Cardi B and Pardison Fontaine have been linked to each other for quite a few years. Both rappers have worked extensively together, with the latter helping the femcee write some of most recognizable hits. Some of those include “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, “Money,” “Up,” and even “Bodak Yellow.” Pardi has also been quoted numerous times, praising the gritty New York hitmaker. “Cardi’s a genius, period – on so many levels. I say this all the time. She would’ve been a star no matter what she chose to do,” Fontaine said.

“She would have been a star. That’s what she is. She really pioneered a lot of the energy that you see on the internet right now.” With the two artists having so much mutual respect for one another, it was no surprise to see them in the recording booth recently. A clip shared by Live Bitez and from what appeared to be an Instagram live, Cardi and Pardi were laughing it up and joking around with each other.

But internet trolls in the comments section always having negative to say even when it comes to wholesome moments like this. Fans were making jokes that Pardi is writing another hit for Cardi, “A song he wrote… duh,” one person wrote. Another was even going as far as to call out the femcee for working with Megan Thee Stallion’s ex. “Wait how u working with your friends opps,” she asked. Doja Cat still has a lot of haters out there, but that is not going to stop her one bit from making a massive return. A few days ago, the California rapper and singer revealed cover art for an upcoming single “Masc.” It went viral on social media, with fans declaring it was the artist’s “pubic hair” or “sheep’s wool”. However, she decided to clear the air, albeit frustratingly. “Let’s move forward. Let’s grow. “Cause I can’t tell you what to do, I’m not your f***ing parents. Like pubic hair? Really? That’s where we stand.” Dust settling aside, this Doja Cat track was announced to promote Scarlet 2: Claude Frollo, the deluxe of her last record.

According to HipHopDX, fans were treated to this pleasant news by way of a trailer and sneak peek of “Masc.” The teaser features Doja Cat in silhouette, complemented with smooth videography, and a white backdrop with a shadow of the spider from the Scarlet cover. However, for a brief moment, there is another figure shown to us. The person appears for just long enough for us to decipher that it is almost certainly Teezo Touchdown.

Fans in the comments spotted the massive shoulder pads and bowl haircut as well, with one person saying, “IS THAT TEEZO?!!!!” Genius also seems to believe that to be the case, as he is credited as a feature on “Masc.” There is a possibility of 11 bonus cuts, according to them, but we will not know for sure until it drops. Speaking of which, Scarlet 2: Claude Frollo will hit streaming services on Friday, April 5. Doja first teased the idea of a deluxe back in January.

ASAP Rocky Showcases Unreleased Westside Gunn Track During Orchestral Performance

With every year comes another wave of anticipated albums. ASAP Rocky’s has to be at the top of people’s lists in 2024. Throughout 2023, the New York multi-hyphenate relentlessly teased his forthcoming record Don’t Be Dumb. Many thought it would drop, especially after he came through with two singles “Same Problems?” and “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n).” Both brought different vibes and look to be additions to the tracklist when that ever gets revealed. If this year roughly follows the same song pattern as the one before it, then we could be in for a new treat very soon.

ASAP Rocky was in Europe this past weekend for a glamorous charity concert in Paris, according to HipHopDX. Many other music celebs were in attendance, including his “RIOT” collaborator Pharrell and his boo Rihanna. Besides the spectacle that was Rocky and his accompanying orchestra, the song that was played is what is getting the buzz. The track is rumored to be called “Whiskey” and it features Griselda rapper Westside Gunn.

Damon Albarn, one-half of the famed alternative band Gorillaz, is also in the mix. Clams Casino tag teams the production making for an all-star lineup. Late last year, ASAP and Westside were in the studio together, presumably working on “Whiskey,” according to HipHopDX. Gunn even detailed their link-up in the studio on Twitter, as seen above. This would not be their first collab, but, it sounds like it could be their best.

Luh Tyler And TiaCorine Will Collab For The First Time With “Yung Joc” Single On January 12

When two high-ceiling talents come together for the first time, the excitement for their work rises exponentially. That can be said about Florida youngster Luh Tyler and North Carolina native TiaCorine. Both of these artists began to gain notoriety within the last year and a half. Each of them possesses a pretty idiosyncratic sound, which makes this even more intriguing. Tyler’s voice is raspy and low-key and he can tap into a bunch of unique flows. As for Tia, she is a bit more high-energy.

Their production choices are fairly similar. Tyler and Tia like to go for softer beats but can also ride more traditional trap instrumentals. TiaCorine’s 2023 was pretty quiet. The 30-year-old only came through with two singles that were remixes of her hit “FreakyT.” One of them included Latto. Similarly, Tyler also worked with the Columbus femcee on “The Grinch Freestyle.” But, he was much busier, dropping a steady amount of singles, as well as different versions of his debut, My Vision.

What is also interesting, is that there are already quite a few tracks that look to be making the final cut. In fact, 10 other cuts on top of “Presha” are on the tracklist. For now, there are only two features, but they are heavy hitters. Benny The Butcher looks to be appearing on the track, “La La La.” Then, Ty Dolla $ign will most likely be providing the hook on “New One.”

The Los Angeles, California rapper’s last effort was in 2018 with Redemption. Since then, he has been a part of a single with REASON called “At It Again – Remix.” Following that he put out two tracks that are expected to land on his upcoming LP, Eastside Johnny*. There is no word on the release date, but hopefully, the time is near. Jay teamed up with Kal Banx on “Eastside,” and then with Anderson .Paak and Latto on, “Too Fast (Pull Over).” Finally, just a few weeks back he dropped some personal bars on a YouTube exclusive freestyle.
