Drake Offered To Pay Off A Fan’s Mom’s Six-Figure Mortgage At His Latest Show

Drake’s It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? tour is turning out to be almost as lucrative for fans as it has been for Drake himself. A few weeks ago Drake told one St. Louis attendee that he’d pay for their surgery. “I don’t know what kind of surgery you need, sir,” he said. “From me to you, St. Louis love, we gonna take care of whatever the surgery is.”

In his latest burst of generosity, Drake offered to pay off another fan’s mortgage at his Saturday (March 2) stop in Kansas City. The fan threw the letter onstage, and when Drake stopped to read it, he was so touched, he agreed to pay the balance, despite it being six figures (which, to be fair, Drake could cover with just his gambling winnings, let alone how much he earns on merch, endorsements, and of course, music).

“You said, ‘[Pay] off my mom’s house, rest in peace,’” he read. “Your mom passed away? Alright. And you owe … Oh, this is the outstanding balance right here. This is a lot of money right here.” That didn’t stop him for making the offer after a moment’s consideration. It isn’t the first time Drake’s given a fan a six-figure sum. He also gifted a Nashville concertgoer $100,000 for completing chemotherapy, which they announced via a sign in the crowd.

Drake’s latest tour has been fairly eventful so far. He debuted a controversial new look, admitted he isn’t quite ready to take the break he promised, surprised fans in Louisville with appearances from MGK and Doe Boy, and even rapped to his mom in Madison Square Garden.

Drake Offers Cancer Survivor $50k During Concert

Drake promised to give $50,000 to a fan who survived cancer during his performance in Pittsburgh on Friday night. At one point, Drake pointed to a fan holding a sign, which according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, read: “Ur music carried me through cancer.” He then offered to bless the attendee with a huge paycheck.

It’s not the first time on the It’s All a Blur — Big as the What? Tour that Drake has offered to help out a cancer survivor. In Nashville, last week, he gave a shoutout to a fan who noted they just finished chemo. “I hope my manager doesn’t kill me ’cause I’ve never really done this much, but listen, I want you to cash this in at the end of the night,” he said at the time. “We’re gonna give you $100,000. I love you and I wish you the best.”

Drake has been performing on the tour with J. Cole and Lil Durk for weeks now. While he previously told fans he’d be taking a break from working on new music, he changed his tune during a concert in St. Louis, earlier this week. “You know, I said I was taking a break and all that sh*t, but I’m right back on the road again,” he told the crowd. “It’s hard for me to stay away from y’all — I really do love you. You never know. I might get bored and start making some new music on the road, see where it goes in the next little while.” Check out his interaction in Pittsburgh below.

Drake Expertly Avoids Addressing Leaked Video By Misdirecting The Crowd At His Most Recent Show

Drake remains one of the biggest artists in the entire world. Overall, he continues to sell out arenas, while also going multiple times platinum. In fact, he is currently on tour with J. Cole on the “It’s All A Blur – Big As The What?” tour. Although he just toured last year, he is back on the road where he has performed his biggest songs for his biggest supporters. It has been a fun time so far, and every now and then, there are clips from the shows that go viral.

For instance, there is a new clip making the rounds on Twitter this morning. In the video, Drake addresses the crowd and has a heart-to-heart with them. This is something he does at all of his shows, and it has always gotten a positive reception. This week, however, fans have been waiting for him to address one controversy, in particular. For the purposes of decorum, we will not be explaining what that controversy is. Although, Drizzy did a good job of misdirecting his audience into thinking he would talk about why he became a trending topic Tuesday.

Drake Speaks To His Crowd

Drake begins his speech by saying that he wanted to speak about some rumors and how they are “true.” Except that rumor is not what you were thinking. Instead, the rumor was that his father really was in attendance at his Nashville show. Of course, Dennis Graham is from Tennessee, so it made sense for him to be there. Fans all thought it was pretty hilarious as Drake’s opening remarks made them think he was going to go somewhere else. It was a classic case of misdirection that goes to show Drizzy is still keeping his sense of humor about this.

Let us know what you thought of his response, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming releases.

Drake and J. Cole kicked off their co-headlining It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? run with two shows at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida over the weekend. According to Billboard, the setlist spans over 50 songs — and the opening show featured ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and a floating Travis Scott head — so it goes without saying that attendees will get her their money’s worth.

How Long Is Drake & J. Cole’s It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? Concert?

As of this writing, there have only been two shows, so we have to trust Tampa-based fans for this (for now), so allow for some human error. According to setlist.fm, Drake hit the stage around 9:35 p.m. local time. A Reddit thread claims that Drake and J. Cole’s sets (solo and combined) wrap by midnight local time. This checks out with how Drake conducted his preceding It’s All A Blur Tour with 21 Savage, as this schedule from opening night last July shows Drake beginning his set around 9 p.m. local time, and curfew hitting around 11 p.m. local time.

It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? will next roll through Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday, February 7, and Thursday, February 8. See all of the remaining dates here.

Sexyy Red Felt Went Through Great Lengths To Hide Her Pregnancy While On Drake’s Tour

In 2023, Sexyy Red was one of the biggest breakout stars not just in rap but in all of music. One of her biggest points of exposure was her connection to the biggest rapper in the world, Drake. She teamed up with him and SZA on the song “Rich Baby Daddy” from his album For All The Dogs. She also developed a pretty good friendship with SZA. In fact, the R&B singer was alongside her in an Instagram post that served as Red’s official pregnancy announcement. But now, she’s sharing some news about how she treated her pregnancy while opening for Drake on his It’s All A Blur Tour.

In a recent interview with Billboard she opened up on the extent she went to in order to hide the pregnancy for as long as possible. “When nobody knew I was pregnant, I’d be in the back room like trying to suck my stomach in, or wear clothes to show that I wasn’t pregnant, and I had to practice my breathing. Like, before I’d go on stage, I had to hold my stomach in and look at myself and be like, ‘Can they tell?’ Once I just was like, ‘OK, I can’t keep hiding it,’ ’cause it hurt to just be on stage all day holding your stomach in, so I’m like, just forget about it,” she explains. “Because I was pregnant on the Drake tour and the Moneybagg [Yo] tour, but nobody knew. People started suspecting it on the Drake tour because there was videos and pictures of me coming out. […] That’s the only reason I was hiding it, because I just wanted me and my family and friends to know,” Red reveals.

Sexyy Red On Hiding Her Pregnancy On Tour

Red’s massive 2023 concluded with some substantial critical praise. Rolling Stone called her essential summer banger “SkeeYee” the very best song of the year. While Red herself was pretty happy about the recognition, many of her haters online took issue with the choice.

What do you think of the extent Sexyy Red went through in order to hide her pregnancy while on tour with Drake? Let us know in the comment section below.

A Drake Holiday Gift Guide For The 6 God Fans In Your Life

The holidays are upon us, and there’s no greater gift than the gift of music. This holiday season, you can give the Drake fan in your life all sorts of goodies and treats.

Uproxx has put together a nifty little guide for Drizzy fans, for those who simply can’t have too much of the prolific rapper. At the time of writing, no Black Friday deals have been announced, but fans can purchase some fun items just in time for jolly season (and some of the options below might just get price cuts as Black Friday approaches).

Dave’s-giving Party Pack from Dave’s Hot Chicken

Drake fans who wish to get the festivities started early with the Dave’s Hot Turkey Party Pack from Dave’s Hot Chicken — a chain in which Drake is an investor. The Dave’s-giving party pack comes with Winter Sports-Themed Bibs, a Floral Centerpiece Cutout featuring Dave’s heads as tulips, photobooth props, and much more. Guests of Southern California- and Detroit-area Dave’s stores can add this pack to orders of sliders, tenders, or fries for $10 more, or purchase for an additional $12. Granted, this merch isn’t directly related to Drake, but makes for a fun addition to Drake memorabilia.

Items are available in select stores only.

Tickets to Drake’s It’s All A Blur — The Big What? Tour

Drake and J. Cole will kick off 2024 with their North American It’s All A Blur — The Big What? Tour. While they won’t be hitting too many major cities, Drake does plan to touch on the cities he missed on the first go-around of the tour. This is ideal for Drake fans who also didn’t get to make the first iteration of It’s All A Blur.

Tickets are available for purchase here.

Drake and Kendra Samir’s Titles Ruin Everything poetry book

Drake and longtime collaborator Kendra Samir released a poetry book called Titles Ruin Everything, a collection of words and lines Drake previously described as a “stream of consciousness.” While Drake’s most recent music has prompted some mixed reactions, the poetry book makes for a lovely addition to one’s coffee table.

The book is available for purchase through Drake’s official merchandiser, Drake Related.

Drake’s Views hoodie and sweatpants

Keep it cozy with loungewear embedded with the logo from Drake’s 2016 album, Views — which many fans hail as the quintessential Drake project.

Items are available via Drake Related.

Drake’s Good Thoughts candle

Manifest positive energy into your home with the Good Thoughts candle. Crafted with orange and fir balsam and paired with rose and sandalwood provides a spiritual experience within the house.

Candles are available for purchase through Better World Fragrance House.

Drake’s Nike NOCTA Glides

Kick it like Drake in these stylish new NOCTA Glides, which he designed as a partnership with Nike. These may be a bit more pricey than some of the aforementioned items, but they’ll run you cheaper than some of the tickets for the It’s All A Blur shows. Granted, you may have to fight some Ticketmaster-esque crowds.

The Glides are available for purchase through NOCTA.

Why Isn’t Drake & J. Cole’s Tour Coming To Some Major Cities?

drake j cole

Drake has been going hard this year. On top of his It’s All A Blur Tour, which he coheadlined with 21 Savage, Drake released his eighth studio album, For All The Dogs. While the album prompted some mixed reactions, fans seemed to love the J. Cole collaboration “First Person Shooter,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Next year, Drake will continue the story of It’s All A Blur, with the It’s All A Blur — The Big What? Tour. Over the course of three months, Drake will be joined by J. Cole for the It’s All A Blur — The Big What? Tour beginning in January. However, some fans have expressed disappointment as they aren’t visiting as many major cities as they Drake did for the first go-around of the tour.

Why isn’t Drake & J. Cole’s tour coming to some major cities?

While fans in New Orleans, Denver, and Nashville can look forward to seeing the two rap stars, cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas were noticeably missing from the list of tour dates. While Drake and 21 hit those cities on It’s All A Blur‘s first go around, fans were hoping to see them perform again.

J. Cole’s manager Ibrahim “IB” Hamad took to X (formerly Twitter) today to express sympathy toward fans, and offer an explanation as to why the tour isn’t hitting some major cities.

“I feel your pain but this is not a major city run, the run is for the secondary market we don’t get to go to as much and do shows like how we use to. All Love to DC though,” said IB.

The news is disappointing, however, understandable.
