Kaash Paige is one of many underrated multi-talents who bring tons of different sounds to her music. The Dallas, Texas singer and rapper definitely shares a lot of similarities with Travis Scott and Don Toliver. Those two are pioneers and major influences on the current style coming out of the Southwest. Dark, melodic, psychedelic, and atmospheric auto-tune-tinged cuts are the name of the game.

That is the vibe Kaash Paige is bringing to the table on her latest single “Superstar.” It is a hard flexing cut, as the 23-year-old is flaunting her expensive jewelry and rockstar lifestyle. The lyrics are somewhat reminiscent of Post Malone and 21 Savage’s mega hit “rockstar.” However, outside of that, this a Kaash Paige track the rest of the way.

Two of some of the most well-respected names in all of hip-hop, Talib Kweli and Madlib, are here with a “new single” “One For Biz.” We say “new single” because this song was actually released last year for the rapper and producer’s sequel record Liberation 2. Talib Kweli and Madlib made “One For Biz” as a tribute to the late and great Biz Markie. Their way of paying homage to the legend was through Q-Tip’s chorus.

Q put a spin on “Nobody Beats the Biz,” and it has been a popular track off of Liberation 2 ever since. The album got a release on a platform called Luminary, which is a subscription-based podcast network, according to HipHopDX. Talib Kweli, and everyone else here does a great job. Madlib especially gets a nod for his terrific and irresistible piano beat.

This comes two weeks after her initial comeback with “Like What (Freestyle).” That single has been a hit with fans so far, racking up over nine million views and still on the trending for music page on YouTube. With “Enough (Miami),” Cardi B is showcasing a similar formula, which is be undeniably confident. Like we said earlier, she has been rebuilding herself, so the energy both songs have been giving makes sense.

However, there is an even more aggressive fervor to Cardi’s track. The beat, crafted by OG Parker, Romano, and DJ SwanQo, is darker and punchier. Big Meech Might Be Out Of Jail Next Year After Sentence Reduction Bid

Big Meech, the co-founder of the Black Mafia Family (BMF), might get yet another sentence reduction in his 30-year stint, according to AllHipHop. Moreover, he and his legal team asked for another three-year reduction, one that he previously nabbed back in 2021, moving his scheduled release from May 2031 to May 2028. Meech faced conviction for money laundering and running a national crime enterprise, for which he received over $270 million in drug trade profits from the late 1990s until 2007. His previous reduction came after a reevaluation of drug quantity and chemical quantity across all related charges.

Furthermore, now Lil Meech’s father and his lawyer Brittany K. Barnett of the Burned Alive project think they deserve a step further. They motioned for another sentence reduction of three years, which if approved, would set Big Meech’s release date for May of 2025. In addition, their argument cited Section 18 582(c)(2) of the U.S. Criminal Code (U.S.C.), which states a judge can reduce a sentence if sentencing rules for their charges became more lenient after the conviction. This pairs with an April 2023 amendment which eliminates certain “criminal history status points” for select individuals with criminal history.

Specifically, it seems like this eliminates “status points” imposed during an individual’s sentence, and Barnett believes this amendment would strike at least two points off the former crime boss. As this law came into effect in November of 2023, they believe he is qualified for another reduction as outlined in the U.S.C. Big Meech has done a lot to change his image, outreach, and philosophy while in prison. For example, he contributed to many charity events in his community and wants to rebrand BMF under the “Build More Families” moniker for positive change.

“Notably, Federal Bureau of Prisons (B.O.P.) staff observed that ‘Flenory has displayed a dedication to remaining physically fit and has taken it upon himself to lead and teach exercise classes to other inmates,’” his lawyer remarked. “He also leads regular focus groups out of various self-help books and appears to [have] a positive mental health effect [on] other inmates.” We’ll see whether the court is compassionate to the “Power” critic’s efforts. JJ Redick On Zion Williamson: “He’s Still Not In Shape”

After a 133-89 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA’s In-Season Tournament, everyone’s got something to say about Zion Williamson. Moreover, many folks within the basketball world, whether it’s fans, commentators, analysts, or fellow players, criticized his 13-point, 3-rebound performance. While these are never easy critiques to handle as a professional athlete, many of them come from a place of love, admiration, and hope. Everyone knows how good Zion is, especially former teammates like JJ Redick, who expressed his thoughts on the matter on Friday’s (December 8) edition of NBA Today. During his remarks, he expressed belief in the fact that the young North Carolina forward has always faced these issues, but expressed even more hope that he can overcome them.

Cam’ron isn’t taking The Joe Budden Podcast‘s recent comments on him lightly at all. Moreover, for those unaware, the crew reacted to him and Ma$e’s story about having a threesome with a brothel sex worker back in the 1990s. During their discussion on that story, podcast co-host Melyssa Ford insinuated that there could’ve been underage girls at that establishment that they could’ve encountered. The rapper was obviously not happy at all, and had previously called out Ford and the podcast as a whole for making such claims. During a recent Instagram Live session on Thursday (December 7), he did not accept Ford’s apology for making those insinuations.

“First of all, I only like older b***hes,” Cam’ron expressed. “Second of all, it was 1992– we were underage! I just turned motherf***ing 16. Playboi Carti just announced I AM MUSIC; that’s the most important thing you need to know right now about this news. Is it a new album, a clothing line, a new tour to account for his rescheduled dates, or something else entirely? Well, we don’t know for sure, but that doesn’t make this development any less exciting. After all, we usually only get radio silence on this matter, and official social media posts from him are far better than random leaks, assumptions, or other hints we usually get. What’s more is that even Pharrell Williams shared this news on his pages, so we have more reason than ever to believe that another Christmas drop for the Whole Lotta Red superstar might be upon us.

However, we don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves yet; we can’t forget that this is Playboi Carti we’re talking about. This has been a common cycle in the media for years now, only amplified by the longer we wait for it. For many fans out there, they probably won’t believe it until they see new material on their preferred streaming service, but we can’t ignore that there’s some hope here. With other bizarre social media activity from him, though– one that had some fans thinking that he got hacked– we should take this with a grain of salt.

Furthermore, the inclusion of Pharrell into this equation is very interesting considering Playboi Carti’s past releases. For example, for the aforementioned album WLR, he brought on Kanye West as its executive producer. As such, maybe the Neptunes legend will be the producer and fashion icon at the helm of this next project, or he’s just simply as excited as we are. Either way, it certainly adds fuel to the speculative fire, especially with his own talk about having a lot of new music on the way.

Meanwhile, given past reports on Carti’s album being called Music, this adds to the likelihood that this is an official album announcement. Drake’s For All The Dogs is right around the corner, but we won’t just be twiddling our thumbs waiting for it. Moreover, the 6 God isn’t done feeding fan anticipation by teasing and revealing new things about the project. Even if a lot of that work is purely speculative, none of it’s stopped die-hards from theorizing on what to expect from the album. Most recently, the Toronto MC fueled rumors of another potential collab on it, apart from confirmed appearances from Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny. None other than rage superstar Yeat might just be one of Drizzy’s dogs based on recent social media activity.

Furthermore, Drake posted a picture on his Instagram Story of a Photoshopped image of him on Yeat’s body. The 36-year-old’s eyes are all that one can identify as his own in the picture, and this made fans think that he confirmed a team-up on wax. Not only is this exciting on its own, but it’s also kind of surprising considering their wildly different styles. However, this isn’t exactly out of the blue, as the two rappers previously made their bond quite public.

Drake Potentially Teases Yeat Collab

The biggest recent example of this was Drake’s Seattle shows for his It’s All A Blur tour with 21 S*vage. Yeat actually appeared during one of these, which added to previous rumors that the two were actually getting quite close. In fact, the OVO mogul even swapped some words around during his performance of “Sticky” to shout out the Portland native’s name onstage. Even if very few can imagine what a track between them would sound like, it’s at least nice to know that the mutual respect is there.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that one of Aubrey Graham’s social media posts sparked speculation on a collab with the “bigger then everything” star. Regardless, with the album so close, this sealed the deal in many fans’ eyes. If it doesn’t end up panning out, though, comments begging for them to make something together will never cease.
