KILLY Continues To Build Hype Around Himself On “ALL CAPS”

KILLY has been talked about a lot here on the website as of the past few months or so. Since late 2023, the Canadian multi-hyphenate has been consistently feeding his fanbase with a single here, a two-pack there, and even an EP. We just talked about him about two weeks ago with his record “GLEE.” Now, KILLY is back to keep up the pace with “ALL CAPS.”

All of this music has us wondering when KILLY is going to finally pull the trigger on releasing an album. He is always ready to drop stuff like POP 2 or K3. However, it has been two years since his last LP Crazy Life of Sin. What also makes this steady stream of material intriguing is that he is currently on an overseas tour.

It is taking place across Europe as he will be performing in Budapest today. As for the song, “ALL CAPS” is another song drenched in vocal effects. However, this one is doing a little too much and it just sounds a bit sloppy. But, it is good to see the incredible amount of support from his fans. “Killy been flooding lately, excited 4 his next project,” one person commented underneath the audio above.

Quotable Lyrics:

Left her in the past, don’t make a move, I’m coming back
Took her from my man, I made her c*m, no coming back
Asking for my name, told her, “KILLY, all caps”
Pull up Bruce Wayne, bullet proof the all black (Hello)
It’s Secret, Secret, Secret and you talking to the boss (Secret)
Wе gon’ make it even, еven if we take a loss (Yeah, yeah)

KILLY’s Auto-tuned Style Is All Over New Single “GLEE”

KILLY is always dropping atmospheric and grand auto-tuned bangers and he has another one for us today. The Toronto, Canadian’s style is definitely similar to that of Travis Scott, someone who is essentially the epitome of dark and psychedelic trap-flavored productions. The 26-year-old crooner dropped a new single back at the very beginning of February with “POP 2.” That then became a two-pack featuring an older track, “Life I Chose,” with Dom Corleo. There is no word if these two previous cuts will turn into a project of some kind. However, if we put our speculation goggles on for a second, that could be the case. We say that because KILLY is back with another one this month called “GLEE.”

Back in 2023, KILLY did drop an impressive but short project during the month of October. K3 featured some standout moments including “Cut Em Off,” “Same Energy,” and a collaboration with his late friend SEGA on “LOOK AT WHAT WE STARTED.” With “GLEE” you are getting very similar vibes from the aforementioned EP. The distorted and rumbling bass and screeching vocal lines are familiar but wavy.

KILLY Drops Off “POP 2” Along With “Life I Chose” As A Two-Pack

KILLY is someone who knows how to bring the vibes or the bangers. He can do that so effortlessly due to his melodic, auto-tuned voice. The Canadian rager has been impressing us, as well as fans with his recent steady flow of singles and short projects. His most recent of the latter dropped back in the middle of September 2023.

K3 featured standout performances on “LOOK WHAT WE STARTED” with his late friend SEGA, “Same Energy,” and “Cut Em Off.” Past that point, KILLY has also put out singles “Studio Freestyle,” as well as “Life I Chose.” The latter features fellow trap rapper Dom Corleo. Funny enough, that single is the lead track from his next project of the same name.

Who Is Opening Lil Tjay’s ‘Beat The Odds Tour?’

In just two days, Lil Tjay will launch the Beat The Odds Tour — his first since 2021, when he toured his second album, Destined 2 Win. Since then, he’s recovered after being shot seven times during a failed robbery attempt in New Jersey last June, and released his third studio album, 222, this July.

Tjay will be joined on this tour by a slew of artists, including frequent collaborator Fivio Foreign, Dej Loaf, and rising stars Skilla Baby, Joony, Dina Ayada, Killy, Lithe, and Karri. See below for more info about the Beat The Odds Tour openers.

Fivio Foreign

Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign is best known for his collaborations with late drill rap vanguard Pop Smoke, as well as high-profile collabs with the likes of Drake, Kanye West, Lil Baby, and Quavo. After being featured in the 2020 XXL Freshman Class, he released his debut album, B.I.B.L.E. in 2022, debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Dej Loaf

Blog era fave Dej Loaf first came to national prominence in 2014 with the release of her second mixtape, Sell Sole, and its single “Try Me.” She was signed to Columbia Records, but after years of delays, split from the label to independently release Sell Sole II in 2020. Since then, the Detroit native has made regular appearances as a coveted features artist for artists like Doe Boy and Tyla Yaweh.

Skilla Baby

Another Detroit rapper, Skill Baby is protege of Sada Baby, whose work ethic is every bit as uncompromising as his contemporaries like Babyface Ray and 42 Dugg. After releasing two projects in 2022, he followed up this year with the Controversy mixtape alongside fellow Motor City rapper Tee Grizzley.

Joony

Hailing from Maryland, Joony sing-raps over soulful and occasionally haunting beats, venting about life and relationships. He’s quite prolific; his latest album, Sh*tumss, dropped in May, just a year after his last, Pretty In Black. You can catch him on Tjay’s London, Birmingham, and Glasgow dates.

Dina Ayada

Dina Ayada is a rapper and singer from Morocco who has built an impressive following on moody songs like “Miles Away” and “Games.” There isn’t a whole lot of info about her yet, but she’s got an intriguing sound and a cool look that could lead to more growth in the future. She’s billed on the UK dates of the tour.

Killy

A Canadian rapper of mixed Bajan and Filipino heritage, he’s already gotten Drake’s attention, and released an impressive collection of projects in just the six short years since his debut in 2017. His latest, K3 is less than a week old as of this writing. He’ll be joining Tjay on his Canadian dates.

Lithe

When the tour swings around to Australia, local singer Lithe will join, performing popular tracks like “Lot Of Love,” “Pessimist,” and “Hold Out.”

Karri

The tour’s West Coast swing will see rising San Francisco R&B singer Karri tag along. His latest release is the four-song EP, Only U.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

KILLY’s “K3” Is A Tribute To His Late Friend SEGA

Canadian rapper, KILLY has had a little bit of an unheralded career up until this point. It is unfortunate because the 26-year-old really has some serious heat that not too many people have been able to hear. Sure, he has songs that have over 70 million streams, “No Sad No Bad” and Killamonjaro.” But other than that, the notoriety has never really really come his way. Of course, there are tons of talented artists from Canada like Drake, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, Tory Lanez, the list goes on forever.

But KILLY should be recognized more for his amazing abilities to create head-bobbing flows, sticky melodies, and ethereal productions. That is what he brings tenfold to his latest project, K3. It is a seven-track EP that is only 15 minutes long, but it leaves a lasting impression. On top of the irresistible tunes on this effort, this holds tremendous weight for KILLY. In an interview with Apple Music, he spoke candidly on the meaning behind K3.

Listen To K3 From KILLY

KILLY says, “Originally I wanted to make a project dedicated to SEGA.” Here, he is referring to his late friend and frequent collaborator. “I really wanted to take my time with it, because that’s what that subject deserves, and that’s what he deserves.” He addresses these feelings on songs like “LOOK AT WE STARTED” and “Mind.” To some, it might be surprising to know that Boi-1da has production credits on the orchestral and spine-chilling song “Same Energy.” Overall, this is a fun listen and you will leave with some songs to add to your playlists.

KILLY Is Living A “Crazy Life Of Sin” With Smiley & Doe Boy On New EP

Long-time fans of KILLY will be happy to know that the EP he planned to share back in 2020, Crazy Life of Sin, has finally been added to DSPs before we head into the new year. Across the eight-track project, the Canadian connects with both Doe Boy and Smiley while handling the rest of the titles on his own.

Previously released singles from the project include opening songs “Y?” and “Vince Carter” in collaboration with his fellow Canuck. Additionally, the 25-year-old dropped off “CEO” some time ago, setting the tone for what was to come.

Crazy Life of Sin actually arrived earlier this week. Since then, several new titles have been emerging as fan favourites. Among them are “Shot Caller,” “Telling Tales,” as well as the infectious “KILLY KILLY” with Doe Boy.

Other previously unheard additions include “Darkest Day,” and “Moment of Clarity Freestyle.”

As Complex notes, an impressive roster of producers aided KILLY in his latest endeavour. Boi-1da helped out with one of the EP’s first singles, and Oz, Jaegen, T99, and Y2K came through on other beats.

Seeing as he left fans waiting for nearly three years, the Toronto native has promised his listeners new music “every month of 2023.”

Speaking on his project in a press release, K said, “This [EP] means a lot to me because it represents my creative freedom… I recently got out of my deal with Epic Records, which opens up a new chapter that I’m excited for.”

“Although my time with the label had many positives, being independent allows me to be more hands-on with my ability to release music when and how I want to. Regaining my freedom and getting back to my independent roots are things I’m very grateful for.”

Stream KILLY’s finally released Crazy Life on Sin EP on Spotify or Apple Music below. Afterward, let us know what three tracks are your favourite in the comment section.
