Cash Cobain Claims That Drake Reference Track Is AI Generated

Cash Cobain is the latest artist to get dragged into the Drake wars. A reference track for the Drake song “Calling For You” has leaked online with Cobain rapping the lead vocal. Cobain was listed on the official track as a co-producer, but the leak suggests that the artist also had a bigger hand in the songwriting. This is the second time a Drake reference has leaked in the last week, with the first being “Jumbotron S**t Poppin.” It looks like the “Calling For You” diss may be a fake, however.

Cobain posted an image of Allen Iverson to his IG and Twitter on April 16. There was no mention of the leak, but it didn’t take much for fans to tie the image of Iverson in to the reference track. Iverson is known for his fake behind the back move, so Cobain is confirming that the leaked “Calling For You” is phony. Cobain and Drake are friends, and Cobain has even championed the Canadian rapper during interviews. “Don’t think Drake not tuned in,” he said on TikTok. “He definitely tuned in. Especially with the New York sound. I feel like every sound he tuned in with.”

Cash Cobain Shut Down The Leak With An Allen Iverson Photo

Drake has been hounded by reference track allegations for a decade. The rapper’s pen game has been a talking point ever since Quentin Miller’s reference for “10 Bands” leaked in 2015. He addressed the issue during a profile in The Fader, claiming that it does not reflect a lack of involvement in the writing process. “I need, sometimes, individuals to spark an idea so that I can take off running,” he stated. “I don’t mind that. And those recordings—they are what they are. And you can use your own judgment on what they mean to you. I don’t know if I’m really here to even clarify it for you.”

Despite Drake’s clarification, the ghostwriting rumors persist. Rick Ross recently implied that he wrote Drake’s verse on the 2018 smash “Sicko Mode.” The MMG honcho also stated that Drake uses writers when posting comments and insults on social media. The latter claim was made after Drake posted a screenshot of a DM exchange in which he mocked Ross’ (lack of) wealth.

Drake’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?’ Creepy Dog-Like Mascot Has Users Online Hysterically Howling

Drake’s latest album, For All The Dogs, serves as a witty double entendre. Not only is the body of work dedicated to the “Rich Baby Daddy” rapper’s male companions, but it is also a manifesto to those who had ever been called ‘a dog’ in past romantic relationships. But it looks like there’s a third component to the project.

Yesterday (March 9), a fan revealed that the musician might’ve introduced a dog-like mascot. During Drake’s recent It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What? stop, he was joined on stage with a furry figure. Many attendees assumed that the faux wolf was, in fact, a robot. But a concertgoer took to TikTok to reveal that their friend was tasked with dressing up in the costume each night.

Drake isn’t the first rapper to introduce a mascot for an album. Early in Kanye West’s career, each album featured his now-infamous Dropout Bear (more commonly referred to by fans as the Graduation-era bear).

The fan took the moment to TikTok, captioning, “POV: Drake finally acknowledges you at your 5th show.”

In a live response, Drake said, “That’s a crazy sign by the way” before asking what song. The answer from the fan was “Virginia Beach.”

Kevin Durant Details A&R Role On Drake’s “For All The Dogs”

Kevin Durant has detailed what he provided for Drake to land an A&R credit on the rapper’s latest album, For All The Dogs. Speaking with reporters during the NBA All-Star break, the Phoenix Suns star revealed that he is always there for Drake to speak about life.

“Whenever Drake just wants to talk about life I’m there for him and he just gave me that title,” Durant explained. He also confirmed that he doesn’t plan on dropping an album of his own. “I doubt I have an album dropping, I just do it for fun,” he said.

Drake and Durant have had a relationship for years at this point. The Toronto rapper has shouted him out on multiple songs, including “Weston Road Flows.” He raps: “A lot of people just hit me up when my name is mentioned / Shout out to KD, we relate, we get the same attention / It’s rainin’ money, Oklahoma City Thunder.” The questions about releasing an album come after Durant teamed up with Stalley for a feature on his latest single, “Scared Money.” Check out Durant’s comments on working with Drake as well as his own music below.

Kevin Durant On His Hip-Hop Career

While Durant is in Indianapolis for the All-Star game, Drake has been traveling the country on his and J. Cole’s It’s All a Blur — Big as the What? Tour. He most recently made headlines for giving out $50,000 to a fan in Pittsburgh on Friday who had beaten cancer. He’ll be performing on the tour through April. Drake Becomes Sexyy Red’s ‘Rich Baby Daddy’ In Their New VHS-Style Video That’s A Throwback Slice Of Life

Sexyy Red gave birth recently, and she, Drake, and SZA decided to make that the foundation for their new “Rich Baby Daddy” video that dropped last night (February 14).

The Drake-directed clip starts with himself behind the camcorder, showing off his suburban neighborhood before heading inside to his pregnant wife, Red. The music kicks in at around 45 seconds and shows Drake, Sexyy, and SZA enjoying a holiday celebration in their humble home. The music cuts back out at 2:17 into the video, when Red shouts at Drake from across the house, letting him know that her water broke.

The music returns as the three head to the hospital, where the video shifts away from its VHS style and starts looking more modern, as Sexyy gives birth and friends and family celebrate the new arrival. Before the video ends, we see footage from after Red’s actual, real-life childbirth, as she holds her baby and on-screen text reads, “Congratulations Red!!! We Love You.”

Speaking of hospitals, at a recent St. Louis concert, Drake offered to pay for a fan’s upcoming operation, saying from the stage, “You got a sign out that says, ‘Please help me with my surgery.’ I don’t know what kind of surgery you need, sir. I really don’t, but I’ma let you know: From me to you, St. Louis love, we gonna take care of whatever the surgery is.”

Kanye West & Drake Fans Debate North & Adonis’ Performances On Their LPs

Kanye West and Drake may not have the closest or most amicable relationship these days, but they do have one unique thing in common. Both superstars included a track on their most recent LPs (Vultures and For All The Dogs, specifically) on which their children have a chance to spit some bars. North West takes the mic on “Talking,” whereas Adonis Graham has a throwback verse over some boom-bap, Cypress Hill-esque beats on “Daylight.” In fact, North recently made her Global Spotify Charts debut with this new track, and we all know how successful FATD was. Now the question is, which protégé did it better?

That’s what a lot of fans jokingly debated online, especially after news of North West’s commercial success hit. “adonis gonna run a diss track,” one fan commented under the post below, with another adding, “Kanye’s Daughter > Drakes Son.” However, folks also pointed out that Kanye West and Drake are not the first ones to do this. “Travis featured Stormi now errbody wanna ft their own kid….” one user pointed out. Both child performances are pretty different, though, so maybe “Talking” and “Daylight” can’t even be compared in this regard.

Fans Choose Between North West & Adonis Amid Kanye West’s Vultures Success: See Comments

Of course, this is all just adding to the monstrous hype and discussion around Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s finally released collab album, Vultures. Ye claims that it’s number one in 72 countries including Israel, and we’ll see next week how this chart performance translates into sales and acclaim. This is obviously a very difficult beast to tackle given the Chicago artist’s rampant antisemitism, but most folks already separated that from this rollout. Even though he made it pretty impossible, they are still (disappointingly) mutually exclusive things in folks’ minds.

Meanwhile, the 6ix God is busy on his Big As The What? tour with J. Cole right now, having a lot of fun with the Dreamville MC. He probably won’t drop something new for a while, so maybe we won’t get an Adonis verse for quite some time. But maybe this is when he and North West kick off their solo careers. On that note, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake and Kanye West.

Drake Joins The Viral ‘Tripod Bro’ Trend By Creating A Video To Show Off His Bartending Skills And Self-Care Routine

According to Yasiin Bey, Drake’s music is ideal for a shopping trip to your local Target. Although the “Needle” rapper vehemently disagrees with Bey’s take, that didn’t stop him from leaning into the ambient qualities of his latest album, For All The Dogs.

On January 20, Drake called a temporary cease-fire on his beef with Metro Boomin to join in on the viral tripod bro trend overtaking social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The online movement allows male content creators to take their followers along as they prepare for the day, run errands, and knock out self-care routines. In Drake’s video, he pulled inspiration from influencer Drew Walls (who so happens to feature Target runs on his platforms).

The clip was captioned: “Drew Walls, you tweaking my boi…got me on my bullsh*t.” It shows Drake flexing his top-shelf bartending skills, aqua fitness routine, and wind-down process.

Using his song “Virginia Beach” as the vlog’s background track, Drake’s humor was not lost on his followers. Not only are they here for “Sassy Drizzy,” but they are now demanding that he create another vlog, this time at Target.

For All The Dogs is out now via OVO Sound/Republic Records. Find out more information here.

Was Nicki Minaj’s ‘Needle’ Supposed To Be On Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs?’

In the leadup to the release of Drake and Nicki Minaj’s respective albums, fans couldn’t help speculating whether the two Young Money artists would reunite after years of not quite collaborating with each other. In September, Nicki herself wondered aloud whether she would appear on For All The Dogs while confirming that he would show up on Pink Friday 2. While he did join her on the PF2 track “Needle,” Nicki didn’t land a spot on For All The Dogs.

In her new interview with Ebro Darden, Nicki added a new wrinkle to the tale, revealing that “Needle” was initially intended for Drake’s album. Addressing the disappointment from fans surrounding the duo only putting out one new collab, Nicki said, “He told the fans on his tour that I was gonna be on his album, and actually the song he was talking about was ‘Needle.’ But, he ended up feeling like sonically, it didn’t match for For All The Dogs and I from day one felt like it matched Pink Friday 2.”

She says she joked around with some of her friends that something would end up happening that would allow her to keep the song for herself — and it turned out she was right. “It was just God’s timing,” she said, nodding to fans’ disappointment and crediting it to neither artist announcing the change. On the bright side, though, as she points out, “It’s the perfect Drake and Nicki song!” You can check out Nicki’s full interview with Ebro below:

Drake Shares His First New Year’s Thoughts After Being Named Most Streamed Rapper Of 2023

Drake has been collecting so many commercial accolades for so long that it isn’t even a surprise anymore when he does something amazing. This time, he achieved a pretty substantial Spotify milestone. Right at the end of 2023, the platform named him as their most-streamed rap artist of 2023. Drizzy’s entire discography racked up an absolutely stunning 17.6 billion streams in the 12 months of 2023. Only three artists in the world had more streams on Spotify last year, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny.

Drake also rang in the new year by sharing his first thoughts of 2024 on social media. “First thought for 2024: I’m not your emotional support dog,” the rapper captioned a bizarre new Instagram post. The post is likely a reference to his new album For All The Dogs which deploys canine imagery in the lyrics a handful of times throughout the project. The caption is attached to a very surreal series of seemingly unrelated pictures making up the post itself. Check out the strange Instagram post below.

Drake Is Still For All The Dogs

Following the release of For All The Dogs, Drake claimed that he was going on a hiatus from releasing new music. He’s dropped at least one project every year dating back to 2019 so it’s no surprise that he’s looking for a break. But before he could even get started on his hiatus he shared an extended version of his new album. The new version featured Scary Hours 3, a six-track EP of new material.

Last month, Drake shared a new music video for the closing track and breakthrough hit of the EP. The song is called “You Broke My Heart” and features some of the most notable lyrical callouts and references on the project. He found himself in some pretty hot water following the release of the music video though. That’s because it features a cameo appearance from controversial country singer Morgan Wallen. What do you think of Drake’s bizarre new Instagram post? Are you surprised that he’s once again the most streamed rapper of the year on Spotify? Let us know in the comment section below.

SZA Clarifies “Rich Baby Daddy” Lyrics, Once And For All

SZA and Drake made some great music together this year. Overall, they had the track “Slime You Out” and they also came through with “Rich Baby Daddy.” The latter of these two tracks also came with a feature from none other than Sexyy Red. It was easily one of the best tracks of the entire album, and fans are still bumping it right now. That said the lyrics to the song have been disputed, especially as it pertains to SZA. Luckily, she now has an explanation for all of us.

According to Uproxx, SZA was on her IG story where she explained that she was dealing with a cold while recording the track. This made it so that her lyrics weren’t as clear. Although she explained the situation to Drizzy, he was more than happy to include the verse anyway. “Y’all lmao I was sick w a fever n couldnt breathe when I recorded this and told @champagnepapi no one would understand me n I sound crazy. He said noooo ur fine anyways here’s the lyrics to RBD once n for all,” SZA wrote on social media.

SZA Delivered A Great Verse

SZA then had this message as it pertains to the lyrics at hand: “‘You been so good and you deserve to end your suffering, I need good dick n conversation can you comfort me. I got a feeling this is more than what we both say I got a feeling this is more than feelings. I can’t let you get away .. feels good but it can’t be love . Ain’t a damn thing that I’d do ! Ain’t a damn thing oooooo’ just in case lmao love y’all.” It is always cool when artists provide this kind of context. Ultimately, it adds a whole new layer to the art.
