24kGoldn Continues To Go Introspective On “Clarity”

24kGoldn really came on strong a couple of years ago. But, after a little bit of a break, the San Francisco, California product is gearing back up for a return. He was always able to deliver melodic, sometimes sappy tracks. But, this time, 24kGoldn is doing more of the ladder as of late. Who knows, maybe we will get some songs like “Mood” on his upcoming record.

Yes, you heard that correctly. After almost a two-year album hiatus, 24k is coming back with a new LP this year. Still only 23, the multi-hyphenate has announced Better Late Than Never, his sophomore offering. Interestingly though, 24kGoldn has been teasing this project since dropping El Dorado in 2021. The first rumored single that is on the Genius tracklist for the tape is “Prada” with Lil Tecca.

Logic Is Letting Go Of All The Stress On “Ultra 85” Lead Single “Fear”

Bobby Tarantino, aka Young Sinatra, aka Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, aka Logic, is back. The prolific Maryland MC, producer, and singer is delivering the first track from his heavily teased album Ultra 85. This will be his ninth studio album among the bevy of mixtapes he has released over the years. Logic does not hesitate to drop albums, but for some reason, this one has been on the back burner. But, we are getting it sometime this year, so at least it is happening.

Fans got a special treat just four days ago when the 34-year-old announced the LP on his social media accounts. Logic included the covert art, as well as a short trailer revealing the lead single release date. The name of the track is “Fear” and is his first solo drop since July 5. His closest collaborator/producer 6ix helped him produce the song.

“Fear” begins differently than some may expect. It has this fast-paced dance-like instrumental in the first leg. At this point, Logic is showing off his technical rapping abilities. But, the beat transitions about halfway through to a more familiar East Coast boom-bap vibe that Logic is known for. It slows down, allowing Logic to sing instead of rap at a blistering pace. USHER & Pheelz Deliver Light & Rhythmic Soul Cut “Ruin”

USHER is making his long overdue return to music very, very soon. The iconic performer and seductive R&B singer will finally be releasing his first album since 2018. That was a mini eight-song LP with fellow Georgian producer Zaytoven called “A” that had features from Future and Gunna. If you are wondering when USHER put out his last solo effort, you would have to return to 2016 with Hard II Love.

While dropping your first album in nearly six years is very exciting, performing at the Super Bowl is another reason to be giddy. It is safe to say USHER is feeling that way based on all of his recent interviews. The ageless 45-year-old superstar’s next album will be called COMING HOME and will have 20 tracks. YFN Lucci Drops “Free Me” Amid His Recent Legal Issues

YFN Lucci is dealing with a pretty major setback in his life right now. The veteran rapper hailing from the hip-hop hub of Atlanta, Georgia is currently under arrest after pleading guilty to one count of a violation against the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. This all went down for Lucci just about two weeks ago. However, there is a little bit of a silver lining in all of this.

It was originally reported that Lucci would have to serve a total of 20 years. 10 of those would be in prison, with the second half on probation. However, the sentence was updated to where he will only serve three and a half months in jail. Following that, Lucci will finish off the remainder of it on probation. While it is still not ideal, at least prison is out of the equation.

There is a large crowd out there that believes Lil Yachty is on a quote-unquote “generational run right now.” While that may be hard to believe for some, it is kind of hard to argue against that at this moment in time. The Georgia multi-hyphenate’s tear began in January of last year when he released Let’s Start Here. We talk about it a lot here on the site, but it is difficult not to when the album is so out of left field. Not only that, but it mainly stuck the landing.

Yachty’s psychedelic rock record is arguably his best work ever. Because of that, it seems he is more motivated than ever before. He was always consistent when it came to releasing music, but not with this level of aptitude. Lil Boat’s 2024 has been great so far as well, crossing over between genres. What is impressive about this 1:47-long track, is the lyrical prowess Yachty is displaying. It has similar vibes to his and J. College Park, Georgia rapper Rich The Kid is joining a host of mainstream rappers in dropping a massive album in 2024. Things are trending toward a spring release date for the fourth studio LP is his discography. The name of the project is LIFE’S A GAMBLE. According to HipHopDX, the features list is like the NBA All-Star Game. Names include Kanye West, Travis Barker, Offset, Rob49, among others. But, this is not the only thing Rick The Kid is working on.

He is also reuniting with his Rich Forever gang with Famous Dex and Jay Critch. They will be dropping the fifth entry in the self-titled series. A handful of singles have been released for that project, including “Rich & Reckless,” “Big Dawg,” and more. Chief Keef Announces “Hot Cheetos” Single For “Almighty So 2,” Fans Tired Of Constant Delays

There is a notorious bunch of rappers who are inconsistent when it comes to delivering on their album promises. Chicago’s Chief Keef is unfortunately in that group. While he is a highly respected and influential figure in the modern history of the genre, that is not enough for fans to excuse his shortcomings. In the 28-year-old’s case, die-hard listeners of his continue to impatiently wait for Almighty So 2.

People have been sitting around dying to hear what he has to offer on the sequel, but alas, it still is not here. If and when it does drop this year, Almighty So 2 will follow up on its predecessor nearly 11 years later. We say this year because Amazon Music and Genius have it slated for a release date in 2024. According to them, the project will be out on March 29. However, it is worth noting that Keef has not confirmed that. But, in addition to that news, the hitmaker has announced a single called “Hot Cheetos.”

ASAP Rocky Showcases Unreleased Westside Gunn Track During Orchestral Performance

With every year comes another wave of anticipated albums. ASAP Rocky’s has to be at the top of people’s lists in 2024. Throughout 2023, the New York multi-hyphenate relentlessly teased his forthcoming record Don’t Be Dumb. Many thought it would drop, especially after he came through with two singles “Same Problems?” and “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n).” Both brought different vibes and look to be additions to the tracklist when that ever gets revealed. If this year roughly follows the same song pattern as the one before it, then we could be in for a new treat very soon.

ASAP Rocky was in Europe this past weekend for a glamorous charity concert in Paris, according to HipHopDX. Many other music celebs were in attendance, including his “RIOT” collaborator Pharrell and his boo Rihanna. Besides the spectacle that was Rocky and his accompanying orchestra, the song that was played is what is getting the buzz. The track is rumored to be called “Whiskey” and it features Griselda rapper Westside Gunn.

Damon Albarn, one-half of the famed alternative band Gorillaz, is also in the mix. Clams Casino tag teams the production making for an all-star lineup. We have no true idea of what the original version sounds like, but Rocky’s rapping and flows are very solid. Late last year, ASAP and Westside were in the studio together, presumably working on “Whiskey,” according to HipHopDX. Gunn even detailed their link-up in the studio on Twitter, as seen above. This would not be their first collab, but, it sounds like it could be their best.

Icewear Vezzo And DaBaby Share Why They Are “Perfect”

Icewear Vezzo and DaBaby are repping the Midwest with pride on their brand-new single and first-ever collaboration. “Perfect” is the latest single to be shown off from Icewear’s forthcoming record, Live From The 6. The project is slated for a February 2 release, which is next Friday. This will be the Detroit native’s first album since his 2022 LP, Paint the City (Gangsta Grillz) [feat. DJ Drama].

On this cut, Vezzo and DaBaby are rapping about how they are “perfect” even with all of their missteps in life. SiR Brings All The Soul On “No Evil”

Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) may be the best label in all of hip-hop/R&B. However, they are also the most elusive collective as well. For example, ScHoolboy Q has not dropped an album since 2019. For the Inglewood, California singer, it has been nearly four years since we got his last full-length record, Chasing Summer. But, that drought appears to be coming to an end for SiR as well.
