Big Sean’s career took a nice turn in 2020 with the release of Detroit 2, a sequel to his acclaimed mixtape. He was more focused and hungrier than ever before, placing some of his best rapping on that project. However, the prideful Detroit MC has been low-key since then. He did put Detroit and the deluxe version of the second installment on streaming, but there has not been anything separate from them.

Luckily though, Big Sean seems like he is back in album mode once again with the release of “Precision.” He is quickly capitalizing on the “Anderson Estate Freestyle” that was gaining lots of positive feedback on social media. So far, the Houston, Texas multi-hyphenate has given fans excellent tracks to chew over. “Bandit” sees the more explosive side of Don Toliver. He sounds focused and hard as all hell over the rockin’ sample flip of Tame Impala’s “One More Hour.” Then, you have “Deep in the Water,” which is the low-key and vibey version of Don T. On this cut, he displays affection and support for his girlfriend and mother of their newborn baby, Kali Uchis. What is interesting is that this song also incorporates some elements of rock with the riffing at the end.

RiTchie Delivers Experimental “Looping” Single Ahead Of Debut LP

Former Injury Reserve now By Storm rapper RiTchie continues to embark on his solo career journey with “Looping.” This is now the third single for the Tempe, Arizona native’s debut album Triple Digits [112]. It slated for an April 5 release date, which is about three weeks away. Hip-hop fans were treated to RiTchie’s first-ever solo song of his career about one month ago. “RiTchie Valens” is one heck of a listening experience with auto-tuned background vocals that will transport you to another world. However, this type of unorthodox rapping is something that listeners have come to expect from him, as well as the Injury Reserve group. This was addressed by RiTchie on his Instagram, according to Stereogum.

He talked about how these expectations to deliver left field material were a little “intimidating and defeating” at times. However, RiTchie is continuing to grow more and more comfortable with each drop. “What started as a personal outlet to release these mental barriers, ended up with me having some fun music I felt comfortable, then confident, and now excited to put out there in the world while me and Parker continue to work on the first By Storm record.”

Metro Boomin & Future Hit Rolling Loud Stage With Travis Scott To Tease “Type S***”

The duo announced the record, along with a second about a week and a half ago. It is scheduled to drop on March 22, with the unnamed follow-up supposedly coming on April 12.
