Wiz Khalifa Previews “Kush & Orange Juice 2,” Listeners Beg Him Not To Ruin The Original

Earlier this week, Wiz Khalifa hopped on Instagram to tease his upcoming sequel to his iconic mixtape Kush & Orange Juice, leaving listeners concerned. The rapper shared a clip of himself and some collaborators in the studio working on a track yesterday (April 24). “Mixing and co producing this album has been so much fun,” he captioned his post. “I learned a lot in the process and took myself to levels i didn’t even know i could go. I can’t wait until you guys get to experience how special and amazing this body of work is. #KushandOrangeJuice2.”

While Wiz Khalifa certainly appears eager to unveil his latest project, not all of his fans are looking forwards to it. His comments section has been flooded with users criticizing the song heard in the clip, and begging him not to put it on Kush & Orange Juice 2. Others are urging him to change the project’s title altogether, arguing that he’ll ruin the original mixtape’s legacy with his current sound.

“With all due respect Wiz this is not a kush and orange juice 2 worth song. ImKush and orange juice 2 should be as dope as 1 respectfully there were no skips,” one critic writes. Another says, “Please don’t name it Kush and OJ 2. The music you put out now doesn’t even REMOTELY COME CLOSE to the music you was puttin out in the 1st Kush and OJ. I’m saying this as a Wiz fan and respectfully, you’re gonna ruin the Kush and OJ name with this type of music.”

NLE Choppa Takes Absurdity To New Heights With NSFW Single “SLUT ME OUT 2”

There have been a few rappers lately that have been unapologetic in their music when it comes to their sexuality. One of those is energetic Memphis, Tennessee MC NLE Choppa. Last year, we saw the still 21-year-old dropped songs like “College Girls,” “IT’S GETTING HOT,” a remix of Nelly’s classic, and “SLUT ME OUT.” The latter of those now has a sequel, as NLE Choppa has decided to drop “SLUT ME OUT 2.”

This original version landed on his 2023 project Cottonwood 2, which saw its release nearly a year ago to the day, April 14. In that fairly short period, the sexually-charged song has surprisingly racked up over 322 million streams. To be fair though, it does have a fire beat and Choppa does bring some creative flows and an animated performance. For this next installment, NLE somehow turns things up a notch on “SLUT ME OUT 2.”

It is truly impossible to include all of the absurdly funny lyrics but here is a small sample of them. “If I was a bad b****, I’d wanna hump me too, hmm (No Diddy) / I’d wanna trap me too, hmm (No Diddy) / Nothin’ freaky that I wouldn’t do to me (No Diddy).” The reference to all of the jokes surrounding the rapper’s plethora of legal issues is far from the most hilarious bars on the song. Metro Boomin & Future Reveal Chilling Artwork For “We Still Don’t Trust You”

What a time to be alive if you are a hip-hop fan. 2024 has been quite the resurgent year for the genre and two artists who are contributing heavily to the revitalized excitement are Metro Boomin and Future. The trap icons reunited for a full body of work in late March with WE DON’T TRUST YOU. It was a hit for many, as there were many bangers, with “Like That” leading the way. However, the superstar tandem is not done yet. With We Still Don’t Trust You dropping in two days, Metro and Future recently revealed the artwork, according to HipHopDX.

If you thought the WDTY cover was amazing, this one might be even better. This time around, the inseparable producer and rapper duo have opted for an even ominous black and white color scheme. In two of the quadrants, Metro and Future can be seen wearing black suits with white shirts underneath. Then, in the other pair, they are sporting all white with masks of some sort.

Metro Boomin fittingly captioned the post on Instagram, “WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU
THE ALBUM OUT THIS FRIDAY DROP SOME IF YOU READY.” It is safe to say that the community is definitely eager to get this project on their hands, especially with the consensus that this is poised to supersede its predecessor. Like before, we do not have much to go off of sonically speaking, outside of the fact that we will receive another Weeknd feature. DC The Don Finally Puts “SACRED HEART 2 (+)” On Streaming

DC The Don is an intriguing artist that has won over quite a bit of hip-hop fans. His melodic, dark, and emo-inspired style is entrancing, and his music is perfect for those late-night drives. One series of projects that his supporters adore is the SACRED HEART mixtapes. Today, DC The Don is back to bring out SACRED HEART 2 (+).

If you follow our page closely, you may be a little confused. We have previously talked about this project a couple of months ago. DC The Don first dropped SACRED HEART 2 (+) in January, right at the start of the year new year in fact. However, it never got put on the streaming pillars such as Spotify, Apple Music, and etc. Now, that mysterious drought is over.

Kid Cudi Hints At Possible “Indicud 2,” Relistens To Project For First Time In Years: “Man I Snapped”

Kid Cudi is one of the most beloved figures in all of hip-hop. Even though his discography is not for everyone, the Cleveland legend is definitely a top-tier creative mind. One of the main reasons why he is admired is because of the way his music connects with his fans. A constant theme you will hear from them is that he has saved lives. Even some artists like Travis Scott have expressed the same gratitude for Scott Mescudi. Furthermore, he loves talking with his supporters on social media. He comes across and relatable and approachable and he constantly thanks them for their love. In a recent string of tweets, Kid Cudi was yet again teasing more music, this time in the form of Indicud 2.

The multi-hyphenate is no stranger to leading fans on with upcoming projects and songs. Cudi did it for his past two releases, INSANO and its quick follow-up INSANO (NITRO MEGA). Indicud was one of his greatest feats both commericially and in the artist’s eyes. It did score a #2 placement on the Billboard Hot 200 with over 139,000 units sold, according to HipHopDX. It was also his first-ever solo produced record, making it extra special.

A fan shared his amazement of the project, calling it “flawless,” and Kid Cudi replied with a dream scenario for many. “Idk what was in my soul at the time, Idk if I was possessed by something haha but that is truly one of my greatest achievements. Kid Cudi Goes Back To More Familiar Sounds On “INSANO (NITRO MEGA)”

“Oh how u all will feast again very soon.” That was Kid Cudi on X (Twitter) back in late January after not being able to get his “deluxe” of INSANO out on time. Well, that time has come as the Cleveland native is here on February 23 to deliver INSANO (NITRO MEGA). As he initially promised, fans now have nearly 40 new tracks to indulge in throughout the rest of the year and hopefully beyond.

After NITRO MEGA‘s predecessor got slightly unfavorable reviews from critics and fans, maybe this will make fans a little happier. On this sequel of sorts, Cudi is going back to his experimentative roots. While it is still filled with bangers, it is not nearly as heavy on the trap/psychedelic sounds. Just listen to “ELECTROWAVE BABY 2.0” and you will see what we mean.

Don Trip Drops One More Project Just In Time For 2024 With “Christopher Season 3”

There are a lot of prolific rappers in the hip-hop genre. Quite a great deal of them dwell in the underground lane. One of them includes longtime Memphis, Tennessee MC Don Trip. The 38-year-old did something not many are able to pull off.

He came out with 12 (!) albums in 2023. The first one, Gotham City, dropped on January 27. From that point on, Don Trip would go on to follow a very particular trend. Don set it up to where he would be able to drop an LP at the end of each month. Somehow, he was able to stay committed to that trend and did so by coming out with Christopher Season 3 on December 29.

Pooh Shiesty’s “Federal Contraband 2” Follows His Iconic 2021 Single

It’s Shiesty season! Even as he celebrates another Christmas behind bars, 24-year-old Pooh Shiesty is making his presence felt. Following his 2021 single, “Federal Contraband,” the lyricist returned last week with the song’s sequel. It consists of over seven minutes of bars from the Memphis-born performer as he reflects on life in prison, among other things over production from TP808.

“Yeah, man, you know I do too motherf**kin’ much, I’m Mr. Go Too Far / They might try to come and supersede me after all this shit I’m talkin’, you know I’m federal property now,” Shiesty tells listeners on the intro. As his first verse begins, the “Shoud’ve Ducked” artist gets candid about strained relationships with loved ones. “Losin’ relations with my family, it’s been six months since I called / It’s part of what I signed up for, I’m mentally built for it all,” he spits, taking pride in his strength.

“Physically, I’m standin’ tall, was taught don’t let ’em see you sweat / S**t goin’ all bad, but I’m patient, know somethin’ good gotta come next,” Pooh continues, remaining optimistic despite his circumstances. “Old celly just got killed, his killer gone to ADX / Went from Audemar to G-Shock, these the jailhouse Rolex,” he adds, making it known he’s still staying fresh, even as an inmate.

Margot Robbie Shoots Down “Barbie 2” Likelihood

Margot Robbie discussed the possibility of her returning for a sequel to Barbie, making it seem unlikely during a recent interview, as caught by TMZ. When prompted with the idea, she admitted she couldn’t imagine what it would encompass.

In an interview clip posted by the Associated Press, Robbie says: “I think we put everything we had into this one. We didn’t build it to be a trilogy or something. Greta put everything into this movie, so I can’t imagine what would be next.”

It’s not the first time Robbie has addressed the idea. In July, she told TIME: “It could go a million different directions from this point. But I think you fall into a bit of a trap if you try and set up a first movie whilst also planning for sequels.” Geta Gerwig, who co-wrote and directed Barbie, has played coy about the possibility of a second film. Speaking with The New York Times after Barbie hit theaters in July, Gerwig explained her stance. “At this moment, it’s all I’ve got,” Gerwig told the outlet shortly after the film opened. “I feel like that at the end of every movie, like I’ll never have another idea and everything I’ve ever wanted to do, I did. I wouldn’t want to squash anybody else’s dream, but for me, at this moment, I’m at totally zero.”

Danny Brown Details How Far He Has Come On “Quaranta”

Danny Brown’s career is one that will go down as maybe the most underrated in the history of the genre. His gut-busting humor, along with his ability to get serious at the drop of a hat, has made him an extremely versatile artist. Brown’s sound may not be for everyone, but his individualism makes him one of the more memorable figures in hip-hop. He has obviously experienced a lot over the course of his time in the industry and that is one of the topics he tackles on his brand-new album.

Quaranta is Danny’s sixth studio album and first since his 2019 effort, uknowhatimsayin¿ This project is sort of a sequel to his 2011 tape, XXX, which is the Roman numeral for 30. If you took any Italian in school, Quaranta translates to 40. The Detroit rapper turned 40 back in 2021 and he wanted to make this LP about how much his life has changed in the past 10 years.
