Raleigh, North Carolina’s annual three-day Hopscotch Music Festival returns this week with acts like King Krule, Pavement, Margo Price, Denzel Curry, Dinosaur Jr., and Japanese Breakfast playing on the main outdoor stages and shows Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at seven other venues around the downtown area. You can find the set times for the main stages below.
The lineup runs the gamut from folk and rock to EDM and hip-hop (and everything in between), kicking off Thursday at 3:30 pm. The two main stages are located at City Plaza and Moore Square, one of Raleigh’s two surviving original parks. Meanwhile, shows at Kings, Lincoln Theater, Nash Hall, Neptunes, The Pour House (best bar name ever), Slims, Transfer Co., and Wicked Witch begin at either 9 or 9:30 pm each night so festival-goers can keep the party going after enjoying the main stage acts.

Beyoncé held her birthday Renaissance Tour show in Los Angeles last night (September 4), and it truly was one for the books. Not only did Diana Ross and Kendrick Lamar join her on stage to celebrate, but the celebs in the audience were making headlines, too.
Their outing came as a shock, as last month, reports surfaced in Us Weekly that the couple were reportedly taking a break. According to a source, they hadn’t “been spending that much time together recently because they both have very busy schedules,” but remained friends. (Things have clearly changed since then, or it wasn’t the case.)
Fans, after the clips went viral, had a lot of thoughts. “BEAUTIFUL COUPLE not kylie and timmy,” one user wrote, instead dropping a video of Tom Holland and Zendaya, who were also at last night’s show.

Earlier this summer, the disappearance of Carlee Russell sent shock waves across the internet. Initially, people were concerned about the well-being of the missing Black woman, who claimed to have pulled over to the side of the road to assist a child. When Russell resurfaced at her parent’s house a few days later, however, questions began to arise about the validity of her claims. Ultimately it was discovered that there was no toddler on the highway, and then most of what Carlee shared with authorities wasn’t exactly accurate.
Now that Russell is facing criminal charges, her ex, Thomar Simmons, is sharing more of his thoughts on the situation. “I mean we had a little argument but it wasn’t nothing to kidnap yourself over,” he reflected. “I’m confused, like what happened? What made you do this? I don’t understand.” In his podcast episode, the creator also made it clear that he had nothing to do with Carlee’s scheme, and that he’s not seeking any clout from the incident.
“I was in the heat looking for my girl, bruh. Why would I do all of this for clout, bruh?” Simmons asked. “It really traumatized me,” he also noted. Interestingly, it wasn’t long after Russell and her man went their separate ways that he was put on blast for hosting a club event in hopes of connecting with a new woman to help heal his heart. Unfortunately for Simmons, it never came to be after a lawyer allegedly advised him not to partake.
The discourse surrounding Carlee Russell’s kidnapping hoax has obviously died down in recent weeks, but still, it was one of the most noteworthy crime stories of the summer. The 25-year-old is currently awaiting her fate after bonding out of jail in late July. Especially, after Kourtney’s brief hospital stay that forced her husband, Travis Barker, to rush home and postpone some of Blin-182’s shows in Europe. She took a trip to Chalamet’s Beverly Hills home that was caught by paparazzi. Representatives for both celebs refused to comment on the visit which drove even more public speculation on the pair.

Over the past few months, Ross has been mourning his friendship with fellow creator IShowSpeed. Adin claims that Speed no longer texts him. Overall, this has led to some claiming that Speed abandoned Adin, especially while he was going through hard times. In a recent stream, Adin even claimed to have sent multiple paragraphs to Speed via text, however, he never replied. According to Drama Alert, Speed’s camera man Slipz was made aware of this by a random Twitter user.
Slipz replied to the person, stating that Ross’ comments are all for show. “He’s texting the wrong number and knows that he just baiting y’all,” Slipz wrote. Overall, this is a pretty hefty accusation. Effectively, he is saying that Adin is manipulating his viewers so that Speed looks like a bad person. Overall, it would be a huge stain on Ross’ character if it were true. Although, these are simply just allegations right now. It is one of those things that will prove extremely difficult to prove.
