Drake & J. Cole’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ Surprise Performance Might’ve Just Kicked Off The Duo’s Next Collaboration

The It’s All A Blur Tour with Drake and 21 Savage has been filled with a few uncomfortable onstage moments, including a huge floating sperm appearing in the concert’s displayed visuals to Drake being pelted with objects while performing. However, it’s also offered a wealth of information about the “Search & Rescue” rapper’s next moves.

After he brought out fellow rapper J. Cole for a surprise performance in Montreal, Drake had one special request for the Dreamville boss. While praising him for his dedication to the hip-hop culture, Drake had one special request for his friend: “Hopefully, there’s an album? Hopefully, there’s an album I can actually get on.”

Cole tried not to let anything details slip, so Drake tried again, this time flat-out asking, “Can I get on the album? I’m going to ask in front of Montreal. Can we get on your album?”

Cole thunderously replied, “Say less, goddammit!”

Before Cole left the stage, Drake showered him with one more round of compliments. “Montreal, I want you to understand something. It takes someone that not really only loves the art of this shit but really loves all of you to get on a plane to come here for two nights and represent for Montreal,” proclaimed the entertainer.

J. Cole hasn’t shared any details about his next album’s release. However, if the collaboration with Drake does come to fruition, it will make the duo’s first collaborative track since the 2021 song “Pipe Down” off of Drake’s album Certified Lover Boy.

Drake Says Fans Will See The Old Him On New Album “For All The Dogs”

Drake has shared some new details about his upcoming album, For All The Dogs. During a recent podcast appearance, the rapper revealed that fans can look forward to seeing an old side of him that they claim to miss. “I’m tired of everybody coming up to me, [saying] ‘man… we miss that old Drake man. We need that old Drake man,’” he explained. “Imma give it to you then,” he told them according to a Tweet by the NFR podcast.

For All The Dogs is believed to come out at some point this year, however, no official release date has been confirmed yet. Recently, Drake also confirmed that he’ll be joined by Nicki Minaj on the album during a stop on his tour. “I got a lot of love for her,” he told his audience, who were also eager to see the reunion.

Drake Says He’s Tired Of Fans Asking For The “Old Drake”

Drake also recently set off on his “It’s All A Blur” tour alongside his Her Loss collaborator, 21 Savage. The artists will make several stops across the U.S. and Canada, with notable dates in Brooklyn, Washington, Los Angeles, and more. It’s been clear that fans are loving the tour, with recent reports of them lining up hours in advance to score spots to see him perform. He kicked off the tour with a show in Chicago, and was quickly met by phones, shoes, bras, and more being thrown at him onstage. One fan even sobbed at one of his recent shows.

Drake has been giving the tour everything he’s got, recently performing overtime in Detroit at his own expense. According to reports, each minute he went over the scheduled time cost him $10K. Further, he ended up with a bill for roughly $230K by the end of the night. It didn’t seem to bother the rapper, however, who was committed to giving his fans a great show. It’s $10,000 a minute to stay in this building past curfew,” he told the crowd, “I don’t give a f***. We’re doing this whole song, let’s go.”

Drake Teases New Bars From Tour In Latest Instagram Post

Drake launched the It’s All A Blur tour with 21 Savage last week but it appears that he’s still cheffing up new music ahead of the release of his forthcoming album. In the weeks leading up to his latest North American venture, the Canadian rapper released a poetry book (that he got Instagram models to review for Complex) and confirmed that he would be releasing a brand new album titled, For All The Dogs. As of yet, the project doesn’t have a release date but Drizzy confirmed on the first night of his tour that it’s coming soon.

Hopefully, the project see the light of day before the end of the summer. Until he confirms a release date, he shared a few teasers in the form of Instagram captions. This morning, the rapper shared some bars that we hope could appear on his upcoming effort. “alone isn’t lonely to me it’s becoming my idea of world peace (in my world at least),” he wrote. “with that being honestly said I still keep a chrome piece & an iced ear to the streets, and my names still on the lease so be remorseful at the very least.”

The Toronto artist hasn’t shared some information surrounding his upcoming project. However, he’s left a few hints of what to expect. Earlier this year, the rapper unleashed his single, “Search & Rescue,” which he first debuted on his OVO Sound’s Table For One show. A week later, he debuted the long-awaited collaboration with Lil Uzi Vert titled, “At The Gates.” Most recently, he confirmed on stage that Nicki Minaj would appear on his forthcoming project.

For All The Dogs will mark Drake’s fourth project since 2021. The rapper kicked off a trilogy that began with Certified Lover Boy, followed by Honestly, Nevermind in June 2022 before releasing Her Loss with 21 Savage. In Chicago, Drake explained that he wanted to provide fans with new music for the summer, which many believed to be a shot at his contemporaries, namely Kendrick Lamar. “People like to complain about how much music I put out,” the rapper explained. “I don’t know about these guys that go away for 3,4,5 years that wanna chill out and all that. That’s not me.”

Drake Confirms Nicki Minaj Collab On “For All The Dogs” Album

Drake and Nicki Minaj have given us some of hip-hop’s most iconic collaborations over the years, from Thank Me Later‘s “Up All Night” to Take Care’s “Make Me Proud.” In addition to those, we’ve also heard them team up with Lil Wayne on “No Frauds,” “Seeing Green,” and “Truffle Butter,” as well as Chris Brown on “Only.” We haven’t heard them reunite in several years, but on one of his first It’s All A Blur North American tour dates, Champagne Papi confirmed that #Dricki will be reuniting in the near future.

“Imma give away one thing off the album in Detroit tonight, ‘cuz I got a lot of love for Detroit,” Drake told his audience on Saturday (July 8) night. “So Imma have to tell you, like, me and Nicki Minaj did our first song in like, a really long time,” he revealed, causing the crowd to loudly cheer and applaud. “I got a lot of love for her.” The father of one didn’t share any further details, but over on Twitter the Queen of Rap celebrated the news with a throwback photo of the Young Money members.

Drake and Nicki Minaj will Reunite on His Next Album

At this time it’s unclear exactly when Drake’s highly anticipated LP will hit DSPs, however we have seen a few leaks surface online already. As promised when he initially shared the news along with his new poetry book, the 36-year-old seems to return to his rap and R&B roots after exploring other genres on Honestly, Nevermind.

Aside from the updates on his recently announced For All The Dogs album, the conversation surrounding Drake has also been about his pretty pink manicure. In an IG back-and-forth with Lil Yachty, the Canadian admitted that he feels as though the world is treating his nails in a homophobic manner. Drake Teases “For All The Dogs” During First Tour Stop

Drake and 21 Savage are currently on tour together. Of course, the two started their tour off in Chicago last night, much to the delight of fans at the United Center. Overall, it was a very successful opening night as both artists played the hits. In fact, the entire setlist for the tour has been revealed online. Upon perusing it, you will immediately see that it is jam-packed with some truly amazing songs. Although, this is unsurprising given the artists that are involved here.

During the first night of the tour, some fans were expecting a surprise or at least some new information. Ultimately, this is due to the fact that Drake supposedly has a new album called For All The Dogs dropping soon. Although the details around the album are scarce, there has been this growing sense that the project is imminent. On Wednesday, Drizzy played into some of those rumors as he gave fans just a bit of insight into the album and its viability.

Drake Has New Music On The Way

“I have an album coming out soon for you all,” Drake told the crowd in Chicago. While he didn’t provide anyone with any exact release dates, he certainly made sure to let people know new music is on the way. Although some will remain skeptical, they shouldn’t. The artist has been dropping a lot of music since 2021, and it would not be a surprise to get yet another album. Hopefully, it comes out soon and while he is on tour. That would just add to his already incredible setlist.

Tonight, Drake will be performing again in Chicago. Over the weekend, he will take his talents to Detroit and then he goes up to Boston. Next weekend, Drake will be doing his first Canadian dates in Montreal. Unfortunately, 21 Savage will not be making an appearance, which means Drizzy is going solo. Let us know if you will be attending the tour, in the comments section.

Drake Teased His ‘For All The Dogs’ Album During ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ Opening Night In Chicago

Remember, mere months ago, when Drake had people believing he might be on the cusp of retirement? That was cute.

Drake couldn’t be more active right now. Two weeks ago, he surprise-dropped a poetry book and printed a QR code in select newspapers to tease an accompanying album, entitled For All The Dogs. His and 21 Savage’s It’s All A Blur Tour kicked off its three-month North American leg at Chicago’s United Center on Wednesday night, July 5, and he didn’t waste time stoking the anticipation.

According to the Drake fan account Word On Road, Drake told the crowd, “I have an album coming out soon for you’ll.”

The account also relayed that Drake began his set with the Take Care track “Look What You’ve Done” and chronicled his setlist in real time.

Photos surfaced online prior to the show of the It’s All A Blur Tour merch, including Nike hats, bucket hats, and several graphic tees.

Drake and Savage will perform again in Chicago on Thursday, July 6, before hitting Detroit, Michigan for back-to-back shows at Little Caesars Arena. The exhaustive leg is scheduled to conclude in early October. Drake will stage two assuredly epic hometown shows at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on October 5 and October 7, ending with the rescheduled Columbus, Ohio date on October 9.

The It’s All A Blur Tour is Drake’s first North American tour since 2018.

Drake Leak: Alleged “For All The Dogs” Songs & Other Random Tracks Surface Online

Drake has published an undeniably impressive catalog, which makes us wonder just how big his collection. of throwaways is. We’ve heard a good number of them leaked by internet sleuths and industry insiders. Recently there’s been another Tems collaboration and an updated version of Scorpion‘s “Jaded” featuring Ty Dolla Sign. According to a new report from HipHopNMore, seven new alleged Drake songs appeared online today (July 4). Two of the titles are rumoured to be on his upcoming For All The Dogs album.

An official release date or tracklist for the surprise LP has yet to be confirmed by the father of one. When sharing the news along with his poetry book, all Drizzy hinted at was returning to the “old” Drake. Fans would surely be excited for a resurrection of his old self, especially after the extreme disappointment that some of them felt over his Honestly, Nevermind album last summer.

“Tried Our Best” and “I’m The Problem” are the two titles said to be appearing on For All The Dogs. Of course, neither of these has been officially confirmed as authentic Drake songs, so we suggest listening at your own risk. Others that are making waves, but not affiliated with the 36-year-old’s next LP that we know of, include “416” featuring Big Sean, “Yves Slatt Laurent,” and two separate demos of “Lose You.” Finally, we also have the original version of “Calling My Name,” one of the more popular songs from Honestly, Nevermind.

Preparing for a tour is no easy feat, but at this point in his career, Drake is obviously a pro. Earlier this week the Canadian took a trip to the nail salon, where he traded his heavily clowned yellow polish for a beautiful pink manicure that’s getting mixed reactions online. See for yourself at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Drake Meme Dominates Reaction To “For All The Dogs” Announcement

Drake announced two things on June 24. First, there is his upcoming poetry book Titles Ruin Everything. Secondly, Titles Ruin Everything will be accompanied by a brand-new album called For All The Dogs. Additionally, Drake appears to have commented on the reason behind the album. “I made an album to go with the book,” a passage on titlesruineverything.com reads. “They say they miss the old Drake, girl don’t tempt me.”

For All The Dogs, which is yet to be assigned a release date, will be Drake’s first album of 2023. While fans have had songs like “Search and Rescue” to enjoy, Drake hasn’t dropped a full solo album since Honestly, Nevermind in 2022. That spent one week at #1 last July. Additionally, with For All The Dogs, Drake will be hoping for his ninth consecutive #1 album.

Travis Scott Fan Account Starts “For All The Dogs” Copypasta

One phrase has dominated the online reaction to the announcement of For All The Dogs – “Drake was a Certified Lover Boy but Honestly, Nevermind, that’s Her Loss. This one’s For All the Dogs.” The phrase references Drake’s last three albums – the two solo projects Certified Lover Boy and Honestly, Nevermind as well as his collaborative album with 21 Sav*ge, Her Loss. Those references at then packaged into a phrase ripe with meme potential.

The phrase quickly became a copypasta, being quote-tweeted over and over. At the time of writing, the original tweet nearly 3000 retweets and nearly 500 quote tweets. Furthermore, its origin point appears to be a Travis Scott fan account called “Tervis Scoot”. At the very least, they are the account that popularized the phrase, even if they didn’t outright create it. The second most popular reaction to the announcement is fans posting pictures featuring dogs, be it with or without Drake featured. Are you excited for a new Drake album? Let us know in the comments. Drake’s New Poetry Book Will Reportedly Be Followed By A Companion Album Called ‘For All The Dogs’

Drake‘s new poetry book — which he wrote alongside songwriter Kenza Samir — has hit shelves today (June 24). In tandem with the new book Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream Of Consciousness By Kenza Samir & Aubrey Graham, it appears we may also be getting some new music.

The book is currently available for purchase via Drake‘s officially online merchandiser, DrakeRelated, as well as select retailers, however, members of the press who received their copies early noted that the front cover of the book contains an image of two puppies with a caption reading “For All The Dogs.”

An insider told Complex that “the image serves as a QR which takes you to a landing page announcing drake has an album on the way. While there is no release day we’re inclined to think this image in the book will be the communication point for ongoing updates.”

https://twitter.com/ComplexMusic/status/1672679294034640897?s=20

The QR code has also appeared in some of the newspaper ads Drake has taken out to promote the album, according to fans on social media. The code reportedly takes fans to a page, which shows a message from Drake.

“I made an album to go with the book,” reads the message. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me.” Subtext below reads “FOR ALL THE DOGS” in all caps.

At the time of writing, there is no confirmed release date for For All The Dogs.

Drake Announces “For All The Dogs” Album To Accompany New Poetry Book

Even this deep into his career, Toronto native Drake always finds new ways to surprise his fans. After giving us two incredible features on Young Thug’s new BUSINESS IS BUSINESS album, the father of one has mostly been focusing his energy on preparing for his quickly approaching It’s All A Blur tour. Prior to that kicking off in Houston next week, Drake gave fans an update on the poetry book he’s been working on in tandem with Kenza, revealing that it’s called Titles Ruin Everything.

To share that news, Drizzy took out ads in papers like the New York Times and the Toronto Star, and it wasn’t long before fans noticed a QR code on them. As Complex notes, scanning will take you to titlesruineverything.com, where the Scorpion rapper confirmed that along with his book will come a new album called For All The Dogs. No official release date has been shared at this time, but the news is making waves across the hip-hop community this afternoon.

Drake Confirms Another Album Ahead of It’s All A Blur Tour

“I made an album to go with the book,” Drake wrote on the webpage confirming his future plans. “They say they miss the old Drake, girl don’t tempt me,” he added, referencing his often-quoted lyrics from Take Care‘s “Headlines.” It’s worth noting that when the multi-talent first shared his desire to release a book of poems last summer, he told Table for One listeners that he was also planning to drop Scary Hours 3.

“I got another Scary Hours pack coming too, in a little bit. Maybe not right now; I need you to just take this in right now,” he declared following the debut of his Honestly, Nevermind album. “But I’m gonna slap some head tops off with the Scary Hours pack. I love this s**t.” Are you looking forward to Drake’s For All The Dogs album?
