Amanda Seales is someone who never shies away from sharing her beliefs. The comedian, actress, dancer, and social justice advocate frequently weighs in on struggles the Black community faces. She’s also been a vocal critic of prominent Black spaces, accusing them of leaving her out and failing to recognize her for her work. While this has earned Seales a loyal fanbase, it’s also earned her a great deal of backlash. Regardless, she continues to speak her mind.
It was Seales’ outspokenness that made her the perfect guest to appear on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay this week, and as expected, the episode arrived with no shortage of interesting moments. At one point in the interview, for example, Seales recalled one of her first-ever encounters with racism. She detailed the troubling experience, which saw her get bullied and harassed by a group of non-Black peers as a child during a trip to Walt Disney World.
As Seales reflected on being called the N-word, being told she only got the opportunity because she’s Black, and more, Sharpe chimed in. “They’re kids,” he said, leaving Seales in a state of disbelief. “As a child, you never said anything derogatory? During the interview, GloRilla opened up to Shannon Sharpe about how Yo Gotti mentors her and his influence on her music. “One thing about me, I don’t record a lot,” she began. “Like if I don’t like a song I’mma scratch it, like the moment I write it and it’s not good, I’m not going to record or nothing. And so, like I could be in the studio for 10 hours, write two songs not like them and I won’t record. He just be telling me like ‘Record them, every song. Moving forward with the interview, the topic of criticism came up. When Shannon Sharpe asked about how she blocks all the noise, GloRilla revealed that she doesn’t. Instead, she listens to it and makes corrections. “The thing with me is, criticism I like it,” she said. “All my friends know when I talk to them, I’m the most blunt person they ever meet…Don’t lie to me like tell me criticism because when I go out in the public, they going to say it anyway. On Club Shay Shay, GloRilla opened up about her childhood days, especially living in a house with nine siblings. Being the eighth child herself, the rapper revealed that things were quite hard for her and her brothers and sisters. “Just imagine, it was a lot of us so we used to get on each other nerves and pick on each other and fight,” she said. “Well, we love each other at the end of the day though… We used to get whoopings.”
She also spoke about life being homeschooled, and the circumstances that led to her and her siblings enrolling in school. “Like every child got whoopings, but my sister didn’t,” she continued. “So, she used to call DCS on my mama and she was like, ‘my momma used to beat on us and we weren’t learning nothing in homeschool’ and all this stuff. And so, my mama had to put us in school after that.”

Speaking on how social media netizens held double standards, GloRilla explained to Shannon Sharpe her views and experiences with how the internet offers little grace for women compared to men. “They be hard on us. Social media be way harder on females than men you think,” she insisted. “So because a n***a can be ugly as hell but if he bumping, they don’t give a shit. ‘oh my God we love you.’ If they don’t like a certain part of your body, they think you too skinny, they think your feet too big or anything, they just going to talk about you all the time. Like they like, ‘oh you’re a female. You supposed to be perfect.’ They don’t hold men to the ‘being perfect’ standard. They hold women to that.”
During the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in February, GloRilla posed alongside Milwaukee Bucks All-Star point guard Damian Lillard and posted the photo on X (formerly Twitter). On Wednesday, April 3, GloRilla appeared on the latest episode of Club Shay Shay. Host Shannon Sharpe acknowledged GloRilla had “shot one of those Steph Curry shots” in the form of flirtation toward Dame and asked, “Did it go in?” GloRilla awkwardly giggled before expertly avoiding actually answering the question, saying, “The halfcourt shot? Host Shannon Sharpe asked for GloRilla’s reaction to James posting a video of him dancing and rapping along to her February single “Yeah Glo!” The Memphis rapper explained that she found out about it while getting a massage and noticing her phone “blow up” on the “little massage table” and initially blowing it off before finally looking and seeing that “everybody [was] calling me, like, ‘LeBron just posted your song!’”

Right at the start of 2024, Katt Williams set an utterly bizarre tone for the year. That began with his appearance on Club Shay Shay where he spent the entire time making one wild and completely unchecked claim after another. One of those that got the most attention were his claims about Ludacris and the Fast And Furious series. Williams claims he was offered a role in the series but came up with a shocking list of additional factors that played into his potential casting.
Ludacris did respond pretty quickly, both clapping back at some of the claims made against him and calling out Williams. But now he was asked about the comments from the interview during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club and took a more level-headed approach to his response. Those wondering about casting for the Fast And Furious role that ended up going to Ludacris got another hint from an interview last month. While Katt expressed his feelings towards fellow comedian Faizon, Sharpe attempted to come to his defense. Cue in the now-iconic response from Williams. Almost immediately, “you having an unnatural allegiance to losers” spread like wildfire, becoming a huge meme.
When Usher sat for the conversation with Shannon on Club Shay Shay, he revealed a litany of shocking missed opportunities in his career. He confessed that he, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, and Diddy were slated to form a group, but it never came through. Usher said he regretted the missed chance, admitting it was a project he wished had come to fruition. As if that wasn’t enough, Usher also disclosed that he had an opportunity to star in DreamGirls. He claimed that David Geffen had approached him for a role. Moreover, he was also propositioned by both Eddie Murphy and Brandy. The Club Shay Shay interview with comedian-actress Mo’Nique was filled with a barrage of bombshells. For the entirety of the two-hour and fifty-five-minute interview, she went into detail with big names in and out of Hollywood whom she butted heads with and even those she simply did not admire. One of these was Tiffany Haddish. She spoke about her ongoing conflicts with Haddish, who dissed Monique’s husband in a GQMagazine interview in 2018. She had some of the choicest words for Haddish, saying: “Tiffany, if you had a husband like mine, you may not have two DUIs. If you had a husband like mine, you may not be caught up in what looks like you could have been grooming a child.”
Mo’Nique then continued to shock Club Shay Shay’s audience when she called out Tyler Perry. She alleged that the media mogul spread damaging rumors that got her blackballed in the film industry years ago. Mo’Nique has famously been at loggerheads with Perry and Oprah Winfrey for over a decade now. She went as far as claiming to have evidence of Tyler Perry admitting to it in a voice recording she reportedly showed to Shannon off-camera. Needless to say, Mo’Nique’s time on Club Shay Shay went viral immediately.
Katt Williams Goes Off On Hollywood
The January 3rd interview of Katt Williams on Club Shay Shay has now amassed over 60 million views. During his interview with Shannon Sharpe, Katt Williams called out several personalities in the acting and comedy industry. He attacked Cedric the Entertainer for allegedly stealing his joke. Williams claimed that Cedric had praised the joke backstage but then incorporated it into his own routine during the Kings of Comedy tour. He took jabs at Steve Harvey for allegedly appropriating his story of experiencing homelessness. Furthermore, he famously tagged Kevin Hart as an “industry plant.”
Katt Williams then moved on to shocking allegations against prominent figures in the entertainment industry. He revealed that Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced film producer, once made an offer to perform oral sex on him in front of his agency representatives, although he declined the proposition. Williams also claimed that Chris Tucker had ties to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, dubbing him “Epstein Island Chris Tucker.” To round up, Williams brought up a familiar topic. He accused Ludacris of joining the Illuminati to secure his lucrative deal for the Fast & Furious movie franchise. These bombshell accusations demonstrated Williams’ willingness to expose alleged misconduct and corruption within the entertainment world, leaving no one untouched by his claims.
Dame Dash has fired back at music executive Steve Stoute for his recent comments with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay. Appearing on Friday’s episode of the Relate to Great podcast, Dame recalled smacking Stoute at the Roc-A-Fella offices.
“To be honest, I’m sick of these n***as. I’m sick of it because you would think that after a while n***as would leave you alone,” Dame said. “But this consistent thing where people feel comfortable saying that they’re going to do whatever they want to do or can do to keep me out of business, talk bad about me to other people you know come together and make a certain narrative and then get on TV and then have the nerve to speak on it…I’m sick of that s**t.”

From there, he explained that Stoue once owed him $18,000 and refused to pay him back. “I smacked him and s**t and I gave him an opportunity to have a fair one,” Dame recalled. “So like—pop!—smacked him. He asked me, he said, ‘Yo, did you just smack me?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, n***a and ain’t nothing between us but the wind.
