Alaina Scott, Eminem’s Daughter, Leads Humble Life Working At Salon In Michigan

Eminem may be one of the richest rappers on the planet, but his family still wants to work hard to make their own bread. Moreover, new pictures released by The U.S. Sun show his adopted daughter Alaina Scott working as an esthetician at a hair salon and spa in Rochester Hills, Michigan. According to a source from the publication, the 30-year-old is having a great time at her job, and always sought to forge her own path following her college degree. It’s not something she shows off on social media, but a routine and dedication she should be proud of nonetheless. Alaina lives nearby the salon with her husband, which Marshall Mathers attended and even walked her down the aisle for.

In addition, Alaina Scott’s previously spoken about her job on Eminem’s biological daughter Hailie Jade’s podcast. “I’m about to go back to esthetician school,” she remarked in their conversation, released online before these new pictures emerged. “It’s only a four-month program. I can learn how to do facials, makeup, waxing, all that kind of stuff. Why not further my education for four months?”

For those unaware, Eminem and his now ex-wife Kim adopted Alaina Scott during their relationship (her biological mother is Kim’s late sister Dawn). The couple raised her, and the 30-year-old remains quite close to both despite their separation. In previous songs like “Mockingbird,” the rapper’s spoken about their bond. “Lainey, uncle’s cr*zy ain’t he, yeah but he loves you girl and you better know it,” the Detroit MC sang, saying she and Hailie are “pretty much sisters.” “And Daddy’s still here,” he continued. “Lainey I’m talking to you too, Daddy’s still here. I like the sound of that, yeah, it’s got a ring to it, don’t it?”

“I have full custody of my niece,” Slim Shady told Rolling Stone of Alaina all the way back in 2004. “My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.” For more news and the latest updates on Eminem and his family, stick around on HNHH and check out the pictures of Alaina in the Via link below.

Drake’s Ex-Bodyguard Opens Up About Working With Him

Drake’s ex-bodyguard Mike Van Wyck recently opened up about his working relationship with him and what he was like. Moreover, Mike recently appeared on Money Buys Happiness and spoke on working with the 6 God for six years. Overall, he expressed that the biggest lesson he learned was an admiration for the Canadian star’s insane work ethic.

“I thought I had work ethic and I do,” Van Wyck expressed. “I guess if you ask people about me, I do work hard, I don’t really take days off and kinda of just grind all the time. But, to see a guy at that level — watch them go out night after night — especially on tours and perform, it’s robotic. In a very positive way. Not in a negative way.

“It’s engrained,” he said of Drake’s diligence. “This showmanship. This person, the person becomes on stage and how they perform from show to show — you could probably run the shows overlapping each other and it would look the same. There is that much consistency to it and you’d figure like someone that’s doing that kind of work would have a night off.

“I’m watching this person do this every night and to see the looks on these faces and to understand that level of work ethic and that level of consistency is pretty wild to see, in person” he concluded.

Meanwhile, he also shared a bit of backstory on how he first met the 36-year-old. “I had a connection to the group through 40. So, 40 and me went to the same camp when we were younger. We didn’t hang out at camp because we had different crews, but we knew who each other were. When I was just living my life and I would see stuff about Drake coming up. They would always mention this 40 guy and I was like that’s f***ing Noah.”

Also, Van Wyck expressed that Drizzy’s “always been a very supportive person in my life — supported me no matter what. He’s a really good dude.”

Still, what did you think of Drake’s ex-bodyguard’s reflections on their time together? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments and check out the full interview down below. Also, as always, come back to HNHH for more curious stories and moments of gratitude in the hip-hop game.

Tate McRae Is The Cool Babysitter In Her ‘Working’ Video With Khalid

After dancing since she was in elementary school, 17-year-old Canadian artist Tate McRae is seeing a successful launch of her singing career. “I always used to say ‘I’m a dancer who sings, not a singer who dances.’ That’s how it always went,” McRae told Uproxx in a recent interview. Now after dropping her debut EP Too Young To Be Sad, McRae has linked up with Khalid to flex some of her choreography skills in the “Working” video.

McRae’s “Working” visual opens with her feeling despondent at a high school graduation party before it gives a look at what she has in store for the rest of her summer vacation. She gets a job as a laid-back babysitter, watching the kids play video games and go for joyrides in the car, all while she can’t help but get a failing relationship out of her mind.

Ahead of the visual’s release, McRae told Uproxx that she doesn’t want to be pigeonholed into just one genre. “The crazy thing is that I’m still trying to find my sound,” she said. “I think there are a million different ways that you can play around, and a different million different artists [to work with] that will shoot you in different directions. But I can’t really define what I do [musically]. I think it changes every month… you can do so many things nowadays.”

Tate McRae And Khalid Are ‘Working’ It In Their Bouncy New Collaboration

When this year began, we named Tate McRae as one of the year’s rising pop stars to watch, and boy has she delivered on that. The multi-talented dancer, singer and songwriter has been on a tear of late, kicking off with her Too Young To Be Sad EP in March, McRae has since released a collaboration with Troye Sivan, “You,” and a gloomy new ballad for Amazon’s Panic series called “Darkest Hour.” Today she’s back with another new big collaboration, though, this time featuring R&B “Location” darling Khalid, who is “Working” alongside her on their bouncy new single.

Tate’s rise from dance superstar to one of the year’s most prominent new pop voices is well-documented, but it seems like this new single is going to catapult her into the spotlight in an even bigger way. On the track, the two young musicians trade verses about their, well, work ethic. “I am so stoked for this song I did with Khalid,” Tate said in a press release. “I usually release a lot of songs that are pretty emotional but this one is just a straight summer bop. We had such a fun time creating this song — I seriously can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
