Wildest Moments On Shannon Sharpe’s Podcast “Club Shay Shay”

Club Shay Shay has been ongoing for some time. However, it’s recently been receiving renewed attention, thanks to Katt Williams’s appearance at the top of the year. The famous podcast, led by Shannon Sharpe, has had a host of popular names on it. As a result, there’s been quite a few shocking reveals. While Kat Williams’s revelations have netted Sharpe some serious cash, Mo’Nique and Snoop Dogg are some the most recent names to go viral for their appearance on the show, there are several other people with equally significant moments.

”You Having An Unnatural Allegiance To Losers Is Not
Like You”

Perhaps the most viral moment from the entire Club Shay Shay guest list came from Katt Williams. While Katt expressed his feelings towards fellow comedian Faizon, Sharpe attempted to come to his defense. Cue in the now-iconic response from Williams. Almost immediately, “you having an unnatural allegiance to losers” spread like wildfire, becoming a huge meme.

Usher’s Missed Music Moments

When Usher sat for the conversation with Shannon on Club Shay Shay, he revealed a litany of shocking missed opportunities in his career. He confessed that he, Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams, and Diddy were slated to form a group, but it never came through. Usher said he regretted the missed chance, admitting it was a project he wished had come to fruition. As if that wasn’t enough, Usher also disclosed that he had an opportunity to star in DreamGirls. He claimed that David Geffen had approached him for a role. Moreover, he was also propositioned by both Eddie Murphy and Brandy. However, the plan still fell through, leaving us wondering what could have been.

Terry Crews Took Home $0 For Training Day

In a heartfelt interview with Shannon on Club Shay Shay, Terry Crews shared insights into his humble beginnings. Reflecting on his early struggles, Crews revealed that when he did Friday After Next with Katt Williams in 1999, he was mopping floors, while Williams was homeless and living in a trailer. He received $4,000 as his payment for starring in it. However, he disclosed that he received $0 for his role in Training Day. This was ultimately the biggest shock of the entire interview. Crews doesn’t seem to mind as much these days, as he believes it was all a stepping stone to greatness. Nonetheless, zero dollars for an Oscar-winning movie seems quite bizarre.

Mo’Nique Calls Out Tiffany Haddish

The Club Shay Shay interview with comedian-actress Mo’Nique was filled with a barrage of bombshells. For the entirety of the two-hour and fifty-five-minute interview, she went into detail with big names in and out of Hollywood whom she butted heads with and even those she simply did not admire. One of these was Tiffany Haddish. She spoke about her ongoing conflicts with Haddish, who dissed Monique’s husband in a GQ Magazine interview in 2018. She had some of the choicest words for Haddish, saying: “Tiffany, if you had a husband like mine, you may not have two DUIs. If you had a husband like mine, you may not be caught up in what looks like you could have been grooming a child.”

The Mo’Nique And Tyler Perry Saga Continues

Mo’Nique then continued to shock Club Shay Shay’s audience when she called out Tyler Perry. She alleged that the media mogul spread damaging rumors that got her blackballed in the film industry years ago. Mo’Nique has famously been at loggerheads with Perry and Oprah Winfrey for over a decade now. She went as far as claiming to have evidence of Tyler Perry admitting to it in a voice recording she reportedly showed to Shannon off-camera. Needless to say, Mo’Nique’s time on Club Shay Shay went viral immediately.

Katt Williams Goes Off On Hollywood

The January 3rd interview of Katt Williams on Club Shay Shay has now amassed over 60 million views. During his interview with Shannon Sharpe, Katt Williams called out several personalities in the acting and comedy industry. He attacked Cedric the Entertainer for allegedly stealing his joke. Williams claimed that Cedric had praised the joke backstage but then incorporated it into his own routine during the Kings of Comedy tour. He took jabs at Steve Harvey for allegedly appropriating his story of experiencing homelessness. Furthermore, he famously tagged Kevin Hart as an “industry plant.”

Katt Williams then moved on to shocking allegations against prominent figures in the entertainment industry. He revealed that Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced film producer, once made an offer to perform oral sex on him in front of his agency representatives, although he declined the proposition. Williams also claimed that Chris Tucker had ties to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, dubbing him “Epstein Island Chris Tucker.” To round up, Williams brought up a familiar topic. He accused Ludacris of joining the Illuminati to secure his lucrative deal for the Fast & Furious movie franchise. These bombshell accusations demonstrated Williams’ willingness to expose alleged misconduct and corruption within the entertainment world, leaving no one untouched by his claims.

Mo’Nique & Tyler Perry: Breaking Down Their Beef

Mo’Nique recently appeared on an episode of the podcast Club Shay Shay, for an explosive 3-hour-long conversation which saw the Precious actress airing out her grievances with numerous former collaborators. Following Katt Williams’s footsteps, Mo’Nique utilized the platform to take aim at the likes of D.L. Hughley, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, and reignite a years-old feud with Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry. Mo’Nique sparked her feud with Tyler Perry well over a decade ago, and despite occasional lulls, the conflict has never found a resolution. Here’s a look into what she said, and the origins of the age-old feud.

The Feud Began During The Precious Press Tour

After filming wrapped for the movie Precious, where Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry served as executive producers, Mo’Nique received a request to embark on a press tour to promote the film. The Original Queens of Comedy performer agreed to appear in promotional interviews and talk shows but refused to fly out to attend the Cannes Film Festival in France. Mo’Nique claims that producers urged her to promote the film at the prestigious event, though they explained that her appearance would be unpaid, as it was not part of her original contract for the film.

Mo’Nique refused to attend and later, issued a statement to The Hollywood Reporter expressing her frustration with the producers. “I’m doing a talk show, I’m doing a comedy tour,” she said. “I have a husband and I have babies. I have a little bit of downtime and I’m going to take advantage of it. So I’m not going anywhere because I’m not obligated to go anywhere. I’ve done my part.”

Mo’Nique Claims She Was Blackballed From The Industry

After Mo’Nique frustrated Tyler Perry and the other producers of Precious, she claims her career suffered, and they labeled her with the scarlet letter of being difficult to work with. In the years following the inception of this feud, Mo’Nique says Precious director Lee Daniels has personally expressed regret regarding the way producers have treated her. However, both Oprah and Tyler Perry have refused to publicly apologize.

Mo’Nique claims to have an audio recording of Tyler Perry, taken in 2022, in which the House Of Payne creator agrees to mend fences and admit his wrongdoings publicly, though Perry seems to have never followed through on that promise. During her Club Shay Shay appearance, Mo’Nique explained that she sent the audio recording to controversial civil rights leader Al Sharpton, who agreed to step in and mediate a public discussion between them.

The Beef Is Currently In A State Of Limbo

After speaking with Al Sharpton, Mo’Nique says she received radio silence from the reverend for over 6 months. “The next time we saw Al Sharpton, he was on a podium talking about ‘We don’t need to fly commercial, cuz we can fly Tyler Perry’s private jet.’ …that’s why maybe I’m not hearing back from him,” she explained during her Club Shay Shay. At this time, Tyler Perry has never publicly addressed the feud, or taken responsibility for the state of Mo’Nique’s career. Clearly, Mo’Nique is not ready to move on from the beef just yet, as she prepares to take her grievances on the road during Katt Williams’ Dark Matter tour.

Mo’nique Is Taking Her Son Shalon’s TikTok “In Stride,” She Claims At Event

Mo’Nique is still causing a social media and entertainment firestorm thanks to all her claims, responses, and grievances with her peers. Moreover, some like D.L. Hughley have already given up on trying to make amends with her, whereas others have yet to respond to her explosive comments as of late. However, one relationship that has been particularly difficult to witness amid all this is that with the stand-up comedian and actress’ eldest son Shalon. During a recent live event, which seemed to be part of the Katt Williams tour, she addressed these issues with the family once again.

“I’ll only apologize if I’ve done something wrong,” Mo’Nique began her remarks on her son Shalon’s critique of her parenting and alleged absence on TikTok. “But I ain’t no b***h that’s gon’ back up from a motherf***ing problem. I’ma walk straight to that motherf***er, and I’ma deal with that s**t. So today, I’m coming to the airport in New Jersey. It’s the realest n***as I’ve ever met from New Jersey. I’m coming to that motherf****ing airport, and I had just seen this motherf***ing TikTok. Of my goddamn son.

“Had I known… I’ma let y’all take that one,” Mo’Nique continued. “And when you see your child that you f***ed for… I f***ed for that n***a. Not another b***h, it was me. You see your motherf***ing child go on the goddamn Internet and tell people all the f**k that you’re not, you’re supposed to take that s**t in stride. And I’m taking that s**t in stride. I’m walking to the motherf***ing north airport, and this elderly woman comes up to me.

“She says, ‘Mo’Nique?’ I said, ‘Ma’am?’” she concludes. “‘Cause I’m a respectful b***h. Baby, I’ma respect this b***h, she old! She said, ‘Let me talk to you for a minute.’ So I had prepared myself for this old woman to tell me how f***ed up I was. I prepared myself to be respectful, but to check a b***h if I had to. I prepared myself!” For more news and the latest updates on Mo’Nique, log back into HNHH.

D.L. Hughley Says He Is Not Interested In Reconciliation With Mo’Nique

In the world of entertainment, conflicts and feuds often make headlines, but comedian and actor D.L. Hughley is choosing a different path. The veteran entertainer recently shared his perspective on his public feud with Oscar winner Mo’Nique, making it clear that he’s moving on and doesn’t feel the need to seek resolution. Furthermore, caught in New York City, D.L. Hughley was asked about the ongoing spat with Mo’Nique and whether he would consider a sit-down on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast to hash things out. The response was swift. Hughley is not interested in a reconciliation and seemingly has reservations about a potential conversation with Sharpe as well.

Moreover, the comedian emphasized that, as a grown-a** man, he doesn’t believe every disagreement requires a resolution. Hughley’s stance suggests a commitment to personal growth and maturity. Opting to let bygones be bygones rather than dwelling on past disputes. This approach echoes the sentiment that not all conflicts need a tidy conclusion, and sometimes moving forward is the best course of action. In the past, Hughley took the feud to a new level by mocking the comedian’s career, making fun of her weight. In addition, he revealed what he alleged to be numerous lies that Mo’Nique has shared with the public in recent years. Notably, he also criticized her Netflix special, deeming it “trash” and asserting that the stand-up comedy routine had garnered “the worst reviews of any Netflix special in history.”

D.L. Hughley Doubles Down On Mo’Nique Comments

Moreover, this move aligns with a broader trend in the entertainment industry, where individuals are increasingly recognizing the importance of personal growth and choosing to focus on positive aspects of their careers. Interestingly, D.L. Hughley’s disinterest in a potential sit-down on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast adds another layer to the story. Whether it’s a matter of personal preference or lingering grievances, Hughley’s refusal to engage in such a discussion sends a clear message about his priorities. D.L. told TMZ that he’s not backing down on a single word he said about Mo’Nique.

Furthermore, in a landscape often characterized by drama and public spats, D.L. Hughley’s decision to move on from the feud with Mo’Nique stands out as a testament to his maturity and commitment to personal well-being. In addition, this approach may inspire others to prioritize positivity and growth over ongoing conflicts in the public eye. What do you think of his viewpoint on the situation? Mo’Nique Posts Three-Year-Old Texts With Her Son Shalon, Fans Think She’s Going Too Far

Mo’Nique has continued to respond to her son Shalon’s claims of emotional neglect by posting text messages between the pair from 2020 and 2021. “HEY MY SWEET BABIES. HERE ARE THE RECEIPTS FROM A MOTHER WHO ALLEGEDLY DOES NOT LOVE HER SON. WE ARE SHARING THIS WITH YOU SHALON & THE COMMUNITY! SOME WILL COMPLETELY GET IT OTHERS WON’T. WE LOVE US 4REAL,” the comedian wrote on Instagram. However, the move hasn’t gone over well with some fans.

“Monique these texts are 3 years old most of which you’re missing his calls and never calling him back. Why is that?” one person asked. “As a mother of a young adult son- whom I often disagree with, I think it’s the ultimate violation to post intimate discussions between you and he. A group of people you do not know- do NOT need to know your son’s credit issues, the plans for their midwifery or what they ate for dinner. You do not have to do this and you do not owe anyone any more details than has already been given. Your son expressed that you have violated his boundaries as your child. He also expressed that you care more about fame than motherhood. Your posture and your response has dictated that he was correct in his assessment,” another fan wrote in a lengthy response.

Mo’Nique Delivers On Promised “Wait And See”

The texts come after Mo’Nique preached patience in her initial response to her son. Mo’Nique said she intended to let things “play out” in response to a scathing TikTok made by her eldest son, Shalon. In a three-minute response shared on social media, Mo’Nique preached patience while also addressing some of the specific claims made by her son. Furthermore, her father reminded Shalon of the help that Mo’Nique had provided for him when they last saw him “three years ago”.

Shalon had spoken at length on TikTok a few days prior about his experiences of emotional neglect while growing up. He had also pointed to his mother handing off problems to her father instead of addressing them herself. As a result, many commenters have pointed to her response as being proof of what Shalon had been saying in his original video. The comedian is currently the topic de jour after an explosive appearance on Club Shay Shay last week.

Shalon Jackson Blasts Mom Mo’Nique After “Club Shay Shay” Interview: Watch

Family feuds are among the messiest and most stressful that make it into the news cycle for celebrities. Currently, comedian Mo’Nique is feeling the heat after her firstborn, Shalon Jackson responded to her comments about parenting on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast. “I would like to free her from having to continue telling that lie,” he told viewers of his 10-minute TikTok video that details things from his perspective. To avoid being overcome by emotions or getting off track, Jackson wrote down his thoughts and read them out earlier this week.

“Faith without work is dead, and neither one of us cares to put forth any effort to reconcile with the other. We are separate as she put it because she doesn’t care to be my mother any more than I care to be her son,” the 34-year-old shared. Their relationship has come to a standstill, as neither is making moves to contact the other, Vibe notes. Additionally, Jackson is hurt that his mother’s new husband, known to her as “Daddy,” doesn’t acknowledge him.

Getting ahead of any critics, Mo’s son noted, “Responding this way allows me to say my peace uninterrupted. To all those wondering, why say something now? Call it a form of therapy.” While they don’t have active communication, Jackson did confirm that his family matriarch admitted to not doing her best work in raising him. “My mother does a fantastic job of acknowledging a lot of things, but she doesn’t take accountability very well and anything that she may take true accountability for is only at her convenience in my experience.”

As with virtually everyone who’s appeared on Club Shay Shay this year, Mo’Nique has been making headlines non-stop since her interview first aired. Among those she upset with her comments is D.L. Hughley, who she’s been going back and forth with online over the past few days. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more music/pop culture news updates.

Why Mo’Nique & D.L. Hughley Are At Odds

Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast has continued in recent weeks to garner a reputation for being the premiere platform for comedians and public figures to air their grievances and double down on their public feuds. Last week, comedian and actress Mo’Nique joined the pod, delivering a few scathing takes about Oprah, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Tyler Perry, and others. However, the biggest bombshell dropped on the appearance was Mo’Nique’s opinion of Kings of Comedy comedian D.L. Hughley, escalating a dispute that dates back to 2022.

The Beef Began Over A Contract Dispute

According to Mo’Nique, D.L. Hughley has been speaking negatively about her for years, though their actual feud began during a 2022 stand-up comedy performance in Detroit, Michigan. Apparently, both Mo’Nique and D.L. Hughley had listed in their contracts that they were to headline the event, and neither party would agree to go on stage before the other. While some comedians could have simply swallowed their pride and accepted the terms of the stalemate, Mo’Nique and D.L. Hughley took the spat to social media, where things became far more heated and personal.

So personal, in fact, that Mo’Nique called out Hughley for not publicly naming the person who sexually assaulted his daughter, Ryan Nicole Shepard. Hughley has spoken about the assault publicly in the past and explained that he had trouble believing his daughter at first because the alleged abuser was someone he trusted and respected. After the heated exchange, both parties seemed to put the beef to rest for a time, and though they never truly reconciled, it appeared as though the feud was over.

Monique’s Comments Reignited The Rivalry

During her Club Shay Shay appearance, Mo’Nique discussed an incident in which she appeared on D.L. Hughley’s radio show (without the King of Comedy star present) and became offended at the line of questioning she received during a segment of “Would You Rather.” According to Mo’Nique, she had a personal discussion with Hughley after the event in which the comedian was incredibly dismissive of her grievances. D.L. Hughley denies being dismissive of her, as he agreed to pull the entire “Would You Rather” segment, which is still not available for the public to hear to this day.

D.L. Hughley Responded In A Fiery Social Media Post

After the Club Shay Shay appearance, D.L. Hughley responded to Mo’Nique’s comments via Instagram. In the explosive video, Hughley mocked the comedian’s career, made fun of her weight, and exposed several alleged lies that Mo’Nique has told to the public in recent years. He also called her Netflix special “trash” and claimed that the stand-up comedy routine “got the worst reviews of any Netflix special in history.”

Since then, the pair have continued to fire shots back and forth at one another through social media, with no sign of an end in sight. Mo’Nique will likely continue to drag the feud out in public as promotion for her upcoming stint on Katt Williams’ Dark Matter tour, which she is poised to join later this month.

As for Oprah, she says the mogul has “stolen” at least two film roles from her. Even before the interview was released, fans were drawing comparisons between Mo’Nique and Katt Williams, whose similarly explosive Club Shay Shay appearance went viral last month.
