Charlamagne Tha God Goes Off On Kanye West, Reveals He’s Been Hating On Drake For Years

Charlamagne Tha God discussed Kanye West’s ongoing feud with Drake during the latest episode of The Breakfast Club. In doing so, he revealed the Vultures rapper has been hating on Drake for longer than fans may realize. In particular, he recalled one instance when Ye slammed Drake and Virgil Abloh during an interview years ago.

“Kanye West is the leader of the legion of lame,” Chalamagne began. “What a hating ass human. What type of man sits around and says we were all energized by the elimination of another man? This man is so miserable and has never dealt with whatever hurt and pain he’s feeling and he just wants to project it onto other people. I don’t even want Kendrick to respond no more. On ‘Like That,’ he clowned Drake and Cole for cliquing up. Don’t you be a part of the legion of lame, Kendrick. Future, you neither. Run from Kanye. Metro what are you doing? All of y’all should be running from Kanye West. Have you not read the 48 laws of power? Avoid the unhappy and the unlucky. You can die from somebody else’s misery. Kanye made the whole thing corny. It was entertaining until he brought his jealous, envious ass into the picture. So lame.”

Charlamagne continued: “By the way, he’s been hating on Drake. When I interviewed him back in the day when we was walking through the hills… he was hating on Drake and Virgil [Abloh] then, talking about they took the culture from him. And this is when he was up. This is when Yeezy when booming and he was still hating because he’s an unlucky, unhappy, hating ass human. We shouldn’t even give him no energy.” West discussed his issues with Drake during an appearance on Justin Laboy’s podcast, The Download, over the weekend. He explained that the “elimination of Drake” is energizing himself and others. He also shared a remix of Metro Boomin and Future’s song, “Like That,” on which he targets the Toronto rapper.

Since Beyonce first announced her plans to take over country music, the New Yorker has been on her neck, bashing both the Houston native and her husband, Jay-Z. In recent days, Banks has turned some of her attention toward another female starlet – Doechii – who some think is one of the “212” hitmaker’s “sons,” or someone who takes direct inspiration from their elder’s discography and overall aesthetic.

The drama made its way to The Breakfast Club this week, where hosts Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess Hilarious broke down what’s been happening. For his part, Tha God took a special interest in one comment from Doechii, teasing Banks for selling “bussy boy” soap online instead of sharing new music. Though he’s a straight, married man, the radio host was still keen to get his hands on some of the rap diva’s $7 hygiene products.

Even though she and Doechii have been in the news for their social media spat, Azealia Banks still has more energy to pour into feuding with other artists. Earlier this week, British pop singer Lily Allen felt the rap diva’s wrath after the former shared some negative thoughts about Beyonce’s COWBOY CARTER LP. Banks has made it known that her feelings about the genre-bending project are similar, but still, she doesn’t think that Allen is the right person to offer criticism to a Black woman. He has been able to host The Daily Show while also dabbling in late night. Although some people do not care for his takes, others love to watch him talk on various subjects. Last night, Charlamagne was given a whole lot to talk about as J Cole issued an apology to Kendrick Lamar. The apology was in relation to the diss track “7 Minute Drill.”

Throughout the morning, there have been numerous hot takes about the diss track. Most people are upset with Cole for deciding to end the feud before it even started. Additionally, some think that this is a sign that hip-hop is dying in terms of it being a competitive sport. However, Charlamagne Tha God has a different take on all of this. As you can see below, he is taking a very mature approach to the whole situation. Essentially, he doesn’t blame Cole for apologizing. In fact, he is praising him for knowing the error of his ways.

Ludacris Responds To Katt Williams’ Dubious Claims About Him

Right at the start of 2024, Katt Williams set an utterly bizarre tone for the year. That began with his appearance on Club Shay Shay where he spent the entire time making one wild and completely unchecked claim after another. One of those that got the most attention were his claims about Ludacris and the Fast And Furious series. Williams claims he was offered a role in the series but came up with a shocking list of additional factors that played into his potential casting.

Ludacris did respond pretty quickly, both clapping back at some of the claims made against him and calling out Williams. But now he was asked about the comments from the interview during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club and took a more level-headed approach to his response. First, he claims that he has no idea whether or not Williams was actually offered a role in the franchise. When asked about some of his stranger claims Luda is hardly even sure what to say. He describes the claims as so ridiculous he didn’t even know what Williams was saying and isn’t taking it too seriously because he’s a comedian. Those wondering about casting for the Fast And Furious role that ended up going to Ludacris got another hint from an interview last month. That came when Andre 3000 was doing an interview where he revealed that he also auditioned for the role. Andre ultimately thinks they made the right call. He describes not being “ready” to take on the challenge of acting in the franchise when asked follow-up questions.

Ludacris also made an appearance during Usher’s Super Bowl performance earlier this year. Candace Owens Raps “The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air” In Cringe-Filled “Breakfast Club” Appearance

Candace Owens tried to “prove her Blackness” by consenting to take a “Black Quiz” while appearing on The Breakfast Club this week. After being asked some softball middle-school civics questions, Owens was asked to rap the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Owens happily does so, providing the most cringe-worthy right-wing rap performance since Ben Shapiro. Owens, with her clipped New England pronunciation, sounds a lot like Parks & Rec protagonist Leslie Knope attempting to rap. If there are any positives to take out of this, it’s more ammo to make fun of Owens with. While the full clip has been included below, please be warned that it will ruin your morning.

Of course, Owens is exactly a fan of modern rap music. “I just don’t need to hear about Ice Spice’s farts, I just don’t. I don’t want to hear about it. We used to produce really good music and it’s gone down the drain. I think even that is international. I think it’s because it’s a part of the, ‘Let’s slowly make it modify the education systems so that Black people can’t read and, at the same time, feed them with a pipeline of garbage,’ and you will wake up one day, and what surrounds you will be garbage,” Owens ranted last week while speaking with Joe Budden.

Candace Owens Calls Lizzo “Problematic” And Accuses Her Of Gaslighting

Elsewhere, as part of her interview with Budden, Candace Owens called out Lizzo for gaslighting people. Owens’ issues with Lizzo stem from the response to Lizzo twerking her bare backside at an NBA game. Owens said she had the right to call out Lizzo’s behavior as “problematic”. However, she felt “gaslit” when Lizzo defended herself by saying that it was a “you problem” if you took issue with her behavior.

Of course, Lizzo twerking at an NBA game is the least of her “problematic” behaviors. After all, the singer is currently fighting a fairly nasty sexual harassment lawsuit. Furthermore, Owens is sort of the queen of telling people that their opposing viewpoints are “their problem”.

Nicki Minaj’s half-sister, Ming Luanli, wants to do a tell-all interview on The Breakfast Club and took to Instagram on Monday to voice her desire to do so. “Everyone wants me to speak,” she wrote. “I’m saving my interview for @breakfastclubam.” In another post on her Instagram Story, she added: “And also one more thing. I won’t be disrespected by anybody cause respect is always earned, and yes I do love my family let that be known too..all of them.”

The move comes as she’s begun her career in the music industry. She dropped her first-ever music video with a feature on Rakeem Love’s track, “Do It Again,” back on March 8. Fans have brought up her relationship to Nicki Minaj numerous times on social media since then. When one user asked about the lack of support from her big sister, Luanli fired back: “Did I ask for it?” She’s also remarked that she will “no longer be known as Nicki Minaj’s little sister.”

Luanli also recently addressed the beef between Nicki and Megan Thee Stallion. In doing so, she refused to take sides in the matter. “Whatever beef that’s going on, I really don’t give a f*ck for it,” Luanli said. “Like that got nothing to do with me. Donnell Rawlings & DJ Envy Butt Heads On “The Breakfast Club”

55-year-old Donnell Rawlings is a man who’s best known for being able to lighten the mood in virtually any room. Lately, however, the comedian’s been building a reputation for having a sharp tongue that lashes out at his critics – or anyone who tries to interrupt him, as DJ Envy learned on The Breakfast Club today (March 7). At one point on the show, Rawlings was chatting with co-host Jess Hilarious when he suddenly called out her colleague for breaking up their discussion about the tough competition in the world of comedy.

“I’m not talking to you, Envy. I’m talking to a comedian,” the father of one curtly said. “Do you want to do comedy? You can start like we did, you can do open mics. I know you have a platform and you think you can do anything,” Rawlings further lashed out at the media personality. Before long, the guest also referenced Envy’s infamous 2023 alleged real estate scam, making him feel even worse about the messy situation. “Do we interrupt car show promotions like this?” Rawlings asked.

Dee-1 Claims His Onstage “Passion” Reminded Afeni Shakur Of 2Pac

It’s no secret that Dee-1’s controversial comments don’t always sit right with the hip-hop community. According to him, however, his rapping skills put him up there with the best of them. During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, the Christian artist opened up about a run-in he claims to have had with 2Pac’s mother Afeni Shakur at a school talent show. He says the late activist’s encouragement filled him with enough confidence to move forward with his career, despite not having placed in the competition.

“The first time I did a show it was a talent show at LSU, and Ms. Afeni Shakur was at my school,” Dee-1 began. “I didn’t didn’t win first place, second place, or third place in that talent show. But when I got offstage, she was like, ‘Young brother, your passion on that microphone when I see you perform reminds me of my son.’”

He continued, revealing how Afeni’s praise made him believe that his talents weren’t going to waste. “When she told me that, I was like, ‘oh, I got something special,’” Dee-1 recalled. “Even if people not recognizing it in the moment, I got something special. 2Pac’s momma just told me that, you feel me? At that point I was like, ‘Alright, I know if I use this for the purpose it was designed for, it could be life-changing.‘”

While Afeni’s compliment encouraged Dee-1 to pursue his dreams, the performer encountered some serious obstacles down the road. Elsewhere in his interview, he revealed that his 2014 BET Cypher put him up against suicidal thoughts. “It started messing with me mentally to where I was like, ‘Damn, I kinda don’t even wanna be here no more,” he shared. Dee-1 Reflects On Having Suicidal Thoughts After BET Cypher

Dee-1 says he dealt with suicidal thoughts after his performance in the BET Cypher back in 2014. He explained on The Breakfast Club, Friday, that he was unsure he’d ever get another opportunity to showcase his skills.

“Right after that BET Cypher I started going to therapy, bro,” he shared. “I was signed to RCA at the time. You on the BET Cypher and you think your life about to change after this night…Nothing changed after that night. After that, I felt like I blew my shot. It started messing with me mentally to where I was like, ‘Damn, I kinda don’t even wanna be here no more. Not in the industry, but on this Earth…When I started realizing I was having suicidal thoughts behind feeling like I’m professionally a failure, I realized I couldn’t separate David from Dee-1 at that point. And that was unhealthy.”

Talking to my grandma, rest in peace, that ain’t cutting it at this point. So therapy really did help me, but ultimately even more than therapy was understanding my God given purpose. I know who my creator is, I know why I was put here, and I was put here to glorify him.
