Multiple Songs From Lil Uzi Vert’s “Barter 16” Leak Online

As if Pink Tape‘s long-awaited release this year wasn’t enough, Lil Uzi Vert is keeping their hype train going. Moreover, fans are incredibly excited for the release of their new mixtape Barter 16, not just for the Young Thug homage, but for well-received snippets from it amid Pink Tape‘s pretty positive reception. It was unclear when exactly we would get this drop, but Uzi said it would be quite soon. However, a new development online puts the entire project’s release altogether in jeopardy, and fans expressed fear that there would be another tragedy on their hands. Once again, leak culture is threatening official releases.

Furthermore, Twitter went ablaze recently when multiple songs from Barter 16 apparently leaked online. Some of them have low audio quality, whereas others you might find around (not here, though) are crisp and clear. There’s even one particular track floating around that has a Thugger feature, and fans can’t wait to see Lil Uzi Vert show off some great chemistry with him. Still, with these leaks in mind, that might not even be a reality, or at least, it might be a very delayed one. In fact, one account in particular claimed the whole album will leak tonight (August 19).

Lil Uzi Vert’s Barter 16 Leaks Send Fans Into Frenzy

Of course, leaks are nothing new in hip-hop, affecting everyone from its biggest superstars to its underground but still buzzed-about talent. Many artists in the past have spoken out against leak culture, or at least addressed it as an obstacle to overcome. Through those testimonies, we can see that leaks can actually affect the industry and release schedules in a very significant way. In addition, there’s also the question of how it delays projects for a long time, as albums like Whole Lotta Red exemplify. Playboi Carti has one of the most extensive leaked discographies, and Lil Uzi Vert isn’t far behind.

Meanwhile, given that the Philly star recently shared Barter 16‘s cover art, we seem so close to its release. Considering that, hopefully the project can still release with a lot of excitement and with a huge impact. It would be a shame if Uzi’s second album of 2023 gets squandered by impatient Internet sleuths. For more news and the latest updates on Lil Uzi Vert, check back in with HNHH.

ASAP Rocky’s “RIOT” Featuring Tyler, The Creator Seemingly Leaks Online

Tyler, The Creator and ASAP Rocky didn’t immediately become friends when they first crossed paths, but after making an effort to find common ground, the pair have become a dynamic duo over the years. Both have incredible talents in the realms of fashion and music, allowing them to collaborate (and keep us laughing) in a multitude of ways. We have heard some joint releases from them over the years, such as “Potato Salad” and “Wharf Talk,” as well as the previously leaked “Run It,” “Jinglin’,” “Gurl,” and “Income.”

There’s long been talk of Rocky and The Creator combining their brands for a WANGSAP album, but unfortunately, we’re not any closer to seeing that come to fruition. “I think something about Odd Future must’ve broke Tyler on the idea of collab albums, like not in a serious way just in the way that he isn’t interested,” one Reddit user speculated on the /hiphopheads thread. “We never got EarlWolf despite everyone in Odd Future having their own little sub-group and ‘WANGSAP’ was literally a full project that they just quit making,” they further pointed out.

The pair’s “T.D. (Tokyo Drift)” song eventually went to Lil Yachty instead, and they gave “Lost & Found” to Nigo. There have also been rumours about a cut of Rocky and Swedish House Mafia’s “Frankenstein” that features Tyler, as well as an unreleased version of the California native’s “What A Day” with ASAP. The latter’s latest single, “RIOT,” originally included the other half of his WANGSAP duo, but was ultimately released as a solo effort.

ASAP Rocky may not have intended for his “RIOT” collaboration with Tyler, The Creator to arrive online, but late last month he did share the highly anticipated music video for his own version. In his usual fashion, the New Yorker went above and beyond with his creative vision, which found him filming around the globe. Check out the footage for yourself at the link below, and listen to the new leak here.

Kendrick Lamar “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” Leaks Surface On Spotify

One of 2022’s best albums is still giving us great new songs to bump… kind of. New Kendrick Lamar leaks, seemingly recorded during the making of Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, surfaced on Spotify. Moreover, they appeared in a playlist titled “Morale Pack” from user Marozy. Previously, the user leaked versions of Kanye West’s “City in the Sky” and “Mr. Miyagi.”

Surprisingly, those songs are still available on Spotify, and time will tell if the Kendrick leaks stay as well. Furthermore, the three new tracks are titled “Pure,” “Make Me Happy,” and “Computer Love,” respectively. Given similar lyrical references, flows, and themes, these songs sound like they came out of Mr. Morale’s headspace. What’s more is that Baby Keem’s influence is also pretty apparent in these cuts.

Moreover, Keem’s track “vent” originally leaked with a more developed Kendrick verse, which appears in part on “Pure” and on “cocoa.” Also, the new leak was reportedly produced by Pharrell.

Meanwhile, “Make Me Happy” features some lines from “Purple Hearts,” like “Crown on Bob Marley, wrist on Yo Gotti.” Interestingly, “Computer Love” features a lustful refrain and an old-school beat courtesy of the sample, a 1986 Zapp track of the same name. Even though the “HUMBLE.” star’s fifth LP set a high bar, these leaks step up to that caliber.

Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers sent shockwaves through the game in more ways than one, being Spotify’s most popular rap album of 2022. In addition to the heap of critical acclaim the album’s already amassed, the Grammys nominated it for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album this year. As such, it’s no surprise that its leaks are still pretty good tracks. Much like To Pimp A Butterfly and the following untitled unmastered. demos, maybe we’ll soon see a collection of B-sides from the Compton MC.

Regardless, what did you think of Kendrick Lamar’s leaks on Spotify? Are you still hungry for more from the Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers sessions? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, check back in with HNHH for the week’s new releases.
