Ice Spice’s Rolling Loud Set Was Nearly Crashed By A Wild Fan: Watch

One of the year’s first big music festivals, Rolling Loud California, has run its course for another season, providing hip-hop lovers with plenty of unforgettable performances this past weekend. Friday’s (March 3) headliner, Playboi Carti, teased fans with a preview of music he has yet to release, though his set unfortunately ended early after someone in the crowd was injured. The next night, Travis Scott was in a similar situation as his performance was cut off at 11 PM, after just 30 minutes of his singing.

Thankfully, special guest Lil Wayne was taking over another Rolling Loud stage at the same time, and he brought some old friends along with him. 2 Chainz, who was also on this year’s lineup, joined the Louisana native to rap some of their past collaborations, and Gudda Gudda also came through to assist with “Bed Rock.” Of course, the YMCMB track wouldn’t be complete without Nicki Minaj, who stepped out to entertain audiences with a few throwbacks and new releases of her own.

On Sunday (March 5), the festival had an impressive closing roster of artists, including Central Cee, Shenseea, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Uzi Vert, and Future. Tory Lanez was also on the day’s lineup but was obviously unable to fulfill his commitment as he’s in jail. Thankfully, Rolling Loud was able to recruit Ice Spice to perform instead, and boy did patrons show out for her before she took the stage.

Unsurprisingly, there were some overzealous audience members in attendance. During the Bronx-born lyricist’s set, one, in particular, caused a spectacle as he attempted to charge the stage. In a clip from TMZ, the fellow redhead pleads on his knees, waving his arms in the air. “Spice, Spice!!!” he excitedly yells before running and being immediately blocked by numerous security guards.

The rest of the 23-year-old’s show went on without a hitch, and many social media users are discussing how she had one of the most packed audiences at the festival, despite many dubbing her a “one-hit wonder” in the weeks after “Munch (Feelin’ U)” blew up online. If there’s one thing that yesterday’s performance made certain, it’s that the rising rap diva isn’t going anywhere, and she’s only getting better. Drake’s Ex-Bodyguard Opens Up About Working With Him

Drake’s ex-bodyguard Mike Van Wyck recently opened up about his working relationship with him and what he was like. Moreover, Mike recently appeared on Money Buys Happiness and spoke on working with the 6 God for six years. Overall, he expressed that the biggest lesson he learned was an admiration for the Canadian star’s insane work ethic.

“I thought I had work ethic and I do,” Van Wyck expressed. “I guess if you ask people about me, I do work hard, I don’t really take days off and kinda of just grind all the time. But, to see a guy at that level — watch them go out night after night — especially on tours and perform, it’s robotic. In a very positive way. Not in a negative way.

“It’s engrained,” he said of Drake’s diligence. “This showmanship. This person, the person becomes on stage and how they perform from show to show — you could probably run the shows overlapping each other and it would look the same. There is that much consistency to it and you’d figure like someone that’s doing that kind of work would have a night off.

“I’m watching this person do this every night and to see the looks on these faces and to understand that level of work ethic and that level of consistency is pretty wild to see, in person” he concluded.

Meanwhile, he also shared a bit of backstory on how he first met the 36-year-old. “I had a connection to the group through 40. So, 40 and me went to the same camp when we were younger. We didn’t hang out at camp because we had different crews, but we knew who each other were. When I was just living my life and I would see stuff about Drake coming up. They would always mention this 40 guy and I was like that’s f***ing Noah.”

Also, Van Wyck expressed that Drizzy’s “always been a very supportive person in my life — supported me no matter what. He’s a really good dude.”

Still, what did you think of Drake’s ex-bodyguard’s reflections on their time together? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments and check out the full interview down below. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for more curious stories and moments of gratitude in the hip-hop game.

6ix9ine Receives Luxury Apartment Ban After Security Gets Careless With Assault Weapons

For 6ix9ine, life never seems to be easy. The New Yorker is no stranger to trouble. From feuding with other rappers to going ghost on his own legal team without paying them, he always seems to be in the middle of some drama. Now, he’s in hot water once again – this time for allowing his guards to get careless with their assault weapons during his stay at a Miami condo.

As TMZ reports, the “GOOBA” artist is receiving a ban from a boujee apartment complex down south. While in Florida, he typically crashes with Nelk Boys member SteveWillDoIt at his SLS Lux Property residence. After seeing how his entourage acts, however, the building’s association promptly shut that down.

A letter obtained by the outlet states that 6ix9ine came for a visit at the end of October. With him was a collection of bodyguards, who were openly carrying assault weapons with them.

Furthermore, one of the security staffers is said to have “casually left his assault weapon on his bag.” Afterward, he “walked away from it briefly to talk with others.” Understandably so, this is cause for major concern.

The documents additionally note that the condo board is “aware of the bounty placed on 6ix9ine’s life in exchange for information regarding others and [his own] provocative antics” following his prison stint.

At the end of the day, the association feels as though having the 26-year-old in the vicinity creates a “dangerous situation for its residents, guests, employees, and staff members.”

TMZ has clarified that it’s unclear if unsafe things were occurring during 6ix9ine’s stays. However, they did obtain a video of someone with a gun waiting for the controversial celebrity outside.

In happier news, Tekashi caused a serious stir online earlier this month. Surprisingly, photos of him proposing in Dubai appeared online. Read more about that here, and check back later for more hip-hop news updates.

Jack Harlow Fan Rushes Rapper On Stage

Between singing, dancing, and partying, concerts are poised for wild nights. However, they can also be a place for bad decisions that some people can’t stop themselves from making. Rushing a stage almost always ends at least somewhat badly for the fans involved, and often, it’s downright embarrassing.

Playboi Carti listeners remember the time when a fan tried his luck going fisticuffs with the “Magnolia” rapper before being tackled off stage by Carti’s finest security linebackers. Luckily, when a woman rushed Jack Harlow’s stage recently, things didn’t end as violently.

Harlow initially looked jump-scared, but he didn’t seem overly frazzled. Security was slow to respond as Harlow attempted to keep the fan at arm’s length. After receiving the surprise visit, security gently pulled her away.

Fans found this moment of the concert especially amusing, in large part due to the bars the rapper was spitting at the time. Jack was performing “Industry Baby” and was in the midst of singing the lyrics: “And these girls know that I’m nasty, I sent her back to her boyfriend with my handprint on her a** cheek.”

Jack Harlow has developed a reputation for being one of the smoothest artists in hip-hop, so it’s no surprise he handles random encounters like these so well. He rarely has unpleasant interactions with fans and is even known to bring lucky fans from the audience up on stage with him during his concerts.

All things considered, the woman probably made a smart choice to rush Mr. Harlow over any other artist. Check out the clip below.
