R Kelly’s Daughter Reveals Where Their Relationship Stands After Sexual Abuse Allegations

Yesterday (October 11), TVEI Streaming Network released its two-part documentary, Karma: A Daughter’s Journey. The doc features accounts from R Kelly’s family members, including his daughter Buku Abi. Abi, born Joann Kelly, alleged that the singer sexually abused her as a child.

“I really feel like that one millisecond completely just changed my whole life and changed who I was as a person and changed the sparkle I had and the light I used to carry… I just remember waking up to him touching me. And I didn’t know what to do, so I just kind of laid there, and I pretended to be asleep,” she alleged. Now, In a lengthy Instagram post, she’s clarified where her relationship with her father stands.

Buku Abi Says She Doesn’t “Hate” Her Father R Kelly

“I will by start by saying growing up and throughout my early adulthood, I swore to never speak on my father, or really anything pertaining to my personal life and what I’ve experienced. For many reasons but ultimately fear and I didn’t want to remember. Anything. Let me first clearly say this I DO NOT ‘hate’ MY FATHER. Nor do I blindly follow my mother. I’m not angry, I’m not looking for revenge. I’m not looking for clout. (I am and BEEN more than that I could care less about people’s opinions. Good or bad. (And I say that with the utmost respect),” she wrote in part.

Abi went on to explain that she decided to come forward now for the sake of her own peace of mind, her son, and more. “I did it to look my biggest demon in the eyes and tell ’em I’m done,” she said. 1oneam Drops Off Deluxe Of “One Life” With “One Death”

We are happy to welcome another newcomer to the HNHH site this weekend, as we are taking a look at 1oneam and his new tape, One Death. Not much is available on the rapper, singer, and producer, as he keeps a pretty low profile on his social media pages. He’s been in the underground trap/Pluggnb scenes for the last three years though, so this looks to be just the way he moves in general. He hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which has mostly been dominated by the low-end scene. To the trained ears, you may be able to track down some references to that wave, but 1oneam seems to borrow more from his ATL counterparts.

As we said, we are listening to his new project, One Death, which boasts eight songs of truly rich soundscapes. They range from intoxicating and woozy, to ethereal and dark. He also shows off his creative side on this eight-song tape, as he incorporates random sound effects like on “Facetime” and “Alicia Keys.” On the former 1oneam samples the FaceTime ringtone and works into the whimsical chime-laced beat. Then, on the latter, he heads to the world of Minecraft and uses the door opening and closing sound effect. Even though this is a separate listening experience, it’s also not. According to Genius, this is a deluxe extension of his May album One Life. That tape was 14 tracks but similarly had no features. Diddy’s Ex Bodyguard Claims Jay-Z Allegedly Hid From 2Pac In A Vegas Hotel Room

Gene Deal, who used to be a bodyguard for Diddy, has relayed a lot of allegations and claims about the Bad Boy mogul amid his massive scandal. But not every one of his hip-hop history recollections have to do with Sean Combs. For example, Deal recently sat down with Cam Capone News and told a curious story about Jay-Z and a Las Vegas concert he had in the late 1990s. Allegedly, the New York rapper received news that Tupac Shakur heard about his Vegas show, and this was at the height of the East Coast and West Coast beef also involving Biggie, Bad Boy, Death Row… You know the story.

“I don’t know how Pac found out that Jay-Z had a show, but Jay-Z was not coming out that room,” Diddy’s former bodyguard alleged. According to his claims, some people had to step in and help. These include Chaz Williams, Big D, Eric B, and finally Suge Knight. “Suge said, ‘Yo, man, that ain’t me. That’s Pac with his wild a**.’ Suge Knight told Pac to give Jay-Z a pass so he could go do his concert, because Jay wasn’t coming out of that room, you know, to do nothing,” Gene Deal claimed.

Diddy’s Former Bodyguard Tells Alleged Jay-Z & Tupac Story

However, this isn’t the first time that Gene Deal has told this alleged story, as he did so on The Art Of Dialogue in 2022. Still, nothing then and nothing now corroborates or backs any of this up, so this isn’t straight-up fact. Deal also speculated that, while he doesn’t really know why Tupac Shakur supposedly wanted to confront Jay-Z, he thinks that it could be as a result of Hov’s “Brooklyn’s Finest” collab with Biggie Smalls from 1996’s Reasonable Doubt.

Funnily enough, Irv Gotti told Fat Joe in 2020 that he warned Jay-Z to not record that track. “I was dead set against it,” he shared. “I was telling Jay, ‘Don’t do it, don’t do it.’ And he was like, ‘Why?’ I was like, ‘Big, he’s too strong. Before we take over the world, we gotta take over the West Coast. Before we take over the West Coast, we gotta take over the East Coast, before we take over the East Coast, we gotta take over New York, before we take over New York, you got to take over Brooklyn. And he owns all that.’ And I was like, ‘This n***a’s not a wack n***a.’ I was in fear like, ‘Yo, you may came off like his little man,’ you understand?”

Benzino and Eminem’s beef goes way back, but amid some exciting new developments in the latter’s personal life, it looks like it could be over for good. During a recent interview with TMZ Hip Hop, Benzino shared that he wants to put the past behind him. To prove it, he even revealed that he congratulated Em after he learned he was going to be a grandfather.

“At 59 years old enough is enough like come on man. Like, listen you know I have four children. I’m not a grandfather yet. The irony is that he did say nobody wanted to hear their grandpa rap on [‘Nail in the Coffin’],” The Source icon explained. “After all these years I’m saying man wouldn’t it be something if he was a grandfather before me? I swear I used to think that.”

Benzino Says He Wants To Make Amends With Eminem Once And For All

“This is a moment of joy and I’m glad I have this platform and I want to congratulate him again on being a grandfather and his daughter Hailey,” Benzino continued. “Eminem has touched a lot of people. Our situation, back-and-forth I just want everybody to know it’s hip-hop. Battling in hip-hop has been since day one okay and I don’t want people to think that I wish any harm on him or any bad intentions, streetwise.” He went on to describe how he’d like to have a “real conversation” with the rapper, so they can finally put their feud to rest after over two decades.

On this date in 1999, Rapper/actor/social activist Yasiin Bey, who was formally recognized by the Hip Hop world as Mos Def, released his first solo album, Black On Both Sides on the Rawkus/Columbia imprint.

On his debut album following the Black Star album with Talib Kweli, Mos Def kept it all the way Brooklyn, with his lyrical gymnastics laced with social commentary for the technology-addicted Internet generation. Songs like “Mathematics” and “Mr. N***a” reflect the cultural climate of 1999 while his borough anthem “Brooklyn” and love interest story “Ms. Fat Booty” keep the ear in the streets tuned in.

Ari Lennox Is Permanently Leaving Social Media Due To The Singer’s ‘Very Toxic’ And ‘Codependent Relationship’ With The Apps

Ari Lennox is back online, but only for a limited time. Periodically, the “Waste My Time” singer would hop on her Instagram page to share different life updates, including milestones in her sobriety journey or discuss difficult moments in her career as well as hiring opportunities.

However, that will soon all come to an end. Yesterday (October 11), Ari Lennox took to her Instagram page one last time to announce that she would be permanently leaving social media after December 18. While Ari’s online commentary and livestreams (which have been featured in her music) have become a thing of legend, it has landed her in hot water.

Instead of being tempted to access her profiles later, she seems to be planning to delete her accounts entirely. But she will remain in contact with support through an email newsletter. As sad as this may be to fans, Ari Lennox did confirm new music is on the way and a new tour is in the works.

Hey ❤ I’m working on a plan to transition off of social media for good. I don’t believe I’ll ever mature and be happy as long as I have it. So my last day of socials will be December 18th, my 2-year sobriety anniversary. I will be deleting my FB, IG and TikTok permanently. The fear of losing brand deals, music sales, n****s and b*tches will no longer keep me here. To all of my beautiful fans, I’m just not happy nor thriving here. I have a very toxic and codependent relationship with these apps. My happiness is worth more to me, than using these platforms to promote. I truly believe I can get creative with marketing elsewhere. I’m so exhausted with my addiction to the internet and gossip and attention and validation and yearning to be in control and over sharing. I just want to be free and complete.

Zach Zoya Opts For An Alternative Soundscape On His Cheery “It’s Always Sunny In Glendale” EP

Zach Zoya is a pretty eclectic guy and doesn’t really conform to one genre and he shows that blissful ignorance on It’s Always Sunny in Glendale. This the fourth EP from the Canadian youngster, who made this project based on some experiences between Montreal and Los Angeles, as well as Glendale. In his announcement, Zoya said, “New city, new vibes, new energy, new people around me, new trials and tribulations, new ups and downs. Safe to say this past year has been a deeply challenging and formative one,” he began. “I only get to do what I do because of the team behind me, friends around, music lovers everywhere. Thank you to everyone who’s helped me make this project a reality. What a life, spent my twenties chasing sunshine🧡🧡🧡🧡.”

Clearly, this project has a lot of personal weight in his eyes, and we can hear the passion in each track. Whether he’s singing or rapping, he’s making sure to bring it 110% every time. Throughout the 17-minute listening experience, it’s definitely taking us back to those hotter months as the grooves and instrumentals embody the West Coast. You can tell that Zoya was heavily inspired by the new sights he got to witness during the making of Always Sunny in Glendale. The project arrives after a highly raved performance at Osheaga earlier in the year. So, overall, he’s definitely on a high right now and we are here for it.

Tia Kemp never fails to have something shocking to accuse her ex, Rick Ross, of. Needless to say, her recent appearance on Unwine With Tasha K was no exception. At one point in the episode, the gossip blogger asked Kemp to elaborate on her allegation that Ross slept with Gucci Mane’s wife Keyshia Ka’oir while the rapper was in jail.

According to her, she watched Ka’oir allegedly pick Rick Ross up from his house herself. “I seen it with my own eyes when she was wearing that blue lipstick and mohawk and all that,” she alleged. “When she came over there when Gucci was in jail and she came to pick him up from the house.”

This isn’t the first fans have heard of this story, however. In January of this year, she told the same story on Instagram Live. “Gucci Mane, he f*cked Keyshia Ka’oir while you was in prison,” Kemp alleged. “I seen her pulling out from his studio house in that Rolls-Royce she was driving. It was a white one. This the truth though, allegedly, and it’s the truth. I ain’t gotta lie. Lie detectives pay me. It’s going to be in the book. I don’t give a f*ck. They can’t sue me. I ain’t lying. That girl better go prove to her husband and Rozay that I’m telling the truth. ‘Cause he told me he done f*cked all these n****s h*es.”

At the time, Ka’oir shut these accusations down on her Instagram Story. “Ain’t neva had no dealings with Rick Ross PERIOD!” she wrote. “Keep my name out y’all mix up! Ross & my husband are friends! “That’s my family for life, regardless,” the “Diamonds” singer clarified when the reporter asked about that “in-laws” title suggestively, yet another speculative hint about marriage. Regardless of all the theorizing, fans are just happy to see Rihanna and A$AP Rocky build their life and celebrate each other and their family. Also, it’s not like a ring is the end-all, be-all factor of a healthy and loving relationship.

“It’s crazy how we find balance with our chaotic schedules,” ASAP Rocky told Billboard about Rihanna. “[The relationship] is going great. I don’t think there’s a more perfect person because when the schedules are hectic, she’s very understanding of that. And when the schedule’s freed up, that’s when you get to spend [the] most time together. It’s all understanding and compatibility.”

9lives Produces An Ethereal Jersey Club Piece With “My Way” Featuring Rico Nasty & Kanii

9lives, one of the more popular underground producers going today, has a new breakup single out this weekend called “my way.” It features the ever so talented and versatile Rico Nasty, as well as frequent collaborator of the New Zealand native, Kanii. The 20-year-old really likes what he has here with “my way,” especially when it comes to Ms. Nasty’s portions. “Rico killed her verse and hook. It feels to me that she’s talking about her ex, and that nothing is going to get in her way of moving on. I think that it’s empowering for anyone who’s going through something right now.” This is 9lives’ latest single, as it follows up on his collaboration with Kanii and Anycia on “I DID IT” back in August.

The song is catchy thanks to both of his guest’s melodies, but also because of the beat. Here, 9lives lays down a Jersey club instrumental that’s tender and light on its feet. That quality is brought out thanks to its softer drum patterns and ethereal background. The layers continue from there, though. 9lives includes synths that sound like ones from Minecraft or some other indie sandbox game. Overall, he has been dropping a lot lately, so there is some hope that an album is imminent. Nothing has been announced yet though, so we are just going to have to wait and see. But he does have a tour coming up. According to a press release, he will be starting his trek in Hamburg, Germany on November 30. Kanii is joining 9lives and the #BLUE tour will run through December 17.
