To get fans excited he shared some fun photos of him and 21 Savage, cruising around on motorcycles and cooking something up in the studio. Followers aren’t entirely focused on the DJ’s new project, however. Countless users took to the comments section to weigh in on 21 Savage’s appearance, arguing that he looks different than usual.

Donald Glover’s New Look At The Oscars Draws Mixed Reactions From Fans

Over the weekend celebrities gathered in bulk for the Oscars. Though the event is meant to highlight the biggest and best films of the year, music was well represented. The Academy gives out an award for Best Original Song, which saw Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste, and Mark Ronson all performing. Eilish ultimately took home the award for the second time already in her short career. But one place where musicians were even more well-represented were some of the after-parties.

As you’d expect, a lot of focus was placed on outfits and looks. Halle Bailey showed up looking stunning even as her film The Little Mermaid failed to secure any nominations. Ice Spice looked great in a black see-through dress but still found herself having to defend her fashion choices online. But Childish Gambino was one of the most surprising, as he debuted an entirely new look. For the event, he showed off a new haircut, substituted his full beard for just a mustache, and donned a red AMIRI suit. While the fit was attention-grabbing, once the surprise of the change wore off fans had mixed reactions. Check out Glover’s new look from over the weekend below.

To say fans were divided about the look would be an understatement. Some thought it was hilariously wrong and tried to crack jokes. “That n*gga look like he made a fortune off of selling corduroy seatbelts” a tweet about the fit reads. Frank Ocean showed off a new look on social media, Wednesday, by posting a selfie featuring a new hairstyle. Fans have been sharing some praise for the look in response; however, most just want new music from the elusive singer. He hasn’t released a new project since 2016’s Blonde.

“He been out the way for 7 years and that’s the longest his hair got?” one fan joked in the comments when The Neighborhood Talk shared the picture. Another wrote: “I didn’t even realize I missed this man until I saw this photo..” Other users complained more seriously about the lack of new music from Ocean. “Man this n***a must’ve just said forget music. Ocean teased having a new album in store when he performed at Coachella in 2023. “It’s been so long, but I have missed you. I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album. It’s because… not that there’s not a new album, just like… but there’s not right now,” he said on stage during the performance. Outside of the announcement, the show didn’t go over well with fans. It started an hour late, featured no new music, and ended early due to the festival’s curfew. A live stream of the set was also cut last-minute. Amid all of the complaints, he canceled a second performance at the event the following weekend. Further news didn’t come until November of last year when Ocean teased a snippet of a new song on his Instagram Story.

YFN Lucci Looks Unrecognizable In New Mugshot From Prison

It looks like YFN Lucci finally got that haircut that the court promised him before his trial a couple of weeks ago. Moreover, a new mugshot surfaced of him online on Sunday (January 28), and people were very quick to comment on his bald head after sporting a long and wild look while in the pen. “tf, ain’t this n***a have a full head of dreads like yesterday [crying emoji],” one fan wrote under DJ Akademiks’ Instagram coverage of the picture. “N***a went from Kodak to magic Johnson overnight,” another added, while others had some more pop culture references to give. “He Look like CJ from Grove St [crying laughing emoji],” a user joked.

Furthermore, this follows the news that YFN Lucci received a 20-year sentence in his RICO case. However, given that he will be eligible for parole in just a couple of months -– and the State’s letter to the pardon and parole board that reflects a lack of objection to an early release -– he could be out in three and a half months. Of course, this is all quite muddy thanks to our broken legal system, and many things could occur to slow this down. But the Atlanta native at least has some bright light at the end of the tunnel, and that’s more than most ever get in U.S. prisons.

Meanwhile, another point of contention that came up concerning YFN Lucci recently is his past romance with Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne’s daughter. The two went out before his arrest, and many fans asked her after this sentence whether she’d take him back. Unfortunately for any shippers out there, she seemed to shut down the idea altogether, although that doesn’t reflect a lack of care and support. “I’m not tied to no man, I’m single. Coi Leray Teases Upcoming Project With Sultry New Look On Instagram

With her second album COI arriving on June 23, Coi Leray is in heavy promo mode for her next moves. As such, she’s probably very busy shooting visuals, taking press deals, and apparently debuting new looks like the one she just teased. Moreover, the rapper posted an Instagram Reel of her getting ready for what seems like a shoot, whether for a music video or something else entirely. Foregoing her usual long locks, she apparently rocked a short haircut with curls as her team put some hairspray on. Looking sultrily at the camera as her single “Bops” played in the background, she said that there are “good things coming” very soon.

Of course, this is far from the first time that she teased some sort of visual for that song in particular. Just last weekend, Coi Leray and a couple of her friends put on a twerk show for the camera while “Bops” played, yet it’s unclear if it’ll be a part of the music video or if she just built some hype. Regardless, the 26-year-old keeps leveling up and making waves that set the stage for her next moves. We’re only a month away from COI‘s release, but we’re sure that there will be much more to cover from her in that meantime.

However, a lot of fans were left a little confused with the album’s tracklist, which the Boston native revealed on Monday (May 22). Furthermore, a lot of that confusion stems from the features, which don’t include the array of U.S. rappers and hitmakers that appeared on Coi Leray’s debut album Trendsetter. Rather, COI will bring on David Guetta, Saucy Santana, Giggs, Lola Brooke, Skillibeng, and none other than James Brown, somehow. All this points to more genre diversity, but singles like “Players” and the teased “Make My Day” (with Guetta) hint towards heavy sample use, plus a more electronic and dance-inspired direction.

No matter what you think of these teases, it’s clear that the “My Body” MC set herself up for a big splash. Whether she capitalized on the hype remains to be seen, but we’re sure that she’ll continue to make waves no matter what.
