On a recent episode of Will Smith’s Class of ’88 podcast, he and Pepa recalled going on a date together back in the day. Obviously, their relationship didn’t pan out. Pepa went on to marry Treach while Smith tied the knot with Jada Pinkett Smith. Now, however, it appears as though both of them are single, leaving fans wondering what would happen if they gave each other another shot.

“Okay, you were very nice,” Pepa said of their date. “This was the date you won and beat us out. You was so happy. You was like let’s go celebrate. Then we were out and you saw a homeless person. You gave the homeless person $100. And it was so nice. Then, we went to the Hollywood sign.”

“I think you and Treach had been broke up for a minute,” Smith added. “So, in my mind when I was like trying to spit my game but I ain’t really have nothing. Cuz my concern was I was gonna get killed.” On top of the sweet story, Pepa previously opened up about her fling with Smith in a 2009 interview with Global Grind, revealing that she had some regrets. She had nothing but flattering things to say about Smith, and expressed curiosity about what her life would have been like had she chosen him over Treach.

“I thought Will was really cute, and we would hang out a lot on the road. He liked to take care of me and never let me spend a dime. He was that kind of guy, real generous,” she revealed. “I sometimes kick myself when I think about what could have been. He was so nice to me, but I really wasn’t feeling him. I guess I couldn’t appreciate a nice guy like Will Smith. He wasn’t thug enough. I was attracted to thugs and hoodlums. Will was too nice to me.”

Will Smith recalled the turbulent circumstances that came with a one-off date he went on with Pepa (Sandra Denton) from Salt N Pepa. “I think you and Treach had been broke up for a minute. Meanwhile, Smith recently stunned his own (estranged) wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, as he crashed a stop on her book tour. The actor and singer took to the stage to profess his love for Jada, who recently claimed they had been separated for seven years. “I just really wanted to come out and just be here and hold it down for you the way you have held it down for me. We have had a very, very long and tumultuous [relationship]. We call it ‘brutiful.’ It was brutal and beautiful at the same time,” Smith said as Jada attempted to hold back her emotions.

However, he wasn’t done yet. “As I stand here before you today, I am happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life. I have achieved every single thing I have ever wanted in my entire life. There is not one thing left that I desire in this world — all of the awards, all of the money, the family — everything I’ve ever dreamed,” he added. Moreover, during a talk with a friend on Instagram Live, he revealed that he doesn’t like to date Black women. Apparently, the former San Francisco 49er had some less than pleasant experiences doing so back in college that instilled a bias in him.

“My experiences with Black women growing up wasn’t so good,” Terrell Owens remarked. “When I started dating white girls- my first experience with white girls was when I went to college. I tried to date some Black girls when I was in college. They did not like me. I was skinny, I was scrawny, I was teased from high school even to college, I got teased for being dark-skinned. So there was a lot of self-esteem issues.
