Sheff G Released From Prison After Posting Bond

Sheff G returned to Instagram on Sunday (April 21) to share some heartening news for fans: following a gun possession case and an indictment against him, Sleepy Hallow, and many others on gang allegations, he is now once again a free man. “10 MILL BOND , 1.5 MILL CASH BAIL WAS THE TICKET‼,” he captioned his post. “BAIL PAID SAME DAY ARE YOU DUMB, SHEFF G BACK‼ NEW YORK. WE FUCKING LITTTTT THEY COUNTED ME OUT!! THEY THOUGHT I WAS DONE , PEACE AND LOVE TO YALL LOL. ( WINNERSCIRCLE IM W THE STARS BABY. YOU CAN COME AND EAT W US YOU AINT GOTTA STARVEE BABYYYYYYY #FREETHEGUYZ #BAILOUTBOYZZZZZ.”

Furthermore, the Flatbush drill MC also posted some proof of all this with some screenshots that attested to his $10 million bond and $1.5 million cash bail, posted the same day. In addition, this post also included some videos of his return, which see him in very good spirits all things considered. Overall, it’s heartening to see that Sheff G overcame this part of his life and career at least for now, and hopefully he and his associates stay out of trouble. This is true especially for other rappers, as he recently squashed beef with Nas EBK and Smooky MarGielaa, even performing together at Rikers.

Of course, Sheff G unfortunately faced a lot of accusations about his alleged involvement in gang activity. This is an issue that many folks historically attributed to New York drill, a scene that also has a tough time receiving the proper support and guidance due to this bias. Regardless, it’s unfortunately not something exclusive to rap. Some major changes well beyond the scope of music are necessary to improve the city’s socioeconomic conditions, incentivize good behavior, defend their freedom of speech, and prevent harm and violence as much as possible.

Meanwhile, this release follows that of Sleepy Hallow last year, one that Sheff anticipated by promising his own very soon after. After 14 months, that promise finally came true. We’ll see what these returns to the rap game and to everyday life look like moving forward, and wish them the best path possible. For more news and the latest updates on Sheff G, log back into HNHH.

Chance The Rapper Demands Justice For Young Thug, Slams “Circus” Trial

It’s no secret that Young Thug has been put through the wringer throughout his highly-publicized YSL RICO trial. According to Chance The Rapper, however, it’s time that they wrap it up. Earlier this week, the Chicago-born MC took to social media to share a post in honor of his own birthday. He opted to dedicate it to his friend behind bars. Chance made note of the seemingly never-ending antics of the ongoing trial, and expressed wishes for Young Thug to be allowed to go home to his family.

“For my birthday I just wish my brother was home with his family,” he wrote. “This circus of a trial has had him in custody for over a year and with all the legal errors, jury misconduct and conflicts of interest by the state he deserves to at the very least fight this from home.”

Chance The Rapper Dedicates His Birthday To Young Thug

Chance’s post also includes an old clip of him and Young Thug talking at what seems to be a festival, along with text reading, “Top 2 DOA [shrug emoji].” Sadly, it doesn’t appear as though the YSL co-founder will be sent home any time soon. Last month, it was even reported that due to prosecutors’ lengthy list of witnesses, it could continue well into 2027. Fortunately, the judge decided to shorten the list and remove various potential witnesses, including Lil Wayne.

Either way, Young Thug has seemed jaded during his latest court appearances, with a clip of the Atlanta native looking visibly irritated making its rounds online earlier this week. What do you think of Chance The Rapper’s recent post in support of Young Thug? Do you agree that the rapper should be allowed to finally go home to his family? Tory Lanez Update: Mario Reveals How He Was Doing Last Time They Spoke

Mario provided an update on Tory Lanez during an interview with Action Entertainment as the rapper is serving 10 years in prison for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. He says the two “spoke a few months ago,” and that he’s doing “good.” Lanez was found guilty of first-degree assault with a firearm, discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and having a concealed firearm in a vehicle back in 2023.

Elsewhere in the interview, Mario predicted that Lanez will have music ready to go when he gets out. “When he comes back out, he gon’ probably put another… he gon’ go crazy when he comes out. I already know,” he said. “You already know how Tory is. He gon’ go crazy with the music.” When someone off camera praised Lanez, Mario added: “He’s one of the greatest writers of our generation, as far as urban music… He’s a great storyteller. Tory is incredible. He’s fire.”

Mario previously came to Lanez’s defense ahead of his sentencing by pleading with the judge to be lenient in a letter. “My name is Mario Berrett, and I am a recording artist and business man. I am good friends with Tory Lanez and have known Tory for over seven years,” he wrote. “One of the things I love about Tory the most is how deeply he cares about his family… Growing up without a father, I admired that he was fortunate enough to grow up with his. Those conversations revealed how much of a standup person Tory is.”

R. Kelly Slams Diddy Sex Trafficking Investigation From Prison: “I Know What They Did”

Last week, Homeland Security raided two of Diddy’s mansions as part of a federal sex trafficking investigation, leaving the public in awe. Since then, the Bad Boy Records founder has been subject to even more scrutiny than usual, as countless social media users and peers share their reactions online. Most recently, R. Kelly even shared his thoughts on the debacle during a chat with Wack 100 on Clubhouse. He was critical of the investigation and others’ responses.

The sh*t is cr*zy. Motherf*ckers out there laughing and making comedian jokes and doing all the other sh*t on the radio and everything else, but they a** could be next,” he explained. “That’s what’s so f*cked up about. They so st*pid they don’t even realize the moves that’s going on. I don’t believe none of this sh*t. You could tell me about Puffy, you could about anybody. You could tell me on the news, the weather, the sky is blue, I’m not gonna believe the sh*t. Cause I’m in it now, and I know what they did.”

For those who don’t know, R. Kelly is currently in prison for crimes similar to those Diddy is accused of, including sex trafficking, lewd acts with a child, and more. R. Kelly isn’t the only inmate to weigh in Diddy’s allegations as of late, however. Another convicted felon, Suge Knight, also recently shared his take on the raids. “It’s a bad day for hip hop, for the culture, for Black people,” he said. “‘Cause when one look bad, we all look bad… That’s definitely nothing to cheer about. I’ll tell you what Puffy, your life is in danger… You know they’re gonna get you if they can.”

Diddy Could End Up “Dying In Prison,” Former Federal Prosecutor Speculates

In a shocking turn of events last week, it was revealed that two of Diddy’s mansions were raided by Homeland Security. Reportedly, the raids were conducted as part of a federal sex trafficking investigation. While the Bad Boy Records founder has not been charged with anything at the time of writing, the development has left the public in awe, and curious about what this could mean for the mogul’s future.

During a recent chat with Us Weekly, former U.S. prosecutor Neama Rahmani shared his take on Diddy’s legal drama. According to him, things could potentially end very badly for him. Moreover, he wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up behind bars with the likes of Jeffery Epstein and R. Kelly.

Cassie was with Diddy for a decade and she knew where the bodies were buried and she spilled it all out, and that encouraged other victims to come forward,” he explained. “Under federal law, if someone is convicted of even one count of sex trafficking, it carries a 10 or 15-year prison sentence minimum; the judge can’t go any lower for each count depending on the age of the victim… I wouldn’t be surprised if this is another Jeffery Epstein, R. Kelly type of case.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Diddy is arrested in the coming days or weeks,” Rahmani also added. “He’s going to have to face these charges. There’s no possible plea that is going to get him off with a slap on the wrist or probation. If prosecutors are successful, and they want to prove it, he may end up dying in prison.” What do you think of former U.S. prosecutor Neama Rahmani’s take on Diddy’s legal issues? B.G. Gets Arrested For Performing With Boosie Badazz

B.G. was finally released from prison a few months ago after a 12-year stay, but unfortunately, the performer could be going back soon. Earlier this week, his friend OG Freeze hopped online to share the news, revealing that it all stemmed from a recent reunion with Boosie Badazz. He joined the Louisiana-born artist for a show in Las Vegas this month.

“The man [has] come home, doing his little thing, he ain’t bothering nobody… Just trying to get his life back on track,” OG Freeze explained. “He ain’t doing nothing different than no other rapper.” Reportedly, one of the conditions of B.G.’s supervised release is that he must “obtain prior written approval” before self-employment, which he didn’t. B.G. is also barred from “associating unnecessarily with” convicted felons such as Boosie or Gucci Mane, whom he recently collaborated with on Choppers & Bricks.

OG Freeze Gives Fans An Update On B.G.

He was arrested for violating his parole on Wednesday (March 27), and released shortly after. He could spend even more time behind bars, however, as he has a federal court hearing to go over the violation in New Orleans scheduled sometime soon. OG Freeze isn’t the only one of B.G.’s friends coming to his defense following his arrest, however.

Boosie also recently hopped online to encourage fans to stand behind B.G. “I’mma need all my supporters, all rap supporters to get behind and try to stop what’s going on with B.G. These people are trying to lock B.G. up for rapping, bro,” he says in a clip. “This gotta stop, bro. We’ve got to fight for our people, bro… Wrong is wrong.”

Jadakiss Shares Message From Rikers Island After Visiting Inmates

It goes without saying that Jadakiss has a busy schedule, but that didn’t stop the New York-born performer from dedicating some time to those in need recently. Earlier this week, he took to Instagram to reveal that he stopped by Rikers Island to spend a day with the inmates living there. In a clip from the visit, Jadakiss explains how they all shared a meal together, shot some hoops, and more.

“We broke bread with the brothers, we ordered a plethora of cuts and slices, pies for the inmates to enjoy themselves and have some exotic pizzas,” he began. “We played ball with em, had a mind building session with em. Jadakiss Says His Visit Was Purely “From The Heart”

“We come in, we didn’t get paid, this ain’t from the White House, this is from the heart. We came in and did it real,” he said. This isn’t the first charitable act Jadakiss has taken part in as of late, however. Jadakiss has previously hosted various food drives, communal dining events, and more.

“You look around and you see Styles and you see Jadakiss,” Spano said in his speech. “They’re not the only two famous people to come out of Yonkers, but they’re the only famous people that continue to come back and give back to Yonkers. Let’s hear it for them.” What do you think of Jadakiss stopping by Rikers Island to visit the inmates? Do you think his visit made their day? Dr. Dre’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremony Has Suge Knight Seeking Flowers From Prison

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is made up of over 2,700 stars – several of them belonging to some of the biggest names in hip-hop. On Tuesday (March 19), Dr. Dre finally joined the ranks, proudly celebrating at a star-studded ceremony alongside Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, and other friends. “I’m incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years. Most of us have grown up together. And at nearly 60 years old, you’re still rocking with me, and I really appreciate that,” the former NWA member said during his speech.

“I’m nowhere near done. You better believe there’s a lot more coming,” the California native promised. “Pouring my whole soul and self into my passion for hip-hop led me on a pathway to an incredible career, and I’ve been fortunate enough to make a living doing exactly what I love to do.” While Dre and his contemporaries were obviously excited about the special occasion, criticism has been flying online due to the multi-talent’s troubling past with women.

Suge Knight Acknowledges Dr. Dre on His Big Day

One person who was unable to attend Dre’s ceremony was Suge Knight, who’s ineligible for parole until October 2034. Still, he made sure to commemorate the moment with a Twitter/X post demanding his flowers. “All you boys, [you’re] welcome!!! #DrDre #SnoopDogg #DJQuik,” the music executive wrote above a Getty Images screenshot from yesterday’s event. “And you contributed to this how??? Just asking,” someone wrote under Knight’s tweet, though he didn’t bother to give them a response.

As he continues to serve his 28-year sentence, Suge Knight is having no trouble getting his messages out to the public from behind bars. One of his latest viral stories is about Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Diddy, all of whom the former Death Row Records leader claims are in a “secret society.” Read what the “Gin N Juice” hitmaker had to say about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

R. Kelly Sues Prison Bureau For Seizing Of His Commissary Funds

R. Kelly is suing the United States government in an attempt to get his commissary funds back. The case stems from a March 2023 ruling, in which the Illinois Supreme Court decided Heather Williams was entitled to access the disgraced singer’s funds. “The defendant is appealing his conviction and the government’s seizure of his substantial Bureau of Prisons commissary account to satisfy the financial penalties imposed in the case,” an announcement of the lawsuit caught by HipHopDX reportedly read. Assistant United States Attorney Kayla Bensing will represent the United States in the matter.

Kelly has faced countless sexual misconduct allegations over the years. In 2021, he was convicted under the Mann Act and for racketeering while a year later, he was convicted for three child pornography charges and three charges of enticing a minor. Kelly’s currently serving a 31-year sentence at FCI Butner Medium I. He’s due for release on December 21, 2045, at the age of 78.

Back in January, Kelly claimed he wasn’t aware that he had lost a $10.5 million lawsuit back in August of 2023. He mentioned facing a high number of cases and switching legal teams as potential reasons for the slip up. In a statement, his attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, said to XXL: “We are absolutely pushing back on the $10.5 million default judgment that was entered against him without notice and without a sound legal justification. It would be simplistic and silly to write that the basis for our motion to vacate the windfall judgment relates solely to his illiteracy (although he is in fact functionally illiterate per formalized testing). The more significant problem is that there was no legal basis to enter the default judgment on the merits.”

Tory Lanez Is Set To Give Adin Ross His First Prison Interview

Tory Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020. Overall, his trial is one that a lot of people were keeping their eyes on. However, it didn’t go the way some people thought it would. There were those out there who thought there wasn’t enough evidence to convict Lanez on all three charges. Furthermore, there was this sense that a third party was actually responsible. In the end, Lanez went to prison, and his legal team is still trying to find ways to get him out.

Since heading into prison, Lanez has been fairly quiet. Aside from some musical releases here and there, he has not given any interviews. His fans are eager to hear from him, and it seems like Tory is more than aware of this. According to Adin Ross, Tory will be speaking to him soon, on stream for the world to see. In fact, Tory will be calling in via Zoom. “Yo chat, by the way, free my dawg Tory, man,” Adin began. “Adin x Tory Lanez stream — it’s going to be a Zoom call, chat.
