boi used to literally pray every night. ‘Lord, really, really, we just wanna be good rappers.’ That was our prayer. It was called, like, a rapper’s prayer. And we did that,” he explained. But as it turned out, the fame wasn’t everything for the pair. “And now we’re seeing that it’s happened. I love that it’s happened. I don’t regret any of that. But it’s kind of like now that I’m at a certain level, I miss certain things about normalcy,” Andre concluded. Check out the full interview below.

Andre 3000 On Praying To Be A Good Rapper

Andre 3000’s new album has just 8 songs, but he makes the most out of the song titles. Many of them are hilariously long and detailed. “I swear, I Really Wanted To Make A “Rap” Album But This Is Literally The Way The Wind Blew Me This Time” and “Dreams Once Buried Beneath The Dungeon Floor Slowly Sprout Into Undying Gardens” are just two examples of the silly song titles.

Though the album isn’t exactly what many fans were hoping for, it’s received some good initial buzz. Additionally many of other rappers like Lupe Fiasco have expressed their excitement for the record. Before it was even released Andre played the project for Frank Ocean and Tyler, The Creator. What do you think of Andre 3000 and Big Boi praying to become good rappers? Let us know in the comment section below.
