J. Cole To Appear On Burna Boy’s New Album “I Told Them,” Tracklist Revealed

Burna Boy’s new album I Told Them… is coming out this week, and now that the tracklist is out, fans are even more excited. Moreover, the full breakdown includes previous singles like “Big 7” and confirmation that his 21 S*vage collab will appear on the project. However, this news also brought us plenty of surprises through the list of features on it, which boasts some impressive names. There’s his Byron Messia collab “Talibans II,” a song with Seyi Vibez, and a guest appearance from Dave on the track “Cheat On Me.” But the feature that got fans really excited (especially hip-hop heads) is none other than Dreamville’s own J. Cole.

Furthermore, there’s even some audio floating around that seems to be a snippet of their new collaboration, a track called “Thanks.” In it, you can mostly hear Burna Boy singing over some glistening guitars, whereas J. Cole provides some ethereal ad-libs like his classic “Cole world.” Accompanied by footage of the two talking, this really ramped up anticipation for I Told Them…, as these two have never put out a song together. We expect nothing less than a great verse from the North Carolina MC that will compellingly compliment the Nigerian superstar’s performance.

Amid the afrobeats and dancehall artist’s sold-out shows and successful singles, his new record is poised to dominate the industry as his others have. Drake Unveils “For All The Dogs” Album Cover, Drawn By His Son Adonis

It looks like we might be getting For All The Dogs this week all along, and fans are ecstatic at the news. Moreover, Drake just shared the cover art for his highly anticipated new album on Instagram, further fueling rumors that it’s right around the corner. Not only that, but he also revealed that the artwork has a special meaning and marks an important milestone in the 6 God’s life. None other than his own son Adonis drew the project’s cover, which is just about the most wholesome collaboration you could get between a musician and an artist. Even though it’s a simple image, die-hards are already speculating as to what vibes it’ll represent musically.

Furthermore, the cover is an outline of an animal- probably a dog, obviously, but vague and unique enough to be open to interpretation- on a black background. The outline’s filled out by imperfect white strokes, and the four-legged and long-eared creature’s only defining features are its menacing red eyes. As such, this hints at a harder, more aggressive, or downright scary sound from Drake this time around. Previous reports, though, indicated that we might get the old Drizzy on this project with a more R&B-oriented focus.

Regardless, we’re sure that For All The Dogs will follow the rest of Drake’s discography quite fittingly. If it’s more R&B-based, then it would mark a stark difference from his previous dance outing (Honestly, Nevermind) and his trap-rooted collaboration with 21 S*vage (Her Loss). On the other hand, fans still want more of the gritty and boisterous OVO boss material that projects like the latter exemplified so well. Doja Cat’s “Scarlet”: New Reports Hint At Album Length & Tracklist Size

Doja Cat’s upcoming album Scarlet will arrive amid massive hype concerning new sounds, a strained fanbase relationship, and two excellent singles in “Attention” and “Paint The Town Red.” Moreover, new reports online hinted at the tracklist’s size and the overall project’s length, though they are unconfirmed as of writing this article. According to Pop Tingz, the 27-year-old’s latest full-length effort will contain 20 tracks, totaling 55 minutes in length. Furthermore, this means that there would be an average track length of almost three minutes, which the two singles already broke. As such, there will probably be plenty of surprises and variety across the LP, and we’d expect no less from the superstar.

Moreover, he took to Twitter to express why he could retire after this project, and to thank fans who stood by him throughout his career. “Honestly, after my HOOD POET album I’m considering retiring from music. So I appreciate everybody ridin for me 10 fold,” he remarked. “This rap s**t got so watered down it ain’t no fun in it no more.”

While Benny The Butcher’s new album Everybody Can’t Go saw a delay, it’s still shaping up to be one of the best rap albums of the year. Moreover, the “Super Plug” rapper recently explained on social media why the album didn’t come out this week as expected. “My album ain’t coming out tonight or tomorrow,” he remarked in the clip. “I wasn’t as ready as I thought I was. Just know when you hear my s**t it’s gonna be better than all this other s**t you’ve been hearing all year.” With its announcement last year (and the proclamation that it would be the best Def Jam album since DMX’s debut), he’s building up a game-shifting release here.

Considering the Griselda affiliate’s incredible body of work so far, this doesn’t seem too hard of a promise to live up to for him. With the help of frequent collaborator Hit-Boy behind the boards for many tracks, Everybody Can’t Go is probably going to be just as good, if not better, than it would’ve been if it released this week. Furthermore, this is understandably not the only time that Benny The Butcher gassed up his own albums. For example, last year’s Tana Talk 4 was a strong album of the year contender as he predicted.

Westside Gunn’s And Then You Pray For Me, the sequel to his critically acclaimed 2020 album Pray For Paris, is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated projects of 2023. Sure, there have been a few delays, but what’s a hyped rollout without them? Moreover, he recently published a teaser clip on Instagram with Washington, D.C. dancer Cartier Williams tap-dancing in what appears to be Times Square. In fact, Williams also tap-danced to Flygod’s track “Perfect Plex” at the Off-White menswear show at Paris Fashion Week 2020. That show was led by the late great Virgil Abloh, a friend of Gunn’s who collaborated on art direction and cover design for Pray For Paris, and he honored him in this teaser’s caption.

Moreover, Rooga recently appeared on the No Jumper podcast and claimed that Ye is putting together a new album in Japan, where his wife Bianca Censori is also staying with him. While the host, Adam 22, tried to get more details out of the Chicago rhymer, all he said was that “he’s working on an album.”

Of course, given the Yeezy mogul’s track record when it comes to released music, any news of a Kanye West record on the way is bound to make huge waves. Still, the most interesting thing that a new project will demonstrate, maybe, is how much his controversies bleed into it. After all, following his 2009 disruption at the MTV VMAs, reflections on fame, narrative, and being “the bad guy” fueled My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
