Kanye West To Have Posthumous Takeoff Verse On “VULTURES 2” Track “LET ME CHILL OUT”

Kanye West has been in the headlines for all sorts of things over the weekend and throughout the week. He recently dissed Drake on an official remix of Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That,” that was blocked by Sony on YouTube. Additionally, the Georgia multi-hyphenate is looking to start up a Yeezy adult film production company, which has been dividing fans. The third bombshell is that he announced the release date for the long-awaited VULTURES 2. Ye said that it will be out on May 3, but if we have learned anything from him, it is that we need to take anything he says about his music with a grain of salt. Now, we have come to learn that Kanye West will be adding a posthumous verse from Takeoff.

The original report comes from Rolling Stone, who confirmed the news in a written piece just hours ago. Fans have been waiting an extra two months almost for the sequel to VULTURES, after the release schedule for the trilogy originally had it dropping on March 8. Even more maddening for Ye die-hards is that the final entry was due on April 5. But nonetheless, fans should have more hope for this to come to fruition since Kanye announced this news himself.

“LET ME CHILL OUT” Has Tons Of Potential

As for this Takeoff track, it is titled “LET ME CHILL OUT,” at least for now. This is huge news on its own, since there have not been many posthumous Takeoff verses officially out there. But there are two other names in the mix for this song too. Rich The Kid will be making a return to the VULTURES scene, after scoring a huge feature on “CARNIVAL.” Maybe the most shocking of them all is NBA YoungBoy. He is currently dealing with a ton of legal issues, but this song was definitely in the works prior to his recent arraignment. In a tweet from Kurrco, you can hear a 20-second snippet of the song.

Glokk40Spaz Releases Trippy Single “Xans” For Upcoming Project

Georgia might be one of the most cutthroat states for rappers. So many try to make it to the top and only a few have left indelible marks on the genre. Artists like Andre 3000, Future, Young Thug, Jeezy, and T.I., for example, are some of names in rare air. One thing that all five of these artists have in common is a recognizable sound. Glokk40Spaz certainly sounds like he could be one of those unique voices with his new single “Xans.”

The 20-year-old rapper hails from the city of Decatur and has been trying to get his career on the fast track to stardom since 2020. Today is our first time covering one of his pieces of music, so are we thrilled for the long overdue opportunity. Glokk40Spaz’s “Xans” showcases are mumbly, auto tuned delivery across an extremely spacey beat. The instrumental has some heavy synths that pop up, and it gives the track a vintage 80s tinge.

Admittedly, Glokk’s flows are little jumbled and at times, he tries to pack in a lot of words into one bar. But otherwise, it is a chill listen that is has its replay value. Chicken P is someone we shed some light on just about a week ago when he featured on a new Myaap single “Actin Up.” Even though it was a wild banger, it did not feature what he could do for a full song. Well, today is our first full coverage of Chicken P and we are going to be looking at one he just dropped called “Ain’t Running Out.” What is exciting about this release in particular as well, is the fact that this will be a single for a new project he has in the works.

He has been dropping music since 2018, so he is no rookie at all. But over the last few months or so, he has really picked up some momentum. “Ain’t Running Out” sees Chicken P flexing hard with bars about expensive and exclusive clothing, jewelry, and lavish cars. The stunning Rolls-Royce convertible shown in the music video shows his dedication to sticking to the themes in the songs he creates and implementing them into the visuals.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie Is Back In His Ballad Bag With Pre-Album Sampler “ALONE”

Highbridge, Bronx, New York rapper and singer A Boogie Wit da Hoodie is taking on the role of the former on his new EP ALONE. The 28-year-old Artist is gearing up for his eighth project Better Off Alone, which will be due on May 17, according to Genius. Over the course of his career, the “Swervin” creator has given us plenty of ballads on every release. It is part of the reason why he has become such a popular figure from the East Coast. So, to tide fans over, A Boogie is doing just that for four tracks on ALONE.

For us, the production is what stands out. The moody, atmospheric, mostly piano-backed instrumentals sound expensive, so it is clear that he was not trying to cheat fans out of good sonics, even on an EP. The singing/rapping is heavily auto tuned, but it does not turn us off. In some cases, it actually works for the betterment for tracks like the opener “Tiffanys.”

“No More Questions” might be the highlight for us, though. We find that Boogie arguably gives us his most passionate singing and spitting performance. There is also a touching tribute to his late friend and collaborator PnB Rock. On the backend of the song, there is a slowed down version of Rock’s chorus on the 2017 GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions cut “Questions” that adds a nice extra bit of memorability factor. According to Genius, he will be releasing the 18-track LP on May 3. The features list looks to be absolutely loaded with legends from top to bottom as well. B-Legit, MC Eiht, Conway the Machine, Rick Ross, and Snoop Dogg are just a mere handful of them. In fact, every song will have at least one guest artist in the mix, which is pretty exciting.

This is now the second single for their 19th overall project. The first offering, “Us Vs. Them,” dropped back on March 29. The $uicideboy$ went for a grimy boom-bap vibe that sounded like something The Alchemist would craft in the studio. It has become an overnight sensation, already racking up nearly 16.5 million streams at the time of writing.

Just last week, he teased several new tracks off his upcoming reimagining of his last record 3.15.20 called Atavista. He did so during a GILGA Radio livestream last Sunday, and fans were having a blast hearing what he has been cooking up. Last night, Childish Gambino did the same thing again last night, and this time, a Kanye West collaboration was the highlight of the evening.

Accounts on X (formerly Twitter) were constantly resharing the audio clip and everyone is in agreement that it sounds fire. The snippet starts out with only Gambino rapping before revealing Kanye just seconds later. Production wise it sounds extremely familiar to a previous Ye record. The industrial and electronic beat would have fit snuggly on his 2013 experiment that was Yeezus.

Moreover, he just shared a new clip on social media on Sunday (April 21), in which he’s taped in the studio with Lil Wayne, T-Pain, JD, Jazze Pha, Jermaine Dupri, and many others while he sings a tender unreleased track amid a lot of other footage. Overall, the Chicago rapper seems to be gearing up for something truly special soon.

Furthermore, this follows a lot of other short teases on platforms like Instagram and Twitter, one recent example of which actually calls for a revolution as opposed to the typical democratic process. He’s never been shy about his sociopolitical views, but it seems like there’s another kind of fire that’s building within him as opposed to what we’ve seen earlier in his discography. Either way, it looks like Chance The Rapper will still be able to emote in various ways and bring his powerful versatility to the table. No matter what this next era or project shows up as, it’s been long enough since 2019’s The Big Day to where there’s always the element of surprise to consider now.

For example, he dedicated his latest song “I Will Be Your” to the Black Star Line Festival that he hosted in Ghana alongside Vic Mensa. The only things to be expected about that song were the beat and performance themselves, but the subject matter ranged all over the place. Headie One, Stormzy, & Tay Keith Unite For High-Profile Collab “Cry No More”

Headie One and Stormzy, two UK veteran rappers are some of the more prominent voices in the drill scene across the pond. In fact, they have a combined 17 years plus of experience and their undeniable chemistry shows up whenever they collaborate. Pretty soon, Headie One will be dropping his new project The Last One, so to hype it up, he just put out a new single “Cry No More.”

According to Genius, the prolific veteran will have it out by June 14. So far there have been two singles released ahead of it. One of them is of course “Cry No More,” and the other is “Martin’s Sofa.” That one is a bit peculiar, since it came out back in January of 2023. In terms of collaborations between Headie and Stormzy, this is now their third ever song.

I loved the sample and 808s straight away when Tay and Pooh played it in the studio. Stormzy went crazy on it, too.”

Lupe Fiasco has been playing the role of pot stirrer over the past few weeks or so. The legendary lyricist from the Windy City has been practically egging on Kendrick Lamar to respond to him. The “Show Goes On” MC cleared up the meaning behind a string of tweets that he was one of the rappers to apologize publicly to K-Dot. Essentially, he was really walking back his decision because he felt he did not need to be involved. He did not try to deny that he felt Lamar is just “solid.” Lupe Fiasco also subliminally took shots at Lamar during his time on the Coachella stage, and his new single “Indio” is partially based on that.

In the middle of his performance, Lupe announced that he is willing to go toe to toe with any rapper. “I don’t give a f*** how many records you sold. If you want smoke, I swear on my muthaf***in soul, I will walk through n****s. I will chew up n****s, I will body muthaf***as,” Lupe exclaimed.
