King Von’s Upcoming Posthumous Album “Grandson” Divides Fans

Grandson will be King Von’s next posthumous release, as his estate recently announced via social media. Moreover, the project is scheduled to release on July 14, and the cover art features a black and white picture of the rapper’s son wearing a fitted hat and OTF and O’Block chains. While this is obviously very exciting news for fans, it’s also something that made them cautious and skeptical. After all, other posthumous releases are bloated, disrespectful, or poorly put together in fans’ eyes. As such, the comments section under the announcement split fans into optimistic excitement and wary assessment.

Of course, plenty of comments just feature fire and heart emojis, indicating a simple but powerful support of the album and King Von’s musical legacy. “Finally! This gonna slap. We ready,” one fan expressed. “Please don’t give us dry a** features that Von prolly wouldn’t have did ready to hear this tho fasho,” another wrote. If his most recent single “Robberies” is anything to go by, though, this will probably still hold itself to a higher standard of quality. Still, some fans have the worst-case scenario in mind, which has unfortunately affected a lot of deceased artists’ posthumous work.

King Von’s Estate Announces Grandson For July 14 Release

“Stop milking this dead mans music and let him rest,” one user commented under the announcement of Grandson. “bro is they doing what i think they doin ……….. A.I genarated,” another feared, although that’s purely speculation. “Don’t f**k this album up gang,” another replied bluntly. Even though these doubts exist for fans, there’s also just as many people ready to support his estate and to celebrate what could’ve been of King Von’s career. Perhaps it will end up being one of the more acclaimed hip-hop albums of the year, and even the fans who are naysayers hope that’s the case.

Meanwhile, the Chicago MC continues to inspire stories around his life, struggles, and lasting impact as an artist. Many who blasted a recent documentary about his criminal life dedicate themselves to preserving his memory in more positive ways. Von’s estate knows the pressure, and hopefully (and probably) won’t taint his catalog for a quick buck. For more news and the latest updates on King Von, check back in with HNHH.

Coi Leray Teases Upcoming Project With Sultry New Look On Instagram

With her second album COI arriving on June 23, Coi Leray is in heavy promo mode for her next moves. As such, she’s probably very busy shooting visuals, taking press deals, and apparently debuting new looks like the one she just teased. Moreover, the rapper posted an Instagram Reel of her getting ready for what seems like a shoot, whether for a music video or something else entirely. Foregoing her usual long locks, she apparently rocked a short haircut with curls as her team put some hairspray on. Looking sultrily at the camera as her single “Bops” played in the background, she said that there are “good things coming” very soon.

Of course, this is far from the first time that she teased some sort of visual for that song in particular. Just last weekend, Coi Leray and a couple of her friends put on a twerk show for the camera while “Bops” played, yet it’s unclear if it’ll be a part of the music video or if she just built some hype. Regardless, the 26-year-old keeps leveling up and making waves that set the stage for her next moves. We’re only a month away from COI‘s release, but we’re sure that there will be much more to cover from her in that meantime.

Coi Leray’s New Look

However, a lot of fans were left a little confused with the album’s tracklist, which the Boston native revealed on Monday (May 22). Furthermore, a lot of that confusion stems from the features, which don’t include the array of U.S. rappers and hitmakers that appeared on Coi Leray’s debut album Trendsetter. Rather, COI will bring on David Guetta, Saucy Santana, Giggs, Lola Brooke, Skillibeng, and none other than James Brown, somehow. All this points to more genre diversity, but singles like “Players” and the teased “Make My Day” (with Guetta) hint towards heavy sample use, plus a more electronic and dance-inspired direction.

No matter what you think of these teases, it’s clear that the “My Body” MC set herself up for a big splash. Whether she capitalized on the hype remains to be seen, but we’re sure that she’ll continue to make waves no matter what. Until then, we have to find out whether she debuts any other new looks to usher in another era in her career. For the latest news and updates on Coi Leray, stay up to date on HNHH.

Conway The Machine Cashes Out More Than “Quarters” On New Single

Ahead of a host of new albums dropping soon, whether it’s his solo effort Won’t He Do It or his collaborative project with 38 Spesh, Conway The Machine is letting fans know early that he’s bound to meet his high quality standards. Moreover, he just released the single “Quarters,” which actually takes a slightly different approach to his usual production. The Khrysis-produced beat involves some trademarks: engaging and crisp boom-bap drums, ghostly tones, occasional chimes, and a funky lead melody. However, the buzzy staccato bass hits actually give this track a pretty unorthodox sonic pallet for Conway’s typical fare.

Lyrically, the amicably departed Griselda alum delivers a quick but impressive verse. His coke rap subject matter (however common, tried, or true) is still brought to life by lines like “Water-whipped the ounces, it’s residue in that coffee pot.” Of course, staying in that lane for the whole verse doesn’t leave much room for dynamics or a change in pace. Instead, where this track succeeds is in keeping you engaged in his layered, multi-syllabic, and expertly flowed rhymes from beginning to end. As a surprise, the track’s music video also includes the non-streaming track “Brucifix” with Westside Gunn.

Conway The Machine’s “Quarters”

Switching to Conway The Machine’s next moves, he just released a short collab tape with Drumwork signee Jae Skeese. Furthermore, as far as his upcoming team-up with 38 Spesh, it should make for a concise and gripping encounter. “Me and Conway got an album,” Spesh revealed to Bootleg Kev. “The people gotta get ready for that. It’s done, I’m gonna follow up after Gunsmoke [his recently released album] with that. The name of that album is called Special Machinery. Something serious, Special Machinery, we on there getting busy and shit, you know what I’m saying. I produced the whole joint, me and my guy Jimmy Dukes. He’s a producer from out of Buffalo, we produced the whole joint.” On that promising note, check out standout bars from “Quarters” below. Also, you can find the track on your preferred streaming service, and as always, return to HNHH for the latest on Conway The Machine.

Quotable Lyrics
B***hes be sayin’, “Oh, you definitely changed,
Callin’ me b***h in every message, you don’t text me the same, n***a” (Hahaha)
Machine, b***h, I’m a threat in the game
Tape that I did with Alchemist, I was just testin’ my aim, n***a (I’m on y’all a**)

Lil Tjay Is In Album Mode, Hints At A Broken Heart

As he previously teased, Lil Tjay is officially in album mode, although it seems things have changed in his life since his last update. Moreover, he recently posted some pictures of him in Denmark, plus a TikTok of a hyped crowd watching him perform in Hamburg, Germany. However, his caption hints at him missing a special someone by his side, which might just motivate him even more to bring fans heat. “I USED 2 WANNA CEE THE WORLD WIT YOU… ALBUM MODEEEE,” he captioned his slideshow. Maybe that’s just to build conversation around his drop, and if so, it’s certainly working.

Amid his European tour, many of his rap peers gassed him up in the comments, like Scorey and PGF Nuk. What’s more is that the hinted heartbreak might even be a reference to some of his earlier material. Furthermore, in the chorus of his track “In My Head,” he raps, “These feelings been stuck in my head, ain’t too big on love, but with you, I’m all for it. See the world, me and you, we can tour it.” As such, whether it’s a direct reference or not, maybe he’ll take a different thematic approach to love on his album’s new cuts.

Lil Tjay Hints At Being Disappointed, But Excites Fans With Latest IG Post

However, that doesn’t mean that the New York MC is completely averse to love at this point- or that he dodged rumors of a romance between him and Ice Spice. For those unaware, these speculations sparked when he gifted his “Gangsta Boo” collaborator a Richard Millie watch around Valentine’s Day. Even though many fans were excited about a new Big Apple couple, sources close to Spice said that it was just a gift to celebrate their collab. Of course, the song saw massive success, so it is worth a $150K time reader, but the timing ironically suggested something deeper.

Meanwhile, that caption could also refer to friends in his inner circle not being around anymore, albeit for very different reasons. Recently, the 21-year-old exposed someone in his camp for snitching on him. Whether it’s for heartbreak or betrayal, at least Tjay seemed to distract himself from those feelings with a great tour around Europe. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Tjay and his next album.

Offset Teases New Track & Visuals On Instagram

While he’s currently embroiled in beef with his label Quality Control Music over the rights to his music and being able to release it, Offset continues to tease fans with his next album. Moreover, he just shared a song snippet with accompanying visuals on his Instagram page. In the clip, he flaunts various stylish outfits as he spits bars on his success, influence, and status in the game. Even though it’s been a rocky road for the Migos rapper, he seems committed to giving fans what he can to hold them over. Many eagerly anticipate his next project and expressed support for his rights as an artist.

Still, the situation with QCM is quite murky, dealing with issues of copyright and ownership of new material. Despite his struggles, it’s certainly not the first time Offset gave fans a peek at what’s to come. For example, he recently previewed a posthumous collaboration with his late cousin Takeoff featuring Icewear Vezzo. With that in mind, more eyes than ever are on the Georgia native’s every move, whether it’s for his legal battle or the next chapter in his career.

Offset Gets Fans Excited Again For New Album

However, all that is moot if fans aren’t excited about the new album in question. For this new teaser in particular, it seems Offset continued to push the trap formula forward with some heat. He flows with confidence and a measured pace over a slightly ethereal but bass-heavy trap instrumental. Of course, it’s by no means uncharted territory for ‘Set, but the question here is (ironically) about quality control. Amid tragedy, label disputes, and a strained relationship with Quavo, he can clearly still drop engaging trap cuts that build on his already established sound and legacy.

On the note of the QCM battle, the “54321” MC recently took to Twitter to air out his frustrations. “Never thought life be this f***ed up #LLTake. I can’t drop music also” he tweeted. “Black ppl holding black ppl back,” he wrote in another message. From what reports indicate, he and Quality Control disagree over what music the label owns, and whether they can profit from his new deal with Capitol. Hopefully that gets sorted out internally, rightfully, and in a way that doesn’t dilute his art any further. Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Offset.

Tyler, The Creator Clears Up “Daughter” Line On New Single

Fans went absolutely ballistic on social media following Tyler, The Creator’s newest surprise single “DOGTOOTH,” particularly a line about him having a daughter. “If you don’t know my daughter name, then we ain’t really [dawgs],” the “IFHY” star raps near the end of the song. Of course, many took this as a straight-up revelation, and social media exploded with their takes on it. “Wait did Tyler just reveal he has a daughter #or is he just rappin?” one user wrote. Furthermore, it seems like he caught on to speculation quick, as he took to Twitter to respond to these fan theories and clear the air.

“I dont have kids and dont plan on it hahaha,” he wrote about a half hour after the song debuted. With that, it seems like T was just rapping and talking his smack over a gorgeous instrumental as he often does. Meanwhile, most of the discussion online unsurprisingly revolved around love for this new track and excitement for his upcoming CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST: The Estate Sale, which is an expanded version of his acclaimed 2021 Gangsta Grillz-style tape with DJ Drama with songs that didn’t make the final cut.

Tyler, The Creator Doesn’t Have A Daughter, Or Plans To Have Kids

In other Tyler-related news, both fans and fellow artists alike are huge fans of his style, creativity, and musical output. For example, Lil Yachty recently said that the 32-year-old was the one who inspired him to make his latest album Let’s Start Here. Not only that, but he also expressed a strong desire to make a collab album with him one day. Considering Yachty’s own skills in a breadth of musical styles and genres, both their artistic visions could mesh incredibly well.

Meanwhile, one of the greatest artists of our generation will appear in Hulu’s “RapCaviar Presents” series alongside the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Coi Leray, Polo G, and many more. In a trailer for the series, which premieres on March 30, he revealed some crucial advice that Pharrell gave him. “Make something undeniable and make it equally as infectious,” the Neptunes producer told him. “Why are you doing music? Is it because you just want to look cool? Because that will burn out. When it becomes purpose-oriented, it can be as cool as the flashy s**t, but it will be much more meaningful.” Then, Tyler thought, “Oh, f**k. No more being silly. Music first. At that moment, we went home, and I just wanted to change everything. I just wanted to switch. And the switch f***ing happened.” With that in mind, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates from Tyler, The Creator and his upcoming project.

Travis Scott Lets Kevin Durant Know That His Album “Utopia” Will Be “F***ing Insane”

Kevin Durant is one of many fans waiting patiently for Travis Scott’s next album, the highly anticipated UTOPIA. Moreover, he recently revealed during the latest episode of podcast The ETCs with Kevin Durant that Travis actually spoke to him about it. According to La Flame, UTOPIA might rank as one of his best projects yet, although we know very little about it. In fact, Travis moved with such secrecy and mystery regarding UTOPIA that even a star basketball player is finding access a bit difficult. Regardless, Durant said that he’s still trying to hear some snippets ahead of its launch.

“I didn’t hear it, and I want to ask for some songs,” the 34-year-old expressed. “But I know for a fact he won’t send them, so I might have to catch him in the studio one of these days before it comes out, but he’s telling me that it’s f***ing insane.” Of course, the “Road to UTOPIA” has been long, arduous, convoluted, and rarely updated until recent reports. Still, it remains one of the most anticipated projects of the year.

Kevin Durant On Travis Scott’s UTOPIA: “He’s Telling Me That It’s F***ing Insane”

Unfortunately, the rollout for this new album was cut short when ten people tragically lost their lives at the Astroworld Festival in 2021. Before that, the “goosebumps” rapper teased the project only through mentioning its name, whose futuristic allure got fans excited. Back in August of 2022, after many months of restraint, the artist announced a one-week residency at a Vegas nightclub. However, now things look much clearer, as Travis and other sources hinted towards the album’s soon-to-come drop.

“We have a new Travis Scott record, expected to come in June,” Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone said during an acceptance speech at Billboard‘s Women In Music event this year. Meanwhile, Scott outlined upcoming releases from his Cactus Jack camp, which could actually push UTOPIA back depending on how those prior releases go. “Sheck Wes, You Know The Scouts is on the way, we got Faygo about to put out a lil EP that’s on the way,” he said during an NBA All-Star Weekend event this year. “And right after that, UTOPIA. So we came here with that message and I can’t wait for these motherf***ers to drop this s**t.” Let us know if you’re looking forward to UTOPIA in the comments and come back to HNHH for the latest on Travis Scott and Kevin Durant.

Lil Pump Announces “Lil Pump 2,” Tracklist Features YoungBoy, Ty Dolla $ign & More

One of the most polarizing hip-hop artists of the past decade is back and perhaps better than ever. Lil Pump just announced Lil Pump 2, the direct sequel to his breakout self-titled mixtape. While the feature list is quite scant, there are still a few notable names that caught fans’ attention upon seeing the tracklist on social media. For example, there are some usual suspects, like frequent collaborator Smokepurpp and known feature killer Ty Dolla $ign. However, some less familiar names for some, Rio Da Yung OG and C4 Boyz, will also appear on the project. What’s more is that Pump snagged a feature from YoungBoy, which should make for quite the interesting cut.

Of course, this news comes with the context of the Florida rapper’s often panned artistry. Still, there are a lot of people out there that stand by the visceral, raw, and legitimately experimental approach on Pump’s debut mixtape. Even though he fell off afterwards for many fans, the impact of songs like “Gucci Gang” and “Boss” still ring to this day. For better or worse, the 22-year-old is one of the definitive artists of the “SoundCloud era” of rap in the mid-2010s.

Lil Pump 2: Cover Art, Tracklist & Features

With all that said, the “D Rose” hitmaker is in a completely different phase of his career, at least on paper. While he’s continued to try to make it big with the same sound, his charismatic personality keep him on media cycles and headlines. For what it’s worth, he also worked quite hard to turn his life around in a few aspects and find more fulfillment than pissing old heads off. For example, he recently showed off his body transformation and confessed that hitting the gym is his new addiction.

Meanwhile, Lil Pump 2 will drop on March 17th with 16 songs, and the artist shared the cover art for it as well. Whether you’re looking forward to it or not, it should make for an interesting moment in hip-hop this year. Will lightning strike twice with an energetic and raw project or is Pump’s time in the sun truly over? Let us know your predictions and return to HNHH for the latest updates on Lil Pump.

Everything About T-Pain’s Upcoming ‘On Top Of The Cover’s Album

When the word auto-tuned is said out loud, there should be one name you think of immediately. The man who is the staple of the auto-tune and paved the way for others using it as well. That man is no other than T-Pain

Faheem Rashad Najm, most famously known as T-Pain, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He has produced some of the most well-known club songs and has a recognizable voice. However, after three years, he is dropping an album.

T-Pain Album Timeline

The big-time artist was constantly in the studio during the mid-2000s and early 2010s. Further on, he dropped three studio albums between 2005-2008 and took a short break to return in 2011.

That was the last solo album he released until 2014, when he made a compilation album. Between then, only a little new music was heard from T-Pain until 2017. After that, he made a shocking return with the album “Oblivion,” then released one more studio album and a compilation in 2019 and 2020.

In the meantime, T-Pain has been busy behind the scenes with music. During his break, he can be seen making music and reviewing other artists on the popular streaming website Twitch. Additionally, he replaced Dj Khaled as a judge on the show “Go-Big Show.”

Announcement From T-Pain

On February 15, 2023, T-Pain took to Instagram and shared a picture of the album, quoting, “You’ve been asking for it, and here ya go, bro. A T-Pain cover album to end all cover albums…..”

“On Top Of The Covers” will be the name of this album which will be forthcoming on Friday, March 17. The long-awaited album has been in the works for four years, and the recording started after he was the winner of the hit tv show “The Masked Singer.”

On the website Rap-Up, T-Pain had this to say about the upcoming album, “This covers album has been years in the making,” said T-Pain. “I started recording this right after I won ‘The Masked Singer.’ “These songs are not what you’d expect when you hear that T-Pain is doing a covers album, and that is what I think is cool about it.”

On Top Of The Covers

The album will be a different listen than what most fans commonly expect. Instead of the usual mix of auto-tune, this album will showcase his authentic voice and natural talent. In addition, this album will consist of covers of popular songs, and the thought of T-Pain using his natural voice on this album will be music to our ears.

Down below is the tracklist for the seven songs.

1. “A Change Is Gonna Come

2. “Don’t Stop Believin‘”

3. “Sharing The Night Together

4. “Stay With Me

5. “Tennessee Whiskey

6. “That’s Life” feat. NandoSTL

7. “War Pigs

Tracklist

The first song on the list will be “A Change Is Gonna Come,” The song was initially released on December 22, 1964, by Sam Cooke. Therefore, this is the oldest song on the tracklist.

The second song on the list is Journey’s most famous song, “Don’t Stop Believin.” The song was released on October 19, 1981.

Next up on the list comes “Sharing The Night Together.” Released on September 27, 1978, by Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show.

Followed by the song “Stay With Me.” A popular song by Sam Smith was released on April 14, 2014.

A more recent song from the list would be “Tennessee Whiskey.” Even though it has had multiple renditions, T-Pain will use the Chris Stapleton version. This version of the song was released in the year 2015.

Then we have the song “That’s Life.” This song is the only one to have a feature incorporated into the album. Frank Sinatra was the original voice of this song, which was released on November 18, 1966.

Lastly, we have the song “War Pigs.” English heavy metal band Black Sabbath was the original performer. Releasing the song in the year 1970.

A T-Pain Performance

Additionally, with the release, T-Pain will also be holding two performances. The shows will be taking place in Los Angeles at The Sun Rose. They will occur on March 17 & 18, two days after the official release.

Tickets to the event will be going on sale Friday, February 17, at 1:00 pm ET. They will be available on T-Pain’s website; it is definitely a concert you want to attend.

Possibility

The delay on the album was because T-Pain was under contract with a label. As soon as he went independent, he knew this was the moment for the album to drop finally.

T-Pain had this to say about the delays, “It got put on hold for a bit, but now that I’m independent, I’m able to do whatever I want to do through Nappy Boy Entertainment, and this is something I’ve felt strongly about for a long time.”

With the talent that T-Pain possesses, we expect nothing but positive reviews. Additionally, his natural talent with his signing can make this a worthwhile listen.

Danny Brown & JPEGMAFIA’s Collab Album Gets Release Date

Danny Brown & JPEGMAFIA’s upcoming collab album just got a leaked release date of March 24th. According to online discussion and alleged leaks, they’ll drop two new singles for the project on March 13th and 21st, respectively. Of course, a lot of these rumors come from leaks and not directly from the artists, so take them with a grain of salt. Still, there is a lot we do know about the album that Peggy and Danny confirmed previously. For example, they teased “Lean Beef Patty” as the first single, the album is completed, and yes, that is the legit title.

Following these teases on The Danny Brown Show (plus a killer snippet), some new information spread on Twitter this week. Not only did those release dates seemingly leak, but we have a tracklist and cover art to inspect. Some standouts from the tracklist are “Steppa Pig,” “Shut Yo B***h A** Up / Muddy Waters,” and “Jack Harlow Combo Meal.” Again, take these titles as truth with caution, but they sound quite in line with their sense of humor. After all, one of Peggy’s most well-known songs is “Jesus Forgive Me, I Am A Thot.”

Danny Brown & JPEGMAFIA’s Collab Album Is Coming Soon

Even though many of these details are still online speculation, fans know that this project will bring some absolute heat. Moreover, both artists will apparently drop three album each this year, including their collab. On his end, Peggy’s already expressed that he’s in solo album mode after finishing Scaring The H*es. On the other hand, Danny’s found incredible success through his extracurricular endeavors: shows, streaming, podcasts, you name it. Still, don’t get it twisted: he remains one of the hardest rappers working today.

If you’ve never gotten into either artist, this outing might actually be a great place to start. They both bring incredibly raw energy and a strong charisma, and mix chronic Internet use with grimy hip-hop. While these incredible MCs seem ready to take on the world, there’s no way we’re ready for what they crafted. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Danny Brown and JPEGMAFIA.

Scaring The H*es Vol. 1 Gets Release Date
