The Alchemist Unveils Exciting Features For New EP, “Flying High 2”

On Friday (November 3), one of hip-hop’s most legendary, hard-working, and enduring producers is dropping yet another project. Moreover, The Alchemist just shared some very promising additional details on his forthcoming EP, Flying High Part Two. Of course, the main thing that most people look for on producer-led projects like these are the featured guests. While any offering from Uncle Al is exciting no matter if he’s solo or paired up with someone else, the special guests on this five-track offering are right up his alley. They are all former collaborators that he has spectacular chemistry with, so we can’t wait to see what they cook up.

Furthermore, let’s go into this EP’s revealed tracklist. In contrast to its excellent predecessor, Flying High Part Two will contain a solo song as its opener, “Turkish Link.” It’s unclear whether this is just an instrumental from The Alchemist or if he’ll be spitting bars for it. Given his recent “Nothing Is Freestyle,” in which he raps with ease, confidence, and skill- plus the fact that “Turkish Link” has an instrumental version on its Side B- we can assume that he’ll tap into that once again. Speaking of instrumental versions, one will be available for each of the five main songs, making this a ten-cut effort in total.

The Alchemist Unveils Flying High Part Two‘s Cover Art & Tracklist: Read Below

The same was true for the original Flying High, whose four tracks paired up with their instrumental versions to make for an eight-song EP. However, another difference present in its sequel is the amount of features. We have one for each of the remaining four songs on Flying High Part Two: Conway The Machine on “Phil Drummond,” Action Bronson on “Vertigo,” Oh No on “Royal Hand” (credited as Gangrene, the duo comprising of Oh No and The Alchemist), and Curren$y on “Pain Different.” Whereas its first installment had two MCs on each main song, its sequel keeps the spotlight solely on one lyricist- and one producer, of course.

Meanwhile, with all this in mind, it’s hard to be anything less than excited for Flying High Part Two. With other albums like Faith Is A Rock with MIKE and Wiki and VOIR DIRE with Earl Sweatshirt under his belt for 2023, the iconic beatmaker is going to keep building this year up to be one of his best. What else can we expect? For more news and the latest updates on The Alchemist, stick around on HNHH.

Key Glock Serves Up First Single From “Glocktober” With “No Hook 2”

Ruthless Memphis MC Key Glock is having a great year so far. We say that because it seems that another project is on the horizon. In fact, it may come right around Halloween. Hopefully, it does because it will be the perfect music to bump while stealing everyone’s Halloween candy (do not do that). But, in all seriousness, that is how Key’s music makes you feel. He gives listeners tons of confidence to do whatever (but be smart and make the right decisions). His in-your-face and violent bars make him extremely entertaining.

That is why his last album, Glockoma 2, has been a joy for fans of his. While he might not be the most versatile rapper, he does his style very well. Of course, this follows up on his 2018 tape, Glockoma. One of the songs on the deluxe, “No Hook” was a solid add-on to the tracklist. Now, it gets a sequel.

Listen To “No Hook 2” From Key Glock

In addition, it is also the lead single to his upcoming album, Glocktober. Glock has not officially given a release date yet. But, with the title and the color of the cover being orange, it is safe to say sometime right before Halloween it will be out. It is the same cover as Glockoma 2 and fans under his Instagram post for it are hilarious. While they are amped for new music, they cannot help but make witty jokes. One says, “This finna be bro album cover from now on with a different color 😂😂🔥🔥” Another adds, “Next one gonna be a green one that say the Glock that stole Christmas.” If we are already on this trend, we say Key follows up on this.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new single from Key Glock, “No Hook 2?” Is this better than the original song from his Glockoma 2 (Deluxe) album? Are you getting hyped now that we know he is dropping another Glock entry coming from him soon? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Key Glock, as well as all of the hottest song releases.

2 Chainz Says Lil Wayne Collab Album “COLLEGROVE 2” Is Coming Very Soon

For years now, we’ve been waiting for a sequel to 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s 2016 collaborative project, COLLEGROVE. There’s been a lot of teases, unfulfilled promises, label issues, and more getting in the way of its release so far. In fact, according to the Drench God’s initial statements, the album was supposed to come out in 2020, and we’ve gotten teased about it every year since. Moreover, we finally have our example of this in 2023 thanks to a recent interview with The Source. The College Park, Georgia native said that his team-up sequel with the Hollygrove, New Orleans MC is set to drop this year at the moment.

COLLEGROVE 2 will be coming out before the year’s over with,” 2 Chainz remarked. “We’ve already shot two visuals, the photo shoot is over. We’re in the process now of mastering records. All the records are mixed, so it’ll be coming soon. I’m so excited about it and I’ve been talking about it so long. I’m anxious at this point to try to get it to the fans’ ears. Hear some of the hard work, and the blood sweat and tears that me and my brother put into this project.”

What’s more is that, in comparison to other teases of COLLEGROVE 2, we have some evidence to back this up. For example, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne were recently spotted filming a music video with Usher. With this in mind, we can only imagine what other big features could appear on the project, although certainly none are necessary. The chemistry between these two MCs will likely be enough to keep the fire burning.

Meanwhile, it seems like they already went through other big final stages for this album, such as the tracklist. Prior to COLLEGROVE, this duo crafted many hits together, so there’s more to follow up than just one album. Hopefully this isn’t another unfulfilled promise and we can hear these rappers at the peak of their chemistry soon. For more news and the latest updates on Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, come back to HNHH.

Tyla Yaweh Unleashes New Album, “Heart Full Of Rage 2”

Tyla Yaweh has a lot of musical talents and styles, and there’s no better indicator of that than his new album, Heart Full of Rage 2. Moreover, the 16-track project boasts forays into indie rock, rage music, drum and bass, alternative, trap, and more, making it quite a dynamic listen from front to back. Of course, each listener will have their own specific niche of the rapper and singer’s styles that they latch onto. However, the album experience is actually a fun ride to go on regardless of whether you just like one or a couple of his sounds. It’s varied enough to keep your attention and throw you some left hooks, whereas there are some similar tracks next to each other that serve to compliment that phase of the project.

Furthermore, the Orlando MC and vocalist shows off a lot of catchy lyricism and melodic writing here. For example, there’s the unsurprisingly bright and breezy “SUMMER VIBES,” which benchmarks a more rock-oriented section of the tracklist. Others, like “City Of Dreams” with Chris Brown, take a more R&B-influenced and melody-heavy approach to the trap sound, and there’s a lot of chemistry on that song in particular. Tyla Yaweh also tapped Ty Dolla $ign, DeJ Loaf, Toosii, and Yung Bleu for charismatic and fitting features on their respective cuts.

Westside Gunn Shares Exciting Teaser For “Pray For Paris” Sequel Project

Westside Gunn’s And Then You Pray For Me, the sequel to his critically acclaimed 2020 album Pray For Paris, is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated projects of 2023. Sure, there have been a few delays, but what’s a hyped rollout without them? Moreover, he recently published a teaser clip on Instagram with Washington, D.C. dancer Cartier Williams tap-dancing in what appears to be Times Square. In fact, Williams also tap-danced to Flygod’s track “Perfect Plex” at the Off-White menswear show at Paris Fashion Week 2020. That show was led by the late great Virgil Abloh, a friend of Gunn’s who collaborated on art direction and cover design for Pray For Paris, and he honored him in this teaser’s caption.

“FROM THE BEAUTIFUL MINDS of WSG x @virgilabloh,” Westside Gunn’s post began. “’PRAY FOR PARIS…. AND THEN YOU PRAY FOR ME.’ Before I take you to where we’re going I have to catch some ppl up to where we’ve been, the Album PRAY FOR PARIS changed my life!! Freddie Gibbs Shuts Down “Fetti 2” Rumors, Speaks On Currensy Relationship

Freddie Gibbs and Curren$y are well-known for putting out remarkable collaboration projects, especially the one they have with each other. They released Fetti with The Alchemist back in 2018, and fans recently brought up that rumors of a sequel don’t seem promising. Moreover, this is because on Currensy’s latest album, VICES with Harry Fraud, he collaborated with some of Gibbs’ opposition, namely Benny The Butcher and Jim Jones. Via Twitter, the Indiana rapper responded to these claims and said that a sequel to Fetti was never in the cards. Also, he apparently took to an IG burner account to allege that the New Orleans MC “s***ted” on their first outing together.

“Damn Currensy f***ing with all of Freddie Gibbs’ enemies,” one user tweeted. “Guess we not getting a Fetti 2.” “We wasn’t gon’ get that s**t regardless,” Freddie responded. “I’d bet the house Currensy wasn’t holding his breath,” another fan remarked. ‘You’ll be one homeless n***a,” the Big Boss Rabbit replied. Elsewhere, he said that a sequel “was never alive” in response to people saying “RIP Fetti 2.” On his supposed burner Instagram account, he appeared to elaborate on these claims.

Freddie Gibbs Says Fetti 2 Isn’t Happening

“N***a s***ted on our project,” Freddie Gibbs allegedly claimed. “Didn’t shoot one video or do one show. I ain’t get mad I just subtracted him from the equation and me and Al made another classic went to the Grammys. End of story.” While this suggests that something went down between the two, the Indiana artist’s words also hint at there not really being any hard feelings. Still, it’s unclear how this will develop, and whether Currensy working with the rappers Freddie beefed with was a deliberately calculated move. At the end of the day, that’s purely speculative.

Regardless, these are two of the most prolific and acclaimed rappers today, so any supposed beef only comes into the conversation after their artistry, releases, and skill. Even though it’s unfortunate, they’ve also continued to make great music without each other, and hopefully no grudges come up as a result of these remarks. After all, fans only want them to make up and put that aside for some more heat, and hopefully that door doesn’t fully close just yet. Maybe that’s wishful thinking based on what Freddie said, but it’s still a dream for many. For more news and the latest updates on Curren$y and Freddie Gibbs, come back to HNHH.

“Shrek 5” Confirmed, Original Stars Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, And Mike Myers In Talks To Reprise Beloved Roles

It’s been over ten years since the last instalment in the Shrek franchise, Shrek Forever After, landed in theatres. However, now, executives at DreamWorks have decided that it’s finally the perfect time to bring back the world’s favourite ogre, hopefully restoring him to his former glory. In an interview with Variety, Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri shared the big news, even hinting that we may hear the return of some beloved original voice actors in the forthcoming project.

“Talks are starting now, and every indication that we’ve gotten is there’s tremendous enthusiasm on behalf of the actors to return,” he told the outlet. The entertainers in question are Mike Myers, who voiced Shrek, as well as his bride, Princess Fiona (taken on by Cameron Diaz). Of course, the case wouldn’t be complete without Eddie Murphy, who brings the beloved Donkey to life in the first four Shrek films. “We anticipate the cast coming back,” Meledandri noted, though he made it clear that no one has officially signed on the dotted line as of right now.

While chatting with Variety, the industry executive expressed his joy over reading about Murphy’s interest in DreamWorks producing an entire series of films based solely on his character. “If [they] ever came with another Shrek, I’d do it in two seconds,” the Haunted Mansion actor previously confirmed. “I love Donkey. They did Puss In Boots movies. I was like, ‘They should have done a Donkey movie.’” By his standards, Eddie thinks that his four-legged critter is far funnier than Antonio Banderas’.

As for the other former cast members, Diaz announced her retirement from the acting industry in 2018. However, she recently stepped back into the spotlight for an upcoming project called Back in Action, which also stars Kyle Chandler, Jamie Foxx, and Glenn Close. According to DailyMail, the Netflix Original is expected to drop in 2024. Finally, regarding Myers, the Canadian has also been in talks to reprise his classic role as Austin Powers as of late, though it remains unclear if we’ll see that come to fruition. Are you excited about Shrek 5? Let us know in the comments, and revisit the original 2001 film’s trailer below.

NBA YoungBoy & Birdman Move Forward With “Baller Blockin 2”

NBA YoungBoy and Birdman are moving ahead on the sequel to the cult classic film, Baller Blockin. On Sunday, it was announced that Clifton Bell would be joining the movie as the director. He’s previously worked on videos with J. Cole, T.I., Rick Ross, The Roots, Bobby Shmurda, Gucci Mane, and many more. Most recently, he teamed up with Latto for “Sex Lies” with Lil Baby.

YoungBoy and Birdman first announced they were working on the film on social media in October by teasing a poster for the sequel. Featuring the title in bold red, it also contains the city of New Orleans in the background. While YoungBoy hails from Baton Rouge, Birdman was born and raised in New Orleans.

Baller Blockin was released in December 2000, detailing life in the city’s notorious Magnolia Projects. The original movie starred Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., Turk, Mannie Fresh, Birdman, and more. The Cash Money Millionaires handled the soundtrack. Nas, E-40, UGK, 8Ball & MJG, and Mack 10 also contributed to the songs released for Baller Blockin.

While Lil Wayne starred in the first film, Birdman recently noted that there are a lot of similarities between YoungBoy and the legendary rapper. Speaking with Billboard, he explained: “Watching how fast he do music and the value of the music, I saw a lot of similarities between him and Wayne. I seen stardom in him, but I knew it was a process.”

On the music front, YoungBoy released his first album of 2023, I Rest My Case, last month. The 19-track project is the rapper’s first release through Motown since joining the label in October. It features production from Jason “Cheese” Goldberg, alongside D-Roc, DJ Trebble, Dmac, Kid Krazy, Powers Pleasant, TnTXD, Wayv, and Yo Benji. The album debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 after moving 29,000 copies in its first week.

Jamie Lee Curtis Says “Freaky Friday 2” Is Happening

Jamie Lee Curtis has confirmed that a sequel to Freaky Friday is definitely going to happen. The 64-year-old actress addressed the state of the franchise at the Producers Guild Awards, according to Variety. The original film released back in 2003 starring Lindsay Lohan opposite Curtis. The two play a mother and daughter who swap bodies after finding a mysterious and magical Chinese fortune cookie. It grossed over $160 million worldwide on a budget of only $26 million and received mostly positive reviews from critics.

“It’s going to happen,” she said. “Without saying there’s anything officially happening, I’m looking at you in this moment and saying, ‘Of course it’s going to happen.’ It’s going to happen.” Earlier this month, Curtis also shared a photo of herself with Lohan on Instagram with the caption, “It’s Friday. I’m just sayin! Freaky fingers crossed!”

Elsewhere on the red carpet for the Producers Guild Awards, Curtis ran into Andor star Diego Luna and his daughter, Fiona, who mentioned being a huge fan of the first film. Curtis whispered something about the film into Fiona’s ear in response. “I just told her she’s going to the premiere of ‘Freaky Friday 2’ and I told her a secret about it that nobody knows,” Curtis said. “She’s the only one in the world who knows what I just told her.”

Back in November, Curtis confirmed that preliminary talks about a second Freaky Friday film were ongoing. “There is no scheduled date, but we’re talking. People are talking. The right people are talking,” she said at the Los Angeles premiere of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. “I’m 64 in a week and Lindsay is 36…[A sequel] lends itself so beautifully, We’re both committed to it, and it’s not ours to make. It’s Disney’s to make and I think they’re interested and we’re talking.” Check out the moment that Curtis ran into Diego Luna and Fiona below.

“The Batman Part II” Will See Robert Pattinson Return To The Big Screen In 2025

Many were initially taken aback by Robert Pattinson landing the lead in the latest reboot of The Batman. Now that they’ve seen what he’s capable of in the suit, though, the world is eagerly awaiting the superhero film’s sequel.

A follow-up to the Matt Reeves-directed project was greenlit last April, and earlier this week, a release date was shared. As Variety reports, the earliest fans can expect to see the Twilight alum back in character alongside Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman will be in late 2025.

The sequel’s synopsis remains under wraps for the time being. However, we do know it’s a part of DC’s new “Elseworlds” category. James Gunn previously announced that any film or television series that doesn’t fall in the main DC Universe will be a part of this realm, similar to their DC Comics section.

Other upcoming projects on the same roster include Joker: Folie à Deux via Todd Phillips. Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, that movie is expected to arrive on October 4th, 2024. Additionally, there’s the ongoing animated series, Teen Titans Go! and a separate Superman film written by Ta-Nehisi Coates and produced by J.J. Abrams.

The latter of the two first made headlines in 2021 and has remained in active development since. At this time, executives are excitedly awaiting the arrival of a screenplay draft to review.

Pattinson and Reeves plan to continue their work with the DC Elseworlds Batman franchise. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t see someone else conquer the role in the DC Universe. Variety notes that a Batman & Robin movie is on the way for that category. It’s specifically based on “The Brave and Bold” comics.

For his part, the director also has another big project on his mind – Colin Farrell’s Penguin character spinoff series. Earlier this month, Reeves confirmed his plans to meet with Gunn to ensure that the “BatVerse” and the larger DC Universe don’t collide. Instead, he hopes the two stories are able to support each other.

Upon its debut, The Batman grossed $770 million worldwide at the box office. It’s currently available for streaming on HBO Max, or on Crave in Canada.

Are you excited for the sequel? Sound off in the comments, and check back later for more pop culture news.
