Cardi B has dealt with no shortage of drama in recent weeks, mostly involving her split from Offset. She and the former Migos member decided to make their breakup official at the end of July when she filed for divorce. Shortly after, she announced that she was pregnant with their third child, who she gave birth to last month. Tensions between the co-parents have risen since, but it doesn’t look like Cardi is letting that get her down.

Recently, she celebrated her birthday with a stay at a luxury Airbnb in Paris. The property overlooks the Eiffel Tower and costs a staggering $50K per night. She thanked Airbnb for the stay, sharing an Instagram recap of her trip yesterday. Now, she’s thanking her supporters for their heartfelt birthday wishes.

“I can’t say thank you enough to all my social media besties and cousins! All the love you sent me and all the posts you made to celebrate me could never go unnoticed! You all are truly one in a million!” she wrote earlier today. Cardi B included a series of photos featuring her little ones, including her newborn daughter. Fans continue to flood her with birthday wishes, and messages about the exciting things to come in her next year of life. Her sophomore album, for example, is just on the horizon.

This isn’t the only birthday Cardi B has celebrated recently, however. ELUCID Gets Gritty & Real On “REVELATOR”

ELUCID may turn some casual listeners off with his new album REVELATOR due to his wordy bars and chaotic production. But for those that want to stay and here what the underground New Yorker has to say, you are going to be rewarded. This is his third studio LP and its out under Fat Possum Records. ELUCID teased it back in August with a pair of singles, “INSTANT TRANSFER” and “SLUM OF A DISREGARD.” The former features his Armand Hammer co-star billy woods, who has another feature on the 15-song set. On REVELATOR, ELUCID is presenting pressing topics that relate to oppression, racism, violence, and more. One thing that all of these issues have in common is that all require a sense urgency to quell these societal dilemmas that plague everyone.

The frenetic and industrial production across REVELATOR exudes that tenfold, as does ELUCID’s delivery. It’s loud still in the midst all of the raucous happening around him so his messages don’t get lost. It’s really a perfect balance and it’s got us thinking it’s going to be an album of the year candidate when it’s all said and done. There’s still about two and a half months left, but it’s certainly cemented in our top 10 if not top five at the moment. GloRilla & Pharrell Bring The Heat To Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

Our latest Fire Emoji playlist update is here to round up the best of the best hip-hop releases of the week. Leading the way, of course, is the new debut studio album from GloRilla, GLORIOUS, and it’s about as fun, bombastic, grimy, and hard-hitting as you would expect. The energy is on high all the way through, especially thanks to standouts like “WHATCHU KNOW ABOUT ME” featuring Sexyy Red. Elsewhere, Pharrell came through with the soundtrack for his LEGO biopic Piece By Piece, which goes through many of his best tracks and productions. But there are some new gems too, such as Tyler, The Creator’s “VIRGINIA BOY” remix.

Moving along on Fire Emoji, we have Cordae’s new single “Mad As F*ck” with its easy-going trap beat and some pretty standard but nonetheless well-spat flows. His performance on here is a bit more brag-heavy, catchy, confident, and aggressive than we’re used to, which is always a welcome change in either direction – especially ahead of a new project on the way. In addition, Lil Durk continues to build hype for his next album Deep Thoughts with the new single “Late Checkout” featuring Hunxho. It comes just a week before the LP comes out, and points to some of the melancholic and lovelorn narratives that could pop up on it.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist: Stream

Speaking of albums, BigXthaPlug came through with TAKE CARE, which is one of the more raw and slow-burning releases you’ll hear on Fire Emoji this week. That’s not only due to the slow Southern trap that he embodies so well on cuts like “Leave Me Alone,” but also thanks to how his storytelling and deliveries stick with you after you finish the album. Moving across the Atlantic, we have a new record to talk about from Skepta and Flo Milli titled “Why Lie?” It’s one of the more melodic performances you’ll find in his recent catalog.

Finally, we wanted to shout out Ab-Soul’s new song, “Squeeze 1St 2.” The sample flip and percussive swing here is engaging, the flows are beautifully unrestrained, and his bars remain clever and compelling. October London Pens Some Evening Love Joints For “October Nights”

South Bend, Indiana singer and songwriter is bringing one sultry R&B cut after another on his latest album, October Nights. This is actually the Death Row Records signee’s sophomore effort, and it comes just over a year after his debut, The Rebirth of Marvin. London has been doing his thing in this genre for several years now, and he’s known for his throwback sound that embodies the greats of the 90’s decade. He was able to lend his abilities to the latest NxWorries project Why Lawd? and he honestly was a perfect fit on “FromHere.”

Now, Ocotber London is bringing that tenfold on October Nights. Across this project, you are going to genuinely hear some of the most show-stopping solo performances all year. One of them is on the power ballad “Don’t Go,” as he calls out to a girl to never leave his side. The instrumentals are spacey and have that vintage tinge, and they highlight what London is able to do best. That being those captivating vocals and funky grooves. In talking with Rated R&B, London tells the publication what his goals were for this tape. “Just having fun. Nighttime is the best time for me… October Nights represents having a good time in the nighttime and letting loose.” He accomplished that and then some, so check it out below.

Kanye West Allegedly Shoots His Shot With Streamer & Adult Star In Alleged Leaked DMs

Kanye West is facing a lot of disturbing allegations as of late, but this less egregious (albeit still divisive) allegation from streamer and adult content creator Amouranth might not be all the way true. For those unaware, she reportedly shared a screenshot of Ye allegedly sending her various DMs after her appearance on the PillowTalk podcast, although it’s unclear where she posted it or if it’s confirmed that she’s the one who shared it. In the alleged message exchange, the streamer basically expresses confusion over his alleged “hit me when done” opener, which he allegedly followed up with the following messages: “I just want to say when can we lock in?” and “If you want to hang and listen to Vultures song.”

If you search this situation up on social media sites like Twitter, you will see how there are some folks claiming that Amouranth actually faked these DMs, that someone else is behind this supposedly false allegation, or that someone else leaked the allegedly real interaction without their permission. However, all these allegations remain unconfirmed and speculative at press time. In fact, Amouranth seemed to call out a fake Kanye West account online to prove her claims… Or disprove that it was her? This whole situation is a bit of an unclear mess, so take these allegations about the Bully artist with a grain of salt.

Kanye West’s Alleged DMs To Streamer

Regardless, Kanye West has much more damning allegations to address. Lauren Pisciotta, his former assistant who previously sued him for alleged sexual harassment, reportedly filed a new lawsuit accusing him of allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting her. At press time, Ye has not responded publicly to these allegations. He also previously denied her harassment allegations against him.

Amouranth Responds

Meanwhile, other folks are speculating on what the Chicago creative is up to in Tokyo, whether or not he and Bianca Censori got a divorce, and a whole lot else. It’s a murky and unclear time for him when it comes to the current headlines around him, and we don’t know if he will respond to any of this. We’ll see what’s next for Kanye West…

Nicki Minaj Invites Sexyy Red & 50 Cent To Close Out “Pink Friday 2” World Tour

The Pink Friday 2 World Tour is one of the most successful hip-hop treks of all time, so it’s no surprise that Nicki Minaj wanted to close things off with a bang. She held her last concert of the tour on Friday (October 11) in Elmont, New York, and brought along some special guests to grace the stage. Sexyy Red and 50 Cent (who was already an invited performer on this tour) hit the stage alongside the Trinidadian rap legend. The crowd was loving it, the artists themselves seemed to have a lot of fun, and it was overall a great close to this historic run.

Of course, it’s not like the Pink Firday 2 World Tour wasn’t without its fair share of salacious social media headlines and a few controversies here and there. One of these was how Nicki Minaj’s ex Safaree attended a show, something that Nicki seemed to not be so happy with. “When you’re at peace and when you’re happy, so many things will start coming, you know to try to steal your joy and to steal your peace you know,” she allegedly responded to his appearance via Stationhead. “Please don’t let it.”

Nicki Minaj Performs With Sexyy Red & 50 Cent

As for Sexyy Red and 50 Cent, they both have recent collaborations with Nicki Minaj as part of the Pink Friday 2 era, so seeing them close out the tour with her fit perfectly. Elsewhere, though, she’s dealing with a lot of other issues and obstacles, such as the alleged assault case against her and her husband Kenneth Petty. Still, nothing slowed this tour down, and nothing succeeded in silencing the Barbz. We’ll see what other updates and storylines emerge or develop further in the near future.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj also has a few rap feuds on her desk, although she doesn’t want to claim involvement where there is none. For example, she denied hiring Kelsey Harris, Megan Thee Stallion’s former best friend, to promote her sneaker line. Travis Scott Announced As ComplexCon’s Artistic Director

Complex recently announced that Travis Scott will have a much larger role for their ComplexCon in Las Vegas on November 16 and 17 than we originally thought. They already announced him and his Cactus Jack collective as headliners for Sunday (November 17), preceded by his good friends Playboi Carti, Opium, and Metro Boomin on Saturday (November 16). However, it turns out that La Flame is now the Artistic Director for the event as a whole, per a press release that details the moves below. He will curate the music, art, and streetwear extravaganza with his Cactus Jack brand, which will also bring exclusive merch designs and, more likely than not, sneaker drops and other collabs.

Not only that, but Travis Scott will bring “CactusCon” to life for Complex‘s event even when folks visiting the festival are chilling in their hotel. The Resort World will transform into “Cactus Jack Hotel,” and ComplexCon will also seemingly immerse itself into his universe. What’s more is that the Houston superstar has more accolades and achievements on the way. BET will honor him with the “I Am Hip-Hop” award at the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards, which will air very soon this month.
