Childish Gambino Sends Fans Into A Frenzy With Electric Kanye West Teaser

Childish Gambino is getting ready to feed his starving fans in a big way very soon. The Georgia rapper and singer has been busy in Hollywood with acting roles lately, but new music will be coming up next. Just last week, he teased several new tracks off his upcoming reimagining of his last record 3.15.20 called Atavista. He did so during a GILGA Radio livestream last Sunday, and fans were having a blast hearing what he has been cooking up. Last night, Childish Gambino did the same thing again last night, and this time, a Kanye West collaboration was the highlight of the evening.

Accounts on X (formerly Twitter) were constantly resharing the audio clip and everyone is in agreement that it sounds fire. The snippet starts out with only Gambino rapping before revealing Kanye just seconds later. Production wise it sounds extremely familiar to a previous Ye record. The industrial and electronic beat would have fit snuggly on his 2013 experiment that was Yeezus.

Childish was definitely not afraid to share most of the song, as the preview went on for nearly three minutes. At point, the two creative masterminds even trade bars back and forth, and they display some great chemistry during that stretch. The Pennsylvania pop phenom has just left off her 11th album called THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT as of April 18. However, Swift stunned and most likely sent her die-hards into a frenzy when she revealed overnight that this was a “secret double album.” That is why there now two version available for streaming, with the elongated version being called THE ANTHOLOGY.

She tweeted out, “I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours. As you can imagine, the Swifties are running up the streams and plays across all platforms. “Fortnight” with Post Malone is already one the album’s most tuned into tracks and for good reason. The opener has a lot of possible secret callbacks to past relationships and flings, as Genius has so astutely researched and theorized.

Lil Mabu is not taken all that seriously in the hip-hop community. Some feel he is just leeching off the culture of the genre to gain fame and attention. Others think he is simply a troll who knows how to capitalize on trends on the internet. Then, there are people who believe he just is not talented in the slightest. Overall, the New York native gets hate, hate, and then some hate on the regular. But with “UNDERDOG SONG,” Lil Mabu welcomes the negativity, as does Lil Baby.

This track appears on the Manhattan native’s newest record YOUNG GENIUS, which is funny nod to how Mabu operates online. Furthermore, this is the first time him and Lil Baby have worked together. Overall, it is a pretty lackluster song. The auto-tuned vocals from Mabu do not sound that pleasing to the ear and Baby’s contributions are pretty by the numbers.

Mabu does flash his ability to rap fast with solid breath control in the second half of the track. The beat is not bad either with hard-hitting kick drums. Doja Cat had fans’ eyes raised when she dropped a trailer last week for an upcoming track on Scarlet 2: CLAUDE. The R&B cut teased the music video along with a secret but familiar silhouette. Massive shoulder pads had people guessing that it was Teezo Touchdown. Those assumptions were right on the money when the deluxe dropped over the weekend. Doja Cat and Teezo’s collab “MASC” is about the complexities of relationships and common issues that can arise.

One selling point of the track is of course these two talents teaming up together for the first time. Both have proven to be very versatile, being able to sing and rap over a variety of instrumentals. “MASC” showcases the first of those two skills, with Doja opening things up with a sticky melody and cadence. “Boy, we way too grown / For this s*** (Mm),” she sings.

Quavo & Destroy Lonely Mesh Well On Their First Song “Potato Loaded”

People had some sneaky suspicions that Quavo and Destroy Lonely could be cooking up something in the studio. Photos surfaced near the very start of 2024 when NLE Choppa shared a post on social media of him chopping it up with the two aforementioned artists. While most people were probably expecting the Memphis rapper to be a part of the collab, that is sadly not the case. However, Quavo and Destroy Lonely are more than enough to get excited about.

Those earlier sessions have resulted in this new single right here, “Potato Loaded.” This is a Quavo single, as Lonely is credited as the feature, which makes this his third solo effort. The former Migo also worked with ATL Jacob and BU$HI as a guest. So, this could mean a third album could be in the works.
