Jadakiss Shares Message From Rikers Island After Visiting Inmates

It goes without saying that Jadakiss has a busy schedule, but that didn’t stop the New York-born performer from dedicating some time to those in need recently. Earlier this week, he took to Instagram to reveal that he stopped by Rikers Island to spend a day with the inmates living there. In a clip from the visit, Jadakiss explains how they all shared a meal together, shot some hoops, and more.

“We broke bread with the brothers, we ordered a plethora of cuts and slices, pies for the inmates to enjoy themselves and have some exotic pizzas,” he began. “We played ball with em, had a mind building session with em. Ya’ll dudes talk about it, we here man.” Jadakiss also noted that he wasn’t paid for the visit, instead choosing to stop by out of the kindness of his heart.

“We come in, we didn’t get paid, this ain’t from the White House, this is from the heart. We came in and did it real,” he said. This isn’t the first charitable act Jadakiss has taken part in as of late, however. In November of last year, he and Styles P were honored by the mayor of Yonkers, Mike Spano, for giving back to the local community. Jadakiss has previously hosted various food drives, communal dining events, and more.

“You look around and you see Styles and you see Jadakiss,” Spano said in his speech. “They’re not the only two famous people to come out of Yonkers, but they’re the only famous people that continue to come back and give back to Yonkers. Amid her son Blueface’s current stint in jail for parole violations, Karlissa Saffold is trying her hardest to get him out. Moreover, she recently pleaded with Kim Kardashian to help advocate for his freedom, and of course shaded his on-and-off-again volatile boo Chrisean Rock in the process. However, the rapper’s mother is also making it clear that her support is not just on social media, but right there with him. TMZ caught up with her this week at Los Angeles’ Men’s Central Jail, where he’s currently held until at least this summer. Not only that, but Karlissa is already thinking about his future.

Furthermore, she reiterated one of her common sentiments that made headlines previously. Karlissa Saffold thinks Megan Thee Stallion should get with Blueface, and thinks she’d be the perfect partner for when he’s released. Unsurprisingly, she shaded the 27-year-old’s past partners who she thinks brought him down, and thinks the Houston MC is more his speed. His mother wants them to travel Europe together, and even brought up their compatible astrological signs as another proposed piece of evidence.

That’s off limits, that’s short man syndrome because that baby is bigger than Soulja Boy already! That’s why he’s mad. He wouldn’t say his gang affiliation on the internet, but he talking about kids. That’s just giving a m*dget on drugs.”

Tory Lanez Gets Prison Visit From His Son

Tory Lanez is still fighting to reverse his legal case from behind bars, but at least unfruitful and unwarranted endeavors found balance with family. Moreover, TMZ reports that his six-year-old son Kai recently visited him in prison for two weekends straight after not being able to spend the holidays together at all. Their alleged source is Ceasar McDowell, a member of the rapper and singer’s legal team and CEO of Unite The People, who spoke to the publication. For those unaware, Lanez is currently at California Correctional Institution Tehachapi and is about four months into his 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot.

Furthermore, an undisclosed family member took Kai to the facility, and Tory Lanez spoke to his son right upfront, not from behind a glass wall. They reportedly sat at a table for about 4-5 hours on Saturday and Sunday on both weekends and played board games, drew, and got some vending machine snacks. It wasn’t quite the extravagant meal that the Canadian artist got for Christmas, but surely a memorable and enjoyable bite nonetheless, especially with the world’s most important company. Apparently, McDowell relayed that Tory loved seeing his son after no holiday time, despite the fact that they communicate frequently regardless of physical interactions.

In fact, Tory Lanez showed Kai to the world quite often during his court case, as he took him to trial on various occasions throughout 2022. We all know how it turned out, and no matter which side you fall on with that debate, it’s still quite relevant and important to discuss and evaluate. He seems quite right, as new social media videos he shared show a beautiful day at the Caribbean island nation. Not only that, but the We The Best Music mogul took some time to pass through his frequent collaborator Rihanna’s childhood neighborhood. There, he spoke to locals and remarked how special it was to “breathe the same air” she breathed in her youth and witness where she flies kites. Overall, the New Orleans native seemed appreciative of the opportunity, and their history together indicates how much it means to him.

For example, this is what he had to say to Rihanna before her Super Bowl Halftime Show this year. “RiRi, I love you so much,” DJ Khaled told Page Six. “Congratulations in advance. Of course, Rihanna may be an international superstar, but she still has very strong ties to her home. Unfortunately, recent news around this is less heartening, as a cousin of hers recently passed away. But for the most part, the superstar singer is more prone to share the beautiful things to find within Barbados and represent it with much pride. She and her boo A$AP Rocky, plus their kids, have really enjoyed their vacations there, and luxuries aside, we wish her family the best amid this difficult time.

Drake’s Houston Strip Club Visit Marks His First Day As A City Resident

Drake had a massive 2023, but one of the big changes in his personal life overshadows much of his music success. Moreover, he recently bought a property in Houston, Texas, meaning that he can officially call H-Town his second home outside of Toronto, Canada. Apparently, this weekend marked the 6ix God’s first day as a resident; perhaps the official start of his ownership, or a move-in date? Regardless, we know one thing for sure: he was in the city looking for a good time. Furthermore, Drizzy hit up a strip club in the area to celebrate, and though we can’t see much, we’d imagine that he succeeded in finding one.

However, this isn’t the only exciting thing that Drake accomplished when it comes to his real estate or U.S. metropolis exploits. For example, he and his team will revive an old Hamburg theme park, Luna Luna, as an immersive art experience in Los Angeles. This will feature plenty of amazing artists, including giants like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dalí, Keith Haring, and many more. It’s one of the more creative extracurriculars we’ve seen in hip-hop in recent memory, so we’re very excited to see what it’s like as it opens up to the public in December.

As the year dies down, with this art theme park closing it out, Drake has a lot of success and accolades to look back on this year. Moreover, the NBA commentary star recently swung by Weezy’s house, which is far from the first time they’ve linked up in private settings. For example, the New Orleans rapper’s pregame for Rolling Loud Los Angeles this year was nothing other than a chat with Bayless at the former’s home. Given that Tunechi has often stopped by his show to talk about sports, and how they say they talk about so much more behind closed doors, this definitely won’t be the last time we see them together. However, recent news showed how their joint efforts to help out one of the most divisive NBA stars right now allegedly weren’t as well-received as they intended.

Fetty Wap’s Baby Mama Reflects On Taking Daughter On Prison Visit To See Him

Fetty Wap’s six-year prison sentence was a big shock to much of the hip-hop community, as he will remain in prison until at least 2028. For those unaware, the New Jersey MC received a five-year prison sentence on drug charges related to a smuggling operation in New York. While many fans lamented this development, no one in his life feels the brunt of this incarceration more than his immediate family. Moreover, his baby mama, actress and entrepreneur Masika Kalysha, spoke with The Neighborhood Talk about the arrest and their handling of it. Specifically, she reflected on the possibility of their young daughter accompanying her to visit him in prison, which she’s still hesitant about.

“You know, it is still taking a lot to get used to,” Masika Kalysha remarked concerning Fetty Wap. “It’s the new norm, which I’m not ready to accept that. You know, and it’s just… my daughter, she’s seven. So it really affects her. But we’re working with it, we’re working together, they communicate very often. We’re just trying to figure out the healthiest way to manage this until he comes home.”

Furthermore, the interviewer asked Kalysha whether she thought of taking their daughter to jail to see him in person in that environment. “Only a hundred times,” the actress replied. “You know, it’s a big difference from taking your daughter to sold-out arenas to see her dad than taking her to an institution like that. But, you know, at the end of the day, that’s still her dad. So we’re gonna make it work, and he’ll be home soon. DJ Khaled Reveals Doctor Visit After His Surfing Mishap

DJ Khaled apparently wants to be better safe than sorry when it comes to his recent viral fall from a surfboard. After that accident, the music mogul felt a lot of pain and had to pay a visit to the doctor’s office to make sure he was okay. It’s not clear exactly what went wrong or what aspect of his fall is making him worry about his health, but fortunately it doesn’t seem like he wants to risk anything. During his message to fans via Instagram, he let them know that he hadn’t been able to sleep for about 48 hours. That’s quite the serious side effect, and hopefully his next IG video will be one of assurance that everything’s back to normal.

“Guys, I’m getting an X-ray. I’m in pain, I’ve been in pain,” DJ Khaled expressed in the doctor’s office. “I got golf, golf and studio seven days a week. But I went surfing the other day and that fall, I was hoping it was just a bruised muscle or just a bruise. I just wanna make sure the bone ain’t broken, ’cause I been up 48 hours I haven’t slept. This morning I tried to explain to them that pain is high level.” Then, he said he needs this resolved quick in order to go back to “creating some incredible music.”

In fact, the We The Best Music head honcho has been going hard when it comes to golf. He launched his own We The Best Foundation Golf Classic, sponsored by Jordan and taking place at the Miami Beach Golf Club on July 20. All proceeds will fund the foundation’s efforts in arts-related projects, education outreach, and other missions. In a statement, DJ Khaled remarked how much the event meant to him and how it’s an extension of his love of the sport.

“Just to be out on the golf course with close friends and family of mine is a blessing,” he shared. “Giving back makes it even better.
