Kyle Richh Of Rap Group 41 Drops Party Banger “Trick”

It is crazy to think that about a year and some change ago Lil Uzi Vert shocked the world with “Just Wanna Rock.” It somewhat revived the Jersey club sound with its viral accompanying dance. The song could turn any boring party into a rager. Producing genius MCVertt was the main man behind it all. You know when that “Project, Project, X, X, X” producer tag comes in, it is about to go down. He is behind what is bound to be another hit song inspired by that sound called “Trick,” by 41 & Kyle Richh.

The latter names hail from Brooklyn, New York, and they specialize in drill as well as some Jersey club. 41 is a rap trio that is made up of Kyle, as well as TaTa, and Jenn Carter. “Trick” is an exclusive Kyle Richh track, but the fact that 41 is included, has us feeling like this could be a future album single. That is all speculation, but keep that in the back of your mind.

Listen To “Trick” By Kyle Richh & 41

41 was last seen on a nonstop banger with fellow drill superstar Fivio Foreign called “Get Deady (Offa Pill).” The group has gotten so big that they even got to perform with Travis Scott during his Circus Maximus tour stop at MSG. Members of 41 have also been seen working with Sleepy Hallow among others. “Trick” is not as aggressive as “Get Deady,” but this is a party song for sure. The rumbling but low-key bass paired with Richh’s deep flows are great together. Check out the song above on YouTube.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Trick,” by Kyle Richh and 41? Is he the best member of the drill trio, why or why not? Do you think they will drop an album sometime this year? Are they the best drill artists right now? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Kyle Richh and 41. Finally, stay with us for the most informative song posts throughout the week.

Quotable Lyrics:

Gotta do it like this
I’m off the Wocky, my vision is shot (Wocky)
Movin’ slow, fell in love with the feelin’
Like, free bro, he got booked for the killin’ (Like, what?)
I’m with MC and 41 gremlins
Like, why is my name in being mentioned?

Baby Tate’s Lively ‘Jersey’ Track Finds A Beat To Dance To After Heartbreak

The latest artist to surf the club wave is Baby Tate, whose fittingly titled new single “Jersey” employs a thumping Jersey club beat with a catchy melodic hook and a lyrical tale about rejection. Tate sing-raps an open letter to a f*ckboy in her life, lambasting him for his lack of commitment. “Damn, we coulda really had a ball,” she laments. “Painted me a picture, but I saw / You only wanted the drawers.”

With so many artists adopting the Jersey sound — including Baby Tate’s fellow ATLien Kaliii — Tate is one of the ones who really lands it. She’s already got a record of experimenting with different sounds, so she doesn’t sound out of pocket here, the stripped-down Jersey beat doesn’t sound gimmicky or too busy, and unlike some of her contemporaries, Tate’s lyrics stick to the script conceptually. The effect is something like PinkPantheress and Ice Spice’s breakout hit “Boy’s A Liar” but with Tate performing both the singing and rapping halves.

On the hook, she sings, “I’m in the middle of New Jersey cryin’ in the club.” This ties the theme of the song more closely to the beat. Meanwhile, in the accompanying visualizer for the track, Tate visits her old elementary school, which suggests the innocence of young love (and an easily broken heart), while during the breakdown, she actually ends up in a club with her homegirls, dancing their cares away. It’s cute and a lot of fun, and honestly, it’d be great if more artists jumping on this trend put this level of effort in.

Doechii And Her Girls Do Exactly What The Song Says In Her Bikini-Clad ‘Booty Drop’ Video

It doesn’t appear as though the current wave of Jersey club-sampling rap hits is going to go away anytime soon. The latest rapper to ride the wave is TDE’s Doechii, who swipes Jersey club producer Uniiqu3’s 2018 song “Bubble Gum” and transforms it into a strip club-praising anthem, “Booty Drop,” which she previewed at the BET Awards earlier this year. The high-energy song is accompanied by a ’90s-inspired music video, shot with a camcorder aesthetic and even incorporating early video-editing software graphics like A Tribe Called Quest’s video for “Scenario.”

In the video, Doechii and her girl crew take a cruise on a yacht in their skimpiest bikinis, showing off their twerking skills and doing exactly what the sample incessantly commands: Making their booties drop.

Doechii’s star has risen rapidly over the past year since signing with TDE. Her Trillville-sampling single “What It Is” became a viral sensation courtesy of a wave of TikTok videos using the sound, she was featured on the XXL Freshman cover for 2022, she dropped her debut EP, She/Her/Black B*tch to critical acclaim, debuted at Coachella, and was tapped to appear on Janelle Monáe’s new album, all before being recruited by Doja Cat for her upcoming tour. She may be making booties drop, but her stock is only going up.
