Unfortunately for Lil Uzi Vert fans, it seems like their upcoming mixtape Barter 16 is turning out to be just as mythical and long-awaited as their past projects like Pink Tape and Eternal Atake. Considering full song leaks and continuous teases, some fans fear that it may be too good to be true. Regardless, the Philly superstar is still committed to dropping the album soon, or at least that’s what they told fans (or reporters… or both) when they approached them in their vehicle. Moreover, Uzi stated that they want to drop the Young Thug-tributing release by the end of next week. Not only that, but they shared that they want to drop a whole other album, too.

Furthermore, this is one of a few recent hints that actually point to Barter 16 coming soon. For example, producer London On Da Track recently teased via Twitter that they handed the project in. Whether it was Lil Uzi Vert who did so or London himself, we don’t know, but it’s promising either way. Still, many fans (for good reason) won’t believe it until they see it, but when they do, it’ll most likely be quite the special occasion.

In addition, none other than Birdman went to cook some stuff up with the “F.F.” MC after he requested to be on the project. Just goes to show, folks: ask and you shall receive. Well, maybe being a ridiculously successful rap executive will get you farther in that regard.

In any case, hype is as prevalent as ever for Barter 16, and fortunately it seems like the leaks haven’t turned the mixtape into a distant past. In that same vein, R&B artists working with each other usually results in a blend that, although different for each artist, is basically just math. Moreover, that’s what makes Brent Faiyaz and Sexyy Red meeting in the booth so enticing: no one knows what on Earth they could cook up.

Still, that’s not to say it’s a revolutionary concept. The WASTELAND crooner is well-versed and connected in the rap sphere, and if there’s anyone who doesn’t care about genre labels, it’s Brent Faiyaz. On the other hand, Sexyy Red just exploded in the game, so experimentation and different lanes can surely follow. On the other hand, Sexyy Red recently teased a team-up with Lil Durk for a remix, which should result in some invigorating energy and bombast. Maybe they will apply what they learned from each to this new process. Although things could be as simple as a feature in each other’s lane, it would be very interesting if they decide to make something fresher together.

However, that apparently might change soon, if the Bardi Gang on Twitter is to be believed. We know that’s a tough sell, but within minutes and like wildfire, rumors spread of a new single announcement from the rapper. Of course, she contributed to this by promising an announcement tomorrow.

In addition, this is far from the first time that speculation like this exploded, whether from Cardi B herself or otherwise. For example, social media recently turned their heads when reports suggested she’s working on a new collab with Megan Thee Stallion. Such a release would mark a big return for the Houston artist as well, and they have the massive hit “WAP” before that. As such, there’s a sub-sect of fans that hope the next single is a reunion between these two femcees.

Blueface Clowns Chrisean Rock After Lil Baby Praises Her: “Potential To F*ck Him”

As per usual, Chrisean Rock and Blueface are airing out their issues on social media for the world to hear. Now that their Zeus reality series, Crazy In Love, has wrapped for the season, the on-again-off-again pair has been streaming on Instagram Live every so often. Earlier this weekend, they hopped online to entertain audiences while they ate, although it wasn’t long before another famous rapper caused the pair to begin beefing.

In a clip from the Live that’s been circulating online, the entertainers eat chicken wings while chatting. “I think you be letting too many rap n*ggas be in your face,” Blueface tells the Baddies cast member. “Who in that picture, on my Twitter, in your face?” he then asks her, to which responds “Lil Baby.” The topic is obviously a point of tension for the pair, as Rock assures him, “It wasn’t even like that.”

The father of two presses his partner to reveal what she and the Atlanta rapper talked about, specifically asking if Baby had anything to say about him. At this point, Chrisean begins laughing, refusing to divulge the information. As for what he said about her, apparently the 28-year-old thinks that she has “potential” in the industry.

In response to this, Blueface couldn’t help but crack a joke. “Potential to what? F*ck him?” Rock was clearly unhappy with his response. She then asks him, “Why do you say shit like that?” before the clip quickly ends.

Apart from his latest comments about the Quality Control artist, Blueface also found himself in the midst of a social media spat with Chris Brown earlier this weekend. At the time, the R&B star was being heavily criticized for continuing to collaborate with female artists after facing past abusive allegations. Specifically, many users love to draw attention to his past with Rihanna whenever a new joint effort is announced.

Upon hearing about Chlöe’s upcoming single with Breezy, many didn’t hold back on expressing their disdain. For his part, Blueface told the Virginia native that he “beat up the wrong bitch” after he brought up Chrisean Rock.
