Skip Bayless Set To Team Up With This NBA Legend As Shannon Sharpe Continues To Obliterate Him In The Ratings

Skip Bayless made a huge mistake when he decided to get disrespectful with Shannon Sharpe. Overall, Skip did not know just how good he had it with the man. They had solid chemistry and every single episode of Undisputed was entertaining. However, Bayless ruined it and Sharpe decided to go elsewhere. Now, Sharpe and Stephen A. Smith have teamed up for monster ratings on First Take. Furthermore, Shannon has been doing huge numbers on YouTube with Club Shay Shay.

As for Undisputed, the show has been doing horrific numbers since Shannon left. Skip and his no-hosts haven’t been able to find their footing, and FS1 is scrambling. In fact, according to The New York Post, the show is looking to add an NBA legend into the mix. Yes, that’s right folks, Paul Pierce is going to be on Undisputed, or at least that is what the reports say. Pierce was great on ESPN and he is someone whose hot takes get people riled up. Simply put, he has the potential to be a ratings saver.

Skip Bayless x Paul Pierce

If the reports are indeed true, then Skip Bayless and FS1 are in luck. The NBA playoffs are coming up next month, and that is a huge time to capitalize on interest around the NBA. However, there is no telling if this would even work. Fans have already seen Undisputed without Sharpe, and by and large, they don’t like it. If this strategy does not work out for them, then Undisputed might have to say goodbye. As for Bayless, who knows what this means for his career?

Let us know what you think if this potential decision from FS1, in the comments section down below. Do you think this will work, or is Undisputed destined for failure at this point? Steve Stoute Shades Skip Bayless, Says He “Doesn’t Understand” Why Black Athletes Go On “Undisputed”

Steve Stoute took shots at Skip Bayless during his recent appearance on Club Shay Shay. “I watched your ex-host, Skip – I don’t even understand why all these other Black athletes even go on the show now. I don’t even understand what they’re doing. To me, it’s so clear that he needs Black talent, athletes, rappers. He’s doing everything to prop himself up. And I know he’s getting paid over there and everybody else is getting pennies on the dollar. I’m like, ‘Why would you do that!?’ He clearly isn’t the guy. He needs you. Why don’t everybody leave the show and let’s watch him do it for a minute. That show would be dead, immediately,” Stoute said.

After Sharpe’s sudden departure from Undisputed, Bayless hired Richard Sherman, Michael Irvin, and Keyshawn Johnson, and Lil Wayne as regular contributors. However, the overhaul has done nothing to improve the show’s viewership. Undisputed remains far behind First Take in terms of average daily viewers. Many have questioned just how long Fox will continue to try and win a war they have long since lost.

Steve Stoute Accuses Diddy Of 1999 Assault

Stoute has found himself in the news a lot recently. Stoute accused Diddy of assaulting him in 1999, per a report from Radar Online. According to Stoute, Diddy “attacked” him following a disagreement on the set of Nas‘ “Hate Me Now” video. Diddy reportedly had a change of heart about being nailed to a cross in the Jesus-themed video. Stoute objected to the change, given that the scene had been Diddy’s idea and Stoute had spent $14K to make it happen. Per the National Enquirer and a police report, Diddy and two bodyguards physically assaulted Stoute in his office after the scene was not removed.

“One minute I’m in the middle of a meeting. And the next minute I’m down on the floor and Puffy and his guys are kicking and pounding me. One of them picks up a chair and throws it at me. Then Puffy throws my desk over and they just walk out like nothing happened. My jaw and my head were all swollen. It was a traumatic experience, and in the middle of it, I didn’t know exactly how to feel. I was upset. Embarrassed. Scared. Angry. As far as I’m concerned, this was an attempt on my life. The only reason I’m not dead is because they missed,” Stoute told The Times. However, he later asked for the charges to be dropped after the rapper apologized.

Cam’ron Trolls Skip Bayless As “Complex” Ranks Him And Mase Higher On Sports Personalities List

Cam’ron took a shot at Skip Bayless after he and Ma$e were ranked higher than the Undisputed host on Complex‘s list of sports personalities. “Congrats 2 my big bros @stephenasmith and @shannonsharpe84 for securing the top spots!! And Thx @complex for the write up. Number 6 ain’t bad for our 9th month in business. And everyone before us is on TV.. we appreciate y’all!! Here’s some others on the list!! Hey skip!! Down there lol Yeah Murder!!! @rsvpmase @itiswhatitis_talk And thank you @underdogfantasy,” Cam’ron wrote on Instagram.

It Is What It Is has quickly become a fan-favorite sports show, despite the lack of sports expertise and it’s unorthodox home on YouTube. While there were rumblings earlier in the year that a major network was in talks to acquire the show, that does not appear to have come to pass. However, Cam’ron has been transparent about aiming high. His latest hints suggested that a major NBA legend will soon be joining the show’s main cast. It remains to be seen if that will still occur. However, It Is What It Is‘ star is shining bright and set to only shine brighter in 2024.

First Take Dominating Undisputed

However, losing out to Cam’ron and Ma$e isn’t the only thing that Bayless has had to deal with this week. According to Front Office Sports, over the last week of November and the first week of December, First Take averaged more than 5.5 times the viewership of Undisputed. Furthermore, November finished with the best monthly viewership figures in the 16-year history of First Take.

The gap between the two shows has only continued to grow over the second half of 2023. Despite a complete retooling, Undisputed has been unable to bounce back from losing Shannon Sharpe to ESPN back in June. No matter what Skip Bayless tries, including getting a live college commitment announcement on the show, nothing is helping close the gap with the Stephen A. Smith-led vehicle. Not even adding the likes of Lil Wayne has helped Undisputed catch up.

Cam’ron Takes Aim At Skip Bayless For “Using” Lil Wayne & Yella Beezy For Clout

Cam’ron is someone who does not mince words. Overall, this is especially true on his new sports talk show, It Is What It Is. He and Ma$e have renewed their friendship on this show, and it has been great to see. As you probably know, these two have taken aim at plenty of figures this season. However, they have a lot of respect because of these tactics. Fans love the show, and it will not be going away, anytime soon.

Recently, Cam decided to go after Skip Bayless while OJ Simpson was on the show. Essentially, Cam takes issue with the fact that Bayless seemingly “uses” black people to make himself appear cooler. For instance, he referenced the fact that Lil Wayne, Yella Beezy, and Bubba Dub have all been on the show. Cam feels like Skip is trying too hard and that if there is a show they should go on, it would be It Is What It Is.

Cam’ron Says His Peace

“Yo if anybody that’s popping on the Gram, social media — do not go up there for free cause them n**** is getting the bag, my n***a. They treating y’all like the NCAA in 1991, my n***… The name of their show, you ever see how it comes on, like the logo? It’s gold chains,” Cam explained. “Skip, get the fuck out of here with them gold chains bro. Yo stop man. You gotta stop bro. Yo Bubba Dub, Yella Beezy – like I said, I already know Wayne ain’t playing no games — stay the fuck away if y’all don’t get paid. That n***a using y’all for cool points ’cause he don’t know how to be cool.”

Skip and Wayne have been good friends for a minute now, so he would probably disagree with the sentiment. However, there is no doubt that Cam is making an interesting point. Do you think he’s right? Let us know in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latst news from around the sports world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

Michael Irvin Trolls Son For Rap Career: “You Grew Up In A Gated Community”

Michael Irvin called out his son during an appearance on Skip Bayless’ FS1 show, Undisputed, teasing him for pursuing a career in hip-hop. The NFL legend joked that his son grew up in a “gated community” and doesn’t know where his lyrics are coming from. Irvin’s son raps under the name “Tut Tarantino.”

“I got a son. He raps. His rap name is Tut Tarantino,” Irvin said. “If you ever listen to some of his raps. I’m like, ‘Oh my god. Where does this come from, son? You grew up in a gated community your whole life.’ But he’s rapping my life. Because we romanticize and fantasize about that old thug life, ghetto life, and all of that stuff. [W]e used to work to get away from [it]. Now, we’ve gotten to a place somehow where we’re running back towards it. In the music, in everything.”

It’s not the first time Irvin has spoken out in criticism of his son’s career choice. Appearing on The Dan Patrick Show back in 2019, Irvin revealed: “He raps about some of the hardest stuff in the world. I say to him, ‘Son, you grew up in a 20,000 square foot. gated community! Where does this stuff come from?’ I worked hard to get you out of this, and you’re rapping right back to it.” Check out Irvin’s latest comments on his son below.

Skip Bayless Ripped Apart For Racially Motivated Deion Sanders Question

Skip Bayless is someone who has put his foot in his mouth on countless occassions. Overall, he is still employed by FS1 and that probably will not change, anytime soon. After all, he is one of the biggest names at the network at this point. Sure, he ran Shannon Sharpe away from the network. However, his shows still bring in at least some ratings, compared to ESPN. Unfortunately for Skip, without Sharpe, Undisputed has become a huge mess, and fans are not loving it so far.

Recently, Skip has been all in on Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. Although the team lost its game against the Oregon Ducks on Saturday, Skip is still optimistic about their future. However, during today’s show, he took to Twitter to ask fans a question about Sanders’ team. As you will see, that question was a bit wild, and people were quick to let him know that. “Is Deion’s Colorado now Black America’s Team?” Bayless asked.

Skip Bayless Poses A Question

Overall, the responses to this question probably weren’t what Skip was looking for. The Undisputed host was looking for some real answers here. However, all he was left with was people asking him if he had gone crazy. Moreover, there were some who felt like this was actually a valid question. However, coming from someone like Skip Bayless, it just felt like a complete pander. Needless to say, Bayless might have to be a bit more calculated with his questions, and how he asks them.

Fans React

Unfortunately, it is these types of questions that have made Undisputed a shell of itself lately. With Sharpe enjoying a ton of success with First Take, Bayless’ reign may just be coming to an end. Let us know your thoughts on Bayless and his question, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Shannon Sharpe Claims He Nearly Hit Skip Bayless During Tom Brady Debate

While appearing on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Shannon Sharpe recalled a time in 2022 when he nearly came to physical blows with former co-host Skip Bayless. The moment came during an episode of Undisputed when Bayless took a jab at Sharpe about “having to stop at 35” in comparison to Tom Brady, who played well into his 40s. Despite being a seventh-round pick, Sharpe became one of the best tight ends in NFL history. He won three Super Bowls before he retired. Sharpe’s unamused reaction was a rare break in his demeanor on the show. He explained to Smith that he had to restrain himself from “putting his hands” on Bayless.

“Why would I be jealous of Tom Brady? I’m happy that Tom — Tom was like me, given an opportunity, he made the most of that opportunity. I think that was, in all of my TV career, I remember going home, calling my sister, I called my brother, my homeboy, everybody had told him, he raced home, he’d watch it. It took a lot. It took a lot for me not to put my hands on him, it actually did,” Sharpe said. Smith, whose show First Take Sharpe has since joined, joked he was thankful Sharpe didn’t resort to blows because it wouldn’t have gone well for Bayless.

Sharpe Helps First Take Pummel Undisputed In The Ratings

While Sharpe never came to physical blows with Sharpe, he has helped body Undisputed in the ratings. Figures from September between First Take and Undisputed show that the Shannon Sharpe Effect is very much a thing. Viewership figures from September 12 show that First Take received 717,000 viewers. By comparison, Undisputed received 118,000 viewers on the same day.

Furthermore, figures from earlier in the month show a similar trend. Even before Sharpe debuted on First Take on September 4, the numerical evidence was already there. When Undisputed came back from its summer hiatus, it premiered to an audience of 131,000. That dropped to 78,000 viewers by the middle of Undisputed‘s first week back on the air.

Lil Wayne Gives Skip Bayless A Deep Dive On “The Fix”

Lil Wayne gave his close friend Skip Bayless a deeper breakdown on his recently released mixtape. “The Fix is just a few songs to satisfy my fans because I love them so much. I just wanted to give them something before the actual album. Because we’re still getting clearances and things like that before we drop the actual album. They are songs off the album and songs I recorded specifically for it [The Fix],” Wayne told Bayless on Undisputed. The full album, Tha Carter VI, is due out later this year.

Wayne has had a weekly spot on Undisputed since the show came back from its summer hiatus. The rapper was the first new addition to the show announced by Bayless back in early August. He now does a handful of segments on Fridays, occasionally coming into the studio to chat with Bayless. Elsewhere, Wayne will perform at halftime during this Sunday’s Raiders game. The 1-1 Raiders host the 1-1 Steelers in a crucial early-season matchup for both teams.

Undisputed Ratings Continue To Tank

Despite the addition of Lil Wayne, Undisputed has continued to struggle in the ratings game. Throughout the month, First Take has completely dominated its Fox rival. Viewership figures from September 12 show that First Take received 717,000 viewers. By comparison, Undisputed, Sharpe’s former workplace, received 118,000 viewers on the same day. While First Take has always had an edge on Undisputed, the schism has grown substantially since Sharpe’s departure in June.

Furthermore, the Sharpe Effect appears to only be growing. Even before Sharpe debuted on First Take on September 4, the numerical evidence was already there. When Undisputed came back from its summer hiatus, it premiered to an audience of 131,000. That dropped to 78,000 viewers by the middle of Undisputed‘s first week back on the air. As Sharpe settles into his role at First Take, it’s likely that the gap is only going to continue to grow.

Lil Wayne Speaks On VMAs Performance For Hip-Hop’s 50th, Says He Was “Nervous”

Lil Wayne recently rocked the stage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards; in fact, he graced fans with two separate performances. One was a medley of one of his biggest contemporary hits, “Uproar,” and his new single “Kat Food.” However, the other saw the New Orleans MC join LL Cool J, Run-DMC, Nicki Minaj, and more legends of the game to celebrate hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. Not only was it a special moment for him, but one that also proves that, no matter how deep you are into your career, you can still get stage jitters. During his appearance on Undisputed with good friend Skip Bayless, Weezy recalled the experience.

“We did catch you the other night on the VMAs. You lit it up. How did it feel to you? You were among legends, but you are the legend of legends. What did it feel like on stage?” Skip Bayless asked. “Nervous as usual,” Lil Wayne answered. “Same way I feel as always, nervous. Had to open it up, so I just wanted to make sure I ain’t mess up. Hit every beat, make sure I was on point. Yeah, that’s what I was worried about.

Lil Wayne’s Nerves Didn’t Hamper His VMAs Performance

“Oh, yeah, I heard about that,” Lil Wayne said with a laugh when Bayless asked about Taylor Swift loving his performance of “Walk This Way” from the front row. “Just to be up there with those legends, I was like ‘What?’ Literally, Skip, as I’m up there and I could hear myself singing ‘Walk This Way’ that was unbelievable. To hear myself singing, and knowing who I’m up there with. No one else was singing the ‘Walk This Way’ part. No one else was singing it. When I heard it was just me, I was like ‘Yeah.’ I owned it, yeah.”

Meanwhile, Tunechi also made sure to keep feeding fans alongside his big shows, even if it was through a feature. He recently treated Nas and Hit-Boy’s sixth collaborative album in three years, Magic 3, to a feature verse on the track “Never Die.” All in all, there seem to be more reasons than ever to celebrate the Young Money mogul these days- and that’s never a bad thing. Skip Bayless Reveals Travis Hunter Suffered Lacerated Liver After Vicious Hit

Travis Hunter has been mesmerizing football fans so far this season, and for good reason. For those who may not know, Hunter is the superstar cornerback and wide receiver for the Colorado Buffaloes. In the first two games of the season, he played pretty well every snap on both sides of the ball. Overall, this kind of dual-threat player is seldom seen at any level. Although some feel like it won’t last, there are some who believe he can be a game-changer once he reaches the NFL level.

Unfortunately, Hunter was targeted on Saturday night in a win against the Colorado State Rams. He was hit late and overall, it was a crushing blow that sent him to the ground. When he got hit, he was writhing in pain and it was difficult to watch. Subsequently, he was taken out of the game and brought to the hospital. Fans have been expressing concern for him ever since. Today, Skip Bayless provided a crucial update on the young man.

Travis Hunter Is A Warrior

As you can see in the clip above, Bayless reveals that Hunter suffered a lacerated liver. Any sort of injury to a major organ is going to lead to caution and concern. Simply put, it was right to take him out of the game. Moreover, when it comes to his return, it will take three to four weeks for him to get right. This means he will not get to play against Oregon and USC, which are Colorado’s two most difficult games of the entire season. They are also the games where all eyes will be on Coach Prime and his squad.

It is safe to say right now that no one expects Colorado to make it through these next two games with an undefeated record. However, if they pull it off, it will contribute further to one of the best stories in college football. Let us know what you think of Colorado, in the comments section below.
